Martin was super helpful. We brought in a used gaming PC that would not work. Martin made a diagnosis and gave us a free estimate. He then worked through a holiday weekend to re-wire it and got it fixed at a reasonable price in less than 2 days! Then he even helped us troubleshoot over the phone for free when we had a few more questions after we got home.Cannot recommend highly enough, we will definitely use Wang PC for future computer needs. Amazing experience! The people at the shop know what they are doing and are kind and responsive. I called them to make an appointment around noon and they were able to take my broken machine immediately. They provided a quote for repair next morning and the machine is repaired in two days. What I like the most about the shop is how kind they are. Broken computer can be quite frustrating and the interaction with them somehow felt...calming? I asked for some time to think before making a decision to repair and they did not rush my decision or oversell their service. They were also cool about rescheduling when I missed my initial pick up appointment. Definitely would recommend to any one who needs computer repair service.

I hired the Wang PC computer service to upgrade my OS to Windows 10 and to replace an old monitor and printer. I found him to be very reasonably priced. Even more important, his work was meticulous and of the highest quality. He added an SSD to my system which made it much faster. In addition, after performing the work, he inquired as to wether I had any further problems. Hence, I highly recommend him to anyone with personal computer problems or upgrade issues.

The man is a pro. Fixed my laptop in a day, super reasonable price, and he was patient and friendly while telling a computer illiterate (me) what the issue was. On top of that, he threw in a free charger (my laptop is a rare model and I bought my charger in Europe (Ive had to use an adapter for the last two years)). Really excellent service. Amazing team! Certain keys on my laptop werent working, making me unable to do work for grad school. Until today I just realized this loser switched my 980m to 860m without telling me anything. He told me the motherboard was broken and I just found that the motherboard never been changed since the sn is still the same. It has been too many years and I just want you guys know. Stay away with this loser!

I would wholeheartedly recommend WangPC, as have many others here (despite some of the negative reviews I see, which have been completely unlike my experiences). This is my second time working with Martin (last time he was a great help too!). We brought in an Asus chromebook which was having some charging issues. Initially was told chromebooks are generally not worth the cost of repair, so we appreciated that honest advice up front, but then he did assess it further and saw it was a higher end chromebook, and therefore could be worth trying to fix. Initially thought was just a relatively simple charging port issue, so we decided to go ahead with it, but after he replaced the broken port, he saw that the issues affected other parts including the motherboard, and at this point the additional repairs would be about the original cost of the device, so we decided not to go forward. So I asked him how much I owe, since he did the initial repairwork, but he told me not to worry about it and did not charge me anything! I hope I do not make others feel that this should be expected if they find themselves in a similar situation, as I would have gladly paid for the time effort he had already put in, but my point is that I have found Martin to be very honest and more than fair, so I hope you would also feel good about giving WangPC a try.

Expensive, careless ( they dont care to hear from you about your own device that you brought it to them.) My device needed a screen and hinges. It is a Samsung laptop that cost me $199.00 couple years ago on a black Friday deal. They asked for $350.00 in other words ( we dont need your business) They seem work for the rich who dont care how much it would cost them! I called Ryan to explain all that and he even didnt bother to listen and explain!!!! In Weymouth they offered me $160 to fix it. I wouldnt go there at all. It was my first and last time. I gave two stars because the guy who called me was nice. Even find a parking spot can be very difficult. Very bad experience.

After purchasing a PC online and waiting a month, I found out that it wouldn’t boot. I spent 3 days trying to figure out what was going on. I reached out to the pc maker and they agreed to send a new m.2 ssd and windows install. However, they sent me only a new windows install. So I went and bought a new m.2 only to discover it didn’t fix the issue. I took my pc to micro center and they wanted it for 5 days for diagnosis. Not wanting to wait that long, I called Martin and he said bring it in! Mind you this was a Saturday at like 2pm. I brought my pc in and Martin was able to diagnose it very quickly that it was the GPU causing the issue. Martin also installed windows for me and diagnosed it all for FREE. Which is unheard of these days. I highly recommend WangPc for diagnosis and repairs. Thanks again, Martin! After getting a new GPU from the company my pc finally works.

My laptops hard drive crashed on me in the middle of an important work assignment on a Sunday afternoon and when I called Martin, he was very helpful, he had my laptop fixed in about an hour and I was back to working on the assignment. It was excellent service, I recommend him 100%.

The owner was rude. Was more interested in taking your money than providing a good service. Didnt make me comfortable or welcome me when I arrived. He was always in a rush and didnt want to spend time talking to customers what they needed or appreciate customers coming to him. He doesnt sensitize laptops after working on them during pandemic.

Wang PC is one of the best customer service experiences Ive ever had! They replaced my computer screen after a drop in September, beating all the competitors pricing to begin with. Speedy fix with great results. In January, the touch screen stopped working again due to an issue with the cable (through no fault of theirs, just bad luck). Not only did they provide me with free labor (many hours) outside the 3 month warranty, they split the cost of the replacement parts. If you ever need your computer or phone fixed, this is the place to go!!

