Eric gave me his email and he made sure that he emailed me back right away to confirm the time that we had set. When I arrived there is facility he was extremely courteous extremely professional super friendly and outgoing. Erek went above and beyond to help me and I will recommend him to everyone that I know. The factory stereo and bluetooth connection on my 2012 Ford Fusion was not working/driving me nuts and the dealership wanted a ton of money to replace it. I saw some good reviews of Twin Cities Auto Spot and gave them a call.Eric was extremely helpful and responsive right from the start and directed me to their website where I could enter my information and he could quote a nice range of options for replacing my stereo for a lot less $$ than the dealer.I went with an Alpine iLX-W650, booked an appointment and had the stereo installed this week. My first impression was that it looked fantastic! The aftermarket trim was black and sleek and looked great in the car. A myriad of buttons was replaced by a sharp screen.The stereo functioned fantastic right out of the box and sounded better than it ever did with the original head. The Android Auto interface hooked right up to my Galaxy S9 with no problems.Eric gave me a headsup that if I had any problems with Android Auto, that it was probably the USB cord. The cheap aftermarket cords (which is what I was using) often cause problems. I noticed right away that a few minutes into a call, the audio from the other party would drop.I went and bought a Samsung USB A to C cord from Target for $9.99 and the problem stopped immediately.Thank you so much to Eric and Twin Cities Auto Spot for providing fantastic service at ALL phases of my stereo replacement!I wholeheartedly recommend this business. They had great communication when I had questions about a remote start installation. They were able to get me in for an appointment pretty quickly and got the install done in the span of a morning (longer because I have a manual transmission). Once the install was done, they did a great job of walking me through the operation of the remote start and what quirks to look out for. So far the remote start is working like a charm!

The guy running the place seems pretty incompetent. I had to go in 4 times just to get a stereo and back up camera installed. I scheduled the install for a Friday and he said he had me in for Thursday which is impossible for me because I travel for work. Ok, fine, just a miss click, just get it installed. After install, my automatic lights didnt work anymore and he still had to hook up the back up camera. I brought it back on a Saturday, because I travel all week. Once again, this guy had me in for the day before. He had enough time to fix the automatic lights but nothing else so we scheduled another for Saturday. This time, he was closed. Doors locked, everything was off. He didnt even bother to call to let me know. My guess is he forgot to put anyone on the schedule.

Research all your options before considering this place. You can find better. Another reviewer said it best, hacks at best. Their treatment of your personal belongings you have in your car is disrespectful. Completely regret giving them my business.

Every response was prompt and clear, I never felt rushed. The price quote was very detailed and I didnt feel as though I was being uncharged in any way. I recently bought a Hyundai Venue. I LOVE the car, but hated the sound system. After looking around for a reliable, local installation option, I found AutoSpot. Project wasted two days and took over a month to get together. Utlimately I was still left without a remote start.I was super optimistic of Erics ability to be able to give me remote start without using a factory key. That didnt happen.The first install ended in 3 hours with him calling saying they were missing a crucial part he didnt know they would need. He didnt have a firm timeline of when he would get it. A month later I booked my appointment excited to finally get my remote start. I showed up after 4 hours and was told it would be another 30 minutes. He calls me and says the system wont work with the remote start I want, but it will with the other! Great! 45 minutes later calls and says it wont work with that system either. I ultimately decided not to continue to have him take shots in the dark on products he said would work I wasted 7 hours of my say and cant recommend this place as Eric doesnt seem to have the knowledge of the products he sells

