We hired Tim to do our kitchen countertops and plank flooring throughout our home. Everything was under warranty for a year. 5 months after our flooring was installed, two planks needed to be fixed. I had to contact Tim several times for a month straight to have him fix my floor. It took over two months to have him finally fix it. Then about two months ago I found 3 more planks that needed to be fixed. Our floor was still under warranty. I contacted him by phone two times and left two messages. He never called me back. I waited another week and I texted him regarding the issue. I still haven’t heard back from him. He has left me hanging with no call back and hasn’t fixed my flooring. It’s very frustrating to say the least. He doesn’t guarantee his work even though he will tell you he does. He also doesn’t call you back either and from the prior reviews it seems like I’m not the only one. Now I have to pay someone to fix my floor.

My wife and I hired Timothy Thompson (DBA: Timothy’s Custom Countertops) to do some work to update our 50 plus year old kitchen. Some of the work to be done included refinishing the cabinets, replacing the countertops, sink and faucet among other work. We signed an agreement that outlined a specific date to begin the work with a defined brand and model laminate for the countertops, and specific brand and model numbers for both the sink and faucet. A deposit was provided at the time the agreement was signed by both parties more than ten weeks before the work was to begin.A week prior to the start date for the work I called Timothy to ensure all was ready on his end. Timothy indicated he would begin on the date to which we agreed. When he showed on the agreed upon date, he outlined two issues. The first issue was that he is unable to provide the laminate for the countertops as agreed to and in order to refinish the cabinets in the color we discussed it would cost an additional $800 over the price quoted. When I asked Mr. Thompson why we were just hearing of the issues he explained that the amount of our deposit was not sufficient for him to have done any work on our behalf prior to getting half the quoted price. As the work continued Mr. Thompson provided different models of both the sink and faucet than originally agreed to. This was done without our knowledge or our prior consent.A short while after Mr. Thompson had completed the work the countertops began to blister and buckle. To his credit he put new laminate on the effected countertops stating he would stand behind his work. Unfortunately, months later the blistering showed up again. I called Mr. Thompson to let him know of the new issues with the countertops. He indicated that he normally does this type of repair work on Saturdays. Since he was in the middle of a project, I ask that he call me to schedule a time for him to do the repair at his convenience. I specifically asked if he had my phone number and he assured me that he did.After six weeks had passed, I placed another call to Mr. Thompon and left a message that I would like to schedule a time with him to fix the problems with our countertops. After not hearing from him I called again five days later, and he answered. He asked if there was a time that worked better for me. I explained that I am retired and can work around his schedule. He set a specific time and date.On the date of the scheduled repair work to be done I called Mr. Thompson two hours ahead of the scheduled time to let him know we had cleared the countertops and would be ready for him to complete the repairs. I left a voice message. Mr. Thompson did not show at the scheduled time, nor did he call. Almost three weeks have gone by, and I have had no communications from Mr. Thompson even though I have called him and left messages a number of times since.All I can conclude is that Mr. Thompson does not care about his customers or workmanship. I will leave it to the reader to decide if the behavior described is unscrupulous or incompetence. None of these conclusions describe a business that you can trust to receive satisfactory service. Let the buyer beware.At this point, I am forced to deal with the unfortunate situation with a two-pronged approach. I have already contacted a lawyer to seek a legal remedy and I am in the process of looking for a competent contractor to correct the countertop issue which Mr. Thompson seems to be unable or unwilling to fix.

We hired Tim last year to install new flooring throughout our combined foyer, kitchen and family room. To be a very busy independent contractor he was very thorough with making sure our floor was laid correctly as well as fixing other small items/jobs around our home that we hadn’t got to (ie properly installing the brackets in our laundry room holding up the, at the time, bowing shelf). I would highly recommend Thompson’s and will hire him again in the near future.

If I could leave a -0 star I would. My husband and I ordered facing and panel for a bathroom cabinet. He came out twice to our home, he was late both times to where we had to call and remind him of our appointment.( Both times he showed up with NO MASK which was very disrespectful) We placed the order but 3 days later we called to cancel the order because we ended up having the entire bathroom gutted out to be replaced with all new fixtures.When asked for our refund of almost $1000, his response was I already put your order in and I dont give refunds! Its not my fault you changed your minds. He was very rude. Then he spoke badly about another customer in a similar situation as ours. That customer left a review on his website but I see Timothy had deleted it. Weve tried contacting him for 2 wks. He told us not to call his phone again and have not heard from him In these 3 months. Still no refund, receipt or product. He has run off with our money. This has resulted in me taking him to court. I would NOT recommend Thompson Cabinet company.

Tim is very unprofessional, unorganized and poor time management skills. I do not recommend using this business he is not registered with the BBB, nor does he provide a contractor license number.

Tim does great work!
