Worked with John and he was incredibly helpful and efficient. Swapped out the DVD player after thinking it was the stereo. I was in and out within 20 minutes.I don’t want my stereo to break down ever again, but if it does, at least the silver lining is I’ll get to work with them again.
Wow! What a concept. Anyone who truly loves cars wants to keep it as original as possible. Aftermarket radios never look good in an older car. These folks can help repair or replace your original radio and even possibly add the benefit of modern features like bluetooth or an auxiliary jack. Give them a try, very responsive on the phone and in person. Really appreciate the help with my BMW business CD recently.
They misdaignosed the pcm/radio from my porsche told me the main board was bad, unrepairable and tried to sell me different one for $700. My problem was a separate satellite radio module so it should have performed fine on their bench test if they were competent. They were not only wrong the unit is working completely fine now but refused to refund the $35 diagnostic fee when I called and explained they failed to properly diagnose the unit.
I had bought a used car and the radio didn’t work. I called FORD and explained the problem, they knew exactly what I was talking about and told me I need a certain piece(I forgot the name) I called to OEM and they got me in the same day. I was ELATED! I ABSOLUTELY recommend this place. Jonathan was knowledgeable & very professional.
Joe & the guys at OEM CAR AUDIO are fantastic! They confirmed the problem with my radio, provided a rebuilt one in a timely manner, & didnt treat me like a moron (at least not to my face :)) when I installed it without the fuse. Whatever your car audio needs, give Joe and the others at OEM CAR AUDIO a call. Theyll treat you right.
I needed to repair an Acura Navigation DVD unit. Acura dealers in my area suggested sending the unit to the manufacturer, Alpine, in California. Alpine quoted $358 to service the unit; $458 to buy a rebuilt one. The folks at OEM repaired my unit, including replacing several broken parts, for about $200! But it wasnt simply the great price that was important to me. When I called and talked with Jon, it was clear he knew exactly what the issues likely were and was incredibly helpful over the phone. My repaired unit was shipped back (carefully wrapped) in a timely manner. I had a followup question and Jon was great about helping out. Cant recommend OEM enough. What a great find!
They dont buy OEM car audio!
Had some issues with a 7th Gen Accord radio not turning on. John tested both my stock radio and the junkyard radio I picked up and even provided me the codes (both were good). He helped me narrow down my problem and referred me to a reputable car audio shop that subsequently fixed my problem (replaced constant 12V power source). John is a standup guy and treated me like a brother. I would not hesitate to do business here in the future. Thank you!
Brought in my navigation DVD drive from my Acura TL and they fixed it for a very reasonable price. They even shipped it back to me at no cost. Very quick turnaround. Staff is friendly. I will be coming Back to them if I need any further OEM electronics repairs.
Shipped my SUVs stereo/nav unit to them from Kentucky. it was shipped there, fixed, and returned to me all within a week. most importantly, it now works great! awesome job guys!!
Extremely glad I stopped here first! John quickly set me up for success with the part I needed and sent me over to a shop that could take care of the install. AMAZING AND RECOMMEND!!!
Stopped in with the head unit out of my SUV. Spoke with John (Jon?) about doing a bench test to find out the problem. Mentioned to him Id be taking the vehicle into the dealer for service in a couple days. He suggested reinstalling the unit as the shop would run a diagnostic on the vehicle and would likely be able to tell me what the problem is with the unit. He didnt want me to pay for the diagnostic twice, saved me some $. He could have went ahead with the bench test and not said a word, but was upfront and honest with me. Many thanks!
2015 Toyota 4 Runner broke glass and LCD screen on radio. Sent to them and had it back in a week repaired. Installed today. Truly awesome experience. Great experience!!
I needed a part, one that I thought I wouldnt ever find. You know who had this part? These guys. They had the part. Super fast and friendly. Called them up, asked about my part, they knew exactly what it was and set it aside for me. Really great
Left feedback on Yelp as well, awesome experience with these guys. Customer service was outstanding, Jon went out of his way to fix my wrong choice. They held back the replacement because they didn’t feel it was good enough. And called to make sure I was happy with the replacement as a follow up. Any negative reviews of this company are false, buy with confidence they are top notch. Great job guys, keep up the good work!!!
SUPER HELPFUL. EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE. VERY FRIENDLY
Great costumer service and very quick! Jon was the person helping us out and he did a wonderful job looking for the best possible affordable prices and we got exactly what we are looking for and I couldn’t be anymore thankful! So thank you Jon!
