36’ x 18’I REALLY hate to leave a 2-Star because it makes me feel like I was ripped off. Materials are top quality and for the most part all was great!. Until their guys left muddy handprints that I was PROMISED would be washed while it was in storage and before bing reinstalled, they weren’t. I had called numerous times and rarely hear back. I have brass grommets that were torn out, threads appear to be coming lose, all before the third season of use, there are tears from their installers, stripped bolts, WATER LEAKS ON YOUR HEAD, DIRECTLY OVER THE DOOR when it rains. I REALLY love the awning but DONT expect anything after it’s installed and the check is cashed (unless you are paying them more money). I thought hiring the most reputable would mean that I could have the same quality service every single year, but with the damages after such a short time and no one taking responsibility and stepping up to the plate, I am going to have to put my trust in someone other than Kohler. Brian was my salesman and I appreciated everything he has done but it’s not on him to stand behind the install and service quality- THAT is something as a company should never be compromised. I took the awning down at the end of the season because I lost all confidence in their quality. This was a huge investment that I feel fell far short of expectations.
We bought a five year old Kohler awning in perfect shape from a private seller and when we spoke with Kohler they came out to inspect it and said it will work with our roofline with a few modifications. We agreed to the price of all modifications and install . They sent the crew out to install it and the crew left after 20 minutes. When we called the salesman back We were told it may need more modifications and they would get back to me. Many weeks had passed with no communication even though I called him and left him messages- he ghosted me. Finally I called the company directly and was told they believe it was an impossible install and can do nothing more. Very disappointed and I don’t think they have the passion that they started out with years ago. Very rude.
What a rude and obnoxious staff! We went into the showroom and there were no less than five people that saw us walk in. Everyone seemed too busy to help a potential customer so we walked around a bit. Eventually some woman with a very annoyed tone barked out CAN WE HELP YOU WITH SOMETHING? and then summerarily dismissed us to so something else.You do one thing. You sell awnings. What do you think we walked into your showroom for? Did we look lost? Glad we dodged this place before we invested anything into our properties with them. If hate to have to deal with staff like that year after year. Ill find a smaller company that might actually appreciate working with our business.
I was very satisfied with the awning that was installed for my business, Bright Driving School. They were very professional with their work. Kohler awning took care of my city permit and designs. They were extremely friendly and helpful, and was it was a pleasure to work with them.Definitely the number one awning company in Buffalo!
Just had a brand new awning put up - on the 4th of July!! The whole experience was great and to have the guys out on a holiday, (especially before a really hot week), shows a real commitment to service which I have also experienced in the last 22 years the old awning was up. The guys were great, efficient, friendly and did a good job. I really liked the underside of the new awning. It is the same color as the outside (the old one was a pale, almost white, tiny pattern). Gives a much better look. Thank you! It is such a pleasure to have a totally positive experience with a business!!
I cannot say enough about my positive experience with Kohler. From April when I was given a quote to the installation of my awning I have been nothing but pleased with their service and honesty. Thank you to Matt and the guys for a great awning. I am very pleased. Would highly recommend them.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They have had our umbrella covering with them since October to fix the holes that were in the covering that they did. We asked for it in April thinking it would be done they came to set it up and still haven’t fixed the holes(and we already paid for the adjustments and covering) . They took it back to fix it and wouldn’t answer for weeks. We would email them call them do everything and they would just keep telling lies saying that they were gonna come this day, and once the day comes they don’t show up. We finally got the covering after months of begging and still had to put it up ourselves when their service is suppose to be the one to put it up. Considering the price I had to pay this business should be much better then this. If you are looking into this company for yourself I advise you to look somewhere else, because they will continue to tell you lies.

