Had an issue with random sensors triggering false entry. The technician came and re-programmed the sensors to the new panel I upgraded to. Love the fully functional wireless security system. All controlled from the ADT command app.

We have been dragging our feet on making a decision on which system to upgrade to but I know when we are ready, Beth will take care of us with the best package for our needs. ADT service has been to my home far too frequently. They sold me a cell phone connection that did not work at all. Then they sold me an upgraded cell phone connection. Then the door sensors would exhaust their batteries within days. Then the door sensors would trip if a truck rolled past. Then the door sensors wouldnt connect at all. Then the secondary keypad failed. Then, then, then, if I had any inkling that this industry leader was this poor, I would never have given them a second thought.
Ive had ADT services installed at two locations for nearly 6 months now and neither of them are properly working. I have had technicians out on average once a month (because a service ticket takes that long to get a call) to attempt to correct the issues. The technicians are professional and friendly, as well as the sales team but nobody can get anything done. I have no faith in ADT whatsoever but Im still forced to pay for the monthly fees. I hope that they will do whats right and credit my account as well as fix both systems eventually.

After 60 days of having the service I have had to have some very nice technicians out to my house to solve the issues. Because of the issues and unknown of what the problem exactly was, I made the decision to cancel ADT. Unfortunately, it has been a struggle cancel after 2 attempts on the phone. I am feeling defeated and like I am stuck to the 3 year contract without having to paid a large 75% of contract service fee. I dont want to have to waste anymore time from ADT or my family and would like to cancel. Sadly, they have not let me do that. Therefore, I would not rate the customer experience high. I have talked with many great people on the ADT team, but we have not been able to get us up and running the way we expected and we just want to get a refund.

ADT gradually increases it prices every year until you tell them you will switch. The last straw was that they wanted to charge me a one time free of $25 because adt was upgrading they cellphone side of the service. I called and told them that, that was an art problem and not my problem. The credited me $25. I canceled them month later for RING alarm service same type of monitoring plus more perks than ADT for $100 a year. No BS contracts.

If there was an option to give negative stars I would! They treated us like trash when we were trying to cancel. EVERY SINGLE AGENT who we spoke with had something new to say I was told different things all the time. After removing my auto pay, which a rep confirmed that it was removed, They took another payment from my account!! I call back and an accounting agent tells me Maam we are human and make mistakes it takes 30 days for your account and autopay to cancel!!! Like yes Im human too but come on now every single person who I spoke with said something different! I DO NO recommend ADT. I switched over to VIVINT! They offer better service and equipment and Technicians are super professional and Agents on the phone are super nice. Never again will I go back to ADT I rather not have security in my house at all. I hope they take this reviews seriously!!!

We have been ADT customer for many years their customer support and service is second to none. We had an incident here the other day where I was a little slow (3 min) in turning off the security system I immediately received a phone call (REAL PERSON) from their monitoring station wanting to know if everything was okay, Very impressive.ADT is head and shoulders above their competition in applying new technology to their product line they have products available that will fit any security requirements that a home or business may require to secure their premises and if needed their clients can monitor their premises security from anywhere in the world in real time.
I called to cancel the service last summer, because it was intermittent when we were on vacations. just shotty service. was going to get one of these new self-systems. So i get customer retention, who tell me they would upgrade me from Pulse Equipment/Service to Command Equipment/Service, if i stayed and that it wouldnt fail when i was away. the current Pulse Equipment/Service is mine, so there was no contract. i was assured of that and didnt sign or agree to anything. but i said okay to the upgrade. i was assured the upgrade would happen right away, before i left town in October for sure. She said there would only be a contract later when they install the new Command Equipment/Service.So it took them 6 months of bumbling to show up to install the Pulse Equipment/Service. the day they guy finally showed, jan 8th, he warned as soon as he got here that it might not work, because of only one bar of cell service. i said okay, then i guess we better not do it. need to call someone? he said he would deal with it. 8hrs late, after it is installed, he tells me the office requires him to remove it now, because of only one bar of service and that they can not install that service here.i canceled service that day, or so i was told. i had to give my password and everything. he read me a statement. i was told my account was closed. now, weeks later, i get a bill and also an e-notification that they scheduled to charge my card again in March. i called the bank and had my card replaced. so at least they cant charge me again. but they are still billing me.So i called today and as i hold for 10 min at a time, she comes back on the phone and tells me my account is still open, still billing and since they just installed the system on the 8th, i will be charged $1200 to break the contract. i tried to explain to her that they are the ones who broke the contract and that they removed the system the very same day. then she puts me on hold multiple times again, and then says, okay, we will let you break that contract, but the contract you signed last August is in effect until August. i tried to explain that i didnt sign any contract back then and dont have one. never did, and she said she was sorry, is there anything else that she can do for me and that they will continue to bill me. so it sounds like she shut down my service, but didnt shut down my service? this is getting crazy. they technically owe ME for the last 6 months of Pulse service they have been charging me for! that wasnt part of the deal at all!most crooked bunch of people i have ever met! LOTS of new services out there! I highly recommend them over ADT! be prepared to get SCAMMED with these people ! ! !
I was very dissatisfied with my experience with ADT. I called in to see what a system would cost, and they said that they would have to come out to see exactly what I needed, which was fine but they did give me a monthly estimate. After talking about price for a bit, I was transferred to the manager that tried to get me to commit to a package in the phone by saying I was not protecting my family if I did not agree to a package. After further still discussion they agreed to give me the best deal that they could offer, which after further research is the same deal that was being advertised all over the internet/mailers.I agreed to have someone come out, which is when they discussed the $100 deposit. That part I was fine with, but they also said they were going to do a credit check. I monitor my credit closely and did not want a hard inquiry for the next two years because of security system. They assured me that it was not a hard inquiry and it would not appear on my credit score. That was false. As soon as I saw the inquiry pop up on my credit score, I called and cancelled. This is not a security company, this is a sales organization.
They came when scheduled but a week later a guy showed up said he was with ADT, I didnt open the door. Three days later the same guy came to my house with a woman and they tried to open the screen door thankfully it was locked. The pulse app that they have stopped working and they said I would have to have service person come to my house again, I declined and will be canceling my subscription after the 3 years are up. I would cancel now but I am locked in a 3 year contract. I dont recommend this to anyone. Get the ring doorbell, cameras and insurance.
Usually, I am one who would suggest ADT, but after this encounter, I am VERY Disappointed with the service. The technician didnt know what he was doing and kept making excuses or calling someone for help. Having to get someone else out, AGAIN, to hopefully fix the issue.
SIGN UP IF YOU LIKE THROWING AWAY MONEY! I’ve been a customer with ADT for 2 years now. I only got it because my bank said they had a offer for $27 a month with window brake sensors, motion detection, and a video camera. Somehow that increased to 60 dollars a month. The first year they added on fire alarm without my knowledge. Yeah they reimburse me for the months they charged me but one day I opened the door and forgot to unarm the alarm. We must’ve stood outside talking for five mins before noticing the alarm was blaring inside the house. My fiancé says you going to disarm that I said no. Then ADT calls and I picked up the phone and said took you long enough we would’ve already been dead. She never realized how long it took them to call, if they called at all. Awhile after that I got a large dog. He only came up to my knees but it was enough to set off the alarm, although the sales person told me any size dog wouldn’t set it off unless the dog climbed on the sofa. So we could only set the alarm for stay. The answer I got from ADT was, we will leave a note not to call if the alarm goes off. Of course!!! That helps, that’s exactly what we need. A alarm system that doesn’t notify the police or anyone. So what am I paying for. I’m paying for the window decals and yard signs. I pay 100 dollars a year for two ring spotlight cams because I have to monitor the house myself. I can call the police faster then ADT and see the person before they even reach my door step. I’m just counting down the months until I’m out of this trap. Please don’t apologize unless you’re going to release me from this contract early. Other then that your apologizes are full of s**t just like your product.
I have been an ADT residential customer for over a year. Brian Ware sold me on ADT with his out-of-the-box approach to selling. His common sense approach to what is needed to secure my house provided a system that is not too much and not too little, but just right. As the security expert, he could have oversold me on a bigger and more expensive system, but did not. The is the kind of person and company that I want to do business with. Give Brian a call. You will not be disappointed.
Adt is a terrible company that makes their money trapping people in long contracts. The authorized dealers only give you a slightly worse deal. Once they got you customer service and satisfaction go out the window. Let the 3 day cancelation period be a huge red flag to you!