Great experience ... trouble with CD player out of 986 Porsche. Confronted with choice of replacement or repair. OEM repaired and replaced the CD mechanism within 24hrs. Recieved a call from the technician who explained the repair and promptly shipped the stereo back the same day. Couldnt be happier and all done at the quoted price.
Item shipped within a reasonable time, it was packaged well and with care. I had to contact the customer service number that I found on eBay and I was immediately helped! The rep’s name was John and he was very helpful. I would definitely purchase from them again.
I was quite impressed they called me after I made the purchase on Ebay to make sure the radio was going to fit my vehicle. While some may find this bothersome, I found it great customer service. The cost and delivery time was very reasonable. This would be a worry free place for anyone to purchase their car radio. It was a pleasure doing business with OEM Car Audio.
I had a great experience with this company. I bought a sterio for my Toyota Camry a year ago, which is still working very well. The package came right away and the item was in great shape.I bought another system from them last week for my Honda. This time I had trouble fitting it into my car. The person on the phone was very helpful and took me through the process. He even offered to refund my money. Superb customer service! I highly recommend them.
A pleasure to have done business with. I bought a radio for my vehicle and I got it within a matter of a couple days. Even when I realize it wasn’t compatible they replaced it with the one that is.
Purchased a radio and 6 disc cd player on E-bay. I could not be happier. It was a plug and play just like they said. Fast shipping, great product, and it works great. Thank you. Steve
My experience with OEM has been excellent. I got exactly what I ordered within 72 hours and any questions were answered promptly. I would definitely do business with this company again.
After spending a few days asking Dan and Josh a dozen or so questions to ensure that I understood the correct unit to buy, I ordered a new radio block for my daughters Honda. After installation, I thought I had a bum unit and called to figure out what to do. I got in touch with Jose, at the Texas office, who asked me to check some things which I did. Still trouble. So, I called Jose again and he graciously offered to exchange the unit for another and set it to ship as soon as possible. I eventually figured out my problem and the original unit was just fine after all. I so appreciate the EXCELLENT customer service. I am now a loyal fan and customer of Original Car Audio.
Brought in my Infiniti G35 radio for repairs and was very pleased with the over and above service I was provided. The technician made sure everything worked great before returning the repaired unit to me. Thanks guys.
Very helpful and patient with my purchases. I Originally bought the incorrect item, they helped me to find the correct item and got it shipped to me with no problems. I then had issues installing my stereo block that I purchased and I got walked through what I may have done wrong in hooking up the block to the face-plate and they got it right on the dot! Fixed the issue and became a very satisfied customer! :)
I had a very positive experience with this vendor. Needed a radio for a Mercedes Benz. Excellent price, fast shipping, and great communication. I really appreciated the excellent customer service, when I received the radio everything was perfect.Thank you.
Its not often that I get scammed but they got me good. More to come soon...... looking forward to warning others how to avoid this easy to buy game.
After months of searching for a solution to solve my radio/cd-player problem on my 2006 Honda Accord I decided to try Original Car Audio and purchased an original replacement for my defective unit. I was surprised by their prompt shipment and the best price available on the web. I installed the unit in fifteen minutes, entered the code provided by Original Car Audio and worked like new. I highly recommend this company because I made my homework, the minimum cost from car radio repair shops was at least $600.00 compared to the dealer at $1500.00. I called them for some technical advice and they told me if I was not sure that my unit was the culprit I could send them my unit and they will check it and advise me and they could even repair my own unit. I was pleased with the outcome with this company in regards to; price and product performance. I am grateful that there are still honorable companies doing business for the mutual benefit of consumers.
I received the stereo today! Wow! Excellent condition. Thank you for a smooth transaction and super fast shipping. I could not be happier with your service. Especially Adam. A pleasure to do business with!
Great products as it is described. They respond very quick and ship my item the same day. Definitely will do the business again.
I would not use the service for unlocking your factory/nav units. They say they will save you money by not going to the dealer. Not true. If they unlock your radio you have a 50/50 chance that is may work. Well I am not spending $75. to find out that I still need to go to the dealer and spend another 159.95 for them to unlock it and get my radio nav working. I spoke with them yesterday and he said bring it in we can get it going. I drove 35 miles and the tech told me about the 50/50 deal. Not worth my time already wasted 2 hours driving there and back that i will never see again. Have an appt with the dealer on Monday for the real deal. Not saying its a scam but close. Be careful thats all Im saying.
We use OEM Car Audio to repair/replace many different units for our business. Great service and expertise. Of course they cant fix them all, but weve saved thousands over the years.
