We were looking for a new crossover/SUV. Curt Johnson and Dave Warner showed us the options in the entire GMC line and we drove several. We settled on the Buick Envision and then they carefully listened to the features we wanted and explained the features of each Envision model. They looked for the car we wanted and found the exact one in the midst of a very tight supply situation. In fact, they had to trade cars with another dealer to get the right Envision for us. But they did it in short order and then they took the time to give us lots of help understanding all the features. The Envision is loaded with advanced electronics so that is very important these days! I should also mentioned they gave us a good explanation of the lease vs. purchase options and I think we ended up with the best choice for us saving us a lot of money, and an all-around good deal in todays market.
I was looking for the Chevy Trailblazer and was calling about the availability of ine at the dealership. Orlando suggested that I take a look at the Buick Encore GX. I looked up the vehicle online and decided to take a look at the vehicle first hand. Orlando was very helpful and I ended up purchasing the Encore GX. If it was never suggested by Orlando I would have been looking around for a Trailblazer and would have settled for something I wouldn’t have been happy with in the long run. The Encore GX is an excellent small SUV.
Dani & Scott were absolutely fantastic! I’ve never purchased a car from a dealer before & was so nervous going into it. From start to finish I felt like they really cared about making sure I knew everything going on. They didn’t try to upsell me on anything or push me into anything, just laid out all the options and answered every question I had. Luther Brookdale Chevy- I experienced very unprofessional service from almost everyone who helped me during my 6 day long service appointment. I called ahead of time to ensure my needed part would be shipped and at the location before my appointment and was told it was ordered and would be ready. Come my appoint multiple days later I was told the part had not yet been ordered despite being told it would be there days ago. I asked multiple times for people to check if it was covered under my extended warranty. When I asked while being checked in, the service man was extremely unprofessional- I had to tell him multiple times I wanted it checked and he was clearly annoyed. Two of the 6 days my car was at the dealership I didnt get any kind update. When my car was ready to be picked up I missed the call and was not left a voicemail. I know that that is silly to be mad about but after not having my car for 6 days and having no kind of communication about it two days previously, a message should have been left. After all of that, I picked up my car and got home only to find that a part of the cars detailing was broken off. Nothing was mentioned to me in the service notes or in person when picking up the car. The least that could have been was to let me know it was broken while in Luthers care. I am extremely annoyed that I had to basically fight for my warranty to be checked. Im glad I did because it saved me almost $1300. I will never use this company again and tell everyone I get the chance to about the horrible service I experienced.
Bought a Certified Pre-Owned Denali from here. Was short on time so they didnt get to detail it how they wanted to before I left. Went back 2 days later to get it fully detailed and it came out worse then it went in. They never did the inside at all, water spots and wax on it and the rims still had brake dust on all four. Tonneau cover was dusty still. Better off saving your own time and theirs and just pay someone to detail your vehicle if you want it looking nice. Salesman also didnt know a whole lot about the vehicle and had to keep asking other coworkers about questions I had.
I dont know where to begin but here it goes. We usually take our Buick car for checkins to this place for services. So we took the car because our AC system wasnt ventilating the car and they suggested that the whole AC be replaced to get picked up next day. we did same went back to pick and they told us to wait after agreed pick up time about an hour or so they gave us and the car on the way home started shaking in freeway. my husband took it back before getting back home they said wait another hour said they fixed it and when it came home there was missing items from parts of the car on passenger seat side. Let me tell you for replacing the AC and rotating the tires they charged us $1600. The car had no other issues what so ever and they confirmed that when they received it for service. So next day we took it to ask about missing parts and some misplaced covering on passenger side they tried to look for it and even suggest if we are sure. finally they said they will replace and send it after my husband expressed his concern about the lost hours and unprofessional services received. wait, the drama didnt end. On the way home all kinds of lights began to show up- the air bag alert, motor, and battery lights on which we have never saw on this car. long story short before the husband gets home the car broke down and stopped. on a heat weather he couldnt even get to open the car. just when he was out of a freeway the car just stopped. The car again needed to be towed and taken back to the dealership for another fix or another playing with parts and car. What kind of business are they running? for the amount of money we didnt expected this type of customer handling, unprofessional services and not to mention the waste of time, energy and money. such a disappointment and I wouldnt recommend this place for any services theyre sure is a lack of skill and lack of regard and respect for customers time, money and energy!

