Terrible experience purchasing our first car. If I could do it again, I would go literally anywhere else. We put up with a lot of it because of how scarce cars are right now, but I really regret it.Be warned - they add $300 of door edge guards to every vehicle without asking you. I noticed the $300 in the bill and questioned it, only then did they tell me they already installed it on the vehicle I was picking up. I then asked why the edge guards were more than $100 more expensive than the Toyota brand edge guards - the sales rep didn’t know and became very hostile when I insisted on an answer. Only one person in the dealership knew why - they are “better” and have a warranty. I was never given any paperwork of this warranty or proof that they’re any different. They also “forgot” about our $500 deposit and only refunded it when we pointed it out. They also forgot to put my name on the title (only put my -male- partner’s name on the title despite the loan being under both our names) until we again, pointed it out. Any financing conversation was exclusively directed towards my partner. We originally went there specifically to test drive a vehicle they said they had on site - they (2x) did not have the vehicle available to test drive when we showed up for our appointment, and really had us show up under false pretenses to make a sale.We were aggressively rushed into accepting their (definitely low-balled) trade-in offer, taking advantage of people new to the process.Sales rep was rude, condescending, repeatedly called me “honey”, hostile when questioned, and honestly generally incompetent (wasn’t able to answer many of our questions).Confirmed every stereotype about sleazy, sexist car dealerships. I could go on, but basically go somewhere else.

Very disappointed with my visit here. I spoke on the phone with a team member about reserving a specific vehicle listed on their website. While on the phone, I specifically asked if I would be able to put a deposit on the vehicle over the phone and was told, we require you be in person to put a deposit on a vehicle.Knowing this, I scheduled an appointment with a salesman and I jumped in my vehicle and drove over to the dealership and arrived just 30 minutes after the phone call. After sitting down with the salesman, I am told shoot, I just had someone call and put a deposit on that specific car, OVER THE PHONE. I let the salesman know I asked to do this exact thing and was not able, he was not able to provide much help or know why I was told I could not do this.Because of this, I had to put a deposit on a more expensive vehicle, and will be without a car for the next month. Very unimpressed with how the dealership handled this.

First time by myself in the car buying experience, just lost my previous Ford to a total loss crash. Wasn’t even really considering a Toyota but saw it was reliable with a solid transmission (not Ford).Worked with Jason R. who managed to convince me to look at a 5k miles used Camry (I wanted new and never thought I would get a used car). Ended up falling in love with the used car. I will say their brand new options are extremely limited but the staff was very open and honest about the used car selections. The dealership was fantastic, made my car buying experience painless and stress free. Wonderful place to buy a car. My 2021 Camry drives like a hot knife through butter, never considering a Ford ever again.

I bought in my car for an oil change. The service rep and staff were super friendly and awesome. The oil change was very speedy; it took about 30 minutes. There were two things from my experience that prevents me from giving Toyota Burnsville five stars. The first thing was that the mechanic made my interior very dirty. It looks like the mechanic touched the interior with their soiled hands. The second thing was that they overly marked up replacement costs. They quoted me $92 to replace my cabin air filter. The OEM cabin filter costs only $40, so $52 for labor?! I bought the cabin air filter myself and spent 5 minutes replacing it. I wouldve been fine with them replacing it at a fair market price. I hope Toyota Burnsville can improve their business procedures to satisfy future customers.Update 6/3/21Toyota Burnsville gave me a complimentary car cleaning/detailing. My car is super clean now!

Was looking to lease a new car and had an absolutely terrible experience at this dealership. I inquired about a specific car and was told it was in stock. When I arrived they told me that it wasn’t in stock and another one wouldn’t be in stock for another 5-6 weeks. I asked if I could receive the promotional pricing listed online on Toyota’s website and he spent 15 minutes tell me about how they do not participate in national advertising deals. So I asked about cars that were in my price range and they asked for $2,000 more than the Toyota website said I would need to put down plus an extra $60 a month? I hope this is not how leasing a new car is and this was just exceptionally bad customer service. I will likely just buy a Hyundai, they have more features and are less expensive.

