Went here for the 1st time and was shocked that when asked I was told by the cashier that a kids and regular size are the same. Ummm no its not. Next I asked if the marshmallows in the Unicorn 🦄 had animal by products. I was told by a person who appeared to be the manager/owner that its regular marshmallows. Ummmmm sir most regular marshmallows have gelatin in it which usually is an animal by product. Seeing that there are non diary/vegan options I would think one would know if the marshmallows contain any animal by products.Overall I wish there was a kid size and that the employees knew more about their ingredients.Mangonada: was good minus the spicy toppings.Unicorn: was good minus the marshallowsBirthday Cake: kinda tasted like vanilla but eventually you tasted the birthday cake.
I was very impressed with the overall concept. It is very accommodating to non-dairy options.HOWEVER, there are some major flaws.Due the process of making it with liquid nitrogen, the ice cream melts fast . I believe the decision to combat this was to make the portion sizes smaller. So, you finish the cup before its melted.I think they forgot to lower the price after shrinking the portion size. The value just isnt there. I wont be returning wasnt worth it.
This place is awesome, but the wait time is horrible. This last time there was a girl with long hair and a mask barely on her face that kept sticking her hair and head in to the bowls. It was disgusting. Plus slicing fruit on same cutting board where everything was being placed, as opposed to in their hand like they’re supposed to.
Great fast service, tasty ice cream, clean store! Perfect all around ❤
We watched them mess up three or four orders while waiting for our own. Waited probably around 20 minutes. The product itself was good but probably wont return for a but as it is also pricey.
Worst customer service ever! They don’t even deserve a 1 star. Went in when there was only one person ahead of me and then it got busy after me. I Ordered 1 unicorn Ice cream that took 20min to make then my second order was a plain coffee milk small ice cream that came out 40min after ordering and that was only because I asked about it after waiting for it so long. There were 2 other customers that experienced the same issue while I was there. First and last time going to creamistry. Shouldn’t have to pay $17 dollars and wait 40min for an ice cream order. There were about 6 staff people working there at the time and they were reaching over each other grabbing ice cream scoops and toppings. Scratching their faces with their gloves and then touching the icecream cups. Total chaos and a zoo. They didn’t even seem to care when I told them that a simple small coffee ice cream order took them 40min to make. Wow!! Worst experience ever! Get your staff together
It was a very interesting scientific method to create a quite solid ice cream treat with the consistency of soft serve. I do think everyone who is a fan of frozen treats should try it once.
I came with my kids because we had never been here, and we had a bad experience. The people here are like zombies! Slow and cold without a functioning heart. The one lady had AirPods on the whole time and when I was trying to ask her something about the ice cream she didn’t hear me so I had to raise my voice even though we were the only ones in the store. Also, it’s dark in there, they need more lighting.
Service was good we came in late. We tried the fruity pebbles with a cream base. Prices were a little bit on the high side as a small was a$5.95. it was cool to watch the make it in front of you with the liquid nitrogen. the whole process took a couple of minutes to complete the ice cream. Had a few problems with our Samsung pay but beyond that it was a good visit.
The ice cream here is delicious and the new owners are super friendly and attentive. 10/10 would recommend!!
Worst customer service ever.My friend and i walked into the store. there was one girl who had airpods in and didn’t even bother to greet us. we ordered the ice cream but while they were using the nitrogen, i guess they ran out of nitrogen. i got the same flavored ice cream before so i know what it tastes like. they left the fruity pebbles in the milk for 15-20 min that the cereal became soggy. i went back to tell them this was unacceptable, and they looked like zombies. other customers were waiting too and no one bothered to take their order and said “we ran out of nitrogen so it will take 10 minutes”. (what does taking someones order have to do with waiting 10 minutes to change the nitrogen. they could take their orders and then tell the customers it will take 10 minutes to make it) that is when all the customers looked so dumbfounded and left. the employees were so rude and unacceptable.
