This dealership was great.My family and I were passing through town going back home during a recent vacation my family car decided to show the dreaded check engine light along with a few other warning lights.We called Bill Gatton Honda that morning and spoke to Landon and he said they would fit us into their service to check us out. Unfortunately when we got there that morning the lights had gone off, but they pulled us in and Johnathan ran a diagnostic.After paying a very reasonable diagnostic fee we got on our way....or so we thought. Thirty minutes away the dash lit up like a Christmas tree again. I called up and talked to Landon again. He got us fit back into the service line.Steve, checked us out and found the problem and got to work on it. Landon even worked it out for us to be taken to a local hotel and our driver even stopped so we could get some dinner.First thing in the morning Steve had us back up and running and no lights and we were able to make it the rest of our 416 miles to the house without incident.They were fast, efficient, affordable and very accommodating to a family traveling through town.They were also very hospitable to my family of five, three dogs and one ferret. As we were getting our Pilot checked out it was a pretty rainy dreary day. Yet, they let us hang out in the showroom to stay dry. They even kept us hydrated and put on a fresh pot of coffee for my wife.They were awesome.

I bought a 2016 honda fit back in september 2019 and i have to say.. for my very FIRST time buying from a dealer instead of family.. they made it GREAT.. the carfax was clean, they were HONEST..and no pressure sales at ALL.. ive recommended 4 people to them.. keep up the good work gatton :)

I really really trusted this car place. I was excited in hopes Of getting a BMW. I provided a Carfax reports which showed multiple all changes which I thought was a good thing and right before about the car they didn’t all change. They wouldn’t let me drive the car past a certain point. I ended up purchasing the car than the second day taking it to my garage. After going a minimum of 60 mph on the highway the whole car shook all over the gears were hesitant to change. I took the car to get looked at and there was a huge chunk took out of the frame there was also an oil leak, in the plastic that was over the transmission was busted. They also took the check engine lights off. The check engine light read at the timing chain was needed to be replaced. I called them and I went back over there and I guess they looked at it and offered my money back which was very fair they did not have to do that that’s what I do like about this place. They said they were never aware of the situation now but yet they had it in the air doing an oil change the day I bought it. Very sketchy place do not recommend

Took it in for a service, was told I would have to wait around 2 hours which was fine. While I waited for my car to be serviced, I wanted to look at a couple cars. The sales people were unprofessional and rude. I would try to get someone’s attention but each sales associate would immediately turn around or ignore my signal. I’m giving it two stars not for the service department, but for the sales associates behavior towards me. I’m not sure if it’s maybe because they thought I was young and didn’t want to take me seriously, but I was really hoping to look at a car today. I’ve been saving up for a new car and I’ve been browsing around, so it was upsetting that no employees took me seriously. I’ve had my eyes on a 21 Honda CRV, but since I wasn’t assisted today with the sales team, I definitely will NOT be buying a car from here EVER. I couldn’t imagine working with a sales team that doesn’t take pride in their work.Tip: Even if someone has already been helped (whether you know that for sure or not) ask if they need any assistance at looking in your inventory.Save yourself the time and just go to Kingsport or Johnson City.

My first encounter with her was over the phone, during the conversation I kept thinking how kind and helpful she sounded. When I stopped in a few weeks later and met her in a few minutes she had appointments set up for me to take care of the issues I was having. She is the kindest person and most helpful person, she is so knowledgeable about all of the services and getting your needs taken Care of. Her pride in her job is so obvious she makes you feel like you are at the right and only place and her total intention is for you to be a satisfied customer. Worst customer service I’ve ever had In my life. Bought 3 cars from there and will never buy another one from them. Sold me a car with a defective tire. Called to see if they would fix the tire. Refused to fix. Lady I spoke with was absolutely hateful and even hung up on me. Way to go Bill Gatton. Lost a good customer over a damn $75.00 tire. Don’t buy from them. Terrible

Bought a wonderful used minivan from these guys. Before putting the van on the market, they replaced the breaks, timing belt, and put new tires on it. They really go out of their way to send you off with a maintenance free, safe, clean, awesome vehicle. Brad was our guy and he was super easy to work with. No pushy sales stuff, just down-to-earth honest guy who wants customers to have a great car at a great deal.

Got a used vehicle from this place from what I thought was a reputable dealership. Well better yet I tried telling this Mr.Mock salesman something is wrong with this vehicle. This guy swore by their service mechanics they did a tremendous job on inspecting this vehicle. Well I was in need of a vehicle after my other vehicle went down on me and so i could get back to supporting my family of 4 like i was after having to switch jobs. Something most call a buyers remorse may tend to be my action for this so called reputable dealership! Better yet this guy never explained to me this type of vehicle had so many transmission problems.!!

My interaction with this dealership was great. I went in with a need that knowingly wouldn’t bring them any revenue. Instead of turning me away, they took the time to help me and made me feel extremely welcome. They were quick to help me as well. This says something about their business in my opinion. When I go to trade my vehicle in the future, this is the sort of thing that makes me feel confident that they will test me like a person rather than just another sale. They are very genuine. I would recommend them and appreciate them helping me knowing they would not be receiving any profits by helping me.