The staff of their service department is friendly and knowledgeable. That being said, the amount of time they take to actually service your vehicle is absolutely insane. In the past, I’ve been disappointed by how long it takes them to do a simple oil change but today was a whole new level ridiculousness. I brought my vehicle in for its 40,000 mile service check. This included an oil change and tire rotation. 1 hour and 15 minutes later I was informed that my front and rear brake pads were worn and needed to be replaced. I was also told that they would resurface all rotors. The service rep told me all of this would take another hour or so. As I type this, It is 6:09pm and my vehicle isn’t done. My original appointment was for 2:30pm!!! The oil change, tire rotation, brake pad replacement, and rotor resurfacing shouldn’t have taken any longer then 2 - 2.5hrs and that’s being generous. I will not be giving this service department any future business. If you want incredible slow and slightly overpriced vehicle service, go to Burnsville Toyota!!!

I brought my car in for an oil change and told the guy to check the sound the belt or the alternator was making under the hood and when he was finished with the oil change I was told there was not wrong with the car. 2 days later i was driving and the belt snapped and it made many issues so i decided to tow it there and they charged me $1,500 for the issues and the labor was around all of the money if though it was really their fault and they did not even try to lower the price to a good price so i had to pay for it because I needed the car. 2 days later I had to get my brakes change and didnt want to change with toyota because they lost my trust and so I ended up taking it to another auto shop and they said I had got scammed and told me he could do it for more than half the price bacause toyota was charging things that did not even had to be fixed. But Anyways Toyota is really taking money from people and not providing good costumer service.

I been here on two occasions and both times I was not impressed. Avoid this dealer and their sales staff. First time we test drove a used prius, when braking it sounded like a fire truck siren in the distance was coming. Told the sales person about this and they said oh that’s normal. Second time was to test drive a certified pre owned Sienna. I brought my infant twins with. I was looking for any sales person and one asked if I had a boy and girl, to which I replied no, both girls. Sales guy says that’s too bad and walks away. I should have left then. I go up to the sales bullpen and ask the biggest guy in a suit to help me test drive, but he says he can’t, and calls me a sales person. We finally get out to the van and find it’s got loose trim pieces, and the driver side power sliding door would not open. The sales guy tells me it’s a safety feature not to power open the driver side door because of traffic, but the passenger side door did work. Overall lots of other obvious issues with the van that made it clear they never even inspected it and want to push and sell a pre owned at a certified price.

I really liked the used car sales man when I bought my car- he was nice and seemed really helpful. I needed a car quickly as ours was basically barely drivable. The Honda Civic that I was looking at seemed low to the ground, but I asked him multiple times if it would be ok in the winter, and he assured me that it would be fine. I also trusted him that he was giving me a fair price because the car was so new to the lot that they hadn’t even priced it yet. I tried doing research on my phone while there on what it should be priced- but they closed soon and I didn’t have much time. When I brought up doing the paperwork the next day, he said that this car might not even be there tomorrow because it’s so sought after. I knew this was true because of the model of Civic it was, but he still should not have pushed that. It was way too much for me, and he would have known this if he actually verified my employment at ANY point during the loan approval. Not only did he just take my word for what I made per month as an independent contractor (which was an honest amount), he looked at that amount and pushed a car with a payment that I could not realistically afford. At that point though, I could not get a loan many places, so when I got approved for it I jumped at it since I use my car for work and it was either get a car at this dealership, or I would probably not make rent for the month. I feel that he took advantage of the moment when you test drive a car, and fall in love with it. At this point- I have a car that is still very nice, but is still overly priced, our only family car (which he knew when I purchased it), and probably now has issues underneath because of how low it is to the ground and having been driven for the winter. It’s frustrating. I have a large loan that I make payments on every month without fail for a car that should never have been offered to me for the income that I make. I did smartly purchase the used car warranty, but of course it doesn’t cover much. I feel like I was scammed by a dealership that should know better. I don’t know much about cars and I think that the sales person took advantage of that. And not ever looking at ANY employment records or pay stubs that I had for the loan? It just seems like that can’t be right. If he would have looked, he would have realized that this specific car would not have been right for a family that uses it as its only means for transportation and has no option to not drive it in the winter time. REPLY: My name is not Camron, this just randomly got generated to me for some reason. And you sold a Honda Civic SX 2014 model in September of 2020 to me. Please look at your records because I will be calling on Monday. It’s there and when I come in I will bring my purchase paperwork. I don’t want to post my name publicly.

