Gave my boxing gloves to repair and got them back within 2 days. Pretty decent work. Its cash only, so make sure you bring some cash.
Took my favorite pair of leather boots for a much-needed heel replacement after they had worn through to the underlying plastic heel. He offered same-day pickup for a very reasonable price ($35). Very well done repair, and the boots were polished and shined! There is a language barrier, so I would recommend sticking to basic shoe repairs where it is very clear what you need.
The quality of the workmanship is fantastic. I brought it several pairs of heavily worn heels that were all repaired wonderfully. I was very pleased with the results and the work was completed quickly. While there is a language barrier, the service is still 5 stars!
While Yuri appears to be a nice older man, I believe I was very much snookered. I had two pairs of heels that needed to be mended. Both needed toe reinforcement and the heel tread replaced, in addition to one pair needing a portion of the heel leather redone. He charged $100 cash for this work ahead of time. While he did the work quickly, I showed up and he had replaced the full tread on both of the shoes, without asking, which he then told me was going to cost me an extra $25. In addition, on the one pair of heels the heel tread was replaced in tan but the sole tread he placed was black, so the shoe was mismatched. When I said they should match he replaced with black, but didnt have the right size heel tread so he had to shave them down to align with the heel. To this he said it was better quality, but having worn heels for more than half of my life, I know that he just didnt have the right size and its now left the heel treads rough and jagged. The work was not well done and I did not appreciate being charged more for something that was not agreed upon.
Fixed a piece of hockey gear on the spot. Old school experience. All other shoe repair needs 2-3 days. This gentlemen repaired it on the spot and by hand, no machine. 40+ years of experience and it shows. Thank you.9/12/19 - Had to repair the hockey gear again. But, this time, he was cold as ice and didnt want anything to do with it. I thought I had a reliable source for hockey repair. But, apparently, he mustve not enjoyed repairing it previously and declined to fix it.
He did awesome work. I brought in beat up, worn out scuffed and scratched mens shoes and he brought them back to life. Stitches the soles, resoled the shoe, worked out all the scuffs and scratches. They look great. Dropped them off on Friday and they were done on Monday. Really exceeded expectations. I wish Id taken a before picture so I could show before and after. Ill definitely come back with any shoe repairs I need.
The place looked small and grim at first but the guy who works there proved to be a true master of his craft. He made my trusted pair of boots look brand new. After dealing with other local shoe repair shops, I will not consider another place again.
Fantastic work! I was embarrassed of the degree to which I destroyed a pair of Masscob cork and leather sandals. Jazz Shoe Repair gladly and artfully replaced walked-through leather sole with Vibram, repaired eroded cork, sewed strap to reinforce. Finished after a weekend! Better than new. My new shoe repair go-to!
Charged me 45 dollars to fix the heel and sole of boots that had worn down, and put a rugged-type sole on a dress boot, ruining the appearance of the shoe. He also did not reduce the original heel enough to make the new heel level, increasing the height of my shoes. To top this off, when I picked them up, he charged me an additional 5 dollars for some work he had done that we hadnt agreed on. I have had them a week and now the glue is already peeling off the shoe. Not a good experience here.
Poor experience. Sandals needed heel strap trimmed down, and more holes in ankle strap (I have very narrow feet). I put the shoes on when I dropped them off and he said he seemed to understand what I needed (there is a language barrier). Twice called before going to pick up shoes, twice told ready, when they were not, he needed me to show him again how much heel strap to take off. On third try they were ready, but holes in straps werent where I needed them, had argument with the owner trying to show him where I needed the holes, he put in 3 extra holes (not where I needed them) and then wanted to charge me $5 extra for holes that did not help me at all (which obviously took him 30 seconds to make). I literally pleaded with him to look at where I needed the holes and put in the holes where I needed them, and I would pay him the extra $5, which he finally did, at the extra cost. This was a simple job that took too much time and energy. Other reviews say hes a fine cobbler, perhaps hes good for more complex jobs but I do not expect to return.
Went in to repair my worn out soles and got them back within the next few days brand new. Yuriy is one of those old school cobblers and provides high quality service. Although there is a language barrier, the work he does makes up for it. Highly recommended
Lied about how long I left shoes before picking them up. Never called to tell me they were completed. Demanded extra money than what I paid up front. Ended up costing $120 for shoes I bought for $100 on a black Friday sale
Excellent work, resoled the heels of my dress boots in 1 day and even polished out some scuffs I had no luck with for years.
I keep coming back to this place for keys. The store owner is very friendly and remembered me from before. I needed a copy for a key I lost and the job was done well. I also had a pair of expensive soccer cleats that had a hole in them. He took a crack at it and prolonged their life for a little bit.
Great service, will be taking my shoes for repair here again. Thank you!!!
Yuriy was able to bring my old boots back to life after other shoe repair shops rejected the job. The job was also done within few days and Yuriy called me when they were ready for pick up.
The owner called me up and yelled at me because my boss, whos shoes I dropped off, didnt pick them up the day I told him she would. He then told me to never bring my shoes back and hung up on me.
Owner is nice and did a great job.
