Great experience with Walser Honda in Burnsville relative to that at other dealerships. I would recommend them, though I do feel that they can do better with regard to pre-sale reconditioning. The car I purchased had some light scratches that I did not see prior to purchasing that would be pretty easy to remove for any experienced detailer. The interior also needed a good once over once I got the vehicle home. My car also came with no floor mats, which I found a bit odd.
My experience at Walser was terrific! Everyone was super friendly and super helpful! Leena has only been there not even a month and was super perfesional! The whole team that helped her was amazing! They truly help each other out! The Manger was also super great! Would 100% recommend! As someone who has never bought from a dealership before the experience was 10/10!

After going to two non-Honda dealerships to try to test a Honda that was within our price rangeβ¦we were met with just such rude sales people. I had called Walser Honda earlier that day and was put into touch with Bryan Santos Maya. He kept in touch with us via text message throughout the morning as we visited these other dealerships. I sent him the details of the car we wanted to buy and he immediately sent over a link to all the available cars on the lot. When we arrived at Walser, he had the cars we wanted to test drive all ready for us. We were able to snatch up one of the last newer CRVβs on the lot. My daughter was overjoyedβ¦as was I! Looking at higher mileage vehicles as we were, Walser had some of the best out there. Tony was very accommodating, answering questions quickly and even delivering the vehicle saving us the drive from White Bear Lake to Burnsville in order to collect. There was never a feeling of pushy sales tactics just letting the car sell itself. They made the process very comfortable and straight-forward.

Honestly, I dont want to give any star for my experience.It was my first experience to buy a car in the US.I shared my information(International student, didnt have US driving license yet) with Megan Cooley but she suggested me to visit the dealer and see the car. So I went there by bicycle from Wisconsin. But after one and half hour waiting, the other staff told me there were nothing that I could do at that time because I didnt have a license. And at the same day, the car that I wanted was sold.So I got an US driving license about a week later and contacted with her to check available inventories. I found the same model car that I wanted on their website, but she kept saying that the car was sold and it takes some time to update their website. I asked 3 times in total in 6 days, but she kept saying its unavailable. I also submitted the online availability checking, but I didnt get any reaction.And finally I got an opportunity to talk with another staff, and he told me the same car was available. I got an appointment for test drive ASAP.But I couldnt visit the dealer due to heavy rain. And at the same day, the car was sold.I dont understand why official dealer staff cannot understand their stock correctly. If she told me the correct information, I could have bought the car earlier, at least I had chance to buy.I talked about this with their sales manager, but he told me that Megan was not his team and she was not under his responsibility.This dealer might be a great place for almost all people to buy a car, but not for an international student who has a lower budget.

I bought a high performance used car from them that I had been looking for 12 months. I finally found my dream car. I traveled from 3 states away to buy it. Iβll give it to them, their prices were really good. However my sales agent was not good and the process took forever. Long story short I drove the car home and found out the engine was blown and needed to be replaced. I called the Vice President Greg Davis and he told me tough luck and that it was my fault for not finding that out prior to buying. They couldnβt admit that they sold me a defective car. Really really bad morals and values, I canβt believe they can sleep at night knowing they screwed me over. Itβs a real shame they couldnβt make it right. They must have had bad parents that didnβt teach them good character or values.

October 2021-I found myself in the unfortunate situation of having to replace the 2021 Honda Passport I had for only two months after a storm went through our area and a tree landed on it (insurance totalled the car). I wasnt sure what I was going to do. I decided to go back to Walser Honda and ask to speak with Megan Cooley. I had a great experience a few months earlier and hoped she would be able to help me out again. Megan assured me that she would help me find the right car for me. I walked in with a list of 6 SUVs I was interested in and she helped me narrow down the list by pointing out features she knew I liked because she took the time to listen and ask questions. I went here today to test drive a couple of Honda Fits and it was one of the most miserable and stressful experiences. We went to four other dealerships over the past week and Walser Honda in Burnsville/Lakeville was by far the worst. We test drove two cars and we really liked one of them (it was one of the best cars we had seen yet) and almost purchased it but the salesperson, Andrew, was so pushy, close minded, and hard to work with that we decided to back out and leave.Everything was going great until we made two simple requests: 1. We wanted to take the car for 24 hours and have our mechanic inspect it. 2. We didnβt want to finance the car through the dealership.All of a sudden the salesperson became super pushy and told us that they couldnβt hold the car for us or allow an inspection period of more than 12 hours. He basically told us that the only way we could do things βour wayβ was to buy the car right then and there and then return it if we found something was wrong. I told him that we didnβt want to buy a car unless we went through our process and he said we were βmaking things too complicatedβ.We left the dealership and went straight to Luther Honda and had the exact opposite experience. They were super nice throughout the whole process, gave us the option to borrow and inspect the car for more than 24 hours, and not jerks when we brought up financing the car our own way. Please do yourself a favor and go anywhere else but Walser Honda.