When it came time to bring mine in, Burnsville Toyotas service department gave me lots of misinformation and I had to fight with Toyota Corporate to get them to take my unsafe truck off the road like they had done with thousands before. This experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Fast forward to March of 2021, we decided to give Burnsville Toyota another chance. In fact, I told the sales person that detail. We looked at a Corolla. In the end, we got a sleezy salesman who refused to even give us numbers. Nobody bothered to call me back when I complained. ***long*** I was looking to buy a used Toyota camry and found a private party selling one in Burnsville for a decent price. The owner bought the vehicle new and provided me with the carfax which showed he had maintained the vehicle reasonably well. I was buying the car as a commuter and the owner wanted $5500. I asked the owner if he would mind having the vehicle inspected by a mechanic and he said that was fine. We met at Burnsville Toyota and they preformed their pre-owned vehicle inspection at a cost of approximately $186. I was told that they inspect the vehicle, check steering component for safety, drive the vehicle to make sure it’s working properly, etc. It was 161 point inspection. After the inspection the advisor provided a form and told me the things they found. The only significant items they found were worn tires and a seeping power steering return line (from pump back to fluid tank) everything else was things like dirty cabin air filter, etc. The owner came down on the price a bit and I bought the vehicle believing these were the only issues. I don’t live near Burnsville so I brought the vehicle to my local mechanic to replace the line. I brought the vehicle to the mechanic a soon as I could get in. When the vehicle went to the mechanic I had put approximately 80 miles on it since purchasing. The mechanic fixed the line, but informed me he had observed a couple significant problems. He stated the power steering rack was leaking from both sides and the passengers side cv axel boot was torn in several spots and was throwing grease everywhere. He then showed me the issues. I asked if the problems could have happened in the last 80 miles. He said that based on how they looked “no”. He the gave me a quote for approximately $2000 to fix the issues. I was obviously very disappointed as I thought I had done everything right by buying a one owner vehicle with service records and having it inspected by the dealer. Now I was looking at a bill of near half of the vehicles value. I contacted Burnsville Toyota and after sending in some pictures I was contacted service manager Dave Grosulak. Dave was very friendly and I told him how disappointed I was with the situation. I told him I had been relying on them to keep me from making a bad purchase. Dave was very apologetic and said he would do his best to make things right. He said they would cover the labor for the repairs (this was most of the price for the rack). Dave came back with a repair estimate of approximately $900. I agreed to have them fix the vehicle and also had them do the transmission fluid and coolant flush which Dave discounted as well. Furthermore, Dave reassured me that they would re-inspect the vehicle correctly to make sure they had not missed anything else. Overall, I was very happy with Dave and his willingness to help when he knew they had made a mistake. I still wouldn’t have purchased the vehicle if I would’ve known it needed the work it did and am out $900 more than I wanted to spend.

The car is everything I needed plus accessories I never thought I would get with the price I paid for the car! All around I was extremely happy and thankful to work with such an awesome company and team. I am most thankful to have met and worked with Ken Harris! The way Id describe my experience working with him is encouraging, honest, and wanting the best for you!

Cars looked amazing. Service not so much. I know times are tough but man, that was brutal. Lowballing me on my trade in (I owe what its worth) then trying to put the balance on the top of the loan, and the interest rate between the two in the end, was about double what the car was going for. Insulting enough to not go back. Like they say in 1L, Caveat emptor pal.

I was helped by Allex as well as the gentleman who did the work on my vehicle (I didn’t catch your name- but you’re wonderful!) and I felt so happy after leaving. Quality repairs and honest service make for happy customers! You guys are absolutely crushing it.I am extremely attached to my vehicle as it is essentially my first and only car (which I purchased new). It is a 2010 Honda Element, and I don’t plan on saying goodbye to her for quite some time now with Burnsville Toyota in my life 🙌 THANK YOU!!!

I bought my truck through the internet department and they gave me a estimate right away. The internet discount was a real factor in my decision to buy at Burnsville Toyota. The staff were friendly, helpful and pretty responsive. I told them what I wanted and they found it with the right options and color. Communications were a wee bit fragmented which was the difference between a 4 and a 5. But it was certainly not enough to make me go elsewhere.

Enjoyable car buying experience handled by professionals. My wife needed a new car, we browsed barely used cars over a few weeks until she was sure she found what she wanted. They were patient and we never felt pressured.I recently decided to try their service department with my vehicle and was not surprised at the top notch treatment I received. We have found our new home for vehicle purchases and service.

Terrible experience, was shopping around and wanted to test drive some vehicles. Sales rep kept saying, “I don’t want to be offensive, but...” and proceeded to say something demeaning.Rep literally told us that if you come for a test drive during the end of the month, be prepared to receive the worst customer service. Would not recommend purchasing a vehicle there.

