Nice store, smaller than Edina store, nice staff, under construction right now
I had an amazing experience at the Burnsville, MN Lunds & Byerlys. While on my way home from work, and in preparation for an evening dinner guest, I stopped and picked up several bags of groceries. Once home and after the grill was fired up, I noticed that the meat that I just purchased did not make it home. I had used the drive-thru pickup. A quick look in my car revealed that one numbered pickup card was still laying there. Byerlys DROVE to my home and hand delivered the missing groceries in time to serve the meal - a good half hour drive for them! And they added in a few grocery surprises. What fantastic customer service! If only everyone handled a simply human mistake with such integrity and speed! The meat department is exceptional. I count on them for freshness and flavor. If you get a chance to know the staff, they are quick with tips and often have suggestions on how to prepare your main dish. They also have their own line of seasonings that complement fish, beef, chicken, and lamb. The variety available for fish, which I love, fits almost and taste bud.Their cheese selection is fantastic; I buy 3-4 varieties every week and have been able to get what I need for most any recipe. The desserts and pastries are really stand-out. I’ve bought the Chocolate Raspberry Mascarpone in a least four locations across the Twin Cities. They likely all use the same recipe, but consistently, the bakery department at the Burnsville location makes them the very best! They sell several brand items that otherwise I am running several place to catch. One favorite that comes to mind are the La Perruche Br Sugar Cubes and Mexican Coke in glass bottles.Out of all few places that I have shopped during COVID-19, I think they have done the best job of keeping a distance between shoppers at checkout, washing things down, and having all the staff wear masks. Most of all, the customer service is second to none!
I love byerlys. But this particular byerlys is such a disappointment. Food is always old and dried up. Freshness is a fail. From rotisserie chicken to the Chinese food. It’s just crazy how far off this one is from all of the other byerlys. Maybe they should visit at least 3 other locations so they know what they are doing wrong. They could definitely do better.
Love their products. Everyone is always so helpful!
This location is amazing. Store is huge with food course and so many take out options. Best quality food product and fresh produce.
Very nice clean store.Lots of lights.Greeters at every door. Some have us bank at there locations.Fresh, bright produce.Lots of options at deli, bakery, meat department. In house salad bars, restaurant & much more.Groceries on the high end but well worth it.Some locations offer drive up service after shopping.
Their deli food is over priced and they like to throw it in the garbage can. This store will soon be replaced by a HyVee.
When you were going to Lunds and Byerlys you know what you’re getting into. This is a premium grocery store experience, with quality products, but be prepared to pay a premium price. That being said, if you can find the right deals, there are terrific products here. This week they ran a $7.99 per pound porterhouse and T-bone steak sale, and I could not be more pleased with the quality and value!
More expensive than other grocery stores but produce is outstanding, bakery is great, amazing meat dept. Overall, staff is wonderful and one of the only grocery stores where staff and customers properly wear masks. Thank you.
Despite higher prices compared to other grocery stores, the quality of their products always outshines the competition! They always have excellent selection of bakery items, produce, seafood, and meat. I also love all of their store-brand products! Clean, organized, and friendly staff, I’ve been coming shopping here for years, and can’t see myself shopping anywhere else.
Love this place. If you need it they got it and the help is great all the time
The store is nice and the bakery is awesome. Good produce selection. The meat Dept guys are always really friendly and helpful. Needlessly more expensive than other stores for commercial items... I can understand a price hike for local, gourmet, store-made, rare ingredients, etc., but a can of national brand beans or a packet of taco seasoning should be roughly the same price no matter where you go.
Wonderful store! Management went above and beyond to help me.
Fantastic food, nice employees, always great vibes. They charge reasonable rates and the food quality is great. Fantastic work.
If you are looking for good customer service, dont go here! My goodness. Needed to get something mailed out, went in at 8:15 AM to find their service desk closed where they sell postage, manila envelopes etc. Asked around to other employees and you would have thought I was asking for their arm! Someone directed me to an area in the store where they sold stationary and unfortunately they didnt have the envelope I needed to mail. I went back to the front to ask a clerk if they could just sell me one manila envelope from the service desk that was in clear sight and they flat out refused. Sorry Mam, our service desk doesnt open till 9 am What a joke.
Byerlys is my favorite place to shop for groceries. They have the best meat and produce in town. The staff is always friendly and they go out of their way to get you anything you need. They are also old school. Pull into the drive-thru and they load your groceries into the car for you. If you want to be pampered, or you are looking for great deals on food, this is the place to go.