Ive always enjoyed having my car serviced here, but when it came to the new car buying process, this place was a bust. The salesmen were not knowledgeable about the vehicles on the lot, and they did not make a very competitive offer for my trade-in car, in fact it was insulting. Luther down the road gave me a newer model of the same car I was looking at at Walser, with lower miles and better features, for less money. And Luther offered over double what Walser would give me for my trade-in, and the salesmen were very knowledgeable. The experiences were like night and day differences.
Your sales team made it so easy! We stopped in regarding a trade-in offer, we were immediately greeted and assigned a sales associate. Time was of essence for us and we were offered the ability to complete a tentative purchase agreement, define what we were looking for and weβre out the door in less than an hour! The next day, he sales associate kept us updated on financing options. That evening, the sales associate brought the vehicle of choice to our home, we went for a test drive, signed papers, and the deal was sealed. Outstanding experience and customer service!!
This is our third new Honda and second from Walser. Excellent cars and weve been satisfied with Walsers servicing of all three of them. I really like the enhanced safety features that are standard in all the newer Hondas, which is why I decided to upgrade our 2016 to a 2021. I usually keep cars for a much longer period of time, but after buying a 2019 those safety features became a compelling reason to upgrade.
Prior to coming to this dealership I had gone to 3 other dealerships and had a really bad experience. Thankfully as soon as we arrived to this dealership we were automatically greeted and helped by Brandon. He made my first car buying experience an excellent one as he was extremely kind and was extremely knowledgeable, answering every one of our questions thoroughly and quickly! The folks here are very professional and care about customer service and satisfaction. I have been a loyal Walser customer because of this. The last time we worked with Cole OBrien and he was great. We had some issues with a car we recently purchased and we couldnt drive off with it after we bought it. They had the car promptly repaired the next day and they dropped it off to our home! The only thing is that the location seemed very busy and apparently car inventory moved so quick that it didnt seem easy for the staff to tell whether a particular car listed on their website was available or not.

I really didnt have a good experience buying a car here. Im sure I just got a bad sales rep and theres probably better ones that work here, but the one I ended up with was unprofessional, short with me, split his time with too many other customers, and way too pushy and deceptive about selling additional coverage for the car after the sale. It ended up taking 5+ hours to buy a car, mostly of just waiting around as my salesman was busy selling to other customers. He also wasnt very knowledgeable, swore a lot, and kept talking about how he had a long night last night playing poker. He didnt spend any time showing me anything about the car I just bought and tried to sell me coverage he and I both knew I didnt need. Whats crazy to me is that guy was put in charge of training a new hire. At least they offer free water and coffee here (but note that Apple Valley Ford offers the same plus free soda and popcorn--you have to pay for soda and snacks here). The main positive is that they didnt finagle on the sale price of the car.Edit: spoke to the manager about this review and he was very kind and apologetic. I really appreciated his response to the matter. Bumping it up to 3 stars.

Just had my 4 year old Honda in for service. At first i was really happy with how things went. Then while trying to leave for the airport my car is dead! Luckily I have a jump pack, no big deal. I pop the hood and go to remove the protective cover on the positive terminal on the battery. #1 the connection is corroded and #2 the entire terminal came off the battery in my hand! I just had this into Walser Honda for an oil change and comprehensive inspection. Needless to say they missed inspecting a key component on every car made. Not pleased.
My family leased for the first time three years ago with Chevy and had a terrible experience. When that lease was up we wanted to try leasing a hybrid with a different company. The actual employees of Walser Honda are good, but their marketing team set up customers to distrust them even more. If you try to set up an appointment onlineβ¦inquire for more infoβ¦or use Costco Auto for referral, you are going to be contacted by an Addison Parker via text message. Seems like a trustworthy personβ¦.you can ask questions about a car. Get a price. It seems like an organic conversation. Addison invites you take a test drive with them. I even followed up that day and Addison said βcome on in, and ask for me!!β Walk into the dealership and the front desk says βAddison is actually our AI bot/rep. They donβt exist.ββ¦then you get passed off to a salesperson who did nothing wrong, but now who you have been catfished with. Could the bot have just said, Iβll set you up with one of peers? Either way its a huge step backwards with distrust. Out of principle I did not buy my car from Walserβ¦and yes I bought a Honda.

I bought a new car last month and was originally very happy. However my first payment on paperwork shows due today but Ive got no information, nor do I have any final fiance information to allow me to pay. I also have temp plates that expire tomorrow and the DMV has not received the application for this VIN a month later. The dealership did reach out and got me another temp plate and is paying my first payment. So overall happy but wont be fully satisfied until its resolved.

