Its all about the money with them to me, not building life relationships that will keep you coming back. The quality was not as good as I thought that it would be for the price and the hype around their reputation! The photos speak for themselves!

We had a very positive experience working with Dalco for several recent home projects: new roof, replaced a sliding door, and had siding installed in areas that were painted wood (the rest of the house is brick). Doug was our sales/project manager and he was great to work with. Our selection and installation process was long due the fact that we were also having a patio installed (different builder). It was important for the projects to go in a certain order and Doug/Dalco were accommodating to those needs without any issue. We had several bids for the projects and Dalco provided the best value.

I obtained competitive bids from several roofing companies for a new roof and found that I got a lot more from Dalco for a very competitive price. The communication throughout the install process was very good. With some background in construction I observed the install. What I observed was a lot of little things being done to insure a weather tight roof that is prepared to last.The peace of mind dealing with a local reputable company was also important. We have worked with Dalco on refurbishing various aspects of our home since the early 90s. They have put on a new roof, gutters, front door, and all new top of the line windows with the easy clean from the inside feature. In addition they converted a large front window to a bay window. On the inside they gutted and remodeled two bathrooms and the kitchen (our most recent project). I loved my cabinets so much we had them added to our office/craft room. I have always enjoyed doing my own designing and found it very easy to work with the salesmen who helped me realize my vision. They were willing to research and track down materials I requested. Any questions or concerns were addressed in a timely fashion. Both the salesmen for interior and exterior projects, as well as the crews completing the jobs were a pleasure to work with. We have been very happy with the workmanship and quality of the materials. Through the years we have and continue to recommend Dalco.

When purchasing our new home, our inspector noted significant hail damage on the existing roof. With closing just around the corner we needed the roof replaced promptly. Dalco responded right away, provided a very competitive bid that both the seller and my husband were happy with. Then they responded even faster with crews and materials to complete a high quality job in no time. We closed on time, moved in and now enjoy the sharpest looking roof in the neighborhood. The quality of the window is impeccable, installers were terrific, everything ended up excellent. Their lead times happened to put my project on hold for a month and a half. Thats not their fault. But their response to me was not empathetic or customer focused. We will use them again. Because they are better than everyone else.

Dalco was easy to work with and did a great job. My home was damaged during a storm and Dalco made working with the insurance company very easy and painless. Doug Meyers from Dalco did a great job handling the project and keeping me updated as he fought with insurance. Once the work was approved by the insurance company Dalco didnt waste any time. All the projects (roof, sliding, window, and gutters) were finished quickly and professionally. Overall, I dont think I could have picked a better company to work with.

Dalco installed columns on the front of our house in Spring 2017. They did an excellent job -- efficient and neat! It really updated the look of the house! Our salesman, John C. gave us great advice on which columns to install. His suggestion of boxing in the top of the columns proved to be a good resolution to our bird nest problem. We had an excellent experience with this company. They replaced several windows in our house, including the windows in the atrium that are difficult to reach. Everything was done in the most timely and efficient manner. When a couple windows happened to have a defective glass and had to be replaced, they came without a delay and accomplished the task on time.All their workers were polite, knowledgeable and helpful, including Bill (sales person), Phil (service) and Brian (general manger).

We first used Dalco for new siding on our home in 2010. That project was done professionally from Bill our sales professional to the installation team doing an an excellent job. When we decided in December 2017 it was time to replace the windows in our 29 year old house, we researched various companies and once again chose Dalco. We made the correct decision. Bill was our sales professional again, explained our options, gave us new ideas for types of windows we were not aware were available that have made a wonderful difference in our home. The installation team again was outstanding replacing 20 windows in 2 days, with clean up and as little disturbance as possible. We feel they offered the most reasonable price for the quality of the windows, as pricing quotes did differ between companies. Thank you Dalco for a great job!

I have had nothing but good experiences working with Dalco. They did windows for me about 7-8 years ago and roof and gutters this year. All of the workmanship has been outstanding and they really stand behind their products. I had an issue with one of the windows about about a year ago and they came out and fixed it with no problems.

We had Dalco put on a new roof and gutters for us and had a great experience. They had super communication with us about the choices we had in the product and went over all the cost with us before hand. The workers were professional and cleaned up when they were done. When installation finally came it was stopped soon after by the city when they asked Dalco for the permit. As new homeowners we did not know a permit was needed. With Dalco doing work in St. Louis for 40 years they should have known and told us they would not do any work until we obtained the permit if that was our responsibility.I am writing this review due to the lack of communication that started once the problems began. I am also disappointed that Dalco says they did not know we needed a permit and that they have done thousand of houses without permits in our area. We talked to neighbors who had their windows replaced and all of the companies that installed their windows built in the permit to the pricing break down and said they would not do work until they had a permit.If you choose Dalco, make sure you study up on your city regulations and permits so this does not happen to you. Or Dalco, please be informed so you do not have to inconvenience other customers the same way we have been.

