Based on online reviews, I opted to go with Computer Sonics (Lynnwood Computers) to repair my laptop when it died rather spectacularly about a month ago.Everything seemed up front initially. I was told that the diagnostic would be a specific price and if I opted to have them work on my laptop, then the diagnostic would be waived and I would just pay for the service/repair.I got a call a couple of days later telling me that the issue was fixable, however it was a design flaw and if they fixed it, it would be costly and would probably happen again in the future. I get this, I have had issues due to design flaws with other devices.Heres where things start to go hinky.The original quote I got for data recover was $60 for 120GB. This was later changed to $60 for 120GB PER HOUR. Then when I was on the phone, it was suddenly $75 for 100GB. I was then told that I had under 200 GB of data to recover, but they would do it for $90 total.Great! I can actually afford that and after an issue with a jump drive, I brought in my replacement laptop to have my data moved onto that.Several days go by and I didnt hear back and didnt hear back. Finally I call and am told that it was done a while ago. Apparently they didnt remember to call me to let me know.When I was able to get in to pick it up, suddenly the quote that I got is forgotten and the total due is nearly twice what the quote was. Not only that, but the diagnostic fee is there and I am told that there was nearly 1TB of data to be moved. Which is super impressive given that my had drive was a mere 500GB.So yeah, NOT a good experience. I feel lied to and like they tried to pull a bait and switch and worse. The tech on duty was able to reduce the cost down to $99, which is still more than what I was quoted, so they do get a single extra star for that.However, I will not be going back and will recommend everyone I know to stay far FAR away from them.

Looks drab from the outside and sterile. You walk in and it is very empty except for one guy that you have to look for. Then, once they help you, you cant understand them and they dont know much about the products they are offering. This company replaced Computer Sonics which was a thousand times better than this business.

Not many parts but very honest and helpful service. I was recommended by a co-worker and would definitely recommend to others.

Spoke to some rude jerk on the phone right after my friend had called and was treated like dirt. I need on simple connector for my MOBO. I was told it was proprietary and only a stock replacement would work. Needless to say this expert is completely wrong and I was able to quickly find the part at FRYs.
