I bought a nice used Prius from Rob at a fair price. Two days later it died on the side of the road. And it died in a big dramatic Prius way: red death triangle burnt fuse stink...terrible. After the tow service Rob was the first person I contacted and although it was 9pm on a Saturday night he responded. Unreal he said and it was. He was as much put out by it as I was. Rob was there for me every step of the way. I found out later that the inverter coolant pump failed which is known to happen in second gen Prius (Toyota even replaced these under a recall). Rob sent me the part I needed, and, if you can believe it, reimbursed me for the full cost of the tow. I installed the part myself. I can not recommend Rob highly enough. He is someone you can trust and when it comes to buying a used car trust is at a premium. If you think Robs price is fair do not hesitate to buy. Rob has your back all the way.

One of the most nerve-wracking things in life is trying to buy a used car and hope you don’t get taken advantage of in the process. Honestly, I was skeptical at first when the website said “by appointment only” and had my guard up.. especially when I found that the car I was looking at had a warranty included. It seemed way too good to be true, and as a single mom, I feel like sometimes people can see me coming from a mile away. So I asked my brother to come along and test drive the car and it drove like a dream. The entire process was very smooth and everything that Rob said he would do, he did. About 2 weeks after I bought my car, I had some dashboard lights come on and completely freaked out thinking that I bought a lemon and now I was stuck with it. Rob had followed up asking how everything was going and I told him what was happening. He called me immediately and helped me resolve the issue. I thought we were getting a good used Prius, the nice salesman said that it was inspected and approved by the dealership; however less than 2 months later weve had to spend more than $2000 in repairs for the temperature sensor and replacement gasket etc. after driving less than 200 miles. However after being told everything on the car was checked out and working great, no more then 2 months later my transmission went out. And to top that a month after getting a new transmission my shift lever started going out. I was obviously lied too and felt very taken advantage of by Octane Automotive.