Unit was returned with the exact same problem it had. Josh, the salesman was caught pretending he was technically more proficient than he was and immediately developed an attitude. He all but bragged about the ability to scam people out of their money. Much to my chagrin, I discovered that a brand new unit could be had on Amazon for less than I was charged not to repair the one I sent. Josh was quick to remind me that I couldnt leave a negative review on E-bay because Id sent my old unit in for repair and hadnt actually purchased through E-bay. He recommended that I complain elsewhere, and thats what Im doing. Stay away from OEM Car Audio. Its a sham.
Had a very good experience with OEM Car Audio. I ordered a replacement radio for an Acura. Went to install it and it didnt work. Turns out that I missed a piece of information when diagnosing my system. They cheerfully exchanged the radio for an amplifier. The amp they sent fix the Acura. Thank you.
I have purchased multiple items from them over the years. Cant say enough great things about their professionalism, knowledge, and customer service. I have recommended a number of friends and family who shared similar experiences. Thank you for the service you provide and I look forward to my next purchase.
I was excited to find the exact part I needed for replacement of my DVD Rom. The price was lower that other like products not meeting my needs and the delivery was three days quicker than promised. Best of all it works perfect!
Just installed the unit I received from OEM Audio. Bought my 2001 Tacoma a year ago. It only had radio and cassette player, no CD. The unit I got from OEM Audio is complete with both CD and tape. I have large amount of both. This unit is perfect and received it in just couple of days. Side note - I have sold cars for 7 years and always find issues trying to sell them with aftermarket sound systems. $1,000 aftermarket can make a trade-in worth less because used car dept spends more time trying to figure it outStick with OEM, the store and the product
Quick and courteous service. Received radio on time. Easy installation and the radio works fine.
My Honda Crv 2011 navigation went bad. Always comes error, DVD reading error, please consult dealer. I went to dealer, they asked me $800 plus installation. I scrolled on google and found Oem car audio and took a chance. They fixed my navigation just for $199 and now working like new. They are very professional and expert technicians. I would love to do business with them. I also recommend them to every one.
My mid-2000s GMC receiver/player had a broken CD player. The OEM Car Audio staff gave excellent recommendations to start the process. I mailed the unit to them and got it back within 10 days - repaired with a new CD player and two light bulbs replaced. OEM operates like a well-oiled machine!
Quick, fast, responsive. Friendly customer service, upfront pricing. They know what they are doing.
Received quickly and exactly what was ordered. When called to verify since it was a holiday weekend they were really helpful.
It was the best!!!!!!great place to get a reliable used automobile. Very helpful!! Wife loves this place
I needed a new G.P.S. unit for my 2007 Acura TL and Josh got me a reconditioned one at about a fifth of the cost of a new one. I did have a problem but even though it was after the 90 days he made an exception and fixed it free of charge. Great guy to deal with and a lot cheaper than the one in California I originally looked at.
I didnt have any problem with the radio installation, the radio works fine, the details that describe the radio was perfect to decide to bought and the photos that show are the same that you buy.
I have an audio unit which is notoriously unreliable (Volvo HU650) and bought a new / old one from OCA in early 05. I hammer the CD unit and it failed but for the price of a replacement it is a bargain. I am about to install a second Head Unit and will send the other for repairs. Their service is fast and courteous and I have no problem in recommending this company.