The store never has enough employees working the front so the store is always messy and there are always long lines. the employees cant even help customers find items or even do self checkout. seems like management isnt doing a good enough to support their employees or customers
The atmosphere is awesome here... The music, carpeting, lighting, and the clean and fully stocked shelves make this place a pleasant place to shop.
Not overly impressed with this location, have encountered rude people working in deli on more than one occasion. To her credit, the manager I spoke with was responsive, apologetic and offered to refund my money. Still wont be going back, the Eagan location is much better.
The prices here ARE higher than the other grocery stores in the area, except their sale items! Check out their weekly ad for great deals! The team members here are helpful and friendly, and if you like not having to haul out your cart and bags, they have a pickup location around the side of the store, so you dont have to move anything after checkout, (untill you get home)! If you live close, its worth checking out their ads when they come out each Thursday to see if there are any deals with stopping in for!
Not as nice as some bigger stores, the Burnsville location is still the nicest grocery store in the area. Nice selection of good food. Liquor store was added a few years ago, super nice
Best grocery store around.
Talk about customer service! Everyone here is so friendly, and seems genuinely happy to work there. Top of the line products are available, and the bakery is stocked full of mouth watering pastries! It is a little bit more expensive, but the positive shopping experience is worth paying a few dollars extra.
Wendy was so helpful answering all my questions! So Awesome and knowledgeable! I really appreciated the time she took to get what I needed!
This store always has the hard to find items I am looking for! Their produce and meat departments are far superior to any other grocer in this area and will answer any question you have along with provide friendly suggestions for your home cooking! The bakery department is wonderful, always friendly and of course delicious! I love the Caribou and recent addition of Big Bowl! Excellent place to stop by if you need some flowers and a greeting card, they have the best Bachmans arrangements at a VERY reasonably priced!
Just had a sample giver and deli manager argue with me about a Bavarian Champington being a brie and that I didnt know what I was talking about when I said it was delicious but not a brie. She continues by telling me that we even make brie here. Well, my question is how long have they been importing soil from the Brie region of France that help produce the grass for the cows making the specific milk used for true brie. Upset me so bad I forgot to purchase the California Champagne that theyre probably famous for. Super condescending experience from ignorant people that fail to realize that they might not know everything and might be talking to someone with a little more experience in the topic.Edit/addition: I know that anyone can make a cheese anywhere the same way as they do in France for the original brie. But there are only two places in France, Meaux and Melun, whos got the certification from the Appellation d’Origine Controllée (AOC) to sell it as true brie.
Literally the second person in line to be checked out, The lady behind the counter completely look past me started helping another customer I guess it pays to be WHITE, if you’re a person of color you get ignored!!! In Lunds and barleys here in Burnsville!!!!! And then they both looked at me like oh well she can wait.... 🤣🤣🤣
The store has a great vibe. The bakery is fabulous. Breads and desserts are always on point.
I purchased over 3 lbs of snow crab legs tonight from the Burnsville Byerlys and couldn’t have been more disappointed!! There was at best $20 worth of meat in my almost $65 purchase.
Love the staff. Especially Gaylind
I went in and got 8 doughnuts and 2 cinnamon rolls. They are DELICIOUS! And the service is second to none.
I like the store. The food quality and selection is good. I have a problem w/ their liquor department. And, in speaking w/ neighbors, I find my problem is not unique. The asking for identification for all people is ludicrous and insulting. Im going to be 64 years old in a couple weeks, and I look my age. The standard reply when I say I will not show ID is, We card everyone w/ the myopic philosophy being asking everyone for ID is fair. It is fundamentally unfair. Treating everyone the same would be fair if everyone were the same. But, we are not all the same. We are all different and should be treated accordingly. The clerk got loud and sanctimonious when I voiced my reason for not showing ID. I was buying a small bottle of marsala wine! The manager was present and told the officious clerk to sell me the marsala. The manager had a look on his face that he knew the clerk was a problem, giving me the Im sorry look. The only way to end insulting, unfair, and stupid rules like We card everyone is to resist. I had a clerk a month or so ago insist on me providing ID. I had an order of about $80. I walked out and took my business elsewhere. I encourage others to do the same. This rule will change if people demand fair and just treatment. Im not talking about people in their 20s-40s. Im saying if you are 50 years old or older, refuse to show ID.
