Topsider oil extractor. First time I used it, never worked again. Checked all gaskets. Will not hold a pinch of air. I ended up adding my shop vac to it so I can finish the job. Returning this as soon as I am done. Really need to improve the overall sealing and pump system.

NT is one of my favorite stores to go to for just about any outdoor or mechanical project. I am an engineer and a very experienced DIYer to boot, and find that there is rarely a tool that I need which the store doesnt have. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their products and, more importantly, willing to admit when they dont know something and get someone else to help. Occasionally something will be out of stock, but the store has always been quick to get it in. I take advantage of the store pickup option often and it is as painless as it gets. Just be careful when you go in - there is a LOT to look at and drool over! There are varying levels of quality, but very few of the items sold here are junk-quality. (The only exception is the aisle with the discount bins. I quit looking at that stuff long ago.)Do yourself a favor and skip the other freight store and go here. The enormous increase in quality makes it well worth any additional expense (buy once, cry once).

The 1st time I came specifically to buy Milwaukee Impact. Ive stopped in here several other times. The staff was very helpful. Lots of good quality merchandise.

They have added additional products to there lineup at the Burnsville Minnesota location. Reset the complete store for a great shopping experience. New products like electrical, plumbing. I like the new items. Today I bought a trailer dolly and utility cart.

I wasnt sure if Northern would have what I needed or not but they did. They had something that worked anyway. I needed pins for the tailgate on my dump truck. They seem to be working just fine.

Went to Burnsville store. I could not find Smart straps. Had to walk to front of store to find help. About 6 clerks congregated at front. If you dont walk around store and talk to customers, you dont get sales. First Clerk did not know where straps were. Second clerk showed where straps were. Out of stock so ordered online. Disappointing retail experience.

Got a great deal on a heavy duty wagon, and it was a fast and easy checkout. They have it to where you can add a person to pick up whatever you need, which is amazing as I live at least 45 minutes away from any store, so I am able to have a family member, who lives much closer, pick it up for me. Also I love the fact that they have it where they will bring whatever you ordered out to your vehicle because the thing I ordered is heavy, and I dont want my family member to have to try and lift that heavy of a weight. Havent picked it up quite yet, but so far overall, a great experience :)

One of the nicer Northern tools I can remember being in.However- the lady at the checkout was more preoccupied with clipping her nails than helping me check out. That’s right, she legitimately was clipping her nails through the entire checkout process. She was also rude verbally and didn’t reciprocate any pleasantries. Normally that would be fine but don’t clip your freaking nails while you’re working..... can’t believe the closest store to their corporate office would have such employees.... I’ll drive 20 minutes in the opposite direction for a different hardware store next time.

Very nice selection of high quality tools and parts most of which arent able to be found at the big box hardware stores. The service is pretty thin which I personally like...I can shop and look for what I want without getting asked if I need help every two minutes. I was replacing a hub and bearings on my boat trailer so one of those things they arent going to be able to help with since I didnt have the part I was replacing with me and needed some time to figure out which ones matched mine. My one complaint is that theres always only a single cashier working, and the wait to check out takes some time....not the best when youre on your lunch break and trying to duck in and out quick in order to get back to work.

Went in to get a snowblower carburetor gasket and at the parts department, the guy new exactly what I needed and they had one in stock.

Great vendor for high-quality industrial tools as well as specialty replacement parts. Fills product niches not found at Fleet Farm or Menards in the automotive and farm equipment. Topped off by friendly staff.

I knew that I was going to buy a pressure washer, and I even knew the model that I was going to pick up. I did a lot of research on specs and prices, but I dont know the ins and outs of pressure washers. The sales person recognized that I knew what I wanted, so definitely didnt try to up-sell me on another model. Additionally, he told me some of the features of the machine, general practices for operating it, and even some safety tips that I wouldnt have known (never having owned a pressure washer); like, dont leave the engine running without spraying water at least every two minutes!I was impressed with the employees knowledge of all the parts on the machine, knew where it was designed, tested, and manufactured. He also pointed out that these Northern Tool pressure washers are all modular, so if the water pump ever wears out, I can just buy a new part rather than a whole new machine.Bottom line, I was impressed with the employees knowledge, good attitude, and the price of the equipment.

Never shop at this store! Purchased a welding cart. Received it in such bad condition that it wouldnt even go together and paint was missing. Called and they said that they would ship another. 3 weeks later, still didnt get replacement nor a return label for first cart. Called again!!! Finally got a replacement cart. They said to put original one on front step and UPS would come pick it up. Again, after 3 weeks (so now a total of 6 weeks and repeatedly calling) on my door step ups never came and got it. Then after a few months i get a letter in the mail that they were sending me to collections for the first cart not being returned. I should not have had to pay to return their item that they sent to me. Tried to report incident to BBB but they are not part of BBB.

I have been there 2 times and I have been given the wrong battery each time for my wood chipper. Needless to.say I need to make another trip. I love the store but this has been a little disappointing.

I purchased small 5 cu ft dumping lawn trailer. Purchased at store. Got to last part of assembly and noticed one wheel had missing wheel bearing. Called number in manual for support. Waited for 20 min on hold. They then said I have to contact store for that. They also told me to tell them not to call them. I was just hoping they would mail out part. So down to store I went. They took care of me.There is nothing I hate more than a seperate online and store entity. Yet they have same name. I bet the online people dont work for Northern. But one star for poor cust service.
