The only place I go for skateboard and longboard supplies. Great staff, great selection, and great service! Helped me pick out my first skateboard and set it up for me. Any time I need an adjustment or need to change something out they are happy to help. Its quite a bit of a drive from golden valley but well worth it! Cant wait to stop in again!

I occasionally take my 12 yr son in the store. He has never had a poor experiences. Everyone who works there has always treated him respectfully. They start talking a foreign language (skate lingo) together. I can’t follow along, but my son loves it. I love how everyone treats him. They have never talked down to him or nor does anyone ever make him feel childish. He feels like his opinion matters and his questions are valid. Thank you!

Stopped in yesterday knowing absolutely nothing about skateboards and the gentleman walked me through all the parts required and assembled my board right there. I also appreciate the thorough answers I got to the many questions I had while watching him put it together. I’d recommend the shop to anyone!

Absolutely the best experience Ive ever had looking for a longboard and skateboard. Ive been there twice before and Ive always had a great time, the staff is knowledgeable and amazing. Also they let you stand and roll around on the boards in the shop which other places dont let you do *cough* zoomies. One of the workers there even changed the wheels on the longboard for me because I though some other ones were cooler for no extra charge.If you live far away its worth the drive, if you live close its worth checking out even if you dont want to buy anything.Give this business your money.

Mom here! My 8 year old wanted to learn to snowboard and Ive been a downhill skier thus far. New territory for both my son and I! I promised to learn with my son and.... NO idea what we needed. First impression with the staff: Really good at listening to what we were going into and why. They were very helpful, patient and knowledgeable! I had questions from boards, bindings and boots to clothing, protection, waxing/sharping and outerwear. I cant emphasize enough how patient the staff was. I felt confident and comfortable with the help gearing up the both of us. In addition to that they helped with outerwear for my 10 year old skiing son Great group of folks here! Big box stores cant compare to the dedication here. I will be back when my kiddos grow out of their gear! Thanks Zombie Board staff!

This is the best store ever! They have outstanding customer service. We have gotten equipment and clothing here and trust the staffs advice 100% when buying items. They listen to your level of experience and work to match your skill level to what you should buy. They love their jobs and what they are selling and you can tell. Lovely local board shop. Outstanding selection of extreme sport attire and sports-action fare. Although– their helicopter-staff, while very friendly and pleasant, were overly attentive and quite intrusive at times. Its almost like they received specific training to approach unwitting and unsuspecting customers in their bi-weekly sales meetings to help sell more product. Otherwise, great experience, highly recommend.

Stopped in to take a look at longboards for a birthday present. The inventory was limited and the salesperson said they hadn’t received their recent shipment of boards. Due to the limited choices we looked at the smaller/traditional boards. I put a board on the floor and stood on it to get a feel for the trucks and board. At that point the salesman said, “let’s not do that if you’re not buying”. We certainly aren’t with that approach. I’ve been going to board shops since cal surf in the 90s and in 30 years never experienced such a pushy salesperson in the hobby. Hopefully this isn’t how most of the staff treats customers.

I am very new to snowboarding and the staff here was extremely helpful and friendly. They made explaining equipment very relatable and never felt pressured to buy. Was greeted immediately when I came in and the whole store has an amazing vibe. Left very happily with a bunch of new stuff and will make the 30min drive anytime to shop here!

Zombie Boardshop has been a great part of the local skate and snowboard community for years. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable on all of the products they sell. They always have the best new gear around and put on some great deals. Weather youre a seasoned veteran boarder or have a kid just wanting to try something out this is the place to go! Give them a follow on social media to stay up to date on all the great events they put on for the community.

Would give 6 stars out of 5 if I could. I went in to buy some clothing here (supporting local business) and fell in love with the place. The staff are the chillest, down to earth people, who treat you like family when you walk in. I dont even skate (film others mostly), but the atmosphere makes you want to hang around the store all day. Plus, they host events from time to time which really highlights the sense of community. Id highly recommend anyone to go here for the knowledge and passion they have for skateboarding and snowboarding, it shows.

Stopped in on my lunch break to admire the old school skateboard decks (used to be into that 30 plus years ago) nice selection of decks. They were helpful and did not make me feel like an old guy with a mid life crisis looking at skateboards. I just took a walk down memory lane and they were great...if my kids get into it...Im taking them here!

The owner helped us determine which snowboard would be the best for my son. He was very helpful and patient, and best of all he was able to get the board set up so my son could ride that same day! Great service, nice people, and really cool place!

Best skate shop in Minnesota

They have a decent variety of options in their store, and are really the only specialty store in the area if you need something in a pinch. However, the employees there do not seem particularly knowledgeable on the products, and do little to offer informative advice. My husband, myself, and my son were looking into buying completely new boards, bindings, boots, and goggles after taking several years off to start our family. There was one female there that seemed partial to essentially every item they had, not offering much guidance, and seemingly just looking to make a sale. I approached one of the other males working there on some technical questions/concerns, and he did very little to offer facts; but more so seemed to brush off answering and seemed focus on continuing his conversation with yet another employee standing around. Needless to say, we bought over $2k worth of products while on a Colorado trip, opposed to shopping locally - which is something we try our best to do. Very disappointing service. Especially on a weekday evening, when there was no one else in the shop to attend to.Side note: they also have a small dog that freely roams the store.

Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They are not on top of you while you shop but are always available for questions. Prices are good, especially fro the quality. I love coming here in the winter for snowboarding gear and in the summer for skate gear. All around a great shop.

Awesome location, great staff, and a wide range of products! I purchased an entire snowboarding set here a few years ago and I still love it. They also offer pretty cheap maintenance! I got a board wax and grind for less than $30, and was very happy with it. Hands down the best boardshop in the area.

I may not know how to grind a rail, nollie, or do any other gnarly tricks..but I do know how to rate a rad shop! The guys here are laid back and more then willing to help in any way possible. Prices are competitive, and helping the smaller independent shops always awesome! Good selection of snowboards, skateboards, long boards, any other kind of board... I personally come here for the sunglasses and shoes! Definitely a must stop if your looking for unique gear!

Great experience we purchased a loaded long board. Staff was friendly and walked us through all the different designs and types until we narrowed the board styles, wheel types down to to a loaded long board, we were even encouraged to stand on the boards. Great experience.

This is a couple months late but, this blonde dude working there was a complete dick to me because i didnt get my board from their shop i came in to ask if he could apply the griptape for me but he complained about it and only did half of it and just left and had someone else do it, the other guy was a lot nicer though and is the reason im not giving a one star review