After dealing with KA and all their excuses and runaround as to why we still didnt have our awning up, we were lucky to find a great guy who did an excellent job with our install today. Highly recommend his response time, his communication skills and his work ethic!
Kohler Awnings measures up to what the commercial says. You have it made in the Shade. My porch was a victim of the March wind storm here in Buffalo.I trusted Kohler to do the job and I was amazed at how much better my house looked once the work was completed. When I bought my home 30 years it came with a Kohler Awning. I purchased my third awning this past Spring. In Buffalo, Kohler is the best place to get a canvas awning. I have chosen the Sunbrella fabric and have never been disappointed. Great people, great price, great service. Just hope I live long enough to order my fourth.
Pathetic customer service. Furloughed all employees for several months and never made any attempt to contact customers. Deserves less than one star.Perhaps Kohler bailed on making any attempts to help existing customers so that, by getting federal loan and furloughing their employees, theyd benefit no one but themselves. Perhaps not.Regardlesss, Kohlers actions makes one suspicious of their commitment to support existing customers.

Working with Kohler Awning representative Brian was a pleasure. He explained everything well. We had to adjust the measurements for the frame and they were accomodating. We visited the Kohler showroom and the service there was great. We selected our fabric. Within 2 weeks the workers came to put the frame in place. They were courteous and efficient. 10 days later our sewn to order awning was put on the frame. It looks beautiful and is a wonderful addition to our backyard! I totally recommend using Kohler Awning for your needs.
We purchased a Kohler Awning about 15 years ago. It has held up beautifully over the years. Still sturdy with not much fading. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a new awning.
Crooked company! Stay away! Their work is sloppy and destined to do damage, and their customer service is even worse! Wish there was a zero star option. The owners response is 100% wrong and a lie. All aspects of the awning were and are in perfect shape except for one side that had multiple slices in it that just magically occured from the time they took it down last year to store it, to the time they put it out this year. It was all on one side and all in the same location, which appears the damage occured when either taking it down or putting it on the truck. The awning showed 0 signs of wear last fall before being taken down and still shows no wear, it is sliced from damage, and even the original note Kohler left stated there was damage. The owner is lying and just doesnt want to be responsible for their sloppy work. They arent even willing to help repair the damaged side that has the slices, which is all we asked for. They refuse to negotiate out an amicable logical settlement. Save yourself the headaches and stay away from this so called company.

I have had to call them to fix the installation for the past 3 years. Not a problem they have always come out and fixed it. This year the women Liz I spoke to was extremely rude and I acted as if I was a huge inconvenience to her. I have called 3 times to get this fixed and it still leaks.Background: Kohler bought Awning Plus and the customer base. She uses this as an excuse every year. Maybe they should have thought about this when they bought Awning Plus. Hire a few people that have experience with those awnings if they are so different and difficult.I understand that things are going to happen. How you handle them is what determines your level of customer service. From now on I will be going elsewhere for my awning services and I will highly recommend NOT to use Kohler as their service is horrible. Way to go Liz!
I am extremely disappointed with our aluminum awning which was installed the day before Thanksgiving of last year (2017). The first thing that all of our guests comment on are the LONG (silver) lag screws that come through the roof and are clearly visible against the white I-beam. When I looked in the brochures, I did not see these screws in any of the photos, so I was shocked when they left and the screws were still visible.I am also disappointed because the roof leaks!! When we were sold this awning, we were told that we could always add windows and doors to make this a three-season room, but I dont see that happening because the rain runs down the side of the house where the awning meets the siding.Also, the gutter (that is supposed to carry the water away from the edge of our deck) leaks as well!!!We did contact Kohler Awning to have them come out to fix the issues, and they did come out, but unfortunately we still have leaks. The first repair crew caulked the gutter, but it still leaks near the downspout. The second repair crew came out and inspected the caulking near the house and told us that the original crew hadnt caulked it, so another man proceeded to caulk it. But it is still leaking!!I wish I had not agreed to have it installed the day before Thanksgiving, as I think it was hastily constructed and the issues are related to the quick installation.

KA takes down, stores and installs or awning. Every year we request the first half of May for installation. Never has this happened. This year we still dont have it. I am beyond frustrated!!
I came home from work this week and the awning that was re installed is beyond filthy. I would love to upload a picture to show it. The crew should have noticed how dirty it was and notified us that it could use cleaning and give us option to have that service. We did not store it as the previous owner did, but good customer service should have notified us as it is very apparent. We would have addressed it. I mean there are dirt growth on it.

