Randy was awesome!!! I found something I needed to complete a project and it said your store had it. I drove here from prior lake area. I couldnt find them, asked a person and went as advised. No luck. I fortunately had Randy ask if I needed help. Within 10 minutes I was leaving with an out of season item that needed a forklift to get down. Customer service is still alive thanks to people like Randy!!!
I dont recall ever giving Home Depot five stars. As usually theres no associates in the store to help you. That wasnt the case this visit. Luke was phenomenal. We didnt approach him. No! Believe it or not, Luke approached us and asked how he could help us.When we explained what we were looking for we found that it was out on the shelf. Luke found it in the up-stock, retrieved a ladder and provided us with the product. Luke did this not once, but TWICE.Home Depot, I dont know where Luke learned customer service from. Id like to think it was from you, Id like to hope. But your other locations would prove otherwise.I hope this helps. Cheers!
This closing at 8pm on Sundays is getting pretty old. Some people (as in construction workers and the bread and butter of your revenue) work later than that on Sundays also.4mins until closing and cant get a gallon of primer 10 from the register. But can a guy expect a Home Depot employee to actually work until 8:00 when the store is supposed to close. Its sad that the average American cant handle a 6hr workday anymore.
Employees went above and beyond to help us today! My partner and I went to purchase a grill and they informed that we could get it assembled or in a box. Itd be awesome to have it already assembled! We had a sedan so we werent sure if the assembled would fit. Two employees rolled out the assembled grill to my car and thought of every way possible to get it in the car safely. Unfortunately it wouldnt fit. Then the employees had to find the box and bring that out to my car. The box was just a small amount too big on one corner. We had the option to rent a truck or open up the box and put the pieces in the car. They boxed all of the pieces and put them in our car!Even the fellow at the self checkout was helpful in finding my home depot account and card to pay with since I forgot the card at home. Customer service is fantastic at this store, thanks so much for a great experience!
Home Depot has become my primary supplier for home repair and improvement supplies. They offer a wide variety of high quality items, but best of all, their return policy is totally hassle free. I hate running out of supplies in the middle of a job, but their return policy makes it easy to buy more than enough the first time. If I buy too much, I can easily return the left-overs whenever its convenient later.
The best part of Depot vs. Menards is you can actually find things in the store with their inventory and location system. The employees are always helpful but this store’s lumber is always a bit of a mess.
Why would anyone shop here? Limited products. No checkouts other than self check outs. No staff other than pro desk whos job I have no idea considering Im a licensed contractor They didnt even have anyone to mix paint. Aisles shut down for a forklift, so those items couldnt be purchased ( for over an hour until I gave up) What a sorry excuse for a store.
Very helpful staff. Its a smaller store (compared to others) but their inventory is decent.
Went to return a couple of things and the guy that helped me was very fast, efficient, and friendly.
Amazing variety of plants. The guy at self check out doesnt know what he is doing tho. Lol.
Its a hardware store But if you are visiting a home depot the Burnsville one is the best for customer service
Bought an air compressor and had a number of questions about hose type, correct fittings, etc. The employee there was amazing and took time on more then one occasion to help out. Will definitely go back to this locations because of their customer service.
Staff at this store are great! I wish I grabbed the name of the gentleman who listened to my indecisive reasoning in lighting. 🤣 He really wanted to help.Checkout is marked boldly for Covid-19 expectations and plenty of registers open on a late Friday evening. I tend to forget about this location since its sort of tucked away but it never disappoints in service.I do wish customers would be more considerate with putting away carts and trash in the parking lot. There are plenty corrals that are appropriately placed for ease.
