Dessert Deli was great to work with. Our cake looked perfect and tasted even better. Throughout the entire process, they were great to work with. Anytime I had a question or needed to change anything, I could just call and they made everything easy! I highly recommend working with them for your event or wedding!

I have purchased a different cake for several occasions and each time its AMAZING, the talent that is shown on these cakes are truly breath taking. Im giving them 5 stars but they deserve many more! My fiancée and I went in to inquire about a wedding cake tasting and talked Lynn who was very friendly and very helpful! She informed us how to set up the appointment online which we did and met with Claudine the cake designer that day. Claudine is very professional, friendly and goes way above and beyond to make sure youre happy and comfortable! I cant say enough about the staff and the dessert at the Dessert Deli! I highly recommend! I cant thank them enough for their service! We are getting married in Jan and cant wait! Thank Dessert Deli for helping making this day oh so special!

Don’t bother going after 7pm…. we arrived at 7:30 PM this evening only to be told that they will not be cutting any more cakes.Their desserts are pretty good, but the customer service is really inconsistent. They refuse to cut any cakes after 7pm. I went in today with my husband to get a treat for our anniversary- specifically not getting dessert at the restaurant we went to for dinner, in order to get dessert here, only to be told with an attitude, that they will not cut any more cakes even though the case practically empty and there were no selections available. Not only that I am also pregnant so I was none too pleased with my experience. We were there around 7:30 PM, when I asked for a cake to be sliced I was told no they won’t do it, when I asked why I was told because it’s too late that they don’t cut anything after 7 PM. Mind you they are still open for two more hours and I can’t imagine that the cakes that have already been cut go in the trash each night. I’m sure they are selling them the next day. So the thought process behind not cutting cakes for a paying customer is beyond me.Not only do we purchase cakes throughout the year for birthdays, but every year we get our son a custom cake that usually averages between $150 and $200. I’m seriously rethinking less. The service improved and has apparently declined yet again… There are other bakeries in the area and I may be patronizing those in the future. What a disappointment.

We went to Dessert Deli on Maple Road to get a birthday cake for my son’s birthday. What a wonderful staff. Every person there was very friendly. The person who waited on us was Tim. Dessert Deli never disappoints. I have ordered 5 cakes over the years, each one with a unique personality and designed precisely as I requested. But the one I just ordered, takes the cake!Before I even saw the cake, the worker bringing the box over had a huge smile on her face and said wow as she opened the box to show me my design. When I saw my daughters baptism cake, I could not believe how exquisite it was. I had what I can best describe as a joyful moment. Everyone who came to the baptism was stunned by the cake. The pastor said I am impressed! It was just SO beautiful. Somehow, it tasted even better than it looked! The vanilla buttercream is not overly sweet, just sweet enough. The chocolate mousse is so light. Then the fluffy cake is moist and light. It is not a cake you feel sick after. Its a cake that you ask for seconds (and maybe thirds!) If you go with Dessert Deli, you will speak directly with Trish, who clearly loves what she does and cares about your cake. The cakes can be pricey but they will work with your budget. If you go with them, expect a delicious cake and a special experience.

The photos speak for themselves. Also, I loved that the white part of the cake was not fondant! Only the decorations were. The actual cake part was fully edible. So pleased and will use them for years to come!

Went in before closing, so there wasn’t a wide selection. I grabbed 5 cupcakes for the family, they were a little heavy. Maybe thinking there was something in the middle but it was the frosting on top. It was very good frosting (raspberry) but very thick even at room temperature it was still very heavy.. now this raspberry cheesecake!! Is awesome, I do plan on coming back for more cheesecake but the cupcakes are a no for me. I do want to order a lemon cheesecake 😍😍🤤🤤 sounds delicious!

I dont often post reviews, but felt compelled to after my third experience with dessert deli. The cakes that they make are absolutely gorgeous -- and the flavor is phenomenal. Theyve done my husbands 40th birthday cake, our daughters first birthday cake, and my sisters baby shower cake and each one has outdone the one prior. Weve received so many compliments and the price is always very reasonable for the sheer amount of cake you get. Look no further if youre looking for delicious cake at a great price.

Dessert Deli is always a pleasant experience. The desserts are delicious and the workers explain any questions regarding certain baked goods. In addition, they keep the safety of their employees and customers as a top priority. In a recent experience, when I was there, there was a customer who wasnt wearing a mask and an employee promptly told him that it was mandatory for him to wear it in the bakery. Kudos to this girl for enforcing the local and state policies and keeping safety a priority for everyone there.

