I know little about painting or staining a deck, but since the management here at apartment complex in which I live, only laid down new wood on my balcony, and will not finish the job to protect the wood, I was forced to have to make visit to Sherwin-Williams Paint store. The nice young man who helped me decide which type of paint/stain to get was very helpful and patient. We decided on SuperDeck© solid color of Shagbark Brown # SW 3077. He signed me up with my name, phone number ect. For the loyalty program they have. It gave me a 25% discount..So it came to just under $50 dollars for a gallon. Looking forward to start painting deck in the coming week. To see what results I would get on this sun bleached, dried out pealing wood. How it would look, and how long it would take to dry. (I was happy at how true to color it was on paper pamphlet, and selection at store). Plus it is fast drying! Looking forward to getting the deck floor painted. Wood in bad shape, so this will be good test for this solid stain. I will post the before pics, then after job is finished. 😶

How very funny of all the places Ive been in the last 6 months my phone is requesting I review this place. I was there in the middle of the week in the middle of the day, and there were five people working there that I could see. Three were behind the counter, and at least two were in the back. One gantleman behind the counter was helping a customer, and the two other people were alternately talking to each other and then speaking to a woman who was in a quandary about whether or not to order paint now or wait until she got back from vacation. I spent probably 4 to five minutes choosing a paint color, and then another 3 or so minutes trying to ascertain which quality of paint product I needed for my project. At no point during this 6 to 8 minutes I was in the store did anyone greet me or even acknowledge me, and they definitely they did not offer me any kind of assistance. It was my first time trying to buy Sherwin-Williams paint, usually I just go to Home Depot, but I felt my project required the best paint I could possibly afford and even though it was a financial stretch for me I decided to go and try Sherwin-Williams, as it is widely acknowledged by all the design magazines to be the best. I stood at the counter after having decided on the color and quality of paint I wanted, and after standing there for another 3 or 4 more minutes listing to the two employees repeatedly tell the overwrought woman it really didnt matter if she bought the paint now or waited till she got back from her vacation I have finally threw my paint sample color up in the air and walked out of the store, wondering if they thought it was all on usual that a paint chip sample was just floating through the air all by itself, as apparently I was completely invisible. No one even glanced my way once. Wow. I went to Home Depot and bought paint, and save $30. Sherwin Williams paint may be better, but those employees paled in comparison to the service I received at Home Depot.

Best quality, good service, but a little slow. I went in for a custom wood stain match. The match was excellent. However they took a day longer than promised.

The selection is outstanding more than any hardware store youd go to. Unique paints, and friendly staff who are very helpful in picking out the exact paint you need for your job.

This store the personal were right there when I walked in, helped with what paint was best, and when I came back to pick up the clerk remembered me right away . had my order ready it was wonderful. I had gone to a different store for help and paint chips and that was not the case. would recommend burien store always

I really liked the salesperson, but the $13 quart of paint turned into $25 at the register. I do not think he was trying to cheat me, but he just guestimated a bit too much. I used a pro trim paint and what a difference. I could tell by how paint drips stuck to the laminate floor vs. the wall paint I was using

Have had 2 horrible experiences at this Sherwin Williams location now, and will never be back again. Both times I went, first to inquire and order paint, the second to pick it up, I had horrible associates who didnt seem to know anything. They made the process long and super drawn out, and there were issues and confusion with pricing both times i went in. Ill go to a different location should I need any more paint in the future.

The salesman there has no personality. He was rude to my husband and talked down to him. I will never visit that store again. The tall white salesman needs to work on his customer skills.