Laptop fried due to a massive ESD event, and they examined it free of charge. Very customer service oriented. The only thing Id note is that their Newton location is really just the owners home. He will allow you to pickup your stuff from his home office, which is some dedication to the job.

I brought my laptop which had become unusable to WangPC for diagnosis and repair. The owner Martin worked on my laptop for 2 hours and did an excellent job getting rid of viruses. When I got home that evening, I had a separate problem with my Bluetooth mouse which had not left with him. So I called Martin that evening and he dialed into my laptop right away and spent another half an hour checking my laptop. He finally determined that my mouse was defective. I then replaced my mouse and the laptop now works great with the new mouse. Martin really knows his stuff and I plan to use WangPC for any future computer issues.

My Gateway PC was having MAJOR issues trying to get through Windows 10 updates, and eventually would not boot into Windows at all, period. Wouldnt boot into Safe Mode, wouldnt start from a recovery disk. I was at a total loss. After reading all the excellent recommendations online, I decided to call WangPC. Martin was extremely helpful and friendly on the phone. I brought my machine into his shop, an d the next morning he called me with the diagnosis - a failing hard disk, compounded by a virus in the operating system that my freeware antivirus program had not caught. Martin installed a new SSD, installed the latest Windows 10 version and a much better antivirus system. Luckily my documents and files were accessible on the old drive, so he transferred all those over to the new drive. I did need to reinstall programs, but after a day of this I was back up and running. With the new drive and a clean system its like having a brand new computer. Quick turnaround, expert diagnosis and service, friendly communication throughout the process. I totally recommend WangPC.

Great experience with the Brookline location. For what I thought was a very reasonable price they upgraded my laptop to Windows 10, swapped in a new solid state drive to replace the old hard drive and installed a bunch of new applications (Malwarebytes Premium and Office 19) at no extra charge. Best of all, I dropped the laptop off at about 11 and it was ready for me by mid-afternoon!

So I left my PC here for around 2 months or so (my fault, cuz I forgot about it and they had some trouble reaching me). Even with all that they kept my PC safe and had already ordered all the parts needed to fix it so that when I reached out they were able to install all the parts within a couple of hours. After picking my PC up the person in the shop offered to drop me off at home. Now thats service! Im writing this on the PC now which hasnt been turned off in about a day and everything works great!This is probably the best service in Boston. Bring your PC/laptop here if you need repairs.

Spent entire days online trying to diagnose this Blue Screen and BIOS lock, and with all the Microsoft Stores closed everywhere forever, I got desperate and called this guy. Gave him 2 sentences and he instantly knew it was a dead SSD. I didnt want to believe it bc the HDD still worked, and he wouldnt even look at it, but he was right. Went and bought a new SSD on amazon, plugged it in, and it worked.

My 2004 Dell Inspiron desktop died on me and I was worried that I had lost my files and pictures; given its age I figured it was done. Saturday morning I called WangPC and spoke with Martin who said not to worry and bring it on over. He had it repaired by Sunday morning, fully running again. I was amazed at the quick turnaround, less than 24hrs and on the weekend. Very friendly service and great job Martin!

They completed the job in one day and when the connection wasnt working properly I brought it back and they replaced it in less than 24 hours with no extra charge. Last month, after a year of resistance, my sons Dell laptop finally succumbed to Murphys law -- it fell down badly. I brought it to the Cambridge Micro Center for repair. I like their store and thought their repair service would be just as good. With a we are doing you a big favor attitude, the person at the front desk gave me a price and a time frame. Not only was it expensive, but it would have taken seven days to order parts. I refused. After a quick search I found that WangPC Computer Service was not far away and had good reviews. I went there. Night and day difference from Micro Center. Friendly welcome! Dont blame your son! This laptop is poorly designed. Thats why a fall causes so much damage. People bring this laptop to us with similar damage at least three times a week. We even carry the parts in stock. They quoted me half of Micro Centers price and they fixed the laptop in a day. I hope I never need computer repair services again ;-). But if I do, I will certainly go to WangPC.

This time, he not only fixed the issue(s), but made other adjustments and enhancements to my system that made it run smoother and faster.And then just yesterday, Martin took the laptop after I made the incredibly stupid decision of allowing a bogus Adobe Flash upgrade request, which turned out to be nothing but a BIG FAT VIRUS. Somebody from the gym dropped a 50 pounds weight on this phone and caused it completely broken. Screen cannot turn on, front camera was bent and broken so I searched the phone repair service nearby and found Martins team. I dropped the phone to their shop without any expectation due to severe damage from the phone. Within 5 days, the team was able to repair my phone flawless. I mean, it was fantastic job. Went in for a simple laptop screen replacement. Got quoted $400 when the screen is only $60 and it would probably take 15 minutes to repair. Did not appreciate the mans condescending behavior. Needless to say I will look elsewhere for my future repairs