Although Home Depot sells most anything you need, my most recent experience was less than, much less than expected . What stings the most is I was warned, by an employee of the company, NOT to expect decent service regarding the purchase and installation of window blinds. My negative experience started at the store itself, significant delays in finding customer service, improper order placed once purchased, multiple trips and phone calls, far too many attempts to reconcile the issues. But, having made the purchase, I chose to trust resolution would occur. After all, its a familiar store with a big name.In fairness I met a couple people along the way that wanted to help and were willing to listen so kudos to them. The problem is in the lack of staff, training of staff, too many people involved in the process and more.Ive finally received the window treatments but they are still lying on my floor awaiting installation Ive already paid for.And may I add I happened to see a note added to their files indicating Shes in a hurry. NOT TRUE. This note was added after waiting for over an hour to speak with someone ( one of the times I was attempting to resolve and complete this transaction) and I questioned the amount of time it was taking. GrrrrNow, time will tell whether installation happens, whether Im satisfied with the product itself, and whether any attempt is made to satisfy the customer. Throw me a discount or coupon or free tape measure, anything, and it may have indicated someone caredHome Depot should be able to do better and obviously has had issues when even their own employees recognize the problems occurring. No, please, do not say COVID. That excuse is not applicable. It was not an issue of product availability but rather lack of expertise and follow through. If in need of window blinds that need customizing and installation I would suggest (as Ive done before) utilizing a company that specializes in this service. I just thought this would be quicker, handy, accessible and a bit less expensive.Maybe less expensive but I havent seen the finished product.
James in the lumber department went out of his way to help me select and cut the material I needed for my new mudroom. I cant thank him enough! What a quality job he did. My project turned out great thanks to his expertise!
Great prices and friendly staff. I found everything I needed in a timely matter
Very helpful staff and they had what I needed.
Self checkout is terrible. Automatic doors going out were off. The employees were worthless.
While the quartz countertops are beautiful, DO NOT BUY FROM HOME DEPOT!The quartz is beautiful. In fact, I love looking at it in my kitchen. However, I would NEVER go through Home Depot to have this installed again. It was by far the worst home renovation project of our lives. Once we ordered it, the problems began. Their contractor in the Twin Cities, Stone Systems, has been a nightmare. Didnt measure correctly, had to come back again, then when they actually came to install it they had AGAIN measured 50% of our countertops incorrectly and left me with a kitchen pulled apart. When they measured our new sinks, they failed to tell us that the plumbing wouldnt fit the new sink, so I had to pay a plumber $400 to move the plumbing. I was informed by Stone Systems that “plumbing sometimes needs to be changed.” No. If you would have informed me at measuring that the sink didn’t fit we could have found a smaller one. They told us the night before that we had to remove the downdraft for our cooktop, and when they arrived they said they needed to remove all of it. They did it, and then said afterwards they wouldnt put it back together. Now I have a giant hole where the stove top range was because no one will come back to install the downdraft. Furthermore, the stovetop is older and the hole is now a bit too big to fit a new one. No one has an answer for me and good luck getting Home Depot to take responsibility for this mess. Ive been without a cooktop going on 2 weeks now. Ive told everyone I know about this and to never, EVER go through them for any home project. What a joke - I recommend to family and friends to NOT go to a home improvement store for their home improvement projects.
My favorite i buy all my plants and materials there
Great people work here! Every time my 4 year old hears the beeping of the forklifts we have to run and find it. The workers explain to my boy what they are doing and how things work. The employees seem relaxed, helpful and like they enjoy their job!
We met with James F. who helped us with decking questions and was super, super helpful in explaining the different deck options as well as helping us price out Trex vs Azek decking. My wife and I were so impressed with how well he handled our questions and how patient and helpful he was. Huge shout out to James. It was a true pleasure to feel valued as a customer.
Only complaint would be that the store is too big
My father is retired military and I’m active military now Home Depot preaches about being military friendly and they have been pretty good until yesterday. My father went in to purchase a Ryobi drill and showed his driver license with the veterans designation and was denied his discount. Granted it has worked at this Home Depot and every other Home Depot we’ve ever been to. As a combat Vietnam veteran I think an $8 discount on drill should be given when he has a federally issued identification saying he is a veteran, this is completely disrespectful of not only the cashier but also the store manager. If I were you, drive the extra distance to Lowe’s and get 10% off guaranteed and get a kind thank you for service
Quickly overtaking menards as my go-to supply store
I shop here quite a bit for both personal and business. 99% of the time everything is perfect, friendly knowledgeable employees, amazing return/exchange policy and they have done a good job taking precautions during the pandemic. The downside is ordering anything that will get installed by their 3rd party contractors Crew 2. Ive had problems with both carpet installs and I am currently going through an amazingly terrible experience with a door install. Their employees cant get things straight on how to resolve the matter and no one seems to take the matter seriously that I have a door installed improperly and is leaking heat in the middle of winter and is a security risk. Going on over 2 months since our install was botched and still no resolution in sight.