On our 5th car from Burnsville Toyota! This is a family owned and run single dealership outfit, with happy, knowledgeable, honest, and low pressure sales representatives. Ive shopped a great deal prior to every purchase and have ended up with Burnsville Toyota every time. Most times, the sales representatives from the other dealers dont get back to me until Ive already purchased... On the occasions I make it to getting my trade valued at another dealer, their trade bid comes in far lower than Burnsville Toyota every time. My father and friends have purchased cars here, on my recommendation, and had a similar experience.Im glad this dealer is around, there are less and less options in the Twin Cities and I like knowing my salesperson is going to be around for a while. The sales staff at the one price dealers seem to be one foot out of high school or former cashiers with little to no knowledge of automotive technology or finance.Thank you BV Toyota!

Joel, the salesman we are working with, has been wonderful. We were able to take the vehicle without him accompanying us, so we were able to discuss pro/con of the cars we were testing without having anyone interject work their opinion. The lot is nice and the salesmen do greet you outside. We didnt have the go searching for someone that talk to - which we was a theme at other dealerships. Very pleasant experience

Sales rep Joel did a good job explaining and selling used van! I don’t recommend buying a used vehicle until they have done all the work they need to on it as they don’t hold up to wath they promise. If you buy from this dealership make sure you don’t work with the Sales Manager Kevin!!! His customer service skills are the WORST I have ever experienced!!! He was arranging to get my vehicle cleaned. The first time he gave so little time that it was a poor job so I needed to go back a second time. Then he said it would be a one hour appointment so I dropped it off at 9:30. He contacted me by text at one to say that my vehicle would be ready at 5!!!! 7.5 hours later and he never even bothered to give me a call to explain what the trouble was!!!! I tried calling the dealership 3 times to speak to Kevin, he hung up on me each time!!!! Then when I showed up at the dealership to find out what was the problem, he tried to be so sweet innocent and claimed that a buffer went out and they needed to buy a new one from Home Depot. I could have walked to the nearest one and back in way less time. Then when I got home I looked in the trunk and there were crumbs that I easily vacuumed out myself!!!!

One star for good prices on some of the used cars. I was not looking for a new one... so dont know if the prices for new ones are good. What I do want to tell you is that they will try and screw you over with your trade in and finance starting with low balling you at the sales table and finishing with adding useless warranties in the contract on top of Toyotas certified warranty even though you declined it.Anyways, just read what you sign, know your trade in value before you come in and that your tradein value offsets the tax amount you pay for your new car. They have good cars, but bad staff... well at least in my latest experience. No need to follow up on this one with sorry excuses. You know you got some rotten apples there, just clean it up. It used to be a decent place to buy a certified pre owned Toyota... And for fox sake, please stop these cheasy sales games and give the customer fair price and value upfront! All and all, we did get a good car, and straightened out finance bs, but their dirty sales tricks took me 3 showers before I could feel clean again :)If you dont know what you are doing, you might be taken advantage of.

You have many other options for Toyota in this area. Go elsewhere.I live several hours away, so I made an appointment to test drive a car that they claimed to still have in their inventory. I arranged for a baby sitter and rented a car, as I intended to purchase the car. Luckily, at least, I called ahead before making the trek to verify that they actually had the car before my appointment, and they informed me that they in fact did not have the car.Theyre disrespectful of your time and money as a customer. How do you think theyre going to treat you and your car after they already have your money?

Burnsville toyota provides me with a rather disappointing experience throughout. As my first time buying a car from a dealer I found this dealership very lacking. When I went to pick up the car after purchase it was filthy, visible spilled food and drink from previous owner despite having been detailed twice by them. Also, they couldn’t find the keys when I showed up. Then when I came in to pick up my key and have it programmed the service guy indirectly called me a liar when I told him the parts guy told me I wouldn’t need an appointment to get the key programmed. Additionally, they did not call me to let me know my plates were in which just compounded the overall experience. Lastly, and this is just kind of funny, the salesman said the vehicle would be ready with a full tank of gas when I picked it up. The tank was half full, just like their overall service.

