We stopped at Goddess And The Baker at The Corners in Brookfield on Sunday 6/13. Β The Goddess And the Baker has a modern, light and open Californian-style cafe vibe with nice outdoor seating areas on either side of the building. Β Friendly, fast and fresh seems to be the theme at Goddess And The Baker - everyone was friendly, the drinks and food were delivered to our table very quickly and everything was freshly made to order. Β We tried their Iced Chai Latte and Frozen Coconut Caramel Coffee to start - both were absolutely delicious. Β For lunch we had the Santa Monica Turkey Sandwich w/Fries and Chicken Gyro Naanwich w/Fries. Β Both sandwiches were VERY tasty, of a good size and fresh - the only thing that would have made the Santa Monica Turkey Sandwich better would have been if the bread was toasted - if we order it again, wed probably ask for it to be toasted. Β The fries were very good as well - thin-cut, crispy and lightly seasoned. Β We had heard this place was good and wanted to give it a try. Β Were glad we did and will be back to try more of their menu.
Depending on the day this place fluxes between 3 and 4 stars, but I cant do a 3.5 so there it is. Now for specifics. I do enjoy the lattes here, but the flavored lattes are all pretty just genetically sweet so I avoid them. The food is pretty good, but because of the location the price tag is higher. There are just these little details that if they fixed them it would easily be a 5 star location for me. Like their bakery always looks amazing but it also always has fruit flies lingering. The yo-yo area is very handy, but they keep a bucket of cleaning water and other random things on it. Lastly the free water is awful, definitely need to just shell out for a bottle here. The location is convenient, the place is nicely decorated and charming overall, and the staff is friendly.
I absolutely love this place for breakfast, lunch, and everything in between. Large selection of treats, specialty drinks, salads, and more this place is especially great if you enjoy your nutrient dense meal with a special treat. It is a it pricy, but the cleanliness, atmosphere, and quality make it worth the extra money. Have tried many things and not been disappointed yet - especially love the glitter latte. What a fun way to enjoy my Sunday caffeine fix.
The goddess and the baker Brookfield should have a five star rating. Thought everything about the place was awesome and amazing. Very comfy place, great quality food at a good price. They were fasted and knew all the answer to our questions of how they were made. Thank you so much
Everything on the menu and in the displays looked amazing! It was busy, but the wait was relatively short. My drink ended up being just perfect and was a great combination of flavor. I will definitely be going back again to satisfy my taste buds and admire the decor.
I want to love this place because it is sooo cute and they are really fun looking drinks, juices and desserts, however I have given them so many chances and they keep disappointing or messing up my orders. This time seals the deal. First of all, I had my food delivered dine in and I needed to take it to go so I asked for containers and I poured my latte (did not drink any) into the to go cup they gave me and it didnt even fill half the to-go cup. So people dining in are paying the same price as to-go but are getting less than half of the amount. I asked the barista about this and her response is dont know that is the cups the owner makes us use in a super annoyed tone. If I was her I would have offered the customer a top off to fill their to-go cup and make them happy. I took my food and drinks and left. It gets worse though. I got in the car, opened my acai bowl and noticed there was no granola on it, it was like they subbed it out by just dumping whole flax seed on it, which tears up the stomach if its not ground anyway, but then I started eating it and was like oh nvm the granola is at the bottom... NOPE. It was blended up PLASTIC. It was as if they stuck the entire acai in its pack into the blender!! I pulled out a bunch of pieces. Thats not all though, the acai wasnt even fully blended and it tasted like MOLD. I had my husband try it to confirm and he agreed. It was definitely super expired. So in the garbage by $10 tiny acai bowl went!
