I came into this location today right after they opened, the line was insane but the gentleman behind the counter did a great job at tending to every customer in a very punctual faction. I had some questions regarding upgrading the stereo in my BMW Z4, and when it was my turn this gentleman answer every question I had and I had SEVERAL as I am somewhat new to this, I haven’t put a new stereo in one of my cars since I was sixteen. I was amazed at how much of a difference an aftermarket system can make!!! I will be back in to talk to I believe Andy or Anthony I can’t remember his name exactly but he informed me of their 6 month layaway program that I can’t wait to take advantage of! Bravo Custom Sounds, your employees truly are the professionals and this employee especially was very professional!! I’ve shopped the competitors, save yourself some time just go see these guys!

James helped us pick out the right sound system for our car and encouraged me to install it myself. Superb customer service. He even called the South County store and made sure they had the other parts in stock that we needed. Got the whole system (touch screen radio, four speakers, and backup camera) installed in one day. I guess James was right!

I scheduled an appointment for my car audio and tint two months in advance only to get there and they tell me all I can get done is the tint because they didn’t have the bracket for the radio. On top of that the guy didn’t seem to care that they messed up. Piss poor service

I went in to look at new speakers for my car and I can say I am impressed. I spoke with James there and not only did he take the time to check out my car and explain what would be changed he also demonstrated the difference in sound for new speakers. The place looks (and smells) amazing and I can see why they are so busy!I will be back for sure. I know exactly what Im buying now and its going to be from these guys!! A+

I recently visited Custom Sounds to have a remote car starter installed. I had a coupon and was quoted a different price for the service on my previous visit. I wanna start my review off with saying I was hesitant when I first arrived. It was right past when they opened and just one salesman was handling a line of people. Busy busy busy location. The salesman explained to us he was alone for the day and he’d do his best to get to all of us as fast as he could. Between juggling the phone, running outside, and working the computer it took him 30 minutes to finally get to me. When it was finally my turn Anthony greeted me with a smile and as if he was my best friend. I told him what I was looking for and after looking at my SUV we went over a several options. Now I’ll get to where my 5 stars came from. As we’re going over my options I noticed how clean and organized this location is compared to others I’ve been to, I even mentioned it to Anthony and he thanked me. These guys appear to take a lot of pride in their work! I was informed of a lifetime warranty along with a heat shrink and solder standard which made me feel a lot more comfortable with spending 1000$ with these guys. As a business owner myself, hats off to the custom sounds crew, not many shops are THIS professional. I left on a handshake and took Anthony’s card, I will most definitely be calling him to schedule my appointment. If you’re looking for a place to get a radio, go see these guys!!!

I had a new Kenwood touchscreen, GPS stereo installed in my 2011 Corvette this week. There were apparently some delays due to emergencies with employees that resulted in my vehicle having to be left overnight. James the store manager was very professional and understanding to my concerns about leaving my car there overnight and assured me it would be locked up safe and sound in one of their internal bays which it was. James and the Technician doing the job stayed until 9:30 p.m on New Years Eve to see that the job was finished. This is my first time working with custom sounds but let me tell you they have secured all of my future business. If you want a professional job in which they will go out of their way to provide top notch work in which they stand behind you should come here for all your car audio needs.

I have had the worst experience with the manager James he’s very rude and a smart talker I’ve had most of all my vehicles done there but my last two vehicles horrible job on the radio, my second vehicle the tint it’s been over a month 1/2 now I have a lifetime warranty on my tint. I’ve been turned away not once but three times and I’m so tired of seeing him walk to my car to tell me don’t no what to tell you we just need some nice weather for these bubbles. On one of my windows. Being a manager and being I have a lifetime warranty he should have took care of his customer, So tonight I had to let him no I’ll take my car on Lindbergh to that Custom Sounds . I hope and pray to GOD that I will never have to cross paths with that . Custom Sounds again especially the manager.

These people are taking 5 days to put in a radio not a complete system just a radio that was purchase at there store ..These people act as they dont know what theyre doing..Im going to pickup my car and do it myself..This is crazy I have to get it done myself after spending $1500 ..

So Im not sure who installed my radio but both James and Anthony were great! They were friendly, knowledgeable and very heplful. They had my install done in three hours! They returned my car back to me in the condition I gave it to them plus a brand new radio!! Id definitely recommend going to the Bridgeton location. I would definitely go back myself! Thanks guys! I came in to look at speakers for my Camry. The salesman there James showed me what fit my car and let me hear some options. I had to leave my car all day but it sounds so good and they really took care of me! Awesome customer service! I highly recommend them!

Was a very well done service. I had a subwoofer and amp installed in my car. Anthony also helped me understand very clearly how I could make my system sound better since I have a high quality subwoofer and cheap amp and box that I brought with me. They know their field very well and am excited to bring back my car when I have money for the upgrades.

I had an appointment to get my remote start installed at this store today. Unfortunately they called me about 4 hours after I dropped my car off to tell me they could not get to it and had to many other cars to work on. This really defeats the purpose of the appointment since they apparently have not problem overbooking the slots they have. They offered to give me money off the next time but I’m not sure it’s going to be worth attempting to get it done from this place again.

