Dont order anything you need in a timely manner. It appears they are only using the lowest cost shippers which is now resulting in massive shipping delays. The excuse is that there is a driver shortage. But, items ordered from all other companies arrive on time, but Global Industrial shipments are lost in shipment for 3 weeks past scheduled delivery date and still counting. When a company like this charges full rate for shipping, then tries to profit off the shipping cost, by using the ultra low cost shippers (least reliable) the problems start. I hope management takes note and makes some changes to the shippers they use.
One of the absolute worst companies to deal with. Customer service is clueless and transfers you to other agents because they dont know how to handle issues. Purchased several thousand dollars in safety railing and none of them are compatible with one another(website/customer service say they are) they all require additional parts resulting in spending thousands of dollars more. We had over 60lbs of material that cost us $140 to ship in a basic box with no type of support (it came damaged). Do yourself a favor, spend a little extra and support a company that cares and has quality products.
At the time of this review they have a 2.3 rating on Google…that should tel you all you need to know. Terrible service here. Shipped us cheap furniture and then charged 15% to return it. Then they claimed it was damaged in freight. Do not use this company. Their stuff is cheap and their customer service is horrendous. This is why Amazon is putting bad companies out of business. They know the value of customer service.
Beware! Abysmal customer and product support. Their warranty is useless. I bought 3 Global Industrial industrial ceiling fans. One was dead on arrival. My electrician verified it was the fan motor by swapping with one of the others. I contacted customer service on June 29th and provided all requested info including photos. Since then, all I get is please allow us some time to investigate emails when I check on the status. Theres nothing to investigate - they just need to ship a replacement. Its now July 15th and still no resolution. My electrician and I are both extremely frustrated with this company that was once a good company to do business with. Something has gone terribly wrong with this company and my advice is to avoid them until their business practices and customer reviews improve.
I like this company because they sell industrial quality goods to consumers as well as businesses. I have ordered from Global Industrial in the past and have been very satisfied. I recently had a shipping error issue with a small order which was frustrating but the staff at the Buford, Georgia distribution location did everything to search for the lost item and reconcile the issue. Special thanks to JB for calling me today noting that he had located my tinted protective glasses and was having them shipped directly to me. In a consumer market where the little guy consumer gets overlooked a lot it is appreciated that Global Industrial staff treat even the smallest order and customer service issue as a priority. I went to deliver one day early but the staff was gone at 2:30 pm, but stayed at their parking and was glad cuz theres no truck parking only 40 miles away in atlanta. 🙏

Called customer service to get clarification on a product I was interested in online. Needed shelves but representative on the phone sold me parts. After calls to return incorrect product still have to pay restock and return shipping. Will not recommend this company.

Absolute horrible customer service. Ordered multiple items to be picked up. After paying, receiving order confirmation and told the items are available to be picked up (I still waited an extra three hours to make sure), but when we arrived at the warehouse, we were told by the warehouse manager it would take another 2-3 hours. He stated we could wait but there was nothing he could do to make it quicker. The attitude was if you do not like it, who cares. I cancelled my order and took our business elsewhere (ULine). Hard to believe a company this size has business with this type of customer service.
We had an awful experience purchasing a partition with this company. Their original quote of items needed was not correct, and we had to purchase additional hardware. Their shipments were 20 days apart from each other. In addition, the instructions provided to assemble were not easy, and when I reached out for guidance with assembly, I was told that they could not guide me. Awful customer experience. Do not purchase with this company.
Horrible experience with this company (if you can even call it that). I was initially told I didnt have to prepay for an order I was placing for my company even after insisting which I thought was nice but a little different. A week went by & somehow my order was still not even placed let alone shipped. Within the week I had called at least 3 times & each time was told everything was fine it was just being processed by the credit department.Lisa Nash in the credit department was a NIGHTMARE to deal with as she has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE skills. She told me she had never received anything from my company & to forward my order & application over to her email when I got off of the road. Before I could send anything over, I get an email from her saying she found everything but to place the order now Id need to pay for it by wire transfer. I declined & found a much better company to do business with. A couple weeks go by & I get a friendly email telling me to feel free to place an order with the company again & I had a complimentary credit line. I decided to give it another shot with a much smaller order & they sadly missed again & Lisa Nash was once again the issue.Avoid this low-budget company that lacks communication & any kind of customer service.
Please consider shopping elsewhere. I ordered 2 large, industrial tables. When they came, the tops and bases did not match. After 3 calls to customer service across multiple days, I finally connected with someone who attempted to be helpful. I was initially told that I could not return the items because they were out of the box. When I further explained that the items did not match, I was advised to re-order, but with no guarantee that the new shipment would be correct. Huge hassle, so not worth it.
I should have read the reviews on this crappy company. I ordered an articulating keyboard shelf on a Monday for a project that was due on a Friday. Paid $60 for 2-day delivery to arrive on Wednesday. On Wed, no order and no tracking info. I called and found out that the order was never filled and the part was on back order for a month. No notifications via email, just didn’t fill or ship the order.UPDATE - the day after I called them and canceled the order, I got a ship notification. I called them back and canceled the order a second time, and was assured my card would not be charged. Card was charged and I had to challenge the charge with my credit card company. Be wary of any dealings with this company.
I wish I read the other reviews before purchasing. I ordered 36x72 wire decking. The images show one piece and the specifications state the items to be that size but they cut them into smaller pieces fo reduce shipping cost. good for them, terrible for me. 2 stars because it shipped fast
If I could rate a negative number I would do it. This company is a complete cluster F*%&. I tried 4 times in one day to get answers and buy something. Every person I spoke to either had the attitude from hell or was incompetent or both. One lady told me technical services would call me back.... WRONG. I had one lady who would not answer my question tell me I had a bad attitude and hung up on me. You would only buy from this company as a last resort and I mean literally a last resort. Pay more money from a competitor and buy from them. These people are a complete joke.
I know ordering a trash can doesnt compare to big business, but upon receipt, the can had a slight dent in the top. I called Customer Service, and she couldnt have been nicer. She solved my problem quickly and efficiently, and I received a new trash can shortly.
They act like they know they’ll be going out of business soon. Terrible service and essentially the same offerings as Quill and Granger but with more expensive shipping and arrogant customer service. I have managed business accounts for two companies with GI accounts and I’ll never qualify them as a vendor again.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. I would give 0 stars if I could. I placed an order. Their website said it would ship the same day. It has been 3 days and it has not yet shipped and every time I have called they tell me it will ship that day. I eventually had to cancel my order and order from a legitimate company.