We were so happy that we chose Dessert Deli to do our wedding cake!! Planning a wedding during a pandemic was not the easiest, but they were so accommodating with all of our constant changes! The cake was beautiful with all the colors from our color scheme! We went with the gold cake with the strawberry filling and it was absolutely delicious!! Were using them again next year for our postponed reception!

The best wedding cake I have ever had. I do not like cream cheese frosting, but their cream cheese frosting is wonderful.

The lack of professionalism was the problem not the COVID legal guidelines. Further, the cake we bought was so dried out that filling inside the cake literally fell out when pieces were cut. Moreover, out of the 3 workers that working none of them were capable of writing “Happy Birthday” on the cake. If people want to buy dried out cakes and/or treated rudely they should frequent your business.

There are not enough wonderful things to say about Claudine. She was so down to earth and easy to talk to. My fiancé and I had our consultation with her and she went above and beyond to make sure our dream cake came to life. The cakes we sampled were delicious and their prices are so fair and reasonable. Scolded rudely tonight by short lady behind counter for crossing red covid line on floor which we didn’t see after running in for birthday cake 3 minutes before close which probably was the real problem this person had with us. Bought $32 cake but will never return...

I came in tonight for a couple slices of cake. It was pretty busy and there was a line. One girl was working up front and she was doing a good job. She was making sure to get to everyone in a timely manner and keeping track of everyones placement in line. She was extremely polite and apologized for the wait. However, there were two other staff members who were in the back joking around. She asked them if one of them could help her but they ignored her until she finished with another customer. The other two staff members were not professional and were frankly rude. The front staff has always been very polite and respectful but I wasnt impressed with these two young people. The girl up front had some serious patience to be working with the staff members who refused to work.

Trish was amazing!! Me and my fiancé just met with her for our wedding cake. She was so patient and awesome. She worked around with our preference. The experience made our day and it eased a lot of the wedding planning stress. The taste of the samples were great and they offer every option for everyone. I totally recommend going there.

Went in to have a cake made for my sons first birthday and they wouldn’t help me. They said they will only take orders online but the website did not say that. Very disappointed with how rude they were considering I was standing in their store planning on spending money!

Trish and her team at Dessert Deli did an amazing job. We had a small cake to cut for our wedding and assorted pies for dessert. I explained what I had envisioned for the look of our wedding cake and it turned out exactly how we wanted, and was DELICIOUS! Not to mention our guests are still raving about the Peanut Butter Pie. You fully exceeded our expectations.

I was standing directly in front of the clerk and she leaned to both sides to look around me to ask who was next like I was invisible. Unbelievably rude. Maybe it was my exercise clothes after leaving the gym. This was after waiting 5 minutes for her to come out to the counter. This is not the first time someone there was rude. In general I pay for premium quality things but $8.50 for two scones......Never again.

I ordered the Yule log and picked it up on Christmas Eve for Christmas. It was beautiful and the frosting was good. Unfortunately the cake inside was dry and crumbly. Very disappointed for $62.

I was so looking forward to my Irish Carbomb cupcake. It was very dry with a fudgey glob in the middle that was too sweet to eat. On my previous visit I had a canoli cupcake that had the same glob in the middle. No more cupcakes from here for me.

Came here for a wedding consultation and everything was so delicious! We tried a gold cake with a mango puree and mango mousse, a gold cake with strawberry filling and a white cake with raspberry filling as well as the white buttercream, chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and red velvet with cream cheese filling and a cinnamon buttercream. Trish was exceptional and was very knowledgeable with designs. She took her time with us to make sure we got a design we wanted and stayed within our budget. She did not push the more expensive option on us and was so easy to work with. They put so much effort into their work and everything they make is delicious and so beautiful! Definitely recommend for wedding cakes and everything else!

One star is generous to this one time very good bakery. I have walked out of this business on several occasions lately because of staff being unhelpful and not willing to serve customer. They were not willing to cut a cake of the month that they clearly had space for in their case. I dont know if this business changed owners lately but I will no longer take my business there

If you want a custom cake this is the place. Ive tried other places and they cannot compete. Their cake decorator is an artist. I always get the most beautiful flawless cakes from here. Other highly regarded bakeries in the area, with comparable prices, are sloppy and careless. I thought I was just difficult to please but Ive never had problem with Dessert Deli. Their cakes are expensive but theyre the best at what they do.

I was told that the cakes are the best. It was O.K. The girls are very nice but the cake I had was not moist and the flavor was not rich.