Always love comming with kids here for the icecream 🍦😋. Very nice location next to the playground and fountains ⛲
Honestly the ice cream was disgusting... over priced and looking nothing like the pictures they have posted. I ate a few bites and threw it away . $26 wasted . Don’t waste your time here
This place is located in Mall of Georgia near water fountain & dinning pavilion. I went there with family. Manager explained me how Creamistry is different the regular ice cream and I can order their special flavors or built my own. They have 3 cup sizes, regular, medium and large.Every cup is made fresh to order. It took them less then five minutes to make my icecream from liquid nitrogen in front of me, process was really cool, Iceceam was really creamy, delicious and customer service was great. It was wonderful and different kind of experience.
Had a terrible experience today. My husband and I entered because the name sounded interesting and I wanted to see if they have vegan options. Im allergic to dairy and Im vegan. I was excited to see that they do have vegan options. We waited a dew minutes before someone came from the back and greeted us. Well she didnt greet her we greeted her, she just came out and stood at the register. I explained to her we hadnt been here before and asked to explain the process. She did and then I told her I have a dairy allergy and asked what flavors I could get. Once it was all decided and the order was paid for, another employee came out to make the order. He first made the mix with regular milk base and not the cashew base I asked for. We told him its an allergy and he started over. Then once he remade the ice cream, he used the regular scoop, which was used with dairy products to get my ice cream out the bowl. We explained that he cant do that I have an allergy. We ended up getting a refunded and leaving. Terrible experience and will not be back.
Unique flavored nitrogen ice cream, great concept!
Went here for their soft launch and had such a great experience. They are still learning their processes but do it with a smile on their face. Absolutely loved their Quantum Coffee, never had anything like it and had fun watching them make it with the nitrogen. Make sure to stop by here if you are in The Village you wont be disappointed!
I took my family here one evening and the ice cream was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful, but the prices were just to high compared to other places we typically go to.A regular sized cup is $5.95 without any toppings (toppings are an extra $1.00 each), and it has about a scoop and a half of ice cream in it. For comparison a large waffle cone with three scoops of ice cream at Bruster’s is $6.50, which is still less than a regular sized cup with one topping. We also go to Yogli Mogli fairly often which is probably about half the price with practically unlimited toppings. Granted, it’s soft serve but the kids love it because they can pick whatever toppings they want.We ended up getting three regulars, one for myself, one for my two boys to split and one for my wife and daughter to split. My cup had about a scoop and a half but the one I got for my boys to share had at least two scoops, I wish I would have taken a picture of it to compare. But when I was ordering I asked if they could split a regular cup into two cups and they said we could just have another cup to split it up if we’d like, so I’m wondering if they just gave us more knowing we were going to split it. Me and my boys both got chocolate flavor but mine was definitely a darker color than theirs so I’m thinking they just added more base to the boys cup with maybe the same amount of chocolate flavor. The ice cream was kind of in between soft serve and hand dipped, it was nice and creamy but it had more of soft serve taste as compared to a hand dipped ice cream like at Bruster’s. Something else I didn’t like is that it was difficult for our kids to figure out what they wanted. They like to be able to see the toppings and pick out what they want, but the toppings were behind the counter where you couldn’t see them. It would be nice if they had a kid friendly menu card or something like that with pictures of the flavors and toppings so kids could easily pick what they want.In summary, good ice cream with a lot of options but too expensive to take the whole family. I don’t think we’ll go back again with the kids, we’d rather go somewhere like Yogli Mogli. But if it was just my wife and I we might give it another try because they have a lot of different flavors and menu items that I’d be interested in trying.
There were no customers in and we were the only ones in. They can’t even get the orders right. I would have gotten better service at my local McDonalds
The ice cream was great my son was very happy however the service was horrible. When my son and I walked in and tried to order they said we had to have mask. I gave my son one and waited outside but there were No signs stating this. There were signs saying lobby closed however there were 4 young ladys sitting there eating with no mask. So I had to let my child order and pay while the ladys could sit and eat. Not only was this bad enough they were so rude.
