This place offer the best African food in Brooklyn park. I love the Egusi soup, Potato greens and their grilled meat. They have a wide selection of food and they are always fresh and delicious. The staff is very friendly too

The staff not friendly to African American people. Only the men are. The two lady’s are rude until the point I stopped coming here. The lady with the fake hair preparing dish purposely serves bones to you and no soup! I’ve been going here some time now after I converted, she’s always been a problem to customers of all actually but definitely to the African American people . You speak to her and she knows English but instead decides to speak in a language of no understanding, when confronted, and gets upset at you for not wanting bones ?! For the black people or anyone tired of these rude ladies, go to African Bristo or nice African family ( If they re open ) great service there and good food
Unprofessional! Nobody washing their hands. To many people walking around behind the food counter! They run out of food. They serve people who are not in line before you. Do not pay attention to your order requests. Just out of order on every level! The food is good thou. But who wants to be worrying about the germs in it when they’re eating!? All they need to do is get some professionalism about theirselves wash their hands and keep people from walking around their food! And this would be a fantastic place to eat.
Compared to the early 2000s, this area has transformed & is continuously improving for its customers. I typically stop by there with a family member to do their groceries shopping once the supplies of food at home is low but on other occasions, Im there to get something to eat or share from the African Restaurant in the back...The take-outs 🍲 are always plentiful for me with enough to choose from so thanks to the staff working the restaurant...My only two cents; the staffs could use extra hands on deck at foods dispensing area, with enough customers waiting in line to get on with life but not possible because staffs are overwhelmed by waiting customers at times I have been there.

If you love good food but bad employees, this is for you. The Deli is in the back with the most unprofessional women workers ever. I asked this lady to grab me a ginger beer that was behind her in the fridge, everyone saw the beer except her.. she purposely acted like she didnt see it so I did her job for her..
This is a good location to get items to prepare most African meals. If they were more efficient in their checkout process I would have given them five stars.

Friendly staff. My only complaint is that the food is too spicy. My wife loves the food but complained always about the spicy nature of the food. Please have less spicy dishes for those who can’t handle it.
The food is too spicy. Is like the cooks have no limit for pepper which made it very different to eat. The management should consider significantly reducing the spiciness. Is u healthy for certain people too.

I got poor experience from the kitchen. So I bought this rice and meat they sell only to go home and find out they serve me food with no meat after paying in full😡😡. This is very bad habits. Don’t order from this place unless you pick it up. They sent me the wrong order twice and when I tried to get a refund they wouldn’t answer the phone. They’re so unprofessional. Just stick to African deli if you are considering this place.

I had worst experience with their customer service. they need to train their employees better about using the doordash or Grub hub account. one time they messed up my whole order and I was still willing to give them second chance and they messed even more. they charged me and didnt even deliver the food and worst part is they didnt even refund the amount. never gonna try again ever due to their poor customer service.

I told the cashier that there is a mouse in one of the produce box and he didnt seem surprised with the revelation. So, that is a big deal with me and it should be for obvious reasons, thats why I took away 2 stars. Despite this downfall, it doesnt deters me from purchasing pompano here. Sometimes they have the best deal in a 50 mile radius. In order for them to earn my 5 star rating is to hire an exterminator so they could be up to par with health code.

I stood in line for about 15 minutes waiting for my order to be taken, when it was my turn the young girl who was supposed to take my order started interacting with the customer behind me asking him what he wanted ignoring me, I believe they knew each other, I simply walked out.

This place 👌. My go to spot, preferred spot... The food is on point, delicious. The ladies who are busy making it and assisting the customers are good to the people too. As someone else said, the mince pie is a meal on its own.

The food was amazing. I literally went there to pick up food for my friend and they let me try some and once I did, I just had to go back for my own plate. They serve you a very large portion of food, which is just the cherry on top. Im actually upset that I underestimated this place a while back; Ive been missing out. The level of hospitality of the owner and employees was absolutely outstanding! I was just passing through on a long road trip and treated myself to some of the BEST LAMB AFRA ever and stocked up on some goods that are so hard to find. This place is a winner. Looking forward to visiting again.
The only issue I have with this establishment is time management. I have been there on multiple occasions and have consistently been delayed at check out for one reason or the other. Everytime!!!The staff is friendly and the food is good but please improve the check out experience
The food is excellent and mostly the workers over there are very friendly and courteous. I like lamine, the cashier of the restaurant. Always smiling and making you feel exceptional. The markets owner is also very friendly and customer centered. I will 100% recommend this place.

They had great pepper soup but the order is chaotic in the there.. I waited at the register for over 15mins with lil grocery while they did money tranfers instead of just ring me up.. There are rats all over the store and back area where the food is prepared. The food taste good and the people are nice, but I had diarreha for days after I ate it. Also inside is very dirty!!!

Consider this, today June 13, 2017, after work, the height of rush hour, I drove for 2 hours thru mind numbing traffic, just to have the lamb. AND IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT!!The onions, the spices, the succulent juicy chunks of lamb, I luuuv this dish!