DALCO has always done an excellent job for both me and my mother on any project. Their prices are always reasonable, the crew is great to work with and they follow up to make sure everything is to the customers satisfaction. We used DALCO to replace our roof and gutters. Bill and Rich did a great job explaining all of the options and benefits of their roofing installation and guttering. They werent high pressure to commit when they came to us. I had been researching different leaf guard options for my gutters and DALCO uses one of top ones that I was interested in. Im looking forward to not cleaning my gutters anymore. The office kept us informed on when the crews would be arriving and they showed up on the days they told us. They did a great job cleaning up when done.

I received many bids for new windows for my 13 year old home . Dalco wasn’t the very cheapest but in the price range . Our representive (Doug) was so helpful and knowledgeable, and followed thru the whole process.i also learned that Dalco uses there own crew of installers and they are not contracted out installers. This is a BIG DEAL.Also Doug was the only one that told us we needed safety glass in our garden tub window replacement, another BIG DEAL if we would decided to sell our home. Last but not least, my installers were just THE BEST., so kind, kept me informed.i had zero clean up. They were just the best ... I highly recommend Dalco

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DALCO WINDOWS AND DOORS, THEY ARE THE WORST PEOPLE I’VE EVER DEALT WITH. On September 8, 2017 I requested someone to come out and give me a bid for the job so they came out to take measurements of the windows. I explained to the gentlemen by the name of BILL that I wanted to replace 5 windows and he had started to take the measurements and did more talking than working, a real talkative type of guy. After he had spent 45 mins explaining and showing brochures of the windows that they install. He sat down and wrote up the bid took him about 30 mins to write the bid up went into detail on what was going to be done and what type of windows were going to be done. He then presented me with the bid. On the bid proposal sheet, it had everything listed and in detail on what work was going to be done at my residence. I asked him if all 5 windows were included in that and if the window capping and installation was done at that price and he said yes, we are the cheapest and we guarantee our work. So, the price read ($1624) and I asked him again to confirm if that price was accurate and he said yes. A few days went by and I will still getting bids for the work to be done. I then compared the prices and Dalco had everyone beat so I called the salesman back and asked to confirm the price he said yes sit that price is correct you pay what is written there. So, I then pursued to have the job started and he said he would check his schedule and call me back to set up an actual time on when he was going to come back to the property and do exact measurements. In which two days went by and I started to question everything. Then he calls me on September 20 and says well we have a problem. He said my math was not right. The windows are now over $2400. I then continued to ask why did the price just go up almost $800. He continued to say he can’t do anything about it and that the owners wouldn’t even continue to do business at the original price. And he tells me if I don’t like it not to do business with them they are well off and they don’t need my business I continued to ask how is it possible to have something written on a contract and not follow it the salesman responded you are wasting my time right now i need to be out making money Which then raised my eyebrows and made me question everything that they do. This is a basic bait and switch move. Which is not right in any business. The salesman went ahead and said if I don’t want to continue doing business with him not to waste his time because “he has to get out and make money” which clearly means he has to get out and rip people off. I wouldn’t recommend these people to anyone I know and I hope the owners and officers see this because this is embarrassing if this is how you guys do business. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!! THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a little architectural drafting experience, which may not count for much but did expose me to some simple facts regarding contractors and windows. 1) They are not all the same and 2) workmanship is perhaps more important than the quality of the materials. Of course, when it came time to replace the windows in our +50 year old home, I took bids from four different companies thatallegedly had a solid product--for durability and themal properties. One of the best bidders was DALCO, whose rep, Mr. Tom Hayes, was extremely helpful and answered all our questions withoutwasting our time with hype. His straight forward, honest approach made us lean toward this company and the specifications on the windows sealed the deal. Reps like Tom dont need to sling hash at customers. The windows were installed in one day by two highly experienced professionals, Dan and Craig, who each had decades of experience and it showed in the quality of the installation.Bottomline: Dalco bid nearly half the price of high bidder and the windows not only look wonderful, the thermal properties exceed the values of most competitors. There is a reason this company has been around a long time: they do great work with solid products at a FAIR PRICE. A first rate organization who cares about their reputation in the community. I would refer my family and friends without hesitation.

Its interesting all the good reviews I will not name the person who I dealt with, I feel like I got the run around. I received a bid but when I asked for a break down of what everything would cost I was told that it cant be done. but yet you guarantee the product from the supplier. who is the supplier ? I didnt look at any book to see what I would receive I was just was told this is how much it will cost. then the person had the nerve to say I know you have a budget set but a much lower bid will probably be with the product that will not stand the test. how would I know if it can stand the test because I dont know what DALCO product is either. I will not recommend them to anyone I am very disappointed and DALCO was recommended to me.

There is no question about this companys ability to deliver the best value at any price point. Additionally, they have committed to reattach a gutter that was loosened when one of my trees was cut down. The service does not end with the contract.