I loved rolled ice cream
Worst experience!! The boys making ice cream there don’t know how to..after waiting for 20 mints i got a melted ice cream..totally inexperienced staff
I only went here because the frozen yogurt place my son originally wanted to go to was closed. They were rude as hell! This was our first time there and we definitely won’t be returning. The lady at the cashier was sooo rude and acted like she couldn’t answer any of my questions. If it wasn’t for my son I would have just walked out. Hire new people who have some kind of customer service.
Fantastic ice cream. Just need more people and they are hiring which will help.
The ice cream was good, but one of the girls who made our ice cream wasnt wearing a hat or a haircut, and we wound up finding a hair in one of our ice creams. They also both looked completely miserable the entire time, which made us feel like a huge inconvenience.
Slow service and overpriced. Tasted ok.
On a Saturday walked up to them closing at 8:27pm when the sign says 9pm. Stopped by mall of GA just for this ice cream. Will not return.
I went here with my family who was visiting from out of state. The first thing we noticed was that the workers looked miserable and werent wearing hair nets. Everyone has bad days no big deal. My ice cream tasted great but sure enough my dad found a hair in his ice cream. YUCK!
The coffee signature ice cream was god awful and did not at all taste like coffee.
Closed 35 minutes before posted hours. Watched the guy lock up after driving here specifically. Never again.
Not open during regular operations hours…booo
Excellent!
Kids enjoyed the experience. Ice cream was very good. I would recommend if you are willing to share with someone.
Worst customer service, walked in and all 3 guys walked in the back, stood there for 10 minutes and was not recognized for even being there, then when I asked for service he said would be another 10-15 minutes, no personality at all with employees, our service industry has fallen and this business will fail with this attitude, and cameras are in the business, surely the owners see this and are aware and do nothing, will not go back nor recommend this business,
Amazing 🍨 and so so cool
Ice cream is phenomenal! Exactly what the name says, very creamy. Service was prompt and they took the time to explain the process to us as we are first timers. Watching them make the ice cream was the second best part of the whole experience. WONDERFUL! We will definitely be back.
I’ve cream is great. Don’t expect great customer service as many of the reviews will tell you. The teenagers don’t greet you, don’t offer any sort of welcoming gesture.
First time trying Creamistry! The ice cream was pretty tasty, although the prices not so much. I got the unicorn flavor which was pretty good.
I love this place! Its not the cheapest but it is the creamiest. I love that there are none of those tiny, icy bits in the ice cream and it always tastes so fresh. I always go for the birthday cake flavor, no sprinkles with Capn Crunch mixed in. Highly recommend!
Very interesting place. Customer Service was good. We got two of the special ones quantum coffee and captains breakfast. Both of them were very good. I really liked the quantum coffee. They have a couple non dairy options to make your ice cream, so that is awesome!
The Creamistry was definitely different. I have been to Sweet Lab but this was my first time here. It was really good. Great way to spend my Birthday.
Loved it!
Terrible service. Very rude and demanding. Will never come back.
Dont go in thinking the concept is just a gimmick. In addition to the cool science lab vibe, the ice cream is super creamy and hits the spot. My wait was pretty long but they make the goods on the spot and its real popular right now, so cut them some slack.
The ice cream was good, but it did not taste homemade. It tasted like any other good ice cream that was reasonably fresh. Worth a try, definitely, but I likely wont be back given the price and wait time.
This was our first experience at Creamistry. We walked in and the two young ladies were too busy talking to really pay us any attention. Neither explained anything to us. We kind of had to figure it out for ourselves. The icecream was delicious. We ordered the sea salt caramel crunch. When the young lady gave us our order she never said thank you for coming, have a nice evening, enjoy nothing! Customer service means a lot to us. Call us old fashion, but I dont care how good a product is, I refuse to spend my hard earned money in an establishment where they cant even open their mouths to say a simple thank you. I dont think we will be returning.
Its a very interesting place. Makes me think of a mad scientists lab due to the smoke from the ice cream. The ice cream is delicious and creamy. Sweet but not cloying. My friend tried one of the sorbets and loved it.
