After taking formal courses on ice cream manufacture, Deb and Bob Saunders opened the Daily Scoop in Bristol, across the street from Independence Park. Their pints of premium ice cream are available in area stores and in southern Connecticut and Massachusetts, but follow the patriotically red, white, and blue lane lines painted on the streets to the small shop with the picture-perfect view of Narragansett Bay.
Delicious, high quality ice cream. They have fairly unique flavors like dirty dough (peanut butter and chocolate ice cream with cookie dough) and peach. Im guessing the flavors probably vary during different times of the year, but they have a wide selection. They could have smaller sizes available, but at least youre definitely getting your moneys worth. One scoop seems more like two, and you could easily split a sundae between three people.
Good ice cream and well placed for a stroll around Bristols waterfront park. They have all of the traditional flavors. The ice cream flavors seem to be more non-fruit than fruit. They have cups and 3 kinds of cones. I dont know if they have sundaes.
Homemade ice cream served through a take out window on the Bristol Harbor. Not a lot of seats to sit and relax but the view is beautiful. The ice cream is very good and they offer sugar free options as well.
Got a pistachio waffle come. I could see it getting messy if you get more than one scoop but the ice cream and cone were delicious. Wish they would add soft serve too. But overall nice little sost if youre walking through Bristol.
The caramel crunch was like nothing Ive had before! So good! The caramel was not too sweet, it was gooey, soft and delicious! The crunch was perfect, not even sure what it was, but Im looking forward to my next scoop!
Theyre always closed when theyre website or Google says theyre open. Theyre rude about closing times when you ask. They try to get you out of the store as quickly as possible. They only care about a sale and Ive had better ice cream. Theyre own quality was better in recent years. Extremely over priced for ice cream. Every location is like this. Poor service, poor quality. Pass it up.
Ice cream was just ok -- had some icy chunks. Good range of flavors though. Expensive for what it is.The manager or owner should update the hours here so theyre accurate (ie: expand the Hours section & click Suggest an Edit), especially since they are such sticklers about it & actually lock the doors on the dot.
So good. All homemade. Always busy, but worth the wait
I love, love this summer spot. They only take cash, and are excellent at ensuring I enjoy their tasty ice cream without worries of peanut allergies
It would be really great for this place to at least have an active enough website to list vitual information. Like hours, open and closes seasons, the fact that it’s CASH ONLY. You know normal things that would benefit them and their patrons.
Still the best! We consider ourselves practiced ice cream aficionados (lol) and this place is consistently THE BEST.
We love their ice cream. I gave 5 stars for the ice cream... hours are a problem. Usually closed when we go.
So many good choices, and wonderful views of Bristol harbor
I love it very much great deliciousness ice cream me and my fiance enjoyed 👍🙏❤
After an amazing summer of taste testing hard creams in different states - I was ready for some Daily Scoop. The key factor of testing hard cream is their creaminess factor and if they have their product at a proper temperature. Daily Scoop has an amazing creamy factor and doesnt have the typical icey taste to it. What ruins a good hard ice cream is you experience these lingering icey feel on your tongue - no Bueno. Daily Scoop is as good as it gets - which explains their prices. Be prepared to shell out some cash and remember they only take cash - no cards.
My favorite ice cream. Had to come get it one last time before they close for the season
Great ice cream! Loved the waffle cone
For the price you do not get a lot for your money. The quality is average and the service is subpar. The staff is not friendly and there is no distinct place for a line to form. If you can make the drive to the Ice Cream Barn do that instead.
Very good love the creaminess
Great tasting ice cream, amazing view from park nextdoor
Great ice cream at a low price. Perfect location with an amazing view of bristol harbor.
The ice cream is delicious!!! Prices are expensive. The no credit/debit thing is annoying.
Excellent selection, taste, value, and service!
4.5 best ice cream in area
The ice cream is mediocre at best. A single scoop is almost 5 dollars. They refuse to mix flavors on a single scoop. Cash only. Summary: Overpriced, Unaccommodating, Unremarkable, Outdated.
There ice cream is so yummy
Great flavors and a stunning view!
Great spot for an ice cream
I actually havent been here but they are not open for the season yet. Went on a couple days ago and they were closed
Hours inaccurate on Google Maps. Closed for season.