Have been a customer several times per year for the past 15 years. Ordered a large industrial scale after normal office hours on Wednesday. The shipment was readied for pickup on Thursday by 1PM by Global and the freight company was requested to pickup at that time. The freight company failed to do so on Thursday, but did so on Friday AM around 10 AM. The freight charges are being billed to my shipping account with the freight company, so I have access to the dispatcher notes. Most people would blame Global, I dont. Like I said, I have the dispatcher notes. The shipment was too large to fit in the last trailer of the day dispatched to Global on Thursday so the freight company had to return the next AM. I would estimate 95% of the goods we have purchased from Global have shipped the same day when practical and the next when we order too late in the day. And when something like this does happen, it aint Globals fault. Does Global make mistakes? Sure, we were missing a package of plastic feet for display shelves several orders prior. And Global next day air shipped the feet to us, no questions asked. Good company. BTW, the shipping cost for the 194 lb scale is $101. Freight Class 100. 194 lbs cant ship via the Brown truck, so the scale must ship via a freight company. And freight class 100 is expensive freight. Having a bit of knowledge about freight costs and delays is useful to keep from complaining about shipping costs and arrival dates.
Appointment was 9am showed up 8am hoping they will unload me. But was told to wait until 9am. The funny thing is I’m the only truck in the parking lot. they just gotta work by the appointment time. Useless
Ordered 300 totes. Totes were delivered covered in dust from top to bottom. By email, expressed my interest in discussing this and what could be done to rectify this twice. Did not get a response to either email. More generally, the company was extremely difficult to work with just to complete this single order. They have lost me as a customer, and I hope others read this review and follow my advice to never become one of their customers. They dont deserve you.
I work receiving in a factory, and this company is the bane of my existence. Every time we order anything from this company, it either comes in late or damaged. There was a shelf that we ordered middle of last year that came in with a massive bend in it, so our purchasing department called to get a replacement. When the replacement came in, it had the exact same bend. Rinse and repeat two more times before we finally had enough un-damaged parts to make a full shelf.We ordered two small metal hand carts from them November 1st. They didnt arrive until December 14th. One was damaged. We kept calling to try to get a replacement, and kept getting told that it would be shipping soon. Eventually, in JANUARY we received a replacement wheel. The Frame is what was damaged. We Called at least twice more to get an actual replacement, which they once again assured us that we would be receiving. It is MARCH and we still have yet to receive a replacement.Much to my dismay, we ordered a new set of pallet racks for our warehouse from Global. This morning (march 14th, 2019) The racks arrived. The pallets that they arrived on had been ABSOLUTELY ATOMIZED, and had become no more than loose wood shards strapped to 1500 lb bundles of metal beams. They had double stacked the two HEAVIEST pallets. And the straps they used were plastic instead of metal. Upon being unloaded, the straps on the bottom of the two pallets broke, sending about 1500 lbs of steel falling from about 5 feet in the air. LUCKILY no one was harmed. But if someone had been in the way, they would have died.This company is AWFUL.NEVER ORDER FROM THEM

