I enjoyed my time staying in this shop. I purchased four used books and two figures. The price is reasonable and the service is gentle. Customers can use credit cards to pay.

This is a fabulous store. May was in the day we were there. May was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We found a real treasure at a reasonable price and we are so proud to have it. The store is very vintage with beautiful displays and eclectic inventory. I LOVE THIS PLACE.

Of the many times I have been here, I have had nothing but good experiences. I usually come here to gather postcards for my collection since they have one of the best selections in the area. The prices for the goods here are fair, and there is a wide selection of goods to peruse. All in all, Id recommend checking the store out.

I went to this store during my yearly round of vintage item-seeking, when I was in this store. I would not recommend. Stock doesn’t really get turned over here as much as many others in the area (I do a wide circuit of checking the stores) so you’re dealing with the picked over supply of everything. I’ve never felt so oddly watched while being in a store, it was very odd. It felt like I was inconveniencing the owner by simply being in the establishment.Prices are decent for some things, I just knock it out of the rotation because of a negative physical experience of being in the store.

I was really enjoying the old postcards and collection of books until coming across swastikas in one of the display cases. Wanted to warn others before they feel as uncomfortable as I did.

Interesting place with random nick nacks. They have a lot of music items (such as instruments and song books) if your into that. I like that he has books on a table throughout the year that you can just pick up and enjoy. I think they are random books ppl donate, but they are always in good condition. You can pick up a book for $1 which is great.

Super nice folks, lovely store with such an assortment of items. Honestly the perfect place to get a gift for an older relative or someone hard to shop for.I bought an old banjo there for about 200 dollars and got home only to have one of the tuning forks break ( the place were it screwed into the neck of the banjo was stripped) i was disappointed but when i returned to the shop and explained the problem i was given a full refund without hesitation and they apologized for the trouble and that they would take it down to allentown music to have it repaired. I cant speak to what others have experienced here but honestly it sounds super out of place. May and John are really nice folks and i wouldnt write this place off, its a fantastic store.

Im sorry to have to write these words but unfortunately I feel compelled to and to warn the public at large.I was verbally assaulted and confronted with the possibility of a physical assault as well. This I felt could happen.Apparently my crime was that I took too long to try out an acoustic guitar.I thought I had heard moments before something along the lines of what are you giving us a concert shouted from the front of the store but I thought to myself someone must be kidding as I continued putting the guitar thru its paces for a total of maybe 20 minutes.Im a musician for many years and I was playing peaceful acoustic music while being careful and respectful with the instrument as if it were mine.Little did I know that the owner was upset that I had ignored him and for spending too much time auditioning guitar. He came ripping around the corner screaming what are you doing give me that and tore the guitar out of hands.I was shocked to say the least and tried to explain that trying a guitar takes some time to no avail as he inches from my face and with some older lady yelled for me to leave, your not wanted here, youre wasting time. Two other ladies who appear to be friendlies to them were present. One said nothing while the other said leave, just leave. It seemed like they were complicit with what was happening.I mean I was getting roasted folks and I said as much along with the fact that I didnt understand why this anger towards a customer who was genuinely interested in purchasing the guitar and being a patron of their business. It wasnt until I reminded the owner (I believe his name is Mike) that I was in the shop a few weeks before with my son who bought a vintage saxophone to the tune of quite a few hundred dollars did he stop his tirade with his recognition of me and his horrible behavior. Now he was apologetic but the damage was done. He even had to quiet the older lady down who still wanted to berate me for no apparent reason. Its almost like they enjoy being mean for sport, folks.I would of understood if there was a time limit to audition an instrument and would of gladly surrendered it had I been asked to in some courteous and respectful way but no folks this went from 0 to 60 for no apparent reason.Ive taken the time to write this review for you all to know. If you take the time to read the other reviews where the patrons were being treated poorly you will notice a pattern of Dr.Jekyll/ Mr. Hyde that is consistent with my visit to the shop. Please enter cautiously or not at all.

I was walking down Allen and came across a man from this business verbally assaulting a homeless man who was sitting outside. Even after the homeless man moved down the street, the man continued to swear at him and needlessly humiliate him in front of everyone walking by. Extremely unprofessional and tasteless act in my opinion. People with no regard for human decency will not receive my business.

Ive been to this store a number of times, mostly to peruse the LPs and books and to enjoy the eye candy (lots of small unusual antiques or things I recall from my childhood). Its all fun. The owner and workers Ive interacted with were always courteous and professional and maybe more important to me: reasonable with their prices.I noticed a few reviews mentioned problems with the owner or workers. This is not my experience. Sometimes, as there are so many books and LPs, my visits have been for a couple of hours at time. Thus over time I have observed a fair number of people visit the shop. Everything seems to be AOK to me but I have observed several events where I suppose some on-the-edge people might interpret as being treated unprofessionally.Once someone was there with a maybe 5 yr old who the adult let wonder around unsupervised. Not a good move in that shop with all those neat colorful, but fragile items along narrow aisles that would attract a child. That was a bad accident waiting to happen. Someone eventually raised their voice to the adult. My interpretation of that was that adult baby sitter was out of line.Another time there was this interesting real old tall cabinet with glass front positioned near the LPs. If only I had a use for it! Although there was a sign on it saying something like Fragile do not touch - please ask for help a shopper came along and opened the glass front thing. Someone, maybe it was the owner, said something sarcastic to that person. I can understand that.Another time I was on a roll finding some records Ive wanted. Maybe it was due to the weather or that it was the weekend as several people came in trying to sell things to the owner while I was there. There were issues with a couple of those people. One seemed to push the owner to buy items he didnt want. The pitch was something like these things are valuable and Ill sell real cheap. Dont know if the items were junk or what but the owner was not interested. But the seller was pushy, would not take a no and continued being pushy. Eventually the owner did raise his voice in an emphatic way of saying my no means no. Maybe I would have done differently and maybe not, whatever, I didnt see it as the owner being discourteous.Another seller caught my attention as he wanted to sell a bunch of LPs. And another case where the seller would not take no for an answer. I noticed some of the LPs and they were the trash I see at thrift stores that never sell. The end result with that person was similar to the previously mentioned seller. Did that insult the seller--who knows!

Just saw the owner screaming at a homeless man for sitting on a stoop a half a block away from the business. Have previously overheard the owner make racist remarks to a friend of his while I was browsing the shop.