Really great experience. Had employee Saige :) check me out. She was very quick and I had no problems throughout checkout.
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! 👍🏽 My husband and I stopped at the Burnsville H.D. since we just purchased our first home. There are a few projects in our home that we are addressing and we stopped in today to grab drywall and other items necessary for our projects. While in the drywall area, we needed some assistance and we were greeted by ✨Scott.✨ He was pleasant, warm, knowledgeable and very helpful. We really appreciated his friendly service and look forward to shopping here again because of him. The greeter Bill also had great welcoming energy. Thank you and well be back! 🛠️
Great experience today! All the employees were super! Lots of friendly smiles and asking how are you.
I like this Home Depot location, its clean, well-stocked, and they always have friendly employees.Ive gone to this location multiple times, and Ive always been able to find help quickly if I need it. Theyll spend any time necessary to find you something you need, cut lumber for you, and overall are just very helpful.Im also quite happy with the new self-checkout lanes, it makes a quick run in for something quick and painless!
I bought paint that was horrible, I spent the whole day painting and the gladden paint would not adhere at all. I went in to speak to a manager for an exchange, not a refund. He states that an exchange is the same as a refund. It’s not Home Depot’s fault but gliddensHome Depot return policy for paintIf you are not satisfied with your interior or exterior paint purchase, bring back the paint and receipt back to the store within 30 days of purchase. We will make it right by correcting your paint or give you a comparable can of paint. As a customer, I feel slightly here. The product didn’t work! It’s not like I’m trying to beat some system. The paint was horrible. I was never given the chance to get my paint correct nor was able to get something better which I was willing to pay for.I’m willing to pay for! Absolutely never coming back here to spend a dime. If your thinking of buying paint go elsewhere unless you are absolutely certain the paint quality will work for you. I just looked up Lowe’s has 100 percent refund on paint. That’s a safer bet.
Very helpful staff. Friendly too. And they had exactly what I was looking for at a good price.
Used to like this store, but lately the workers have been getting lazy. I came in and asked for a RG59 or shielded cable. The man gave a What you talking about Willus look and I had to look it up for him. I then had to help him research on his work phone and then instead of showing me the results, he just listed them out. It was just his attitude, he acted like he was bothered. I guess being middle aged and working at Home Depot entitled him to be kind of an a$$.
Thanks for the key cutting today ladies! You were quick & efficient & then I had to go back to work sooner than I expected. 😉 Thank you!
They are dog friendly so I brought my puppy with. I only take away one star because I can never find anyone to ask about where items are. I found it quicker and easier to go online and look up what I want to buy and it tells me if the store has it in stock and in what aisle to find it. Pretty good selection for most things.
Love this location!! Best employees, extremely helpful, you don’t have to search for someone, and I had an amazing experience where 2 different gentlemen helped me get everything I needed. It was an amazing experience!! On my own with 2 toddlers this trip would have taken 2hrs more easily...
They are very informative sales members that I had ran into here.
Always happy to shop here but need more experienced workers with what there working with. Asked multiple people questions and they had no clue.
Trung was very helpful. Will as well in which Joseph guided us to Will hope he get people to sign up for the free home furnis
Exceptional service staff and the management was easy to work with had a problem with my battery on my new lawn mower and they changed it right out at the store
My boyfriend and I had a somewhat complicated situation and Tyson and Bri were awesome! They were super helpful and eventually with the help of Douglas and Tim we got everything taken care of. Thanks for the great service guys!
While they have everything you need, its sometimes difficult to find stuff because of the size of the place. And employees are not abundant so its hard to get help sometimes.
To many employees are lacking the knowledge necessary to be of any help just be prepared to help yourself
I was just in this store on 05/16/21 around 0630 when two employees a woman and a man were very rude ignoring me when I was trying to ask them a question about a battery for my garage opener. When they finally decided to pay attention to me the female said to me its over there. I was considering getting home depot card I received in the mail, but after this experience I will not spend my hard earned money where Im not respected enough to get my question answered.