I purchased two (2) car CD players - both were 100% guaranteed to work. I had the first CD player installed about 2 months after purchase. It was 100% inoperable. I called OCA they said the best thing was to purchase a second CD player. I ordered the 2nd CD player and had it installed within 10 days of receiving it. It was also 100% inoperable. I called OCA and spoke with Jon. I told him the second CD player was non-working like the first. This notice was given within 10 days of receiving the second CD player. When I contacted OCA and told them their second CD player was junk I also told them that due to my fathers passing I would not be able to return the second CD player for at least 1-2 months as I was busy settling an estate from out of state. They told me there would be no problem getting my money back on the 2nD CD player B/C i NOTIFIED THEM WITHIN TEN (10) days of receiving it. OCA blamed shipping for the CD players not working. Each time it cost me $200 to install the inoperable CD players. OCA does not reimburse installation fees. So I am out $400 in installation fees for TWO inoperable CD players. OCA say they will not refund my purchase price ($237) b/c the CD player wasnt returned within 30 days of ordering it. Even though they were clearly made aware of their second junk CD player within ten days of receipt OCA blames the shipping process for the junk CD players. They are refusing to refund my money. They have offered to send a THIRD CD player. However, they have NOT changed their shipping process, according to their sales Rep. AND, OCA will NOT tell me what they will do if the THIRD CD player does not work! IF I accept a third CD player, install it and it does not work, I will then be out $600 for installation fees of junk CD players. I have had the cars original CD player shipped over 4,000 miles round trip, had it repaired and installed and it works fine. OCA WAS notified within 10 days of the 2nd player arriving at my address that it was junk and authorized a refund at that time. AS FAR AS I CAN TELL, OCA GETS JUNK EQUIPMENT FROM SALVAGE YARDS, SELLS IT as working - give a warranty they have no intention of standing behind - REFUSE TO REFUND MONEY, CONTINUALLY SEND OUT JUNK EQUIPMENT UNTIL YOU GET TIRED AND WRITE OFF YOUR INITIAL PURCHASE PRICE. IN ADDITION, JON LIED ABOUT MY WIFE BEING RUDE WITH HIM. SHE DIDNT EVEN SPEAK WITH JON!LYING ABOUT CUSTOMERS, SELLING JUNK AND RIPPING PEOPLE OFF - IT SHOULD REALLY BE THEIR MOTTO.Update: Contacted my credit card banks FRAUD DIVISION. They caught Jon and the rude owner in Texas in multiple lies, forced a 100% refund from these thieves. I am still out $400 for installation of two junk units. But that smart a** Jon and the lying owner in Texas issued me a refund because they knew their fraudulent scam had been uncovered. They wouldnt have issued a total refund if they werent a fraud.
Very happy with this seller! Super fast shipping, great communication, couldnt ask for more. Thank you!
Got the exact replacement radio I ordered and it worked in my Volvo with just plug n play.
Our company trucks stereo system for damaged by one of the employees. In searching for company that could get the problem resolved, we run into OEM Car Audio LLC. They were effective at communicating what we should expect in the replacement process and their sales person was very professional, detail oriented and patient considering that we did not have anyone on staff who deals with car stereo systems. I would use this company again without a question! Thank you for all you did and your great customer service!
Stereo arrived exactly as advertised, works perfectly.
UNIT STOPS TAKING CDS ON THE 90TH DAY OF THE WARRANTY. IT WAS FRIDAY NIGHT. THEY WERE CLOSED. I CALLED MONDAY MORNING AND TOLDTO CALL BACK MANAGER WAS NOT THERE. CALLED BACK TUESDAY, TALKED TO DAN, SAID HE WOULD CALL ME BACK. AFTER FOUR DAYS I CALLED BACK ON FRIDAY, STILL NO ANSWER, BUT THEY DID CALL BACK IN ABOUIT HOUR AND, THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD NOT COVER IT UNDER THEIR WARRANTY. BUT I COULD PAY THEM TO REPAIR IT. THAT IS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RELATIONSHIP. WE DONT WANT YOUR BUSINESS IS WHAT THEY ARE TELLING ME. USE 1 FACTORY RADIO, THEY HAVE BEEN GOOD. THEY JUST DIDT HAVE THE RADIO I NEEDED. RCP
I work at a Chevrolet Store in Montana. The dealership sold a used 2012 Suburban 2 days later the customer comes to the store to explain the DVD player stopped working. We agreed to repair the unit. The head was removed and we sent it to oemcaraudio for repair. The unit arrives back at the dealership, we install it back in the Suburban. The DVD still does not play on the on the rear seat screens. After repeated attempts for assistance from oemcaraudio the unit will not operate properly. GM tech support told us twice the repaired head is defective. The head had no output signal. 19 days after the unit arrived back at the dealership and one very upset customer we decide to purchase a GM factory rebuilt head which requires a core return of the defective head. The GM rebuilt head arrives and everything works fine. Now oencaraudio wants us to return the defective head to them so they can remove the parts they claim to have installed. The defective head was sent to GM when we ordered the rebuilt one. oemcaraudio is refusing a refund. The customer service was very poor and emails over the ebay system took days to be acknowledged. $320 for nothing. ebay offers no support since we did not return the defective unit. oemcaraudio just lost our future business.
