Dip n Dive is great in so many different ways I’m not sure where to begin. First off the staff is extremely knowledgeable with any questions that you may have. They will help you find out what your dive needs are and recommend the best solution or products to make your dive successful. The classroom experience is top notch, with the same staff running classes. I had Chris for my instructor and he’s an excellent teacher. With that said their teaching is very thorough but still easy to understand. The pool sessions of classes are of the same caliber. I highly recommend classes vs some online trainings as you’ll be a better and more confident diver for it. The kicker to all this is they give students a really good discount on the gear you’ll need. When you get certified they plan trips all over the world for you to enjoy and get the most out of your dive experience. I can’t recommend Dip n Dive enough to anyone.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Took the class in Buffalo then a vacation in Florida to complete the open water dive. Worked out great. Chris held my certification card until I swung by the office. Thumbs up!! Nice job everyone.

Somethings just need to be done in person. I would have wasted a ton of time and money buying a wetsuit if I hadn’t stopped in to meet Chris. He gave me tips, tricks, and advice. After reviewing my options and trying on a couple options I am ready for some colder water adventures! Thanks again Chris for making my shopping quick and easy.

The class at Dip n Dive was great! The classroom lectures were very informative. And, when it came to the pool the instructors provided a lot of one on one training and were more than willing to take extra time with anyone that needed it. I highly recommend getting certified at Dip n Dive!

Certified advanced recreational diver for approx. 12 years and have been going to DND for just about all of my gear, minus field purchases. My experiences have been all over the board on my travels, and mostly positive in my diving career. It has been a fantastic sport to be part of, divers are an awesome breed.The crew at DND are completely professional, knowledgeable and my favorite part, objective in their opinions. Ive bought lower price range gear as I started out which performed fantastically on their advice. Low end to high end, they seem to only carry gear they can stand behind, which I love.This is an expensive sport, but if serviced properly (of which DND is fantastic in their skill) your gear will last you a long time. My original gear purchases are going on their second decade and work perfectly. They also offer a substantial gear discount for those who complete their open water certification, better than anything youll find online!Ive also taken refresher classes with them and its clear time and again, safety is paramount, as it should be. If you want to give it a shot, dont hesitate to jump in with Dip n Dive. Chris and Crew are excellent instructors. Best of Luck.

At first I was annoyed that they insisted on teaching in person instead of online like most places. Now that I am certified, I cannot be more happy. Compared to friends who took the easy online option I can say that I am a better diver for the experience. After becoming certified I was fully confident in my ability to head out and explore on my own (with a dive buddy). At no time did I doubt my abilities. I attribute this to the serious manner in which the staff teaches students and cares about each one being safe while having fun. The staff treats students and graduates like family and they are the reason I continue to go there for all of my gear needs! Plus the owner Chris is a stone cold fox!

I conducted a general online search to buy snorkeling equipment for a cruise I took last year. Upon entering the store it was neat, clean, and fully stocked with all sorts of water gear. I had no idea where to begin in purchasing snorkeling equipment. Although I do not recall the gentlemens name who assisted me, nonetheless he was extremely pleasant and patient and Im sure he was well aware I was a rookie. The gentlemen (not going to call him an associate because he may have been the owner), was so kind. He showed me equipment in varying price ranges and broke down the difference in quality. He even gave me some tips on how to set up my googles before entering the water and how to keep them from fogging. Per his suggestion I decided to purchase some snorkeling gear and I was sooo happy I did. The gear was quality, light weight but still small enough to place in my carry on. The gear worked extremely well and I had a ball on my snorkeling adventure. If you are ever in the area and need some equipment to enjoy the water I would highly encourage you to stop by this shop.