Kendra was able to steer us in the right direction after vehicles we picked out online to test drive didnt quite meet our needs (she somehow knew which vehicles would be a great fit for our family!). Kendra was upfront, attentive, and friendly throughout the entire process.

Wow! How the car buying experience has changed... Bought a new Honda right off the show floor from Andrew Quinn and the Walser Team yesterday. Stopped in Sat; drove home my new Ridgeline Midnight Edition Mon night. The customer experience was fantabulous! From the initial receptionist intro on Sat, to Sales Mgr Bryson, to AQ, to Neng Lee (who valued my 2014 MDX trade-in), and to all the folks behind the scenes (finance, service, etc.), you all did a great job! Only one mishap... couldnt read where 5% of the pre-tax earnings went; too many hard working associates jackets in the way... Andrew D was amazing! I called for the Costco Discount and Walser offered even a better price along with incredible customer service. The buying process was transparent and fast. No back and forth - no lying! I was very impressed.
I worked with Travis Strand who assisted me with the purchase of my Moms next vehicle. He was wonderful to work with. He stayed in communication with me throughout the couple of days it took to finalize the sale. Travis took the extra time to provide my Mom with a tutorial of the vehicle, in addition supported her as needed to set the CR-V to her comfort before leaving the dealership. We both enjoyed our experience in working the Walser Honda team!

Overall the experience was good, however, I feel like we were misled with the trade-in value. We were told that the range for the vehicle trade-in was capped around $3500. Once I looked up the package, the AVERAGE trade-in for the trim package was actually ~$4500. That being said the car was not starting at the time, which factored in, but know that the cap offered differs so much from the average makes it feel as though we were taken advantage of.

I never felt rushed or pushed into anything. Walser was super organized and I really appreciated the follow up during the time spent between when I test drove my car, to when I purchased it. I initially went online through Costcos Auto Program, and I will say that Walser Honda in Burnsville knocked it out of the park compared to a competitor in the area. The two associates who helped me through this process were Cole OBrien and Zach. Really great communication between the two of them. Cole helped me set up my phone and Apple CarPlay before I left, which with all the new features, I really appreciated the extra mile he went in showing me that. I felt very confident in the whole process thanks to Cole, Zach, and Burnsville Walser Honda.
I went in to see some options on possibly trading in my vehicle and I left with a car that I absolutely love. Megan made everything super easy and it was a pleasure to work with her!

Megan Cooley was wonderful start to finish. We came in with a very narrow search to start and as the weekend went on it grew to more vehicles. She was very helpful every step of the way. When we told her that we were on our way to look at a couple cars she had them pulled up and ready to go once we got there. When Iβm ready to trade up I will be contacting her for sure.

Josh went out of his way to deliver CRV to my son at our home with Walser Hondaβs free home delivery feature that involved over 100 mile drive one way to our home. This is the second car we have bought from Walser Honda and our experiences both times have been GREAT! To the point that we will be checking with them first before we go anyplace else for our next vehicle. We had a little hiccup with the second vehicle and Megan Cooley and Jeff the sales manager went OVER THE TOP to make sure that we were completely satisfied. Weβve never been car dealership people but this place has changed our minds. 100% recommend!
Mitch was absolutely fantastic in helping me with my new used car. He was fast, efficient and pleasant. Im not a fan of taking forever at the dealership and this was the best car buying experience Ive had.
Update from my first review:Day after: After taking the vehicle home I was able to do a more thorough inspection, the coolant level was below LOW and the air intake was not attached to the vehicle, bolts were missing. The said that the vehicle was inspected before I bought it. I did go to them about this and they did fix the air intake and inspected the coolant system at no charge.Three months after: I got the title in the mail, it shows a lien holder, I paid for the car in cash. I looked over the paperwork, somehow everyone who reviewed the paperwork missed the face that my bank who issued the cashiers check was listed as a lien holder. I spent a few hours playing phone tag with the bank and dealership, I was finally able to get the lien release and mailed it to DVS. When dealing with this there was no acknowledgement of their mess up from them.Overall this is a nice dealership, I would by another car from them but I would double check everything myself and make sure that all of the paperwork is correct and I would spend more time at the dealership inspecting the vehicle myself.

Highly recommend Walser Honda! I couldnβt be happier with my new 2020 Honda CR-V EX! Their inventory is great! So many options to choose from, new and used. I would highly recommend customer specialist, Matt Newman. He was very personable, courteous, knowledgeable, and never once did I feel pressured before or during the buying process. The other staff that I had interacted with were also very friendly. The facility was very welcoming and very clean. COVID-19 guidelines were being followed very well, and I felt very safe there.
