Campus Tees in the Student Union next door has a better variety in my opinion, and all the blue hoodies were sold out in the regular sizes, I hope they restock before graduation!Update, they didn’t. Disappointing. :(

Guy employee was really nice and informative. Answered every question I had, probably about 20 to 30 and gave great service. Reason for 3 stars : You dont carry waterproof back packs; this buffalo in winter, and Im not spending 50+ dollars on one that isnt at least water resistant. Im not putting a laptop into a bag either that has no protection for the bottom of the bag. Sides yes. But in reality it should have more padding on the bottom.

Prices are high and the hours arent really student friendly.Added : Perhaps staying open until 8 would be more convenient for students, especially for those with afternoon or early evening classes. Im impressed that the bookstore owner asked this.

95% of things are cheaper somewhere else. Unless your professor ONLY has copies of their textbook here (and I doubt that), look somewhere else. The apparel is expensive, more than in Alumni or SU. The school supplies and electronics are pure ripoffs, dont give them your money.

Great book store. Very friendly and helpful staff. Free parking. Reasonable prices. Great place to get all your semester needs!

The bookstore will be able to provide you with a wide variety of goods if you get there in time to pick your materials. Obviously the materials are also set to a much higher price standard and it will be the only location to find the said goods. Lines are usually long at the beginning of the year but die down as the year progresses. Im general not a bad place just an expensive one.

Everything is overpriced!Do you need a textbook? You will find it much cheaper online.Do you need school supplies? You better go to another store and save money.Do you need UB apparel? You have other options on campus. This is the most expensive one.And as if this wasnt enough, most of the employees are very rude. They have a USPS office inside the store, but it only works few hours each day (very inconvenient!).

Great go to place for students on campus. The prices ar reasonable. If living off campus, youre better off buying stuffs from other place for cheap prices. The point of this store is providing convenience to people on campus.

People are so wonderful! This place is very organized.

Dirty. Overpriced. Their have various promos, promising to price match. This is a scam. They may price match and will give you the difference in a gift card... that youll never use. Staff dont know the merchandise and are rude.

Hours should be extended because not everyone can make it before 5 or 6. 8pm sounds more reasonable. And the exterior looks very mediocre for a big school like UB. You’d expect a Barnes and Noble type of bookstore on campus for the prices and quality that the school is pushing for.

I went to a retirement party at UB and the bookstore was selling hooded sweatshirts for only 20.00. Great price ed and great deal!

Never bought anything because its over priced. Didnt found blank letter size pages. But there are some stuffs that you can take a look at or buy eventually.

Part of the university at buffalo North campus this is more a gift store for the university than a book store in the conventional sense. Yes there are two or three rows of books but the most of the space is taken up by sports memorabilia and university sweat shirts caps mugs rings etc. There is a post office in the location which is convenient.

I enjoy bookstores in general. I liked looking around. Its great for college students, bc it has everything they might need in a pinch. Its also good for visitors to the campus. It has a section for entertainment that includes kids to adults. Its fairly small variety, but enough for the student if not able to go elsewhere and suitable for the occasional visitor.Now as far as college supplies and team support gear, its great. Theres a lot of different styles of shirts, jackets, ect. It also obviously carries all the text books and most of not all the main supplies needed.

Great place for UB merchandise. Hoodies, shirts/pants, collectibles, license plate frames etc. Friendly staff to help. Graduation gowns and university dresses are available by ordered and fitment.

Not that it is surprising, but everything is incredibly overpriced. You really dont need the book urgently enough to consider buying it here.Its pretty relaxing to spend a couple hours sitting in the armchairs reading though.

Its a university bookstore, so you know--expensive even for stuff like pens. Some staff is helpful, some is markedly not.

Alot of campus selections and very well organized. Price is ok and several people asked if I needed help.

If anyones reading this, avoid this place. They overcharge like hell, a book in Amazon is 30 USD, here thats 250 USD. Also sometimes when they say that used stuffs are out of stock they ate straight up lying.

Not a huge fan of this book store. I mean its okay if you need a book or hoodie urgently however youre better off buying in the mall or online because their prices are ridiculously high.

I tried to price match some textbooks that I found at a lower price at Amazon but the staff told me it has to be from Amazon directly, just dont get that point? Because this text I can buy from Amazon anyway.

Everything here is overpriced. Not just the books, but the folders, calculators, pens, etc. I think this store preys on vulnerable first-years who havent become accustomed to buying their textbooks online or from people on campus whove already taken the class. Ebay, Amazon, etc. have pretty much rendered this store obsolete a long time ago - just buy from them.

Unreasonably overpriced. It doesnt make sense how they compete when the other on-campus shops have lower prices for UB t-shirts, stationery, chocolates and appliances.A box fan will cost $26-$28 here when it is available for $16-$18 at another on-campus store. Same ratio for chocolates and notebooks.Only the gift-shop and post-office are reasonable.Prices are not updated on products and a UB license plate frame that had $12 as written price cost me $16 at checkout. I felt cheated. Same thing happened to my friend who bought a lab notebook with $13 listed that charged $16 at checkout.I cringe when I hear I need something for a class available only at the Bookstore as it burns a hole in my poor student pocket!

One of the better SUNY bookstores. Expect to see a bunch of useless expensive crap too, (Kate Spade 30 dollar pens? I think not!) but staff are helpful and theyre really good about keeping books in stock. There is UB brand EVERYTHING and its not always worth purchasing. But theres plenty of warm hoodies, blue and white t-shirts, and big coffee mugs to be purchased here.

I love the place, it has all the school merchandise and interesting stuff. But I just browse, I rarely buy, and you know why.

So, its gor everything a college kid needs, except they are VERY expensive. Like.. 25 dollars for a Camelback bottle with the name of UB. You can just buy a bottle online for less than 10 dollars and put a UB sticker on it. Save your money. Buy somewhere else if possible.

Ive reviewed UB North in the past. Not sure where that listing went though. So here we go again.UB was once one campus, many decades ago. Then, as NYS had more and more people going to college and university the school got bigger and bigger. They needed more space. So they found a parcel of land that was here in Amherst and started building on it. Now the business school, law school and lots of undergraduate housing is out here, nevermind the expected undergrad courses. The stadium is also out here, which has the Bulls playing, but also has had speakers like the Dali Lama.Its a campus that is constantly changing as they build more academic billings and graduate housing. UB has their own bus system that travels between the two campus. Sadly they dont have the subway to the North campus, but it was in the original plans. Maybe it will still come.UB is one of the top state universitys in both NYS and the country. Some 28,000 students and almost any major you can think of. Some competitive sports teams round it out. A unique student body association (one of two nationwide that are like it), adds to the flavor of the school.This campus is large and not as pretty as the South one, its all much newer, but its functional and pleasant. Although parking can be a challenge.

Its overpriced. The supplies are old too. I bought some rubber bands and each one is dry and has popped with slightest tug. Also, the refund policy sucks. Even with receipt, youll have to argue your way to get your money back on some things.