Man, the staff here is so nice and chill. Liz and Kyra and the barista I didnβt get the name of-they are all wonderful!! Love the summer drinks, they are so delicious. The only reason I didnβt give 5 stars is because itβs hotter than Hades in here. Itβs 83 degrees inside! They keep the windows open with the air on, but I am just sitting here sweating and feeling bad for the workers who are running around and doing a great job. Iβd love if they put big fans around the place OR shut the windows to prevent the air from being so hot and sticky! Thanks we will be back but hopefully we can sit inside comfortably:)
A friend and I met up at Goddess and the Baker for some coffee and a work date. The space is clean, bright, and beautifully designed/decorated. They had a good variety of food options and are able to meet unique dietary restrictions. My friend ordered a GOLD GLITTER latte, it was so fun and delicious. I ordered a chai latte and although it was served in a small cup, it was still good tasting. Ive ordered their breakfast bowls in the past as well. Again, the serving size was a little small, but the food tasted great. I will definitely visit Goddess and the Baker again. Parking can sometimes get difficult to find, but its good to note that you can park in the downstairs parking ramp and its convenient to get upstairs to the restaurant.
Was not a favorite of the places we went out there. Cake was dry. Whipped frosting. We shared- told right away they were closing in 30 minutes & wed be kicked out at that time. That was a first for me. Went to sit with a pager- mind you it was a slice of cake... On display Next to them, took over 5 minutes to get it... Tables were ALL dirty to. Nothing was wiped off. When we went to leave the doors were already locked. Had to have someone let us out... Not impressed. Fun decorations, so Ill give it a 2 star.
This place did not give me a bad experience. However, I believe there are better options out there in the local area. There was nothing that I saw that created a reason to choose this restaurant over several others in close proximity.
Out to lunch with a friend. She had a sandwich and I had the chicken tenders & fries. She stated her sandwich was delicious. Sad to say the chicken fingers were terrible. 50% of the chicken tender was the breading. The meat was really dry. Inedible. The establishment was busy and there was no way that social distancing could have been done. The tables were very close together. The staff were wearing masks but most of the customers were not. There was outdoor seating but not enough to handle the number of customers.. I will give the place another chance some time in the future. The 3 stars are the the friendly staff.
I was amazed when I saw you serve shakshuka, which is originally a North African traditional dish, specifically Moroccan. However, I was shocked when I saw describing this as classic Israel dish. Can you please correct your information and stop stealing other culturesβ traditions? The history of this dish is older than Israel.
Great selection of coffee and pastries. First time here and will not be the last. From regular drip coffee to nitro cold brew. Cookies to cheesecake, need to try the sandwiches, salads and other offerings, but definitely exited about this place. Service was good, you can tell staff was still training but it wasnt as bad as others have said. New places will have hiccups but that shouldnt discourage another try. Keep caffeinated πβ
Ascetically, this place is amazing, but that is as far as the greatness goes. Quality of items and service were lacking. My turmeric latte was not that special, little too watery. My friend ordered a fall specialty drink and the spice was overpowering. They also forgot about my gluten free brownie. When I asked after waiting for 10 minutes, they just unapologetically handed me my small $5 brownie wrapped in plastic wrap.
Fantastic place! Highly recommend the rainbow cake if you have kids. Everything is delicious. We try and order something new each time.
Iβm originally from the Chicago area and really wanted to love this place- the ambience is fun and funky, and they have a huge, BEAUTIFUL selection of bakery items, so I was very excited and eager to try one of their chocolate cupcakes. Unfortunately it was very dry and I could crunch the sugar when I bit into the buttercream- very, very sweet. I would come back and try something different next time, though. Super impressed by the American Flag cake!
The atmosphere is great. The food, however, was not. My steak wrap and fries came out cold and my guest had the chicken gyro on pita. The chicken was not high-quality.For the price paid for the meals, the first-time food experience was definitely a turn-off and very disappointing. That colors my whole view of the place as overrated. Maybe thats not fair. But, first impressions are lasting.
Over prices treats that are old and stale from sitting out. Coffees are great but the food is over priced and subpar
Went here for Motherβs Day brunch and was very underwhelmed with the food, service, and overall flow. You order from your phone or go up to the front desk, no servers. I ordered a cinnamon roll which they apparently warm up. If you like a cold, dry cinnamon roll with rock hard icing that crumbles with each bite you might like this one, was hard to even get my fork through it except the one bite in the center. The lemon bread was good as well as the almond croissant. Ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches (one croissant one regular) and they both were meh, pretty plain flavor not much seasoning. I really did enjoy the coffee here, we got a few specialty lattes and that was definitely the best part. I feel like this place is more for βshowβ than anything, we werenβt very impressed and likely wonβt go back.