Drove 300 miles to purchase a 2015 Chevy Silverado, examined the vehicle from top to bottom. They even put the vehicle on a rack so I could examine the undercarriage. Thank You. Came to finishing the deal they wanted to add $599 to the price for preparation. This didnt go real well. They finally took $599 off the online price and we made the deal. I did have to change brakes all around because of worn out brakes on the back and a terrible squeaking on the front, metallic brakes. Replaced all with carbon, no more squeaking. Also was told there was no warranty on this vehicle. Not even a 30-90 day warranty that you usually receive. This was disappointing, but the price was right, and it was the vehicle I had been searching for. Would give this experience 1 1/2 stars.

We have made 2 trips to the dealership and have yet to work with a salesperson. Today one approached us and said he thought we were someone else and walked away. We walked the parking lot for 15 min and were never approached again. We then drove to the car we were interested in, called the dealership asking for assistance. We waited another 10 min then left. As we approached the entry a salesperson was getting into a golf cart. I rolled down the window and told him what had happened. His response? We’ve been busy. Not even he offered to help. I called the dealership as we drove away and advised we were heading to Knoxville to buy a car today. Yea- poor sales service. I’d love to buy locally and have tried - more than once. I suppose hey don’t need the business.

Paid cash for a brand new 2018 Civic Sport Touring 1.5 Turbo. Tire sidewall had a factory defect, they would not take care of it. So much for the great Honda warranty and it only has 13k miles. Told me to find a tire shop that carried Continental. Unreal.

We purchased our Honda CR-V here at bill gatton and were given a great deal for our trade in. The transfer case went out on our equinox, and gm screwed us on the faulty part that theyve known about. So we went with the best vehicle with the best warranty. Would recommend to anyone looking to buy a new vehicle or used one.

DO NOT buy a used car from this dealership unless you get it checked out by a third party mechanic that you know and trust. I recently bought a car online from them and I usually do send it to a third party but this time I didnt. They swore up and down the car was 100% mechanically sound and needed NOTHING. I even asked them to look for specific leaks/seepage common to this vehicle. When I received the car and ran it for the first time more than a few minutes, I smelled burning oil. Took it to my mechanic and turns out it needs ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS in repairs!! When I tried to get in touch with the manager.....crickets......no email reply no phone reply. I did talk to the salesperson and they refused to lift a finger or give a dime to help. They are either dishonest or incompetent. Either way, stay away.In response to the manager below. I DID try to contact you by email and phone. I received NO reply. The only reply was from your salesperson who said he would do NOTHING. That is why I resorted to the BBB and thats the only reason you replied then. Your offer of less than half of the repair costs was insulting to say the least. The only reason you reply here and on other sites is to try and make consumers think you actually care.Dont be fooled!! Typical dealership who will promise and say anything to get your money. To this day I still have not talked to you!!! If you care so much why havent you called? Your words are truly hollow.

I have to say Ive always been wary of car dealers but the folks at Bill Gatton Honda have seen it all. Will and Dave have had to deal with my anxiety about my car in the service department, and have ALWAYS been incredibly gracious and informative. They know what happens when someone doesnt treat your car right. I have had major work on my 2009 honda fit, they replaced the entire engine for me, cylinders, a new key fob (which I highly recommend) and regular maintenance as well. Their service professionals have worked on Hondas 8 plus years and know all the ins and outs. When it comes to peace of mind concerning my car, this is the place I go.

I drove from Georgia 252 miles (one way) to purchase a 2017 Honda Ridgeline. The sales lady Bobbie Richardson didnt mentioned to me that the vehicle was damaged. It had scratches and dents on the driver side from the front bumper to the back bumper. Not honest, stay away.

I took my car in for a routine oil change and a few problems were discovered. So I came back a week later and the service was great. The people that I spoke to were really nice and explained what was going on with my car which I appreciated because I am not car savvy. They were also so great with my 2 year old cousin who was with me; and I loved that because I didnt get the feeling they were impatient when I had to divide my attention.

Had some service work done and a detail job. The service work was what is was. They did the job correctly. The detail job wasnt that great for what I spent. They didnt even wipe off the top of seats. You could easily see dust that wasnt cleaned. Pretty disappointed.

I test drove a car and gave my payment information for a $100 deposit to hold the car. Went back a week later after getting a loan approved to get the car that was supposed to be held for me. The car was not there. The dealership never ran my card and sold the car without ever letting me know. When I showed my concern they offered no remorse expect offering me a car older with 20,000 more miles for the same price. When I called the Tommy Oliver the salesman that did my paperwork and promised to hold the car all I got was a “yeah that’s piss poor. I hate that for ya” this place is not trust worth and I would never suggest doing business with them.

We walked in today to have a tire fixed and the two men in the service dept. said the service manager would have to right it up. Well we wondered all around trying to find him and waited about 20 minutes and nothing. We walked into the show room and nobody greeted us, walked into the mechanic shop and the gentleman did say hi but appeared to be pre occupied on a matter. Meanwhile the two service employees continue talking to each other as we wait and wait not offering to help it was so strange because they weren’t even busy. We had to leave just couldn’t continue standing around.