I have been shopping at different Lunds locations for years and today was the first time I had a bad experience. Unfortunately the experience was so bad that I felt compelled to leave this comment. My husband and I were getting set to use the self check-out as weve done countless times. We had 15 plus items so were heading to the station with the larger bagging area but the woman watching the self check-out told us to use the smaller one...fine. She then asked if I felt comfortable using the self check-out. I told her yes and started checking myself out. A few moments later she came over and took my bakery items out of my cart and said she would run them because they could be tricky. She didnt ask if I needed help, just informed me she was going to do it. I thought that was odd but let it go. Because we had so many items our bags started to pile up. She informed us in a rather abrupt manner that we could put some bags on the floor since we had so many. This would have not been an issue is she had allowed us to use the other register. After she had rung up the bakery items she asked if we could manage our bags. We informed her we would be fine and started towards the door. As I was putting on my coat she asked again if we needed help. We declined. As we were gathering our bags she very rudely told us we could not take the cart out of the store. Separately these things might not have cause a bad experience, but when they all happened within a five minute period it is not ok. Im very disappointed in this location and will not be returning. Perhaps she was having a bad day or perhaps it was because my husband and I might not seem like the stereotypical Lunds shoppers. Whatever it was, it shouldnt have happened.
This store has the nicest people who are willing to help you find things. The store is always clean and friendly.
Wonderful German chocolate cake loved it!!!! Was a gift and everyone enjoyed! Moist and fresh! Excellent I will be back!
Great service from a great staff every time I stop here. The selection of local produce is usually better than other grocery stores in the area (CUB).The weekly specials and BOGOs cannot be matched or beat by any competitor.
We purchased your so called choice t bones for new years eve. Ive been in the meat business for 30 plus yrs. Those were not choice. Select or no roll at best. Toughest steaks, and tasteless. Very disappointed. Thx for the Byerly experience. We wont be back. Have a tough new year.
I go to the Burnsville location all the time for food for work. I love the $6 sushi special so every Wednesday I get sushi its always fresh! And they normally don t have the one i like pre-made so they always make it for me, just the way I like but what always wows me, is the impeccable customer service! He remembered excalty how I ordered my sushi last time down to (light on the siracha sauce)his name is Alvin and he deserves a raise! There is also an older gentleman that works there too who is also amazing!! And always remember me too. Thats what keeps loyal people coming back!
Friendly staff, get a credit for using reusable bags, but many prices dont beat Cub of SuperTarget - on regular price. However, check their circulars, because you can often find specific items, especially when they have a BOGO, that are definitely worth it. They offer drive-up, place-in-your-car service too.
Excellent customer service. Beats anywhere in town. You pay for it in price but its well worth it.
Great vibe! Lots of options - quality products.
Love this place, awesome post office and amazing hours. Great food and snacks through the store. Shop & ship love it!!
Live near by great products so fresh, great customer service love the sweet s as well so much to choose from .
Seems to have gone down hill, especially in the past year. Customer service is terrible they literally just ignore you.
Store was very clean and organized. The staff were very helpful and in good spirit.
If there butcher wasnt so awesome..... I would never step back in this store.... It used to be amazing store. Recently things have changed......
Love the deli, but the prices in general are a bit above other stores.
Still good, but used to be a lot better.
I order online from time to time and I understand things aren’t always in stock and I also might forget to add something. Emily and the online order team is not only on top of things and making calls about out of stocks but they are even flexible when I forget things too and try to find the best solution possible!
It is very nice every time I go there
Really good food, and staff is really nice. Hope to work here some day.
Absolutely best grocery store in this area, hands down!
Great Customer service, friendly employees and the freshest produce.
Love their red box but as far as their prices go. Hell no.
Good location with a coffee shop inside.
So nice and clean great place to shop
My favorite store! Always friendly staff, great assortment of produce, and excellent food!
The area designed to eat food is more often dirty than clean.
This place is a million times better and cheaper. TONS of organic food and products.
The deli is amazing here!
Just ordered 24 piece chicken for a party... it was dry and chewy.
Great bakery!!!
Always friendly and quick.
My favorite deli, butcher and salad bar in a grocery store.
They will not accept anything over 20 lbs. And its inside a grocery store.
Love it.
THERE IS NO POST OFFICE HERE! Thanks to this, my package will be late! NOT happy...this needs to be fixed! 😡😡
Variety, friendly service
Always great
Nice employees.
