So neat, so many beads of semiprecious stone, and a huge selection of seed beads. Olya is always ready to help and give suggestions. There are so many colors and textures. The pearls are awesome in size, shape and hue. Beading is my hobby, inventing inspiring colorful sequences. And the next step is tessilation...more math.

This is one of my favorite beading shops to go to. The owner is always nice to me and I like the fact that the store isn’t huge and confusing. I always find what I need.

This little store is truly a gem in the area. I was traveling and didnt have some materials at hand decide to give it a try. The store had a great selecrion of beads, magnets, and charms. Olya is extremely professional and nice. She provided great advice on things I needed. I went back there with a nieces for winter craft project as well. I had lots of fun creating things. The only thing is that some stock (charms) are not consistent. They may be out of stock and stop carrying the next visit.

Lovely place. They have quite the selection of larger stones, and they have seed beads too! They have a wide array of items necessary for making jewelry, from start to finish. They also provide a great list of classes, with teachers from all over the world! The store also has yarn, knitting needles,etc, for those wishing to learn to knit!Awesome place, and owner!

By far the worst customer service experience ever!!! First she didn’t even acknowledge us I’m 100% sure it’s because we were Black, since the couple that came in after us she went above and beyond to acknowledge and ask if they needed help and completely disregard the one question I did ask her!! I would never recommend or even step foot in this place!! So if you’re Black go somewhere else where your presence will at least be respected don’t spend a penny with these people!

Due to Covid-19, I dont think this place is open. I went there on July 7th at 7ish and it was closed. I called their number to confirm their hours and it still has a recording of their normal hours as stated on Google information.

This shop has inspired me to expand my skills through the many incredible classes. Owner Olya is passionate about helping people create beautiful jewelry. Added about a year ago is a knitter whose work is simply gorgeous- and she teaches, too.

Contacted Burke Gems & Beads looking to host a private class for my mothers birthday as a surprise. I was contacted right away and met with the shops owner to discuss ideas and skill level for my party. The owner and her staff went above and beyond! The class skill level was perfect for everyone in the party, and everyone had a great time. Thank you Burke Gem & Beads! We will be back!

Beautiful selection of beads and Stones along with supplies for jewelry making. The staff could not have been more helpful and patient. I look forward to going back for some classes to learning more!

Great place. Has a lot of different items, offers classes from the very basic to the very advanced. Love the Tuesday evening get-togethers and Sunday groups.

Just did a Fab class with a friend. Olga explained all we needed to do and helped us select beads to craft a gorgeous kumihimo bracelet. So much fun.

Phenomenal staff and gorgeous selection.

The only bead shop left in northern VA. Store offers zoom classes by designers but I do not like the fact they don’t post prices of the kits until they mail it to you or you go to pick it up. Before pandemic the prices were reasonable but now I can’t afford the kits for classes as they only offer swarovski and no other less costly crystals to substitute and they only carry Chinese rondelles and not bicones. Lots of gemstone strands agate especially but the high end stuff you won’t find here. Seed beads galore and some Czech beads. Store is open to customers but if too many are inside you have to come back later which is a good policy. They also sell pearls and will buy gold or silver. They don’t sell any gold or silver jewelry. It is bead store mostly but they do have some gemstone necklaces for sale if you look up on top of the displays.