Empty restaurant no line... Ordered a piece of carrot cake took 15 min to get it.Gotta learn how to prioritize. Also, the decor looks like if a steampunk version of the Starbucks mermaid mated with a unicorn.Just go to a normal coffee shop this place is doing too much.Havenβt sent the older lady who caused issues before. Dude in the leather bib with long hair really cares about his job and ya gotta respect that.
I love their avocado toast for breakfast! Also the interior design and the atmosphere are very beautiful. Nice spot to have breakfast and a cup of coffee. It gets very busy on weekend mornings.
This place is super cute! However, I got a piece of rainbow cake and it had almost no flavor at all. I also got macrons and those were good but otherwise it was definitely not worth $6.99 for a slice of cake from here.
Food is pretty good, I do be loving that iced Carmel latte. Great staff and as well family friendly
Had the worst date ever here. But the coffee is delicious!
Ive been wanting to try Goddess and my husband and I went for brunch. I got the iron man scrambler and tiramisu cold brew. My husband had the heuvos rancheros tostadas and Mayan chocolate iced mocha. Service was quick and everyone was nice. Food and drinks were excellent! Food was hot and coffee was strong and tasty. I love the decor too! Well be back to try other things.
We purchased a GF cake and it looked like a $40 cake, tasted like a $20 cake. The only problem is we paid $80 for it. Look elsewhere, this place was rude in honoring a gift certificate and didnt make a good cake, which is what bakeries are supposed to do.
Super cool and friendly atmosphere. Love the inclusivity! Food was delicious! Would go again:)
Expensive, dry product. Waitress seemed annoyed she had 2 people in line and inpatient. Brought in my on line receipt and after 10 minuets a manager found it. Very disorganized. First and last time fir me.
Great place to work and great food and coffee.
I wouldnβt recommend this place to anyone. Worst brunch ever. Ordered the Ironman Scrambler and it was maybe 1.5 eggs and a slice of avocado. One of the most expensive items on the menu and it was maybe 3 bites total. Do not go to this place.
Very long wait for Huevos Rancheros, the tostada was π₯΅ burnt and the eggs completely raw!! It could not be eaten π.Left it on the table, couldnt wait in line again just to complain. If I could somehow get my money refunded for this lousy experience, I would withdraw this review.
Place is decorated amazing and the music is killer. Food, bakery, and drinks are beyond terrible. My dad gave me $300 in gift cards and after 3 times I gave the gift card to a kid on the street. Shame.
Today I went there expecting a good service and nice food. When I start ordering the food in the middle of the order one of the wokers told the girl at the cashier something I didnt hear and they start laughing non stop, they showed nothing but disrspect, everyone start looking at us and me and some of my family members were confused to what they were laughing about. I was so mad and didnt expect such thing to happen at this caffe since I came here many times in the past. After ordering the food, the food was cold and I didnt enjoy it at all. This experience was the worse experience for me in this caffe, workers should at least show some respect to thier customers and make the caffe a welcoming place to enjoy not laugh in a middle of taking an order and make everyone look at us!!
Fresh made delicious soup and bakery
Recently ordered 2 dozen mini cupcakes for a bridal shower. When I went to pick up was an order delivery error to the location so the wonderful staff filled the order to the best of ability with what available at the store. The cupcakes were delicious and a hit at the shower. The staff was helpful in the order process- Greg. Didnβt get the names of staff at pick up- but female manager was very professional and accommodating. Check out there delicious baked goods. I plan on returning for a meal soon.
Ok, wasnt as good as I thought it would be. Flies around where the Latte is made.
Cute place! The selection of food looks really good! Unfortunately, we just came in for iced tea, and it really wasnβt very good. We told someone it tasted kind of rotten, and she looked and said βit was brewed two days ago!β Just fwi you shouldnβt serve two day old iced tea. π¬ However, everyone who works there is SO nice, so they made a fresh batch for us and it was much better!
Great bakery. Although placed an online order at 6am for pickup at 4pm, and got called 10 mins before pickup saying they were completely out of red velvet cupcakes. Frustrating and done doing business here.