This was the best non-dairy ice cream I have ever had. I was finally able to have “real” ice cream for once. They make it the same way as their non-dairy ice cream but it’s plant based (they offer cashew base or coconut base). I’m super excited about this because I have a dairy allergy. I get tired of eating sorbet or ice creams that don’t taste like ice cream. I am so grateful for the Creamistry. ❤️ They are very friendly and fairly fast. I highly recommend them!
This ice cream was delicious! I was skeptical at first, because how much can you really improve ice cream? However, it was so much creamier than normal, and I loved the Nutella flavor! So good!
The best Ice cream I have ever had, so creamy and smooth! Highly recommend this place, first time in, I was introduced to the menu and was talked through the offerings and process.
I have been there 4 or 5 times and it doesnt disappoint. I love the cookie butter and pistachio flavors, but I think the chocolate flavor is the best--especially with some almonds mixed in. Sure, it takes a little while, but they are making ice cream FROM SCRATCH so for me, it is expected that it will take a little longer. For me, it is like going to an ice cream restaurant versus ice cream fast food--it is a little more money and the wait is a little longer, but the end result is worth it!
Been there twice already! Had the best experience and the ice cream was so tasty! Will be coming again! Definitely recommend, especially in the summer!
This is not the best ice cream place in Georgia. Recommend the “Quantum Coffee” and the “Elemint”. Reccomend.
How are you supposed to run a business when you let kids run it? Not one experienced manager or person on duty, the place was absolutely trashed and extremely dirty. Unless you want to watch amateur hour ice cream makers it’s not worth the time.
First time trying this ice cream and honestly- the Best ice cream hands down! It’s worth it! Made fresh to order and many options!
I found out about this establishment just browsing around online, and I thought that it sounded like a really cool concept. Its not like I really need a good reason to eat ice cream in the first place, but with it being chilled on the spot with liquid nitrogen, I was very intrigued. My husband and I went earlier this evening to try it out for the first time, and I was super excited about it. For starters, we were not greeted upon entering. Were pretty laid back, so no big deal. The girl that was behind the counter informed us that we would be helped shortly. She then went to the back, returned a few seconds later, and then a second girl followed and proceeded to just stand behind the register staring at us. I think her name was Abi? I smiled at her and said Hey! when we made eye contact, as you do, and she said nothing in return. Im pretty socially awkward in general, so I hated that, lol. I wasnt aware that they didnt have candied bacon at this location, which is honestly another main reason why I wanted to try it out. So that was a bummer. The girl ringing us up said maybe 5 words total throughout our whole interaction. We overheard while waiting that the second girl messed up my husbands order, but at that point its whatever and we were just eager to leave. She didnt fix it, by the way, and just continued to make it incorrectly. Im not one to leave reviews. Especially bad ones, because I usually just cant be bothered. However, I left Creamistry tonight feeling pretty frustrated, and very regretful of ever trying it out to begin with. The one star is attributed to the ice cream, because it was creamy and delicious. The customer service, on the other hand, was extremely subpar at best.
This ice cream is so creamy!! Love it!
The kids and I love it. Cool experience and delicious ice cream. Really flavorful.
Here’s my take:1- friendly man at the counter who served us explained the ordering process/ simple: pick size, flavor & toppings2- EXPENSIVE- prepare to dig deep. 3 regular cups with a $3 buck tip, $27 out the door. If you’re a large family on a budget- share, or go to Publix for their yummy flavors.3- girls behind counter-young & disengaged. I’m mean seriously, it’s an ice cream shop- look happy for God’s sake! A universal smile goes a long way. How sad.4- kids enjoyed the nitro show5- worth the experience with my kiddo + laughs, and yes- Amazing ice cream that was the creamiest ever.6- A must try...
It was Way over priced
SagrarioThis lady is awfully disrespectful.Cant say enough.....She shows coldest looking faces to every customers. If she works well at work, other person should taking orders but not her. She should be only making ice creams.
