I don’t trust mechanics. My check engine light came on and my car was running rough. I took it in at 8am. They called me back within an hour to tell me the issues and estimate. As soon as I gave the ok for the work they called me back that day and said it was ready. The gentleman I dealt with was kind, communicative, funny and very pleasant to deal with. I actually felt comfortable and safe leaving my car. They are wonderful and I tell everyone to take their vehicles here.

I needed help getting my new battery installed in my car, and the owner was so honest and upfront and didn’t over charge me for doing such a quick job. He was kind, quick and affordable. Even the folks at Starbucks across the street had a glowing review about Dan and his team, saying they won’t go anywhere else for mechanical work. As a woman, I 100% trust this place for any future work I need done.

Dan is a great mechanic! Professional. Took my 2014 chrysler voyager for an oil change. He also has some 3D print arts he showed me which were pretty nice looking and can be bought for decoration. I recommend this place to everyone.

Amazing customer service and I left feeling 100% confident that this guy knows what hes talking about. A lot of mechanics talk down or are too busy to explain the whats and whys, however at Community Automotive, he explained everything. Dan is great! Ive brought my car to him before and hes always managed to fit me in and hes upfront and honest. This weekend my car suddenly stopped running, no reason for it. I knew he was open on Saturday so called to see if I could have it towed to him so he could look at it on Monday. I fully expected that he wouldnt be at the shop when we got there since it was after 5 pm. Not only was he there but he was gracious and told me not to worry hed get it fixed. Not only did he get it fixed but he did it on Sunday instead of waiting till Monday. Hes honest, friendly, funny and Id recommend him highly to anyone!

Not only did he diagnose my car, he waited an hour and a half after closing for the part to arrive so he could install it and make sure i went home with my car that night. EXCELLENT MECHANIC!!!! I first heard about this mechanic shop from one of my friends. He got his oil changes & work done on his car by DAN from community automotive! I first began to bring my 2012 MERCEDES C250 FOR OIL CHANGES. When i first got there, DAN the owner, his hospitality was great! Kind, straight forward type of guy. He quotes you right in front of his computer, Types in all the parts needed for the job, tells you exactly what will be done & how long itll take & of course how much including labor tax & part tax.Thats amazing! MY car after the oil changes just riding so smooth & job was well done! I was a happy customer. I recently had a major coolant Leak on my Mercedes, I brought my car to DAN & his crew & 2 days later, my car was ready to hit the road! he would of had my car the next day in the afternoon but Mercedes had to ship out the parts overnight. BUT 2 days is GREAT! specially since i needed my car for school & work! I CAN VOUCH for DAN & HIS CREW, theyre a great crew! i have finally found my go to mechanic from now on. Took my truck in because the A/C was blowing cool air instead of cold. Dan called to let me know it would be over $700 to bring the A/C up to factory spec which was more than Im was willing to spend given the age of the vehicle. He agreed and we settled on cleaning and recharging the system. A/C is working much better and Dan would only accept $85 even though I told him his time was worth more. He said in a community we take care of each other. Will be returning there if the need arises.

Too many mechanics are thieves and prey on the fact that most people dont know about automotive stuff, but Dan makes sure to tell you everything that he sees and will thoroughly explain things to you whether you need work done or not. I took my 2002 Ford Explorer elsewhere and was told I needed $1,700 in repairs. Dan not only looked at the same parts, but told me I didnt need any work done at the moment, saving me literally thousands.I respect any business that could easily take money from people but doesnt. Dan and his crew have my business for life.

I thought that was so nice of him, although those things didnt work already he tried. Most people wouldve said to bring it in no matter what so they can make money off of you. I brought my car in at closing and was ready for pick up a few hours after opening the next morning. The price was also a lot less than I thought it would be. This should always be your very first call. Amazingly honest, very very fair pricing and will tell you if its not a repair type their good at. Its almost impossible to find places like this. Give these folks the first look a any auto issue youre having. If they can fix it the price will be more than reasonable and the speed of service exceptional. Ive go an old 72 chevy truck that needs all sort of little fixes to make it great. I look forward to having this shop do the work.

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of care you have for your customers and their property. When I left my daughters car in their care handing them the key I trusted that any personal items she had in the car would still be there when we retrieved the car. When they weren’t we were told they have no responsibility WHAT? So the cases of juice for the kid just gone. My 6yo granddaughters unicorn purse she got for Christmas full of change is gone. A few other things but whatever right? This was a families car that was broke down and brought to this place for repair and theft. Way to go.

I wasnt sure where to go...but after reading the reviews for this shop I decided to take in my Trailblazer I recently bought. Feeling I got burned for my recent purchase I was happy to get my car fixed with no major issues. My car was fixed the same day! But I was grossly overpriced for services. 716$ For thermostat, flush & oil change. He may seem like a nice guy but beware!

A few days back I got a $1600 estimate for work needing done related to the “front suspension and steering gear & linkage”. This estimate was from a place I’ve gone to for car work and trusted, they replaced my right control arm a few months back. Took it to Dan today by chance for an inspection and another estimate — turns out it was just an obvious loose screw and took less than a minute to fix once found. Funny enough, that loose screw was in that control arm I had put in at the other place. I saved a ton of money and stress! Wonderful and friendly customer service. Dan didn’t even charge for the $85 inspection fee! Will not be going anywhere else for car work!!

Firstly, Im a small business owner and I rely on my work van to feed my family. That being said, I started having issues with the van so I called Dan after seeing the reviews for his shop. He listened patiently and gave me some advice to try and said to bring it in at 7am the following day if the problem persisted. I estimated my repair would be between $500-$1000. I followed his advice and what do you know, fixed my problem for 15 bucks. I still came in the following morning, grateful, insisting on paying him a diagnosis fee at the least, which he politely refused. I cant remember the last time i met a truly honest person who isnt looking to take advantage of someone for profit, not to mention obviously skilled as he diagnosed my issue over the phone. All of my familys vehicles will be going here moving forward. What a blessing to those of us in the Burien area.

Excellent service, had my 2003 Rav4 ignition coils replaced. Was quoted by another mechanic at 2-3 hrs, $160 - ridiculous (labor only, I had bought the coils already). Dan charged less than a third of the price, for the .6 hr labor it actually took, which was the exact quote he estimated over the phone. Honest guy, great pricing, customer service, and communication. Thanks Dan! Will be back again for sure!