I took my certification class at dip and dive. I was very pleased at how thorough they were in the classes. They are very helpful and more then willing to guide you in the right direction in every aspect of diving. From gear to rentals to dive trips anything you need Chris and Bruce are wonderful. Hi owner, I posted on the warehouses page & I’ll post here since I got a response. Read this post in it’s entirety but specifically see below starting after the next paragraph for the previous post.To start off I received 2 responses that stated they don’t have a record of me in the store & noted the ratings of my reviews. Shame on you for conveniently “not finding” a record of my interaction & purchase. Also a proper review is necessary when a customer receives customer service that can only be described as egregious.Thoroughly disheartened & disappointed in my experience with BOTH DipNDive stores.First, I called the wear house on 6020 N Bailey Ave. Suite 4A Buffalo, Ny & spoke with Adam. I explained what I needed, & over the phone he was courteous and accommodating, offered for me to come in & look through the wear house inventory since I needed a wetsuit ASAP. He made a note, & we scheduled for me to come in the next morning.After driving an hour and a half to store the next morning, when my mother and I arrived we were met with a face a shock, dismay, & almost horror. As we walked in, a Ukrainian man who’s name I forgot, looked as though he saw a ghost as we were entering the store. For the first 15 minutes he was stumbling over his works, and seemed out of his element and very uncomfortable talking to black women. About 20 minutes in he admitted he heard the conversation between Adam & I, so he knew to expect a person, with my exact name, to arrive & look through the selection they had. Not only did he not offer the services arranged over the phone call the day prior, he also neglected to offered any solution to my immediate need.Second, I went over the the retail DipNDive store in hopes of a better experience & to find what I needed to take home that day. Unfortunately we suffered an even WORSE interaction. The large, I think blond, probably mid 60’s year old gentleman manning the shop was very standoffish and rude, almost irascible when I asked simple yet concise questions about the inventory, even though I knew exactly what I needed.The worst, most DEGRADING, & INSULTING part of all came shortly after he finally “remembered” he might have something that would work, when we said we’ll take this one, he stuttered, looked at us oddly, and said “But this suit is $500, CAN YOU AFFORD THAT?” And then went on to ask us 4 times, in 3 different ways if we were sure we could actually afford the suit.So much like the scene from Selena where she wants to buy a dress & the employee says “But that dress is $600...”DIPNDIVE STORE STANDARDS, EMPLOYEES, & ETHICS ARE BEYOND SUBPAR!Simply stated they are morally vacuous.ANY PERSON OF COLOR, or any person with morals, or a hint of decency STAY AWAY from this company.

I would highly recommend this dive shop as well as the instructors, especially Chris. He is very understanding that every diver learns at their own pace. They stress the importance of understanding your equipment as well as how to maintain your safety while diving. Ive actually enjoyed this shop so much I am joining them on one of their trips this year!

I became interested in diving because my wife and I frequently vacation to the Caribbean as well as some prior snorkeling in West Palm Beach. I visited Dip N Dive to obtain information to begin diving. Only prior knowledge was my “expert” research via Google searches. If you are familiar with the saying “Explain it like I’m five,” and appreciate it, this is your place. Chris explains things very thoroughly as you are learning but does not make you feel inferior. His expert knowledge makes me feel confident I’m making the correct decisions when purchasing gear. He does not pressure sell anything and gives you the advantages and disadvantages of everything.In regards to the training, I obtained my Open Water certification through Dip N Dive and couldn’t have been happier doing so. The resorts will try to pressure you to get certified while on vacation, however Dip N Dive spends hours in the classroom and pool to make you confident upon entering the water. All the training is done prior to any open water (lake, river, quarry, ocean, etc.) entry. I am registered and anxiously awaiting my Advanced certification ton continue my training, all with Dip N Dive!

Great Shop! Instructors are very thorough and ensure every diver is prepared, safe and well trained when graduating from one of their courses. I have been diving with the shop for about 3 years, and feel very comfortable diving with any students certified through them. I dive with the local shops in and around the area as well as in Canada. Scuba diving has always been on my bucket list and this year I decided to cross it off. I chose Dip N’ Dive because of it’s close proximity to where I live and I couldn’t have made a better choice. From the time I walked in all the way through the pool and every time I am in the shop everyone is so helpful and willing to help. Chris has the customer’s best interest in mind when you are ready to buy gear. He won’t try to sell a piece of gear that is over kill when you don’t know what you want. “Buy right the first time” That is there motto when it’s time for gear. We happen to find them through Google, saw the reviews and they are all 100% true. In addition the costs for the classes and gear are very transparent and they are only looking to give you the best experience possible. We enjoyed working with all the people at the shop so much that we purchased our own diving gear through them and are signed up for the advanced diver courses! Solid shop and experience all around. qualified and thorough staff go above and beyond. tough to find anything negative...My own approach to the process is the exception. best to enter with a plan, and the DipNDive crew cater to the whole spectrum. you may just want a managed experience to learn some skills and try it out...or this is going to require lots of gear and scheduling, which will take time and preparation. then do some diligence and make sure to ask the right questions, thankfully the answers, and discounts, are found on NFB!