The store is focused more on selling entire cakes than what I expected. The choices for sit-down deserts were quite limited. I had a slice of oreo cheesecake, my wife had a creamy chocolate desert. Without drinks, the bill was $14 & tax. Pricier than we expected, but the deserts were tasty.

Writing my first review: Had ordered two 1/2 sheet cakes for an event recently. The staff were extremely helpful and cooperative. Cakes were just awesome and everyone was singing praises about it. Definitely recommend.

Spent 110 dollars on a very disappointing cake. It completely fell apart as soon as we cut the first piece. It had nothing that stood out it honestly was the worst cake I have ever had. Wegmans and tops do a better job at a third of the price. I will never purchase a cake from here again.

For the third week in a row Ive gone to dessert deli only to be disappointed by the lack of selection and the terrible customer service. They used to be very accommodating and would offer to cut a cake that you want if they didnt have it already available. They would combine cakes in their case to make more space in order to cut something else for you. This is absolutely no longer the case as they have refused on several occasions to cut into another cake when there is room in their case. There has been one slice of cake taking up a spot in their case and in the past when they would combined to make room they have refused and will not accommodate you. I find this especially true when the 20 something Asian male is working. It was my experience last night that convinced me my review needed to be updated. There was a line of eight people waiting to be served around 6 PM. Their hours have changed and this is no longer theyre closing time as they close around nine or 10 PM. The first two customers asked for a cake to be cut for them and although visibly annoyed he cut the cake which was a mocha cake. We continue to wait in line behind another couple and with another couple behind us while to other employees went about their business ignoring the line. After about five minutes he got to the next people in line who also asked for something to be cut which he refused to do. As I stood in line with my husband it was obvious that they were not going to cut anything else but we decided to wait and ask and may we would be pleasantly surprised. While waiting over 10 minutes to be served, again while to other employees looked at us and then continue to go about their business, we talked to the couple behind us who were also disgusted with the level of customer service on their last three visits to Dessert Deli. Now my husband and I are usually willing to see if there something else that is already cut in the case however, The lemon cake, mango cake, strawberry cake, and the recently cut mocha cake all sounded terrible and would appeal to someone with very specific tastes. The cake that we asked to be cut was a chocolate cake or vanilla cake either of which we would have purchased had he agreed to cut either however he refused stating we are just going with what is in the case currently and we are not cutting anything new tonight which is the exact same thing he said to me two weeks prior again when they were still open for another four hours. The couple in front of us eventually agreed to find something else to purchase, again at 7 to 8 dollars a slice, not the thing that they had initially wanted to get. When they again refused to cut anything or move items to make more room in the case we left as did the couple behind us who incidentally wanted to purchase two slices of the same thing a couple in front of us wanted to purchase. This means that they wouldve sold half of the tart but again refused to. My husband and I eat very healthy throughout the week and go to dessert deli almost every Saturday for a sweet treat. They get a lot of business from us including birthday cakes that I purchased yearly. This time, Absolutely disgusted at the utter lack of customer service, or appreciation for that matter, we just walked out. The couple behind us also walked out. They didnt care at all. With the cost of their cakes and cookies we wouldve spent at least $40-$50 between the four of us, but apparently our business is not good enough for dessert deli anymore. I will give them one more shot as you can see from the review below they didnt used to be this way. But if this happens again I would rather never have a slice of cake again than give this business my money. I dont know if theyre under new management or if they just think theyre so important that people will continue to go to them no matter how they treat them... but I can assure you I will not. The only reason this is not one star is because their desserts are still delicious.

I had a cake from Dessert deli at a friends birthday recently (August 2014). I had high hopes because I had heard nothing but good things about their product but I was very disappointed. The frosting was so sugary it was virtually inedible and while the cake was moist, you couldnt taste it through the frosting. I had one bite and stopped eating.

We purchased our wedding cake from DD in 2003. The staff made me feel very special when I picked out the cake and sampled the awesome flavors they had. We used their book to design a beach themed cake for our beach weeding on Woodlawn Beach. It was beautiful and delicious (Neopolitan) that day and a year later on our first anniversary. After moving out of the area for a number of years we found ourselves back at DD for my in-laws 50th anniversary. The cake was reasonably priced and all of our requests for multiple flavors were accommodated. Throughout this time we have sampled many of the desserts - cheese cakes, tarts, cakes, cupcakes, pies and cookies and everything is always delicious and beautiful. The staff are patient and ALWAYS willing to help and describe everything in the case to help you make up your mind among the many difficult choices. We come back time and time and time again.