I placed an online order for a snowblower 2 hours before they closed, and simply showed up hoping. It wasnt ready, but they got 4 guys (one of whom stayed late to help me) on it to get it together and in my truck. Talk about amazing service. Everyone says go to the little dealers for power equipment, but I tried and they simply couldnt fulfill my needs as quickly.
Extremely dog friendly staff. Love this store.
The employees were knowledgeable and friendly and helped me find what i needed
If I could give a zero I would. Most disrespectful store I have ever been to.
Great store great customer service my daughter apply for home depot She chose A-day for orientation she went. HR Kerstin gave my daughter the run around for over 3 weeks my daughter when an got a job at cosco She never got pay for orientation or the 1 hour she work on the computer at home depot HR was not professional at all My daughter should have paid from HR just wasting her time
Great customer service with veterans discount
I really like this place now, Im a new happy customer. Because After been looking for materials for a renovation in others stores without success, I found everything In this home depot (Burnsville) thanks to Brent for helped me to find everything, he cut all the wood (good job) and guide me through the store. Now to keep working. Thanks again Brent. 👍🏽
I dont know....But why do I have to choose a star in order to continue sharing.. thats right I give it jo stars at all.. it went a little something like this when I walk in and go to the store is not busy at all. I think myself great in get out I need to grab paint and I know which color I want I know its a pain I want if I tell the guy at the paint mixing station and said okay yeah about 5 minutes 5 minutes cool I go fumble around got some caulking and some other thing I need 5 minutes is up I go there and get even started working on my order yet hes talking on the phone he was another dude so I didnt want to embarrass him because I do respect my elders continue to talk on the phone for a good 5 minutes and then after he was done he ever started my order he just walked to the back Ive been sending it the whole time I kind of say to myself F this Im out of here and the guy says sir sir come back as I was walking away I just kept walking driving down and like a store this is the store off of 77th Street American Boulevard and Lyndale between Lyndale and Nicollet
I love the Home Depot in Burnsville MN. Everyone is always friendly and helpful AND, I love the ladies behind the paint counter. They are simply the best. I went to buy 2 quarts of paint today and she told me I could get a gallon for the same price. Even if I dont need that much paint, I definitely wont have to go back for more.
Had someone that new were stuff was
Alfull, Home Depot is last resort. Todays sales rep. Was someone I would not do business with. If I could have found the product somewhere else I would bought it there.
I love it here, lol!
Deb was very helpful in ordering more flooring.
If you value your own $..please avoid Home Depot for kitchen remodeling. Terrible staff and cabinets orders. Will lie to grab your order.
I was approached by a pushy sales man trying to get my contact information by telling me I could win a free furnace through a drawing they had going on. When I politely declined to give him my information he got a bit upset and made the interaction pretty awkward. I was going to buy some tools but decided to leave the store and order them online from Amazon.
Kind of disappointed this time. Had to walk around and ask four different people if they had what I was looking for. Really wish they still had checkout lines with real people.
I can say this company carries a lot more product than its competitors.
My place to go to when I have minor home projects!
Normally Excellent service with knowledge staff. However it seemed there were areas without employees. I waited in light for 10 minutes before giving up and moving on.
Fix your parking lot. I just got using Lyft, following the flatbed with my BMW on it, two flat tires and two bent aluminum wheels. I want their to return a 11.99 bulb and with be looking at a 2500.00 repair bill. My lawyer will making contact in the morning.Randy Burns... speak to Ben at your Burnsville location, he has all the details.
We rented a pickup to help us move some lawn furniture. It was a lot more truck than we needed, but the price was good and the sign-up and drop-off went as smooth as silk.
I highly recommend Corporate call out Brain and staff on this in their next follow up with the store. Customer service is extremely lacking. I was waiting in line and no one would answer the phone. I stopped the representative and told him to answer the phone while completing my return. There is no reason not to answer the phone. The call gets dropped after 60 seconds of not being able to come through. The Pro Desk needs help as well with answering the phones and how to do projects. I had yo return 10% of my order do to their lack of attention to detail. Staff need to stop standing around (and eating on the floor) and help customers. Remove the representative with glasses who works at checkout. Attitude is not needed in that location and put her on stocking shelves. I watched her ignore a customer, then tell them she doesnt get paid the big bucks to do that work to help them. Seriously, this is the most dysfunctional store I work with out of the 4 in the area.