Your employee Anthony Cilo was very helpful in helping me decide what speakers would best fit my interests for truck, amazing people skills, very professional, really seems very knowledgeable about the products he is selling, if you come to this location I highly recommend asking to speak with this gentleman. I walk in there Saturday and spoke with Anthony and told him I would like a 1 way Viper alarm Installed with proximity sensor. He figures everything up, gives me my total and schedules it for Wednesday. I had my wife leave her job to drop the car off Wednesday morning because I had to work. When she gets there they call me at work to ask me which Viper alarm I want and warn me of the proximity sensors. Im told they have 7 different Viper alarms but dont have them all in stock. So I reluctantly agree to a 2 way alarm they had in stock without the proximity sensor. They call back again an hour later and say that theyre not going to be able to use the 2 way we talked about because all of the pieces were not in the box..but say they have an avital alarm thats made by viper. So I agreed again to just install the avital and I would like to keep the proximity sensor as well. They said thats fine. An hour later I get another call that the proximity sensor I want isnt compatible with the avital alarm and they dont have any other alarms and they will call me in a couple days when they get one. I dont know why theyre scheduling installs for people when they dont even have the products in the store to be installed. They just dont explain enough about what youre getting and have an I dont care, take it or leave it attitude in the store. I havent had any other issues with this location until now but this was a huge disappointment and waste of time.

Went in and saw James to get some windows tinted on my girlfriends car. Best decision ever! Highly recommended.

This place is a joke. They are the worst run company I have ever encountered. Their employees all stand outside smoking cigarettes and what smells like marijuana for hours at a time and claim to be too busy to fit in a simple front window tint. As I too am in a service industry at the busiest store in my company I will be making every single client I have aware of this terrible company. I even have a picture to prove this.

This was a great experience. I had some work done on my car and everything turned out awesome. There was a minor mistake and they fixed it the very next day without any issues at all. I would recommend them for business and their installer Chris. They were awesome.

I went last Tuesday to have a remote starter installed on my significant others truck. I accidently called the South County location and made an appoint there instead of the Bridgeton location and I did not realize this until I went to drop the truck off and they did not have an appointment for me. They gave me 3 options: I could leave it there but they would not have it done until 7 and the chance that it would be done before then was highly unlikely, or I could drive to the South County location, or I could bring it in the next week. Since this was a surprise gift coming back another day was not an option since he would know something was up if I took his truck 2 separate occasions. Also my ride could not drive me to the south county location. So the only good option was to leave it and wait until 7 for it to be ready. My ride was dropping me off right after work at 5 and they called and told me the truck was ready for pick up! I could not believe that they had it done 2 hours sooner than what they told me. Luke was extremely helpful and I would go back in heartbeat! Extremely good customer service!

They had the wiring harness I need. Had to stand in line for 30 minutes to buy it. He was doing great taking care of ppl. They need another person to help front end when needed. They need to turn up the phone too. I could barely hear him.

I just walked up to the door looking to buy full window tints for all 3 of my trucks but at 1:05 in the afternoon there is a hand written sign saying they are out to lunch until 2. Thats one profitable way to run a business on a business day.... Guess i will be going back to vynil images.

I called this store yesterday to inquire about radio installation. The guy I spoke with told me I needed to bring my vehicle & radio I purchased (from somewhere else) so he could give me a actual price. I go there today I walk in for a tech to say I’ll be with you in a moment(the cashier had a customer). Ok cool....1st The guy NEVER came back & I ended up waiting 10 minutes for the cashier to end up trying to help. 2nd I tell the guy I would like a radio installed no speakers & it’s not a radio purchased from them. He starts punching all these buttons on the computer & then the calculator & says it’ll be $460.00!! WITHOUT EVEN GOING TO LOOK AT MY DASH!! Not for just a radio install this isn’t my first time getting a radio installed but I figured since their reviews were good & it was the closest to me in St. Charles. I had to go all the way to St. Louis County for a reasonable price, who went out to look at my dash before quoting me a price half the price this place was trying to charge & great work! I did not appreciate being told one thing on the phone & getting there to something totally different. Just because I’m a woman doesn’t mean I don’t know when someone is trying to over charge me. I hated this experience & I felt like the guy really didn’t want to help me in the first place.

Reasonable prices. They make you feel welcome when you walk through the door. they go out of their way to hell you get what you NEED to make your system sound like it should. Fast installs. Basically they know their stuff. This is the only place Im going for car audio.

Well let me began by saying I wont be back to custom sounds on St. Charles rock rd, I went into this store and pick out a viper alarm system to be installed in my truck got the price, said ok made the appointment for the following week, got their in time, gave the guy at front desk my name, he pulled up my name and stated you getting the viper with all the bells and whistles right? I said right, he took my keys took truck in the back, when done he came out and had installed a alarm system I didnt know nothing about, it wasnt the viper we talked about a week ago or the day of, all Im saying is watch that smooth talker at the front desk, problem not corrected

I purchased a remote start from groupon. They were having trouble with installing it. My car was there from 10 am till 6:30 pm. Got a call around 4:30 and was told they locked my key in the car and needed me to bring them my other key... this was not a problem. The staff was friendly My problem came when they could not get the device to work and I was told by James the manager he would call corporate regarding my refund and call me on Monday. Monday, I did not receive a call. Tuesday I called and spoke with James and was again I will call you back today. Never heard back from James regarding my refund. I had to call Groupon regarding the refund. Be careful purchasing thought Groupon with this company.