Update: I Purchased a new vehicle and called Eric up and asked him to put a sound system together. I am still and continue to be extremely pleased with the level of quality his shop puts into their work. Other than the sub box you wouldnt even have even known there was a system in the truck. All the wires are hidden, even the ones under the hood, the amp is tucked away nicely with all the wires again, hidden. As always I will continue to bring my vehicles here.T.C. Auto spot is the place to go if you are looking for a remote start system. I dealt directly with Eric through the entire process, my vehicle has a manual transmission which took longer than usual. Eric took care of my vehicle needs and got the job done right the first time. Throughout the entire process I received either a phone call or email letting me know how things were going. After the vehicle was complete he took the time to walk through the system and how everything functions and what to expect. Eric is the man! I would never go anywhere else for my mobile audio/accessory needs. He installed a remote starter in my Mustang many years ago when his shop was at a different location (its my 2nd since Ive owned the car). Its worked very well over the years (yes the car is old ..its a 97!) but recently something related to it affected the performance of car - but it was actually no fault of Erics - the original installer of the first starter wired it wrong. Eric made the starter function again and didnt even charge me. I wanted to pay him for his time but he politely refused. This again, was no fault of his or his company but he happily fixed it anyway. Eric is fantastic. I mean, sure, he installed the remote starter in my Hyundai, but hes overall a great person to deal with. He gave me good advice on which remote start system I should pick, and even suggested I go the cheaper route simply because that would work better for me. His prices are great too, I thought I would end up paying a lot more (especially after going to that large electronics company with the initials BestB where they told me they could do the same thing, but you have to schedule it now for 2 months later, and it will be $xxx - the $xxx being $150 more than what Eric quoted me!But overall, he seems like a great person and very knowledgeable about what hes doing. Recently brought in my Grand Cherokee to get LED lights installed. I had previously taken my vehicle to an auto repair center as it took some special installation (so they told me) to change the bulbs. Eric got them installed within 15 minutes of my appointment. He Informed me about android auto and how my navigation will show up on a 300 dollar reciever and how I dont need to spend that much money. Says a lot that hell look out for your best interests. The shop is small and youd probably want to drop your vehicle off for a time consuming, complex installation BUT the service is excellent and Erics prices wont be beat. I had my headlights upgraded to LEDs and was in and out in less than 15 minutes of my appointment time. Ill use this little gem of a shop again the next time I need an accessory.

The short: I had my 2018 VW Alltracks factory sound system upgraded by T.C. Auto Spot. Everything about the process was highly professional, fairly priced, and got me exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend going here for car audio improvements.The longer: I had first considered a do-it-yourself project to upgrade speakers, add an amp, a DSP, and a subwoofer, and was thinking about buying everything through Crutchfield. While I dont have much car audio experience, I can usually figure stuff out and thought a DIY could be very satisfying. After more reflection, I decided it would be a huge headache and not worth the few hundred dollars I would save by doing my own labor (plus whatever I would break along the way!). I had first stopped by another Minneapolis area car audio store with good reviews on google. The sales person/tech who talked with me steered me toward extremely expensive components even though I first explained to him what I was and was not looking for. I left there with a very bad taste in my mouth. I then contacted T.C. Auto Spot by email. The owner, Eric, quickly got back to me, putting together 3 different levels of car audio system at different price/quality levels (all of which were substantially less than the other place). During the entire process of choosing components, I worked directly with Eric, and he consistently responded extremely quickly via email to my many questions, even on the days they were closed (Sunday/Monday). As car audio installation is complex, we ran into a couple small issues, which Eric again responded to very quickly, getting me into the shop immediately and fixing the issues at no cost. Their labor is guaranteed for life I believe. I met with Eric several times in person and he was very polite, friendly, and both listened to what I was hoping to get and clearly explained everything he was thinking about. They take pride in the work they do with customer satisfaction as top priority.I had been shopping around for remote starters over the last few unbearably cold weeks. I research and check on reviews intensely before I let anyone lay their hands on my Jeep... 4.9 out of 5 🌟 on Google should in fact be more like 8.5 🌟 out of 5. I call shenanigans on any negative review you may see.My vehicles computer did not want to play nicely with the Compustar system I decided to go with. It took extra time, diagnosis and troubleshooting in order to get the system working 100% correctly. I was not upcharged for the extra time and manpower needed. They took the time to explain what the issue was with the indicator lights not coming on correctly, how they did the install with 2 septate systems with the same result and how they corrected the issue. Anywhere else would have upcharged insanely for that extra time and effort, or just called it a day after installing the system with no indicator lights when the vehicle is running remotely!Their knowledge is second to none on what they do! My motto is Dont do a wide variety of things with a standard of mediocrity. Set a standard of excellence on a more focused area of expertise. TC Auto Spot is hands down living that motto day to day!I will be recommending TC Auto Spot to everyone I know that does not have a remote starter in their vehicles!
