Wendell was in our house soon, came up with a solution of how to address our issue in about 10 minutes and gave us a very accurate and reasonable estimate. I am very pleased with their professionalism; this was not hasty work, it was a very detailed and methodical approach that resulted in a quality solution. My only complaint was that my appointment was for 11:00 and no one called or showed up until 1:30. There was no acknowledgement of being 2 1/2 hours late. Otherwise we have been happy with the business.

Ive used Total Comfort Mechanical for both heating and A/C service in the past - mainly seasonal tune-ups and repairs. In all my interactions with them, the technicians and office staff have been nothing but professional, competent and responisve. This year a newer tech doing a start-of-the-season tune-up left the main power off on one of our A/C condensors. After it failed to power up on a hot Friday afternoon, i didn’t think to check the power shut-off and called TCM at 5:30 - long after I thought theyd be closed. Not only did they call me back after 20 minutes, they were able to send a tech who arrived at 6:30 and found the problem right away. He even stayed 15-20 minutes more to make sure everything was working correctly for the warm weekend weather. Great customer service, super competent and flexible. I am very happy to recommend this company.

We finally decided to get it replaced and went with them first. Not only did we get support around applying for a MassSave loan for the work, they were easy and responsive to our inquiries. When the actual work was done I have never seen a more hardworking team- seriously. Wendell and his team were amazing. Clearly they don’t have much standard when it comes to their drivers. One particular driver had no care for the people around them. I was speeding doing 50 in a 35 when one of their vans came flying up behind me almost rear ending me only to cut another vehicle off to get around me. He was easily doing 65+ just to get to the same red light as me. We continued down the same road with him tailgating every vehicle he got behind until they moved or he could cut someone off in the other lane.

I would recommend this company without hesitation. They went above and beyond to find a solution to a problem we had with an old heat vent pipe. Other companies would not even take a look or sent us on a wild goose chase. Total Comfort tech took a look, found the part that would work and it was installed. Very professional service!

Their immediate call back guided me through my system shutoff. The next day they showed up to drain the system and prep for installation. Full installation was achieved by the following day. They obviously are very responsive. Best to call in directly for emergencies and not rely on the website.

On December 19, 2019 we lost our heat on our second floor. Repairing this section required draining the boiler and replacing a $1400.00 part in an old system. Wendall came out on short notice, provided us with 3 options, we elected to replace the whole unit with a heat pump which gave us a new AC unit, something we needed to do anyways and got economical heat in the process! Wendal fit us in, performed the work and I think left the house cleaner than when they arrived . Their service was fantastic! I called on a Sunday morning with our issue and in just over an hour their technician was at our house. The technician was great! He able to help figure out our problem and fix things very quickly.

I woke up to a cold house, as my furnace venter/inducer motor had failed.I called Total Comfort at 7:10 AM, and I got a real person rather than having to leave a message. The tech arrived exactly at the predicted time,10:30AM, carrying the correct replacement part, as I had described the symptoms on the the phone call, so there was no need to have first a diagnostic visit, then order the part, then come back again. By around 11:00 AM, my furnace was running perfectly. I was a first time customer with no service contract. The price was slightly less than my previous service company would have charged with a service contract. What a pleasure, I have never experienced such wonderful service!

It may be strange to review a company who didnt do any work for you, but I felt it necessary to recognize someone for their honesty in an industry known for taking advantage of customers.I had both of my oil furnaces fail within a week of each other. I called the company who had serviced them a few months earlier, and their recommendation was to replace both furnaces. They left me with a cold house and a quote for about $10,000. Suspecting something wasnt right, I looked for quotes from 2 other companies. The first company took a look then never sent me a quote.My experience with Wendell from Total Comfort was completely refreshing. Before quoting the new system, we took a look at the condition of the old system. After wiping the nozzles and doing a little cleaning, the furnaces fired right back up. There was no charge for this repair, and he wouldnt accept any money to thank him. He still provided a quote, which was a bit less than what the first company quoted. Since the furnaces are a bit old, Im sure a replacement is in the near future. When the time comes, Im going to hire Total Comfort Mechanical to do the work.

