I saw a review on here and it sounds like just what Im thinking. Upscale brands and atmosphere but still has some great deals and sales out there for everyone. Go and have a great time finding something new for you or the one you love.

Dont go anywhere else to look for a gorgeous, formal dress to wear to a wedding. I was looking for a mother of the groom dress. Von Maur has beautiful dresses that are more unique and trendy (knee length and floor length) than what you will find at most local bridal stores. They also have a good number of the traditional sort, if thats your thing. The traditional bridal stores here in Madison, WI really seem to have a ton of the same old stuff thats been on racks for years. Feels great to find something classy, modern, yet tasteful, for a special event. Their stock is getting a bit lower since summer is almost here and there are a lot of women purchasing special event dresses. Awesome that they have instore alterations services available. The seamstress pinned my new dress for alterations on a Sunday afternoon, when I bought the dress. So happy!

If you are looking for where to bring your kids for their picture with Santa then you have found the right place. Very professional staff, live music, beautiful Christmas decorations. Also plenty of quality newborn and childrens clothing and items to look through while waiting in line for the pic with Santa. Well worth the trip.

One of our favorite department stores in Wisconsin. Upscale brands and atmosphere but still offers great deals and sales. Everyone is extremely courteous and friendly. We’ve taken advantage of the free wrapping for Christmas and Mother’s Day. We’ve also taken advantage of the in-house alteration service for prom dresses and dance dresses.

My family and I visited this store for the first time on Saturday September 4. We were browsing and I first noticed an employee walk by me and look at me twice as she was passing me. I immediately noticed this and began to watch her as she stood some distance away. This employee just stared at me as I was looking in the purse Dept. I never had this happen to me before. I was appalled and shocked at this behavior and how I was made to feel like a common criminal. For the first time ever in a store, I was made to feel like a stereotyped black woman will steal something. I have been in stores like Tiffany, Versace, Bloomingdales and Saks fifth Ave and never was made to feel like I was less than I am. I dont want anyone to lose their job but I want them to have sensivity training for all their employees. At the very least the employee could have faked it and greeted me and asked if I needed assistance and said they will be around if I need anything. At least make me believe the lie, but I guess that was too much trouble.

I absolutely love coming here to go shopping for clothes and stuff like that, and even if not to go shopping, just to enjoy the vibes! I just wish Waukesha/Brookfield had more places like it. 😄

One of the nicest department stores I have been in in many years! Everything was organized, displayed very well and of course, it was very clean.The merchandise was great quality, and they have clothing you wont see at other stores. The staff we came in contact with was very friendly and everyone was willing to help.They offer value added features like free basic alterations, free shipping and more. They had each department staffed, you didnt have to search for an open register or an associate to help you.The women wear skirts/dresses and the men wear suits and ties. You may consider this old school but I found it very refreshing and speaks to the companies values.I cant recommend this store enough. Pay them a visit and see how retail should be done!I just had to add that the live piano music was a very nice touch as well! #LocalGuides

Was told directly that shoes could be returned “as long as they weren’t put in a wood chipper,” so I shouldn’t be worried about changing my mind on comfort or style. Went to then return them, and was vehemently told that’s not their policy anymore and they wouldn’t return them. A policy has no literal point if it can be changed at any notice and applied to the past. What policy has any meaning then? I was a big shopper here, along with friends and family, and none of us will be shopping here from now on.

Wow, what a fantastic store. My family and I visited today and were pleasantly surprised. We were also impressed that the store maintained a mask wearing policy. It was refreshing to hear the pianist playing all the beautiful classic tunes. As new homeowners in the Menomonee Falls and Brookfield area s. We expect to return.

Only was in there for a brief time but was shocked on how big the place is.

Typically we LOVE this place and the customer service is excellent. Today was not the case. No one came and asked us if we needed help in the shoe area. My girls and I were clearly shopping for shoes - we looked at ALL the shoes, before I decided to go to the counter and ask for help. The 2 ladies looked at each other and were deciding who could assist us. Mind you, my kids knew exactly what they wanted and they just had to go in the back amd grab them. It was a bit of a turn off. Hopefully it was just an off day, but this was my first negative experience there.

This is a store I spend thousands of dollars in a month. We are in a no-mask mandated county, not to mention the Supreme Court overruled mandating masks. I was rudely asked to wear a mask. Why do I bother to get vaccinated? I am not caving to the fear. Its my choice. If the staff wants to wear a mask, thats one thing. But dont force a customer to do something they dont want to.

Thought I loved this store. However, Von Maur corporate made a decision with which I disagree. Upon opening after the safer-at-home order was lifted, Von Maur offered 30% off everything virtually storewide. If you chose full price items, then the item was returnable. If the item was marked down, then it became a final sale with the extra 30% off. Fair enough. When I chose an item I knew to be final sale with the additional 30% off, the sales associate put a red mark through the price tag (which is acceptable). However, when she reached for the scissors to cut the manufacturer label in the collar in half, I asked her to stop. I told her by cutting the label, she is now negating the manufacturers warranty as it appears to be an outlet item. She said that is their policy if its a final sale. I asked for a manager, and the manager indicated that corporate made the decision to do this with all final sale items. Since the Vineyard Vines item I was purchasing had a zipper, I did not purchase the item as it would lose the manufacturers warranty. Not quite sure why corporate made this decision, but Von Maur is not acting for the customer by taking away the manufacturers warranty.