Very slow service. Additionally, they do not accept cash, so if you are in line for a while, then finally get to order, you and your $20 bill will be very disappointed.
Carrot cake birthday treat to go! Loved it.
The sugar cookie was good. Cupcakes too. The problem? The lemon cake with blueberry compote in the jar was SPOILED. I bought 2 YESTERDAY. Both have mold on the cake and smell like rotten cheese despite being refrigerated... Major let down since they were like $6 each. Check your inventory before selling it. That was disgusting.
Tried to place an online order and couldnβt get it to to go through. Called the store and we were told βwe donβt take phone orders, Iβll let my manager know goodbye.β Since we really wanted acai bowls we thought weβd give it another shot. We were able to finally get the online order to go though and after 15 minutes walked into the store. After a few minutes someone waved us over to the register and when I said I was there for an online order he swiftly stated βdid you check by the door?β #1- no. Iβve never been here before. #2- this customer service is horrific. I went to pick up my order βby the doorβ and left. The bigger problem? The worst acai bowls weβve ever had in our entire lives. We couldnβt even eat half and threw it out. Iβm still picking chia out of my teeth, the fruit was sour, and it was overall bad bad. Weβve had lots of acai bowls from all over the US and this was unfortunately, the worst. Couple that with poor customer service- we wonβt be returning. Save your $8/bowl and get some quality ingredients and make a few bowls at home!
Cute restaurants and a nice selection of food and bakery, not to mention how good the coffee is
Seems a bit pricey but overall a great place to have a coffee and talk with friends!
Id deduct 1/2 star because of their cashless purchase policy, but cant penalize the staff for the managements decision. Im certain this costs their baristas/wait staff tips as those if us who prefer cash for small transactions will often leave large(r) tips.
As of late Iβve had terrible food quality here especially for the price. Ordered from grub hum and got a burnt bagel.
A nice clean atmosphere with space to eat comfortably indoors. Good selection of salads, soups and sandwiches.
Got the liquid chocolate drink, basically really thick and rich hot chocolate. Yummy, but not too sweet.
I really like the decor of this place. Very beautiful and welcoming. The food and drinks are just ok though. In my opinion, they are just too expensive for what you get.
Good quality food with healthy options in a cool modern building.
My favorite coffee shop outside downtown Milwaukee. Its a great stop with good sarrounding shops
Great food. Can take a little bit of time to get your order when busy though.
Goddess and the Baker used to be one of my favorite coffee shops until a recent visit where I saw how they operate. There was a girl who seemed to be recently employed there. She was trying her best during a very busy lunch hour. The Manager treated her absolutely HORRIBLE. Seeing the way the Manager was quickly to criticize, but not quickly to help only made my decision to never go back easier. For a Business who is all about the Community they should really learn how to treat their employees better.
Bakery items not fresh, stale and expensive
Crazy expensive for bland food. also found hairs on my 6 minute eggs.
Bery bad service Picking up orders, no kind, not friendly and stressed, the boy who attends the orders must have more attention to the public.
I love this place. Always so friendly and a great place to talk to friends, study, or grab something healthy and quick. The desserts are dangerous, the coffee is to die for and the food is amazing. I have no complaints except seating can be hard around 11.30 to 1. If you havent been here before its a must! They are card only no cash.
I tried this place for the first time last week and have since been here two more times. Love the atmosphere, coffee, and food. All fantastic! Also love how lgbtq friendly/ forward it is here.
We had breakfast sandwiches and they were very delicious!
Drove all the way here and their not even open.
Drinks and food good but overpriced. Service isnt the best. Atmosphere is great.
First timer at Goddess, and it is a super cute cafe! The ladies upfront were very nice and patient with my order!
For what Goddess is trying to be in the Brookfield Corners, I feel they do a pretty darn good job of accomplishing it. They are certainly catering to a higher class of people in their presentation, selection and service. They are consistent in all facets. The food is solid, the bakery and coffee bar spectacular. My only knock is they are a little pricey, but thatβs to be expected where they are located. All in all you wonβt be disappointed.
Interesting menu, large airy seating conducive to social distancing
