I went to Burnsville Family Eye Care for the first time this week. The doctor was great - he did a thorough exam and explained everything as he checked. I ordered new glasses and sunglasses, and the optician was also fantastic. She helped me pick out different frames to try, gave her honest opinion, and even scheduled a second appointment the next day so I could bring my husband to help me decide on the new frames. I will definitely be going to this clinic from now on.

The Dr. was fantastic, but picking up my contacts, worst customer service in the world. I asked for an extra eye case and a sample of some solution and the receptionist practically threw the box at me. So RUDE!! I am considering changing just because of her. I used to see Dr Reba from there loved her. She was very accommodating. This receptionist really ruined it for me.

Doctor paid attention to my request. Staff made eyewear selection easy and fun. Great and friendly atmosphere.

Everyone in the clinic treats you like a friend or family. The doctors take their time and really explain and answer any questions you may have. The staff Jenny, Jessica and Paul are WONDERFUL and go beyond just a greeting. What a terrible experience at Burnsville Family Eye Care. I have been going to this place for years and have loved the staff that I have encountered until recently. Dr. Michelle Ryba is absolutely phenomenal (sweetest and most caring optometrist I have met), Paul and Jenny are enthusiastic and very helpful; however, Jenny is no longer with Burnsville Family Eye Care and a person named Al has taken her position as one of the opticians.My experience with Al was terrible (terrible is an understatement). I felt like I was rushed and pressured into getting new glasses on the spot. He was impatient and did not have a good attitude whatsoever. I thought maybe it was just a Monday which was why he was not in a good mood; however, when I returned for a second time, his attitude did not change. It seems as if he dislikes his job and it is absolutely frustrating to encounter someone like that when you are trying to do business with them. He automatically charged me for my glasses without going through what was included in the price. Didnt even bother giving me a receipt detailing what was included or anything either. Very unprofessional and rude.Jenny was NEVER like that. I absolutely loved working with her and getting to pick out new glasses was an absolute joy. She was a true gem and was very patient with the clients. She did everything that Al did NOT do.Dr. Michelle Ryba was/is a phenomenal optometrist as well but I was unable to have her perform my exam the last time I was there for a check-up. Instead, I had a new optometrist (not Dr. Ufken) who did not exceed my expectations. Her physical appearance seemed to be sloppy and unprofessional. She was not very engaging with me either.Such an unpleasant experience and truly disappointing since this has been the place Ive gone to for years.

The doctor explained everything that she was doing during the exam and I really liked that, helped me understand more. And the desk people in the front helped me choose some nice glasses! Very friendly staff! Highly recommend going here

I decided to try a new eye doctor. Im 63 and have seen a few different eye doctors in my life. I was so impressed with everyone at Burnsville Eye Care from the receptionist to Emily the eye doctor. Everyone was pleasant, patient, and more then willing to answer all my questions. I usually dont right reviews but Burnsville Family Eye Care is exceptional. I checked reviews for eyeglass places covered on my insurance and went to check out a private practice in Burnsville with great reviews. I said I was shopping for a new place, and I was helped by three different very friendly staff. I picked out frames that day, and they estimated my out of pocket costs. I came back two weeks later for my exam, and Dr Ryba was wonderful. She explained everything, and I got the most complete exam ever. Jenny who placed the order had checked my insurance and had recommendations, so that went seamlessly. She measured accurately, so I had confidence the glasses would work. Today I picked them up, and right out of the gate they were perfect. I love them. Why didnt I switch places years ago? Each of the three times I went, they were well staffed, so there was very little waiting. I cant remember when Ive been so impressed with a business.

I was really impressed with Dr Mattson AND his whole office. He really seemed to know his stuff and was really thorough plus he was fun. The same thing with his office workers. And they are very welcoming at the same time as they are professional. I felt very comfortable with all of them.

I had a great experience here; I was able to get an appointment quickly, the staff were all very knowledgeable and friendly, and Dr. Ryba was wonderful. I also liked that they went out of their way to make sure I understood my insurance plan and what my charges would look like even though that’s ultimately my responsibility. The crew here is awesome! My husband and I needed new glasses and the place we’ve been going to is no longer in our network. We came in on a Saturday and Jenny was so patient and awesome with us and our kiddos (even when we accidentally stayed later than close).They have a great selection of nice frames and were super helpful and honest when helping us pick out our glasses. I saw Dr. Chris Palmer for my annual eye exam. When I arrived, the clinic was very professional looking and the people were warm and welcoming. My wait was short and my visit with Dr. Palmer was very thorough. I found him to be both personable and professional. He answered my many questions and helped me understand more about what the eye exam includes and why its so important.When I was done, one of the ladies who worked in the front reviewed my insurance for me and discovered I qualified for a nice pair of glasses. She took the initiative to do this on her own and it benefited me because I really needed a new pair of glasses.I plan to continue going to Burnsville Family Eye Care for my eye exams and I will refer my friends and family to them.

Dr. Mattson is extremely knowledgeable in his trade, using some of the more advanced techniques regularly. He also explains everything he does with thoroughness, making sure you know what all the tests indicate. The office staff is friendly and helpful. This is definitely the place to go to for an eye exam in the Burnsville area.

Had a wonderful experience at Burnsville Family Eye Care. Without optical insurance, we found Burnsville Family Eye Care very affordable. I was seen by Dr Michelle Ryba she was very professional. Looked for cataracts, diabetes, pressure in my eyes along with a list of other optical diseases. Back in 2007 I had a baseline photo of my eyes, and we were able to compare with the one taken in 2018. It was comforting to know that my eyes are very healthy. I would definitely recommend Burnsville Family Eye Care.

I have since moved 20 miles further away, and since theyve relocated, they are now 25 miles away, however we still plan to go here because we get the best customer service. Very dissapointed! Had issues with progressive lenses,..NOT my fault! Their eye dr recommended going to single vision and STILL was charged for progressive lenses!!! I asked for a credit or reimbursement for the difference and management told me No ..we dont do that!!!! Bad business tactics!