I contacted Total Comfort Mechanical just prior to a heat wave and found they were booked for the following week and a half. They offer to put me on a wait list and were able to get a technician to our house before the scheduled appointment. They diagnosed the issue quickly, they had a replacement part in stock, and they were able to repair the same morning I had also asked if they could tune up our three air handlers. They were able to do so while they were there, identifying two other potential issues for the near future, which they were able to address. They further checked all of our filters and replaced where needed (from our own stock of filters), including in one case retrofitting a filter that was larger than the designed space. I will use them again for future maintenance and repairs.

The blower for my forced air went out one night, and was eminating a burning smell. I shut off the system, and started to stress out about how long we’d have to go without it before it was fixed. OK, I am a very obsessive customer. I research everything to death and obtain more than the customary 3 estimates for any project. Having said that, I was surprised beyond belief with the estimate, quality of work, professionalism of staff and the final results from this company. A perfect job from beginning to end. No hidden costs, no shortcuts and no delays. Of the 5 estimates I received, Total Comfort beat everyone else in every area as well as creatively hiding the pipe work above the ceiling tiles while all other estimates were to run the line resting on the pipes. Also including poring several inches of concrete to secure the heat pump rather than cover styform with a thin layer of concrete as the base.Wendell spent hours explaining to me every detail of the project.The workers arrived the very day they promised (some companies would not commit to a date until they received a deposit), they were clean beyond belief covering the entire floor and stairs with a protective drop cloth.They were polite, neat, respectful for the property and the residence, and cleaned up the yard and basement better than how they found it. Strangely, the owner, Wendell never cashed the deposit check until he completed the job and will not accept final payment until the work is inspected.If this is not enough I would be very happy to talk to any hesitant prospective customer. Be careful. There are a lot of companies out there that will do the work, but none come even close to Total Comfort Mechanical.

The technicians arrive on time and take pains to record many technical performance values. Recently their technician came in spite of the threat of rain which could have made measuring Freon pressures at the compressor an outdoor chore of some discomfort. Fortunately, temperature differential measurements at the interior air handling unit demonstrated that the compressor refrigerant levels were adequate for successful cooling performance.

And they just finished installing a new high efficiency furnace in our home. I feel 100% comfortable using them. I asked the person at the office if I could get my heating service looked at (since winter ended) and tune up the A.C. The person on the phone said you will get a discount because you are doing both.. (really!) and I asked him do something that was not his job. He did this. And I insisted to give him a couple of dollars! Use the people they are great!

I have a service contract with them and am glad I do. They always show up when they say they will, then spend a good amount of time making sure everything is functioning properly. I had a different company doing my system maintenance, and they did only a a fraction of the work that Total Comfort Mechanical does, and charged roughly the same amount. Some companies charge you an annual maintenance fee then dont call to remind you about servicing your system. This company is not like that. Before every season, I get a reminder call to set up the appointment. Great company, great service.

I ultimately chose Total Comfort Mechanical from four competing bids based on the positive online reviews, my interactions with Wendell during the quote process and of course, price.The crew showed up on time each day and placed tarps down throughout my two-family home to protect the areas as they worked; each day ended with one of the crew vacuuming anywhere work was done. The companys quality of workmanship is very high and the system once completed worked wonderfully. Im a very satisfied customer and have recommended Total Comfort Mechanical to friends since.

This company is AWESOME! The workers are wonderful people, great at their jobs, respectful, careful, considerate. It was a pleasure having them here to install our HVAC, and we have been enjoying the difference in our comfort since. And a year later, the worker who came to inspect our filters went above and beyond to improve the condition. A++ service!

They were able to find out the issue of our AC failing rather quickly (motor died) and get the job done in a reasonable amount of time. The price was reasonable and fix seemed easy - AC works well! Paul also explained their yearly maintenance deal which we will definitely look into as the price is extremely reasonable ($255 for yearly maintenance on 1 AC system and 1 heating system).