I recently obtained my scuba certification through dip and dive just two months ago with my dad. The course through Dip and dive was great! 1/2 the course is spent in the water- ensuring you have the proper skills needed to be successful. The other 1/2 of the course is spend in the classroom. Since taking the course my dad and i have done a few dives- Including the annual treasure hunt dive at windmill quarry. The treasure hunt dive i HIGHLY recommend!! The store manager Chris did a fantastic job with the event to make it a ton of fun!! The store was very generous with giving out some nice prizes for the winners along with food and drinks after the dive! We were pleasantly surprised and will be back again next year!

We went to look for snorkeling gear to get an idea of cost and what we might really need. Our original plan was to check out a few places. Once at Dip N Dive however, we decided there was no need to look any farther. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and easy going. We never felt pushed or talked into anything. We are looking forward to using our gear and are confident in recommending Dip N Dive to our friends.

Being new to scuba diving, I did not know anything. Both my wife and I took the certification courses through Dip N Dive and had a great experience. The instructor Mariah was awesome. She was patient with our beginner abilities, guided us throough both classwork and in water skills, and helped us through the certification. The entire team focused on safety, education of equipment and the world of scuba.The entire staff was comprised of highly trained professionals who outwardly cared about and pushed safety. The shop offered a wide variety of further education classes, certifications, and quality equipment. They even plan diving excursions every year to experience diving throughout the world. We could not be happier with our experienceat Dip N Dive and will definitely be sticking with them. Very highly recommend them and already have to many of our friends whom are interested in diving.

Safety first, the fun follows! Took the NAUI diver certification course, classroom training with a pool session twice a week. In the pool, had to repeat basic skills to the 4 instructors satisfaction until skills became automatic. For open water dives, I was surprisingly comfortable and confident because the pool training had been so thorough. I would highly recommend for teens through seniors (Im 67) in reasonably good shape and competent swimmers.

Great staff, are instructors were awesome and knowledgeable, was all around great learning experience for my son and I, we are looking forward to continuing are training with them.

My husband and I took the certification course through dipndive and did our open water dive in key largo with them. The instructors were professional in the class room and in the water. We were a bit apprehensive about the open ocean at first but Chris was patient and made us feel perfectly safe and comfortable. The staff’s first priority is safety and making sure the equipment is the right fit for each person. I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. My kids plan on getting certified as well and making this a family sport. Thank you Chris, Joe and all of the dip n dive staff for making diving a great experience.

The staff at Dip N Dive will make sure you are beyond prepared for diving in the open waters. The dive course is spread out over several weeks and is based half in the classroom and half in the pool. It culminates with an open water dive in a quarry. I highly recommend going to see these guys for your certification, and even to pick up gear!

Great dive center! My teenage daughter and I took their scuba certification class and were very satisfied. As a father, I was very happy how thorough our Dive Instructor Chris was throughout the certification process. We had several youngsters in the class and he did a great job working with each of them as well as ensuring that they understood diving principals. Took advantage of the promotion DipNDive runs occasionally that allows a paying parent and child (10-14) to register and take the certification course for the price of one.The dive shop is well stocked and fairly priced. Chris and Bruce have been very informative, answering questions and helping us select the right equipment.