I value GMC and have been a GMC Denali owner for the past 11yrs now but this by far was the worst experience I have ever dealt with coming to the dealership for vehicle service.Concerns and issues I had:-Being overcharged ( A manager from another department assisted me as my consultant left for the day; pulled my service log and found several indiscretions on what I was being charged for)-having a service tech start my repair process and then leave on vacation (causing a delay to wait for a different tech that could continue my service)-unprofessionalism dealing with assigned consultant, only concern was stating facts of price/costs. Even after the request from myself was made on how to proceed with the service, was given an opinionated response. I was very displeased and frustrated with the service received from her; brought me to the point where I came to pick up my vehicle to bring to another non GMC dealership.
Thomas was an unexpected delight to work with. He has excellent communication-- hes honest, direct, and truly dedicated to providing stellar service. His approach to helping resolve our issue was refreshing!

I brought my 2012 GMC Terrain in for an oil change and for repair of leaks inside the vehicle, on the passenger side, coming from the sunroof. I was told that the drain tube was removed and completely cleaned out and that should correct the problem.Today, I ran it through Paradise Car Wash in Maple Grove to make sure that there was no leakage. Well, I have water coming in to the inside roof behind the visor, above the handle used to assist in exiting the vehicle and down the panel by the front of the door.This could not have been tested or this problem would have been immediately apparent. This is particularly true if it had been tested in the car wash.I have scheduled an appointment for this Monday, March 15th for a Transmission Flush and Fill, a Brake Fluid Flush and Fill and Servicing of the All Wheel Drive Differential.Davy WeaverI will bring this to the attention of the Service Technician. I certainly hope this issue can be resolved to my satisfaction as I understand that I will be receiving a Survey from GM regarding my experience. Alan was great. It was found that I needed work I was not anticipating. He gave many 3 options which I appreciated. I also appreciated that he was not the typical high pressure dealership kind of guy! I recently moved north of the cities and was looking for another GMC dealership to get services done. I tried on other and quite frankly they were indifferent towards me and had a poor waiting area. On the other hand I appreciated Alan and Luther had a nice area to wait and be able to get online on do work while I waited. I will be back and also will be in the market for a new GMC Denali 1500 next Spring.
Work is barely acceptable. Have had same issue with tire sensors that they fix each time but stops working after 24hrs. Always prepared to recommend further work but never quite know what work needs to be done causing excessive diagnostic fees. When you attempt to reason with them they simply tell you its a flat required charge even though you will be getting work done with them.They are a true nickel and dime shop. I have had all work and services done in my car at this location and still treat you like a random guy off the street and try to get as much money as they can from you. Truly a disappointment and will not be doing anymore work here on any of my or my family cars. Between my household and my parents and sister we get 7 different cars serviced here all the time but now we will all be going elsewhere!

What was planned to be a quick trip into dealership to purchase a new gmc, turned into a long day. we agreed on purchase price fairly quickly, but had trouble trying to redeem gm reward earnings. after an hour plus delay, we ended up going for lunch to kill some time. being from out of state, then delayed the business office trying to calculate tax and registration fees. when finely getting ready to leave, we noticed the backup camera was not working properly. another hour of having several people try to fix it, we were directed to the service department. they were of no help either, and we left with a new vehicle, in need of service, about 3 or 4 hours later then what i had hoped. not the greatest, of first impressions. we now have to wait a week to get in to the service department at the dealer close to our home.

The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced! 3 SCHEDULED oil changes and each time it gets worse.Experience #1: Went in for my SCHEDULED oil change appointment and was told it would be an hour wait, no big deal. 2.5 hours later I leave with my truck with no apology for the extra wait.Experience #2: Went in for my SCHEDULED oil change appointment and again was told it would be an hour wait. This time I wait 4 hours and I was told that they were sorry that they got so behind. They gave me a free oil change for the inconvenience to use on my next oil change. I was like ok they are trying to make it right, things happen.Experience #3: Went in for my SCHEDULED oil appointment but this time they told me it would be at least 2 hours as the oil change department is behind. I was quite frustrated at this point as I had SCHEDULED a time to do a simple oil change and I have to wait again. I go to the desk to walk through what they are going to do and the worker tells me the price. I said well I should have a free oil change.. She let me know that those expire and I dont have one on file. Do you expect your customers to get an oil change before it is due?! 3 horrible experiences just for an oil change. Im not sure how this service department stays busy if all my experiences have been this poor. If a customer scheduled something they should be your priority.