This company is a joke. We ordered a bunch of office desks from this company. One was damaged and could not be assembled.They would not refund our money.The delivery people are some of the worse in the business.Save the headache, look elsewhere for your products!
Ive shopped this company for past 10 years. It was excellent at first but now either freight is way high or items backorder. Even if item states in stock that means nothing as I got backorder notification and web still showed in stock for immediate delivery. Plus they give you a delivery date only to have it move, often several times. Just not a dependable partner any longer.... Sad.
90% of the people down are under influence of narcotics they drive pallet jacks so dangerously in the warehouse they smell like marijuana all the time, supervisors dont care what you do if you lazy you get better positions if you hard worker they will put you to dirty nasty positions even if you have years of experience they just dont carePay is low and they illegally cut on your hours or dont pay you over time also make you stay mandatory overtime on Saturdays because those lazy people do nothing entire week, they hire people thru temp hire so they can change them every 3 monthsAnother problem the employees that should put orders together doesnt speak English so good luck to understand what you should pack this company is an joke please dont work for them waste of time
In January we found a lockable storage cabinet at Global Industrial that was perfect for our new business. We paid an extra ten bucks to get a pre-delivery phone call which never came (the delivery guy noted that they often did not bother to call businesses that they assumed would be there anyway, as opposed to residential addresses). It was mere luck that we were present when the delivery was made. That left us with a bad taste, along with the huge upcharge (an extra 50%) over the purchase price for the shipping from just a few miles away.Months later my wife attempted to ask some other product questions online, but she abandoned the effort due to the total lack of straightforward responses. I had a similar long drawn out experience thereafter in asking why they carried stretch wrap equipment but had zero stretch wrap of any size on hand at the time, accompanied by their having no clue of when they might have any.Yesterday I decided to try one last time, so with a list of stock numbers in hand, I attempted to order a sizable pile of stuff online. At checkout I could not place the order without an account number, which their system “insisted” that we already had while simultaneously not recognizing our existence. It was eventually discovered that one of the two names I was given for the alleged account holder that showed up under our business name (color me surprised) was actually one of their very own Customer no-Support people. No clue there, presumably yet another royal Global screw-up. Some two and a half hours later, after we stumbled into someone up the food chain that graciously got the order placed and the account set up, we thought we were good to go.Later that day I looked at my order online to see if any delivery tracking data had been added, and I saw that the order was “On Credit Hold.” The next hurdle was all of us together learning the difference between a debit card and a credit card, and the total irrelevance therein, as I was not actually asking for any credit in the first place. Yay – the order was “released” at last!The following Saturday I received an email that our stuff had been shipped, including a tracking number from Southeastern Freight, which led to a “no information available” dead end. Wondering if I might need to open our place up and wait for a delivery (see first paragraph above), I called several numbers for the carrier and finally had a nice conversation with a security guard in South Carolina, assuring me that they were indeed closed.Back to Global Industrial to try a “Chat.” Their system was showing this was available online, but that too was apparently incorrect. I dialed the “available Saturday” number and discovered that only worked if I selected none of the options offered and instead just waited on the line long enough. Alas, my ESP skills had failed me again, as I was informed that the Southeastern Freight shipment was to “actually” be shipped Monday.Side note. In the course of our first purchase from Global I had a chat about being pounded with marketing emails. My cell phone is the key component to our security system, and being jolted awake at 4 AM to review nifty Global Industrial offerings was not cool. Problem solved?The next day I received an email (at 6 AM) that the order had shipped, including one of the items showing as “Not Available,” but what the heck.Basically, we have observed that Global Industrial is hideously and consistently incompetent on the best of days, and has proven to be the worst supplier that I ever could have imagined in every regard thus far in my scant 43 year professional career. I’m leaving the door open to my discovering a worse company before I take the dirt nap, but I’m thinking that it’s highly unlikely.In summary, henceforth we will gladly pay more, whatever it takes, to get what we need elsewhere. The only good thing is their prices, but that just ain’t worth the reprehensible and intense buttockal pain necessary to deal with them.

Packed a whiteboard poorly, and then refused to replace it because the damaged was not reported within 5 days. They are an industrial supplier. The product was not unboxed until it was time to install. Protested, but they refused to help. Will not do business with them in the future.
This whole experience was dreadful. I paid for expedited shipping when I ordered 13 days ago. They literally just processed my order and when I called to inquire about where my package was they said they were within their 10 day limits, told me they could email me the tracking number and hung up.

Customer service is reminiscent of the post office. Even though they made the mistakes it is my problem.
I ordered some wire from.... received a desk. When I tried to get it fixed, they were out of stock on the wire I ordered... I cancelled the order, but they held my refund hostage until they got the desk back, the problem, they were very slow in sending me a return address label for the desk.
