John went above and beyond to try and help me. I didnt plan ahead when getting some boat work done but he spent time calling places to find what I needed. Will definitely be going to him for future boat work. Knowledgable and willing to help even when it didnt mean he made a lot of profit. Many thanks. FYI John, I did find some product that worked.

Worst boat mechanic I’ve ever been to Condescending, rude, unprofessional. Took my boat in to get diagnosed for a issue. We decided not to pursue fixing it because it being a major repair and cost. Picked my boat up from their shop. When I got home i took the engine cover off to look at it and my cylinder head and electronics were completely torn apart. John didn’t put anything back together. The bolts had bounced under my engine block while trailering Home and I had to fish them out with a mirror and tweezers. Last time I checked a mechanic is supposed to leave his work the way they found it. Heck I would have even paid another hour of labor for him to put it all back together. Instead of me doing it in my driveway for many hours. I called him to figure it out and resolve the issue but John the owner hung up on me and told me that’s not how boat mechanics operate. Will never go back or recommend anyone to his shop.

I needed a motor replaced due to it cracking during the winter. The bottom line is, the work did eventually get done and everything seems to be fine now. That is why this is two stars instead of one.Unfortunately, but timeframe for the work to get done was a few weeks longer than originally quoted, and the total cost was more than originally quoted. Also, once I got the boat back, the first time I took it out it wasnt running well, and I saw it was leaking oil everywhere. I had to bring the boat back for another few days. I then had trouble again the next time I went out, and called John and he was about to leave the shop and we lost connection and he never returned my calls after that - even though at that moment he knew I was in the middle of the lake and my boat wouldnt start. Luckily for me I was able to get things running again and get this fixed myself. Unfortunately this ended up being an overall awful experience and I would definitely not recommend using United Boats.

I have taken my boat to John 4 times now and it runs worse than it did over $1,000 ago and four trips ago I told him I wanted to take it elsewhere he said bring it back he lost my strap and wouldnt answer phone or be there when I picked it up he had it forever and his answer is basically to bad for me

Website states for all your boating needs. But when you call, they state that they do not service anything but American-made products. Might think about updating the w website.