Unfortunately, I left my car there at 10AM expecting that remote car starter will be installed. James told me that it will be ready before 7PM. Then he called me at 6PM, while I was already in a cab to go there, saying that another car took too long and they couldnt even start the work on my car. Problem is they realized it 8 hours after I left the car. So I spent whole saturday without my car for nothing. In addition, I paid for taxi for nothing. At least James agreed that everybodys time is valuable and said sorry. Of course being sorry doesnt help if you run a business and doesnt bring back my wasted time and money. If you promise that you will accomplish a work, you dont close your store before you finish it and you dont give excuses. I think the main reason that they dont even honor their promise is groupon code. They give priority to customers who gets the most expensive service rather than someone using $129 groupon code and $93 cash.

Theres some new bloke in there and hes ruining my experience and trust. I had a full Focal system setup some months back while Drew was still there and while he takes some getting used to, he still gave me a vibe that at least hes concerned for the customers interest(s).What generated this return visit was for maintenance/warranty work and some new bloke was utterly rude and pushy.My concern? having the equalizer tuned to something appropriate for my hardware while also not killing my ears (listen to a lot of metal and edm) at the same time, there was something screwy going on with the P/S door speaker. This is why I bought the warranty service of 2yrs.The reaction? Nothing, instead he did at least come out to look but he wrecklessly flipped a few values without really listening for what changes he made then tells me well you have to listen yourself and change it. I know nothing in depth about sound like that, I know what I like and I know I dont like piercing sounds and also want to preserve my system so it doesnt blow up on me due to improperly set equalizer but to push it on me and not even explain to me what this system is safely capable of is simply ludicrous to me and an utter disregard for customer satisfaction.Im sorry this review was a mile long but I needed to voice my opinion on the matter. I dont know this blokes name nor did I want to stick around any longer. Hes the fast talker type and will try to push you back out the door as fast as you came in.

Update: I gotta give it to them, true enough it was a inconvenience for me but they are about their business. Jay and Patrick took care of me they had to keep my car a day longer then expected but they charged me half of what I was supposed to pay to make the situation right and then It took longer then they expected on the day i was supposed to pick it up so they stayed a extra hour and a half after they were supposed to be closed to take care of me.

Terrible install technicians. Took my 04 Monte Carlo to have a radio installed, technician didn’t know how to remove my dashboard shell so he just RIPPED it off and claimed that it was dry rotted and that’s why it cracked. How can plastic dry rot? Only rubber can dry rot. Then he tried to glue it back together and didn’t put it back on correctly. On top of that they still charged me $741 for the installation, no reimbursement or nothing. I will never go back to this place again nor recommend anyone I know to go there. You’re better off taking your car to traffic jams on olive in U city, they know cars and how to properly remove dash covers etc. trust me

I once asked them if they could correct an electrical interference problem I was having when having my phone plugged into the stereo and charging at the same time, and they said that they would have to sell me a head unit before they could do that. They also tried to get me to buy a head unit with navigation on it, which drives up the cost by several hundred dollars when I already have my phone for that. Needless to say, I went elsewhere, as these guys only want your money and nothing else.

Bad service and highly disrespectful. Quickly damaged up my brand new Bintelli Scorch motorize Scooter with broken parts and huge scratches and dents. They sold me a defective alarm that hardly works. Unjustly services that doesnt show an appropriate environment. Then, the service of the mechanics are quick to lie about damages done to your vehicle and say it was your fault and shouldve taken photos of your vehicle before dropping it off and call you out your name in the process. One moment they will show you the camera footage and then switch to saying they will mail it in to you to hide evidence of what they had done wrong.

Horrible customer service. Phone rang and rang and rang . When the service guy was asked why dont you answer the phone he said because he didnt feel like it. He was also using alot of profanity .

I purchased a car stereo system from them through Amazon in July 2019. Recently (dec 2019) we were away from home and the radio locked up and we were counting on using it for our Navigation back home across the US. I reached out to Mike and his team to see where to start. To my surprise he went out of his way and found a store near where we were and arranged to have our unit replaced the next day. Above and Beyond customer service.

Purchased a remote car start for my wife from groupon for 149.00 installed. I had the system installed at the bridgeton mo. store. Very unhappy with service from Drew Courtney, store manager. On a 2003 chevy impala, I was told that my factory remotes would not work. Was told I would have to have remote programed to lock and unlock the doors and trunk. I purchased a second remote for my use. A couple days later I found out that my factory remotes worked perfectly. Went back to the store to get my money back since I did not need them. Drew told me that there was nothing he could do since the techs have already been paid. I did not make the mistake, Drew Courtney did. Maybe he should know what he is doing. Cost me $68.26. VERY UN HAPPY- WILL NEVER USE CUSTOM SOUNDS AGAIN