First, allow me to say that, between us, my husband and I have bought 18 NEW vehicles in the past 21 years. We have experience in new car buying! Wed already driven a Buick Enclave Avenir and knew it was the car we wanted; however, the dealerships nearest us didnt have the color/package we preferred. Several dealerships in the Minneapolis area did so, in advance, we made an appointment at Luther Brookdale Buick telling them in advance that we were coming to look at that specific vehicle. We fully expected to have a knowledgeable salesperson waiting for us with this particular car ready to go for a test drive. This did NOT happen. The salesperson (the man who made our initial appointment) was absolutely clueless. He did not have the car ready. He knew NOTHING about the vehicles equipment or features. He didnt even seem to know where to go when we went for a test drive and, in fact, seemed hesitant to even get in the car with us. In the office, he struggled to operate the computer system. When it became apparent that his manager knew he was incompetent, the manager failed to step in and/or provide us with a salesperson who knew what they were doing. (At the very least, they could have had someone work in tandem with this poor guy who was clearly struggling.) After HOURS (5+) of this ineptitude, wed finally come to an agreement on price. While waiting, the manager returned to tell us that we had to either use their lenders OR we couldnt take the car home. (We were 3.5 hours from home and did NOT intend to make another return trip.) Wed been pre-approved by our credit union with an interest rate under 2% - but for some reason, this dealership didnt have an agreement with our lender, so basically forced us to use one of their lenders - or go home empty-handed. Oh, we nearly did. This felt like such a scam! But, wed already put in 5 hours and just wanted to be done and gone (It was too late to go to one of the other dealerships in Minneapolis that had this car as theyd wasted so much of our time). We ended up using their financer (and promptly refinanced when we got home, even though that cost us extra money to do so - it was worth it). The only reason they made a sale that day was because WE came in knowledgeable, knowing what we wanted. If we had not, there is no way we would have tolerated the salesperson nor the shoddy service we received. We finally left near sunset, with no instruction on how to use any of the special features (of which, this car has many) - fortunately, we are fairly tech-savvy so avoided the pain of dealing with our salespersons ineptitude yet again. (Because, yes, the manager sent him out with us to show us how to pair our phones! He couldnt have done this to save his life. I should have a nickel for each time he mentioned needing a teenager to help him with something.) We will NOT return to this dealership, nor will we recommend them to anyone.

Casie is awesome! I needed brakes when I was in the shop in February, but it wasnt in the budget.On Friday, 3/18, my brakes were grinding metal on metal and sounded awful! I called Casie on my way home and was able to get off on the exit, take my truck in and had all brakes and a couple of needed flushes done in about 4 hours. AWESOME!!! Thank you, Casie!!
We bought a new 2018 GMC Terrain from Luther, and the sales and service experience to date has been world class. The terrain has been problematic, requiring numerous fixes that we wouldn’t have expected a new vehicle to have, but the professionalism we’ve experienced throughout has been incredible. We are purchasing a 2021 Wrangler from a Luther dealership tomorrow! We are a Luther fan, for sure!

We brought an older vehicle in for a recall. The whole process from scheduling to completed work was smooth. Good communication, clean environment, friendly service, and good safety precautions during this pandemic.
I got the undercoating full package last year. with less tahn 10,000 miles there is rust all over the frame of the truck. employees of Luther chevy showed little concern for my problem, and left it completely up to me to pursue warranty. Will not ever purchase from this dealership again. I filed a claim with warranty company, was told I would hear from them in 2 business days. $ business days later, still waiting. I called warranty company yesterday. My claims rep is out of office, with no known date of return. Shame on all involved, or those who chose not to be. Greg Irber. With all rust issues, and the lack of concern on your part, I wish I never bought my GMC Sierra from you.
All was good but I had to wait to have my car washed. Brookdale Honda washes the car without being asked and its ready when you pick up. GMC should do the same, otherwise keep up good job. Very friendly and knowledge able staff and an excellent service was provide. Thanks again

I am a retired car dealer and I am totally Impressed with the entire staff and the buying process. The sales rep Cory Ramsey was a pleasure to work with, and the Sales manager Scott Larsen took the time to explain all the numbers to me. I live about 80 miles away, and was so Impressed with the way they handled me when I purchased my 2020 Sierra SLT 2 months ago, that I came back last week to buy a 2021 Canyon Denali. One other person that helped me out was the Accessory girl, Terri Anderson. Both of the trucks I bought had multiple after market parts to be installed, and she made it easy and fast as I have to wait due to the distance I have to drive. 5 STARS all the way around.
I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment last Saturday. I planned for an all day affair that really ended about 1 pm. Have to admit this is the quickest I ever bought a car. I called Orlando inquiring about a couple cars and when I got there he was ready and waiting. Upon closing the deal Orlando sat in the car with me and showed me features, and services my new car has to offer. He really showed me an A+ experience. He listened to what I wanted and did just the he did not persuade into something else. Ted in finance was also nice. I stepped into his office told him what my budget was and he made it happen even after they wanted a $2000 down payment which I didnt have Ted went to work for me and got my down payment down to $500. From the front to the back of the house it was a wonderful car buying experience.

Your service writers continue to prove to me that they’re the worst in the industry. My vehicle was determined to need a significant amount of work l, $7500. When I opted not to have anything done since the vehicle has a sell value of $1200, I was encouraged by the writer to at least get my oxygen sensor (downstream) replaced while he had the vehicle. That was the worst recommendation he could possibly make, given the vehicle has repairs needed that are safety related and the that the oxygen sensor would not have offered me any benefit while having a vehicle otherwise extremely unsafe to operate. Please stop the madness! Chasing the dollar and putting people’s lives in harms way is no way to operate a business.