I recieved my Open Water training in June 2019 as a surprise for my husband that had been certified many years previously. Chris was a very good class instructor and addressed any concerns I had in the pool immediately. All the instructors in the pool were extremely knowledgeable and very patient with many of the younger students. Chris was very helpful in picking out new gear for myself as well as a new set for my husband as a gift to update his old gear. A very big plus when buying your gear directly from Dip N Dive is the lifetime parts warranty on the equipment. You will not get this same warrantly when buying your gear online. The store also has several options to pay for your gear if you are on a budget. DipN Dive instructors are always emphasizing safety which is why I feel comfortable having my sons also take a certification course this fall. A+++++

I took the Scuba certification course with my son. We had a great experience in the classroom and also with the pool portion of the class. A really great place to learn SCUBA! Youre getting a great deal on the price, compared to other locations around the country (Ive looked). Our main instructor, Chris, was always really candid, to the point of dissuading purchases that would have likely benefitted his bottom line. The courses quality was top notch with lots of prepared material for the lectures and multiple instructors guiding you through the pool training. The open water day was even more involved from Dip N Dives position: with something like 1 dive master or instructor for every 2 students. You get the impression that you arent just squeaking by barely knowing your stuff. Instead, youll leave the class confident of all the skills you need to start doing dives around the world. Everyone from the shop and the course was extremely helpful and friendly. They seem like a great group to do regular dives with too, so if youre gonna be in Western New York and want to find a SCUBA clan, these are the people to go to!

At first glance, it might seem like any other thin scuba diving suit, but it is not because its abrasion panels give it its strength and makes it stand out from other similar scuba diving suits. It is very efficient in keeping you warm under cold water thanks to its micro plush thermo materials. A definite must have for women who love scuba diving.

I called around to numerous shops in Canada about doing an overhaul on a used Sherwood SR1 First and Second Stage Regulator as well as an SR1 Octo I picked up online. Not only was I received with rude customer service and terrible pricing, but they didnt even seem to care because they were to put out at me for not purchasing it from them for triple the price brand new!!I called Dip N Dive because I take quite a few trips to the states and not only did they offer to do a complete overhaul for me at a very reasonable price, (after giving me all the options and what they would be doing for each) but he also offered to service it and return it to me the same day so i wouldnt need to make more then one trip down!I will be going in next week but I doubt anything in this review will need to be changed seeing as this is a shop you can clearly trust and somewhere I will definitely be returning to in the future!

The beginner dive certification class was excellent, everyone was friendly and helpful. There was never pressure to buy required equipment through Dip N Dive (though they stressed that they would have special pricing for students and easy returns if we had any issues with the class as they would accept full responsibility for the equipment issues).

I ordered a MiFlex LP hose from Dip N Dive through Amazon, which didnt t fit my Mares regulator. Amazon was no help, so I contacted DND directly. They dont carry nonstandard fittings for their MiFlex hoses, but managed to source one from another vendor and replaced my hose. Great people! Highly recommended.

I was never able to take scuba lessons here, so I cannot comment on the quality of the lessons, however I will never take lessons here because of the customer service that I received. I purchased a Groupon for scuba lessons for my girlfriend and I and when we called to redeem it, we were told they were no longer honoring the Groupon, even though it was still valid and they were still required by Groupon to honor it. They had a business dispute with Groupon and instead of dealing with it with Groupon and providing me with good customer service, they decided to make me, the customer, deal with the issue and told me it was up to me to contact Groupon a get a refund. Groupon does not offer refunds to customers though. Its not about the money, I refuse to patronize a business that doesnt own up to their own business mistakes and make good on an agreement they made with a customer.

Me and my wife just completed our certification in the beginners class what a great time,the staff was great, they sure do make sure you know how to do all of your skills and the right way and they also make sure you are safe doing it.The staff in the shop and all of the training staff are very knowledgeable and very personable great people.

I highly recommend Dip’N Dive for training, equipment purchases and guided diving. Starting with their “Learn to Scuba Dive” course, I developed the skills needed to be a competent diver. All divemasters are experienced, friendly and helpful. Chris, in the shop, helped me select high quality gear. Local diving and international trips are well organized for fun and safety. Taking the scuba certification here, unbelievable price, everyone there is super friendly and doing everything they can to make you succeed.

I visited Dip N Dive while on vacation to NY and contiune my training for certification but also purchased a couple of items from them as they have such a better range of products than where I currently source products from in the UK. Shame I couldnt buy more but luggage restrictions put a stop to that. Great knowledge and more importantly for me they have actual expereince with what they sell.