Classic bait-and-switchThis company, OEM Car Audio, LLC, advertised a car radio/navigation unit on ebay for sale with a phone number to call if questions. When I called the number I spoke with Sheila who confirmed the item was available and the price was correct, as advertised on ebay. She then recommended I speak with Jason to confirm the item would work for my car and she arranged to have Jason call me when he arrived at the office. When Jason called he confirmed the navigation unit was correct for my car and I was encouraged to order over the telephone, instead of thru ebay. I paid extra shipping to have the navigation unit arrive in 2 days, as I explained to both Sheila and Jason I needed the item by the weekend. That day, I received sales confirmation, sales receipt, and shipping confirmation emails from OEM Car Audio, LLC. Later that evening I had a message at my house that Adam, from OEM Car Audio, LLC, had called because they had a problem with my order. The next morning I called and left a message for Adam. He never returned my call, so later that day I called again. When I spoke with Adam he told me the item I had purchased was not $445.50 as advertised (and I had a sales receipt confirming), but was really $819.00. Adam told me he would reduce the price to $800.00 because of the mistake OEM Car Audio, LLC had made or they would make an exception for me and offer a refund. He refused to honor the sale even though I had confirmation from OEM of the sale.Be very careful if you purchase from OEM Car Audio, LLC! Even with sales confirmation and sales receipts, OEM Car Audio, LLC does not have the integrity to honor a sale.
I send out my 2011 Tahoe navigation for repair, with in three days I have got the unit back, installed it and all the function back to what it was. I top of that I have 3 month warranty, for a quarter of the replacement price.Thank you oem!!!
I had an exceptionally terrible experience with Original Car Audio. I purchased a RA4 for a 14 Dodge Ram on eBay for $795 on October 25, 2015. The unit was received on Oct 30, and installed on Oct 31. Upon installation, the unit requested a anti-theft code (expected), but of course none was provided. I was followed up with by Dan, who provided the code the following Monday (which I had already purchased separately from NavRepair - who is awesome, by the way). The code did not work. I called OCA and spoke with Josh, who gave me 3 options. Option 1) return the unit for a refund, minus the 20% restocking fee because apparently it takes $150 worth of manpower to open a box and put a radio on a shelf, and make a database inventory entry. Option 2) get the dealer to fix it (huh?). Option 3), send it to NAVREPAIR on my own dime to see if they can fix it. I chose option 3. I reached out to NAVREPAIR to see what they thought would be the issue prior to shipping. They told me the units main board was likely replaced based on their experience (the main board sn and the unit sn were not the same, hence the unlock code not working). I sent this info to Dan, he said impossible. I asked Dan for a history of the unit, which he committed to providing but of course never did. Faced with a $60 repair bill from NAVREPAIR or a loss of $150 due to restocking with OCA, this was a no brainer. I sent the unit to NAVREPAIR, they provided the CORRECT unlock code, and the unit unlocked after installation. The cost of the fix ended up being $90 ($30 for shipping and $60 for repair - bringing a total investment into the unit of 2 1/2 weeks and $911 to this point).Upon install, I noticed that the screen would randomly change inputs, going to the settings screen without selecting it. The NAV unit itself would show the icon for the vehicle jumping around on the map. To ensure this observations werent a byproduct of my truck or install (Ive been installing, including custom installing, car and home audio for over 20 years), I had a friend with a 13 come over and we put the RA4 in his truck, with EXACTLY the same behavior. I pulled the RA4 that he purchased from a LKQ junkyard sight unseen for $500, installed it in my truck, and it has performed flawlessly. I figured some of the observations might be due to the fact that the firmware on the RA4 purchased from OCA was 2 generations down level. So, I copied the latest firmware to a USB drive, and tried to update it. Of course, as seems to be how this entire thing played out. the RA4 wouldnt read the USB drive. At this point, the unit is completely useless to me.Luckily, Ive documented with photo, video and email, each of these steps.I reached out to OCAs Dan, who committed 3 weeks ago to work out some sort of deal, requiring a manager to sign off on the deal, I have not heard back from him since. Ive called OCA, requesting that someone follow up with me, and of course no one has.Now I have a very expensive paperweight sitting on my dining room table in a box that I cant return for a refund, and I cannot in good conscience re-sell knowing all of the issues with it (and no history to share with a potential buyer), and I of course will never get close to my money back. I will share this feedback on my other social media platforms, and on all of the forums where I am active. I will also provide a youtube video that will detail much of this experience.Do yourself a favor, do not do business with this place. They are interested in your money, not your business.
These people are scammers, they try to sell used units and represent they are good! STAY AWAY!
I wold not recommend Oem Car Audio LLC to anyone!! I am dealer and have never dealt with anyone so rude as the owner of this company. Bad customer service and ripped me off over $20
+++AAA excellent service and fast shipping, thank you
Horrible customer service after repair failed. Did not honor warranty.
Out standing customer service, was helped out every step of the way
Scammers. They sent wrong part and when returned for a refund, charged a 20% restocking fee and did not refund shipping either. Several phone calls to them were never returned. Wished I would have read reviews on yelp and ripoff report first. AVOID.
Good service