We love our kohler awning! It does everything they promise.It allows us stay outside longer by keeping us cooler, extends our home by one more large room and provides shelter from the sun and rain.I was very impressed with time they put into making sure all the measurements were perfect.They measured, put the pipes up and came back to measure again.This is why Kohler Awning the best in the area!!
We have always had excellent service and quality from Kohler; we got our awning in 2011. Our salesman, Brad, to our installers each year have been outstanding and friendly. Recently, our awning ripped along the seam in bad weather. After contacting Kohler, they were out the very next day to see the problem, had called us back, and taken the awning down immediately to repair. Then, they put it back up at 4pm on Saturday - we were pleasantly surprised and we know where we will go when we need our next awning -- KOHLER! Thank you!

I never felt more dismissed and disrespected by a company in my life. A woman by the name of Michelle took my call on three seperate occasions. She was rude and difficult to work with.I am a first time home buyer and a disabled veteran. On the first call i described what i had awning wise and wasnt sure what i needed to do. She said i needed to get in contact with a sales man and scheduled one for 2 weeks out. Mind you she was dismissive with me most of the time and she was difficult to work with.On the second call I told her i found what appeared to be the awning fabric and i needed an install instead of a salesman. She started to argue with me on that subject. Then she hung up on me while i was asking a question.I became frustrated with her talking down to me like i needed her business. I told her i was no longer going to use kohler awning based on my interactions with her and hung up.Michelle calls me back to apologize and I told her not to call me again and i hung up.Ive never owned an awning before in my life nor did i purchase this one. It was the previous owners gift to me.
They never install at the time I request and blame me for not returning my card. I have the bottom half for your records . U cant get ahold of them & I dont even know if Im on the schedule
Pandemic or not, we schedule the first week every year to have awning put up. 4 weeks later since Kohler started putting awnings up again, STILL waiting. Cant get ahold of anyone there. Pretty bad!!!

I am a second generation Kohler Awning customer in Tonawanda, NY.Growing up my family had a Kohler Awning and screened in patio. I have many fond memories of daily use. Family get togethers, dinners, parties, sleeping outdoors, etc.Kohler Awning gave our family a comfortable seasonal bug free room to enjoy our yard from April thru October...As I now own my own home I too have a Screened in Kohler Awning which as with my youth has become the primary place for daily use for our entire family creating memories for my kids.The quality of the product and service we receive for the price is Outstanding. What a disaster this year with customer service. We have bought three awnings here over the last twenty years. This year there was a phone mixup with robo-call where everyone was called at 4:30 in the morning, while an accident I cant put a child back to sleep that quick. We have also received three calls Initiated from Kohler on when they were coming to install our awning and three times no show. They have no idea what is going on in the office and the response I received is I am just the messenger so who is in charge? So disappointed, we have put off having work done on our deck so their employees would not have to work around missing boards. I am so glad I was concerned about them when they clearly do not have the same concern back for their customers. So much for being a patron of local business.
Phoned for assistance 5 days ago, no return call yet. Guess everyone like them is overly busy

I loathe doing business with them twice a year (awning up and down).I have had several negative interactions with them but most recent was last week when my awning was put up for the season.Driver pulls into my driveway (unannounced but thats normal), I had just parked and was headed for the door...He pulls all the way up right to my garage (detached) and mumbles something at me out the window.I said what? He says comin or goin? (with a smirk like Im inconveniencing him.) I said coming but what I should have said was paying you 200 dollars for 15 minutes of work so park in the street.In the past they ripped my awning while installing it for the season and then the owner proceeded to tell me how they are very fragile after 9 years of service. Paper thin at this point lolSimply not true the fabric is in fine condition.If I had a new home I would light my arse on fire before giving kohler 5K+ for an awning. Not because the product is inferior but because the service is horrendous and you must deal with them twice a year until you move or die!