Adt is the worse security place Do NOT I repeat DONT go through them. My alarm went off got home no door open or anything called adt to come check they said they have to charge me 25 dollars. That doesnt make sense adt sensor suck why am I paying monthly if adt wont come check. Unprofessional horrible cant get out contract otherwise gonna get charged for it. Reponse time for someone to come check house is two hours later they really suck will not renew contract with them when up horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible place
Tried for over a decade and ADT couldn’t get it together. How are they still in business with inferior outdated tech, terrible customer service, and awful service contracts? Even their employees see the writing on the wall.
Buyer Beware! @ADT is not the Peace of Mind security system youre expecting! During my due diligence phone inquiry, I was asked for a Credit Card to hold my appointment, I asked twice by both the CSR & his manager that it was to hold only, similar to a hotel CC hold said manager, I stated I wanted an estimate when the representative came out. Upon the onsite visit, the representative/technician thought he was there to do the install, I re-explained - this is an estimate only. After the walk through & then quote, the onsite tech attempted to sell us to buy that day. During conversation the $99 install fee came up, I stated that I was told it was for a hold only. I immediately looked at my CC statement & discovered I was charged $99 plus taxes! After a firm NO, he then called his manger to notify him of our status. On speaker phone, the manager attempted to sell us again, tiring of the babble, we cut the manager short, re-stating we were NOT buying that day. After finally ending the long winded phone call, the onsite tech then said wed collectively call ADT headquarters & postpone this situation. Upon calling ADT, CSR reps said we needed to reschedule a date unless or wed start over from scratch in the event wed decide to go with ADT. Fair enough. Weve compared apples to apples. Weve decided to go with another system for a variety of reasons - price, coverage, unit options, customer service. So . . . I called ADT to cancel the appointment & request my refund of $99 plus taxes. I was transferred to a manager, I told the manager the same. The manager tried to sell me yet again, I stopped him quickly that I simply wanted to cancel, the manager response Are you having a bad day? WHAT?! Is that how a professional handles a situation?! In the end & 17 minutes on hold, he stated my CC would be refunded in 7-10 days. Funny, they can charge my CC the day of my inquiry but it will take this additional time to get a refund. Unethical & unprofessional service peroid. Moral of the story - dont use ADT & hire a local service, reliable & honest security system.
Used ADT for at least 15 years. We recently had upgrade to keypads and now the new keypad makes an aweful count down beeping (so darn loud and so unnecessarily obnoxious) every time we set the alarm. It wakes up the kids and anyone else who happens to by trying to sleep. I called ADT and there is no way to bypass it. Come on!!! They must get zillions of complaints about this dumb feature. Help ADT! I’m about to cancel our longtime service.