Rare old school department store where salespeople actually help you, check on you in the dressing room, get you a different size, measure your feet. Terri in the jewelry apartment was especially helpful finding earrings to match a jeweled collared gown for a wedding. You pay for the experience and the quality, and theres usually only a small quantity of sale merchandise, but every once in a while, I tell myself Im worth it. Coat check, gift wrap and shipping your gift items, alterations, frequent live music, clean well appointed rest rooms, even a mothers lounge, are some of the amenities that make shopping a joy instead of a chore.

Great store with incredibly helpful employees. I bought a dress for my son’s wedding with the assistance of a very nice sales team. I came back for my alterations appointment (dress needed shortening) and was attended to by Bee, the tailor, who was very nice, patient and helpful. I had brought with me the shoes I had planned to wear, but was not crazy about, and asked several people (employees and customers) in the dressing room area their opinion, with mixed responses. One of the salespeople (I wish I had gotten her name) asked my shoe size, and went up to the shoe dept with the dress and brought back 2 pair, one which we all loved with the dress, looked much better than the originals, and were way more comfortable. She also made it possible for me to purchase them in the dress dept rather than having to go to shoes. I was very impressed that the alteration fee was only $15 (would have been complimentary but there was s ruffle involved)!I was also in the purse section looking for an evening bag. Although I did not find what I was looking for, the sales lady there was also very attentive.I have purchased a few special occasion dresses at Von Maur and have been consistently pleased with the selection and the employees.It’s nice in this era of online shopping (which I do frequently) to have such a great store in the area, with employees that go above and beyond the norm to help out. Thank you!

Von Maur is like the slightly-more-stuffy version of Nordstrom. The vibe is slightly more old-fashioned as expected from Brookfield, but has some nice stuff, staff is friendly, and it’s clean and welcoming. Located in the Brookfield Corners provides a pleasant place to shop, and you’ll find quality brands also available at Nordstrom.

This is one of my new favorite stores in the Milwaukee/Brookfield area! The location is amazing and unlike anything else around. The staff always blows me away with how kind and helpful they are. Some of the prices can be a bit high but the sales racks are too good to pass up! Well made clothing and a variety of styles. I will be back soon!

Just absolutely appalled by customer service. I was followed around the entire store by employees and being treated like I was a criminal for just browsing. funny enough I was wearing clothes, shoes and bags more expensive then half the people in that store besides the point. If Von Maur is “high quality” please represent your brand and employees that way to treat everyone with respect when they walk into your company’s doors.

Von Maur’s is the only place I shop for the best selections of women’s clothing on two floors, great shoes, jewelry and cosmetics. The friendliest staff anywhere. They’re so helpful but never pushy. The jewel of Brookfield, but I happily drive from Palmyra to shop.

There is no other upscale retail store in WI, that compares to the Von Maur shopping experience...None.

I visited this new Von Maur on opening day and was seriously both underwhelmed and amused at the same time. Prices are outrageously expensive for mediocre merchandise. Example being: this hideous excuse for a shirt (see photo) for $178!! Im afraid its no April fools joke. No wonder very few customers in the store had bags in hand. The fact that I spotted Louis Vuitton handbags in a store in Wisconsin was questionable, so I contacted LV directly to inquire if VM was a legit LV seller due to not seeing VM listed on the LV website. I was informed that it was not, so Von Maur is illegally selling Louis Vuitton bags which are not likely to be authentic. I was overall disappointed that I wasted my time visiting the store and I left empty handed. I will return to The Corners when they fill up with the rest of their tenants but I will not return to Von Maur. When I want quality merchandise, Im most definitely willing to pay for it, however, I will make the short drive to Chicago and visit one of the many premium shopping destinations they have there, as Ive been doing the entire time living here. Von Maur, after people visit you once to initially check you out to see what youre all about, most wont return. Youll exit the Wisconsin market as quick as you entered it.

The stores and restaurants are great; but parking is terrible!

I have visited this store at least once or twice a month since it opened. I always spend over $100-$200 each visit, such cute clothes, a nice selection. Some great sales too. Lately though, Im not sure what incentives employees are given but they have become very pushy and intrusive. My 1st 20 minutes there this week I was approached by 6 sales people. SIX!! And not just one question per salesperson.. several follow-up questions too. May I hold that for you until you are ready to try it on? What else can I help you find? etc.. There are TOO many people working on any given night and they really need to get a sense for which customers arent into chatting, and just want to shop. There is a short, overweight woman working jewelry who is just terribly rude. And a (perhaps) Arab or Indian woman who is very intrusive, kept following me, and then my high-school aged daughter around asking if we needed anything, or oh are you going to get that, need another size, etc.. I finally had to get curt with her and tell her we are doing FINE and please let us look around on our own. But perhaps by then, 5 interruptions later, I was just frustrated. Back off, sales people, then this is a great shopping experience for sure.