Very unique concept where they freeze the cream with nitrogen right in front of you. The ice cream was just ok, but overall a good place to stop for ice cream.
Had the best cheesecake ice cream with crushed graham crackers and strawberries! Cannot comment on the staff working there, because I ordered through Grubhub
Creamiest ice cream I think Ive ever had in my mouth!! Enjoyed watching the girls behind the counter make our concoction with the nitris-oxide(?)!!! Little pricey, but overall, I think worth it!!
Neat idea but poor execution. If youre going to make fresh cones as theyre ordered, you need to train your staff to let them cool a little before adding the ice cream. After messing up our order the first time, the employee made another cone and quickly shovelled the ice cream in. Within minutes, it was a leaky, melty, mess. Maybe something to keep it from dripping would help.
I got the Capn crunch mixed in with my ice cream... Damn thats good. Lots more choices and variety to make your ice cream than some of the other ice cream places
The service was way too slow even though the store wasn’t busy. This was my first time here and although the ice cream was good, no one wants to wait 15 minutes for ONE ice cream.
They have a wide array of different types and flavors of Ice Cream that are awesome!
Awesome Ice cream! This is probably the creamiest ice cream i ever had. I highly recommend this place as it is a cool concept and they make great products. I bought captain breakfast and it was amazing. Staff was very friendly and had smile on their faces. We went there pretty late, almost close to their closing time, but staff member invited us with a smile on her face. We will definitely be back! Way to go creamistry buford.
Nothing special, just over priced milkshakes.
Very creative way to make ice cream. lots of options.
Novelty is what brings you in the door, the great taste and unique flavors is why you come back often.
Very unique place. Loved the ice cream.
So, the owner was utterly rude to my friend who had a service dog. At the time, he was unable to speak due to reason that contribute to him having a service dog. The man, and I use that term generously, berated my friend and constantly asked if his dog was a service dog. My friend, flabbergasted and unable to speak could not reply as the owner of this establishment kept demanding if his dog was a service dog. My friend barely gets a yes out, the owner asks him to speak up as if my friend is a criminal and I had to tell this soulless meat bag that he said yes. Additionally, he kept lurking over his young female workers and al of them looked uncomfortable.
This really wasnt the experience I was expecting. I was really disappointed after looking very hard for this place visiting up near Atlanta. Sorry
My God daughter loves their brownie ice cream
Delicious icecream always fresh with many flavors good service and extremely tasty.
Very good. Employees were very friendly.
Cute and good ice cream shop will come again
I come here very often and had to sadly drop my score. I got a large ruby cacao today and they gave me a nitro shake version. When I asked one of the employees they brushed it off and said I was wrong. They didnt even put lids on my cups. I had to lid them myself which concerns me because how many other people put their hands on these lids without employees seeing. Very disappointed today.
Love this place and they have vegan options!
Love there birthday ice cream there 🎂
Great experience, I tried the Pistachio flavor and so far the best one in the area!!
Great ice cream, friendly staff loved watching them make the Ice cream with nitrogen
It is an intriguing concept to use chemistry (aka liquid nitrogen) on paper, but not entirly practical in real life. Loses its luster in first five minutes.Every order is made on the spot, and this includes the ice cream, cones, and etc... (Expect complications with machinery by the staff) If machine breaks or runs out of nitrogen add 15-20 minutes to your order. Our order of two small cups took us over 30 minutes to receive. Expect it to be over priced due to fancy tech. $6+ for plain. $10+ for desired.Over all, expect this company to go out of business in around three months.
Worth going at least once.
Waited about 15 minutes for our ice cream. They served several people who ordered after us first. Many of the people had bigger orders than ours as well. The ice cream was not the best liquid nitrogen ice cream Ive had. Frozen cow Creamery is a million times better. They arent close to Buford but if you are in the Kennesaw or Woodstock I recommend going there instead.
Neat experience 👍 Good ice cream
Best nitro ice cream place
Creamist ice cream of my life. A bit pricey, but youre paying for the novelty, I suppose.