Been waiting to post this for a while and Ive finally had enough of them... Friendly enough staff but no one is ever available to help or asking if you need help finding anything. Put in an order for pick up-get there to pick it up and then waited half an hour for someone to actually bring it out. Most importantly, their inventory system is not reliable at all. Dont trust it. If online tells you they have it, dont believe it.Beyond frustrated with what used to be a good store. Trying to avoid as best I can now.
Great location for shopping. Not too big. Mo is a long time expert is retail and customer care since Montgomery Wards people. He knows his products well and will help you navigate appliances better than anyone anywhere. Price isnt the only thing that matters.
Terrible customer service. I ordered online for curb side pick up and once i was at the pickup spot and let them know, i Was waiting in my car for at least 30 mins (since the item was really heavy for me so I decided to wait). I called and they said they were too busy at the Customer Service so I walked inside thinking I may as well pick up myself. I walked in, what i saw was 5 guys standing there talking. The lady even raised her voice when i said i wanted to pick up the order myself. Just terrible!!!
Staff was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful!!! 😁
Very helpful
Very helpful staff
Rented truck here. The experience was smooth. Thank you!
My go to place when I need supplies for a home project. God prices, great service.I love that they are pet friendly. On a cold day its a great place to practice dog trading techniques.
Tried curbside pickup and just sat and sat. Followed instructions and no one ever came out. Finally had to call after a half hour. Dont choose this option if youre in a hurry. I shouldnt have to remind employees to run their own operations.
Need more disability cards what customers only have one at the store thats not good customer service you need those carts
Hate the push for self check out at home depot. Do like the app where it tells you the exact aisle location to find the item you just searched...
My daughter wanted a 12-foot hardwood board for a shelf, but the longest they b had was 10 (in maple)
Normally they get five stars but this time there was issues. My self and another car waited over 30 minutes for curbside pickup. My order was some wood. I had to go to the pro pickup area. There I waited ten minutes for my order.
Went for 2 items. I needed a few rolls of sod for patching. Bought a few rolls. Got home and opened. Some of the worst sod I have seen. How they could sell is beyond me. Also needed a universal nozel for a outside faucet. Had the isle number and section per web site. Nothing available and no employee to help. Waited 20 minutes.
Facial masks are required which makes shopping much more comfortable. Every one is so nice too
It was nice
Went in after work to grab paint and the gal behind the paint counter was very friendly even though she was busy. I was in and out in 15 min.
Rebecca was the running the safety flags for the forklift and to help things go more quickly she opened a register so I didnt have to wait to check out.
Went there and bought 5 bags of red mulch .and 2 led switches for my town home
No one is ever very helpful here, but thankfully the stores are all laid out about the sake so Im able to find my way around. Came here for batteries and left with batteries so it was a successful trip.
They don’t know anything
Fantastic staff. Did a great job helping my wife out.
This is not the Wisconsin flea market and you can save big money plus high quality....
The staff and customers are allowed to not wear masks. Plan accordingly.
Selection is always great, to find everything you need for home improvement. But whats wrong with people there? You would rarely see an employee wearing a mask in summer 2020. And barely see clients with those. Lack of care about public health?
Walked around for 20 min. Looking for electrical boxes, no where to be found. No employees around to ask. Finally found them last, farthest isle over by garden center bottom of shelf. I guess electrical boxes arent that important. Also couldnt find tower fans, not in lighting where ceiling fans are.Store is a mess.
With just a few minutes left of likely the last mowing of the season, my old mower blew up.The crew working in the lawn and garden section were extremely helpful in stopping their likely mandated seasonal change to snow gear to help me find a specific Toro mower, forklift it down, get me a cart and get checked out.Very much appreciated!
Great staff Happy all the time
I like the layout of the store. Makes it easy to find stuff. I needed a couple plumbing fittings. They have a lot of choices but not exactly what I was looking for. It could be made by hooking a couple different fittings together, but that started getting expensive. I found a plumbing guy without too much trouble. He was very friendly and tried to find a possible solution, but to no avail.