The oil change was fine but there was another issue that the dealership was taking care of, but I needed to get to an appointment so they called me a Lyft there and back. Was very kind of them to provide that service to me.
I needed some special diagnostic done on my GMC Canyon regarding rear camera issue. My vehicle was diagnosed and repaired in a timely fashion. I would return here for more work if the need arises.
The staff were very knowledgeable and quick to service and the wait time was not long.
More transparent approach and well communicated. The tire rates and service fee could have been better, a single tire was priced $178 and with installation it cost me $250 for one tire. The market price is $140. Thats the only concern when you do everything in dealership.

Horrible experience in Service today. I brought my truck in last night so they could get a jump on my service appointment at 7 am today. I was very transparent about the need to get on the road by 4 o’clock today. Every guarantee that they’d jump on it first thing. They didn’t. The first actually communication about working being done on my truck was at noonish. They misdiagnosed one problem. Installed a part that I didn’t need. The second part, which was a pain to convince them to get and install today, was installed. I was then told, that didn’t fix the problem. I proceeded to get a ride to the dealership. Get there, service department tells me the problem was a programming issue. Meanwhile, they’re skirting my questions, charged me for both parts and labor. When we all know they could have reprogrammed the original parts without the install of the new parts. I feel cheated and scammed. They were unwilling to negotiate on price. I would recommend anyone and everyone choose a different dealer to take your vehicles to. Didn’t leave the dealership till 6:30pm. Disgusted!

My experience was horrible. Had a gas leak took my truck in for service. Service Advisor said the tech can replace the fuel line and should be done later that afternoon. Got a text from service advisor that my truck was all ready. Got off work went and pick up my truck got home and still notice gas smell look underneath and notice gas was still leaking call the service advisor right away he didnt pick up left voice mail and he didnt call back. The next morning text him and later that afternoon he finally replied back saying the tech couldnt fix it. Itll be nice to know that before picking up the car instand of texting your car is all ready it shouldve been sorry we couldnt get it fix.
Nick kept me informed about what was on and I really appreciated the attention to detail mad his professionalism.

He was pleasant, kept me informed of the status of my vehicle and was not pushy in trying to get sell me additional options. He ordered Lyft services to and from my home which worked very well. He was by far the best person at that dealership who has ever helped me!! Great asset to the company.
It was without a glitch. Dropped off the car Sunday for a Monday morning appointment. Knew the problem by 10. Car was ready for pickup mid afternoon. Went very well.

My appointment was for 9:30 am. I was there on time and got checked in. They said about an hour it should be ready and asked if I wanted a wash. I said yes. I was in the lounge on my iPad. About 11:45, after hearing nothing, I went back into the service area. My truck was ready, had been ready for a while. They said they called me twice, the call was picked up and then died. There was no indication on my phone about an incoming call? Other people waiting had people come and tel them their vehicles were ready. Other than that, everything was done according to plan. I am satisfied, next time, maybe they cold come and check. No reason for me not to return. If I was told it was done earlier, I wold have been at home on the iPad.

Had a defect in the rear defrost that caused smoke and caused the glass to shatter; I recently purchased the vehicle from the dealership within the last few months and it was Certified Pre-owned. When talking to the service advisor, they were very pessimistic that it would be covered even though it was a defect and known issue with other GMCs. In fact, in Canada there was a recall for this issue. For some reason, there is none in the US... but when I brought it up, I was told that the fix was already done on the vehicle, which in fact was not done and not in the car fax. Ultimately they did find it was a defect and was told that GM did not want to cover it, but they were able to get their warranty manager to cover it like they were doing me a favor on something faulty on a truck that could have caused a fire or injury if I had my kid in the backseat when the glass exploded. Ultimately though, I was thankful that it was covered, but I did not feel like things were transparent.

Service department is terrible. Brought my car in 4 times only to come back later in the day to find out they never touched it. Now they wont return my calls.Go anywhere else!
Took my truck in for an oil change and to check out a rattle noise in the dash. Made an appointment for this. Once I got there they told me there were no technicians available so they couldn’t look into my rattle. The truck is one year old and purchased from this dealership. It should not rattle. I then waited 2 hours for my scheduled oil change and finally went back to the service desk to ask for the status of my oil change and they said they forgot about my truck. So after my 2 hour wait they got it in for an oil change. I specially made an appointment and drove 75 miles to this dealership because I purchased my truck there. I was extremely disappointed about the lack of service.

1 1/2 hour for a oil change, and then you tell me they all went to a meeting and it will be longer, also grease left on my sun visor, probably while putting the sticker in my window.