I was in on Saturday to purchase a new used vehicle, there were three I was interested in. I walked around the lot for a minimum of 30 minutes, not one person came and asked if they could help. I went inside, asked the lady at the front desk( she was very nice) if one of the many people standing around wanted to sell a car today, she said they were all managers ( apparently managers dont sell cars?) and paged someone to help me. I showed the salesman one of the three vehicles I was interested in, he went out to the lot to get it for a test drive, 10 minutes later comes in and says it needed gas it would be 5 minutes, I waited at least 10 minutes, the salesman was no where around, came back and said he was going to go look for the car and who ever went to put gas in it, a few minutes later he came and said it was back for a test drive. I drove the vehicle, and liked it. The vehicle was way over priced in my opinion and according to KBB. I was told they would only be making $17.70 at their asking price. The vehicle had been on the lot for 2 months. We could not come to an agreement on price so I left.Long story short, the customer service at this dealership is by far the worst experience I have ever had. I had to seek out a salesman, I test drove 1 of the 3 vehicles I was interested in, I was not asked about a any other vehicles that interested me, I was not asked if I had a trade in and when I called the dealership after I left to discuss my visit with a manager instead of writing this review, I was on hold for 5 minutes and then was told there was only one manager on at that time and I could leave a message or call back on Monday. This showed me that as a whole this dealership lacked customer service, I will never return and never recommend to anyone.

Horrible customer service! My mom recently got into a car accident and was looking for a cheaper car. We stumbled across some she liked, however I talked her out of it because I thought she was rushing into it and should look at other dealers too. After showing us two cars That we test drove She told the guy helping us that well come back but that she wanted to go to a different dealer. His expression and tone quickly changed from happy go lucky, to downright rude. He now had a mean look to his face and was addressing us in a rude tone. Right as we left his office he threw the keys across the desk in a fit of rage. Needless to say we found a car somewhere else and didnt return because the customer service was horrible.

Bursnville Toyota appears to have done very little to protect their customers from the Covid 19 pandemic. No masks, gloves, or social distancing. For repairs, service people get into the limited air space of your vehicle and touch the doors and controls--a great way to spread the virus. The only adaptation I noticed were plastic panels at the check out desk. According to research studies, these panels help block some particles-. Especially with central air/heat circulation, however, the particles can easily travel over the plastic panels and around the room. For those of us around retirement age, we work all of our lives to save money and an enjoy some time off. And then we are confronted with places like Burnsville Toyota who apparently dont care whether we die or have scarred lungs for the remainder of our lives. This is not customer care. It is willful negligence and life-threatening behavior.

I had a great experience with this dealership 3 years ago when I leased my car, but I did not appreciate them wasting my time today. I called on 5/11 to schedule end of lease appointment. I needed an extension,so Miranda Malone, BDC agent, scheduled me to see Tony Marsh at 4:00 pm on 5/12. I showed up few minutes early, and was surprised that I couldn’t open the dealership’s main door! I was really confused, especially that I saw someone leaving moments before I tried to enter the dealership. Few moments later, someone opened the door and let me in (not sure whether that was a customer or an employee). I asked two individuals at the reception if the doors were locked, and they confirmed yes and never explained why. I thought this was quite strange to be honest. Anyway, I proceeded to ask to see Mr. Marsh and a sales rep, Janeah Hanson, responded that he was not in for the day! I was really surprised, but she directed me to talk to someone else who didn’t introduce himself, so I can’t state his name here. This person took my details and asked Mrs. Hanson to help me. Few minutes later, she received a call from him and she told me that I should call Toyota financial to set up the lease extension. Fortunately, this was quick and I didn’t have to waste additional time. I work at a hospital and I left work an hour and half early to make it to this appointment. This experience made me feel quite frustrated, particularly that a) I did not need to be physically there to get the lease extension, and b) that no one bothered to contact me to cancel the appointment that I had with Mr. Marsh. This really speaks volumes about the quality of your customer service, and I hope you do better in the future!

We recently went to Burnsville Toyota to lease a new Corolla. It was Labor Day and the entire place was very busy. We wanted to take advantage of some dealer incentives and we could only come on Labor Day. To make things worse, we also had a relatively small window to get this deal done. Weve bought many new cars over the years and none have been what we would define as customer friendly experiences. However, we were fortunate to get Ken Harris as our salesmen and he was great. We let him know what we wanted and our time window and he rushed to get it done. Hes the first car salesmen Ive seen run. Admittedly, Im not a fan of car salesmen in general, but Ken was great. Also finance made no attempt to push any warranties or service plans on us and we were able to complete the purchase within 20min (upon arriving at finance). Again, very fast and easy compared to all our other car buying experiences. Also, Id like to mention that Ken is in the service and has been for awhile. We prefer to do business with veterans whenever possible. Thanks Ken and Burnsville Toyota.
