When we moved to Connecticut 20 years ago our landlord had a service contract with Santa Fuel. We were very grateful for the great service they provided when our heat went out in the winter and even once in the middle of the night. They were always able to fix the problem quickly, Our fuel deliveries were consistent and timed perfectly without me ever making a call. When we moved into our own home we knew we would call Santa Fuel--no question.

In the aftermath of hurricane Elsa, our furnace needed an after hours service call. I was told a serviceman would arrive at 10pm on Friday night. He arrived at 8:15pm, quickly fixed the furnace and was on his way. Thank you Stan for your timely and professional service after a horrendous day! Santa Energy has yet to let my family down in the almost 10 years that we have been their customer. Thank you!!!!

I moved into my home 5 years ago. The previous home owner used Santa so I just took them on as I assumed they knew my equipment and had been servicing it for years prior. Last year I got a notice from them that they now offered chimney sweeping so, I called and scheduled an appointment. They subcontracted the service to a company and charged me 5 TIMES the amount for that service that that company would have charged me directly, (I happened to get a flyer from them in the mail the day after my service billed through Santa). This got me shopping this year when it came to my oil plan and service contracts.Santa was charging me between 75 and 100% more for my service contracts then 3 other companies quoted me. Their locked in oil rate was $.25 higher per gallon than the second closest competitor. My yearly spend with them would be more than 26% higher then the next closest quote I received.After I informed them of the differences and that I would not be renewing, I was told, that is just list price, I can do better. Really? For a loyal customer of 5 years, offer me your best price right out of the gate. Their service has been fine and it is not all about price. If all the numbers were close, then I understand negotiating but, when you are almost double what everyone else is quoting for a service contract, I feel like they are taking advantage of their loyal customers. Shop around if you are a Santa customer!

Santa has been a wonderful company to work with. I find Santa to be professional and the people there have great integrity. My sales person is Patricia Morgan and she keeps me in touch with market trends and gives me great advice on rates and various programs that Santa offers to insure I receive the most competitive rates possible. I purchase my propane from them as well as my oil and they make it easy to get both products from one source. I never worry about receiving deliveries no matter what the weather is or the market conditions. Santa is reliable and honest. Thank You Santa!

Good service, good technicians. Ive had santa for a couple years and have been happy. Recently they came to deliver oil and charged me 3.06 per gallon, when the average home heating oil prices at the time of this review are 2.19. Im on a plan with them where they estimate my oil usage and I pay a certain amount per month (129$). I get oil once every 4 or 5 months and they sent me a bill for almost 800! I was never informed of the price per gallon until they sent me a letter after delivery the fuel. Very shady business, and I wont be using them again. I will just call whoever is cheaper anytime I need oil, because apparently customer loyalty, and satisfaction come second to trying to squeeze money out of people!

Not happy with the run around and games this company is playing. You call with a question no return call or 2-3 weeks later if that. Delivering oil when I said I no longer will be using them! It is unacceptable especially when I have no contract beware of the inflation prices and games when dealing with Santa, just terrible......I would give no stars but otherwise system will not let me post comment.

In addition to supplying our home heating oil, they maintain and service our air conditioning, furnace, and hot water heater under the service plans. When we needed to update our old boiler they came with a professional team of technicians and did a great installation. They also have good customer service representatives that answered all of our questions. We can tell they really care about serving their customers needs and that is huge.

DO NOT USE!! TERRIBLE! I switched to Santa Energy from a different company. They gave me a good price and convinced me that they were a good company. This was the biggest mistake. I should have never switched to Santa. My basement has flooded 2 times due to their technicians not servicing my boiler properly. The first time this happened, I thought they were going to come to a resolution of my issue. They immediately sent 2 supervisors to my home to look at the situation. They came and assured me that they were going to give the information to the proper people in the company and would get back to me with a resolution. I waited and waited. Nothing!! The thing that really got me mad was that they did not call me AT ALL to follow up, not even just to check in on things!! Terrible. I called and was told I could not speak with the supervisor. I called and asked to speak with the owner of the company and was told I could not speak with him! They put the President of the company on the phone. I asked him what the company was going to do for me for their error? He told me to PROVE IT!! Can you believe it?! He told me to prove it that this was their fault and basically that they were not going to do anything for me. I asked to speak with the owner again and was told that I cannot speak with him!Then, I got water in my basement again! This time I have the technician recorded stating that the reason that there was water in my basement was their error. Still, no one has contacted me again to discuss this matter. I am horrified with this company. I will definitely not use them ever again, and will tell all of my family and friends not to use them as well. They have terrible customer service and DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AT ALL!!! I have consulted with an attorney about the matter and they will be helping me on this matter.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This company overfilled my oil tank, then sent out a technician to clean up the mess. Charged me for the technician. Then the company suggested that I make repairs to my tank, which is odd because it is brand new. Happily took my business elsewhere.

We signed a contract with Santa that capped our price at 2.98 but also paid extra to get the current market rate. Santa claims that the market rate is $2.92 but currently it is much lower most places reporting 2.45 or bellow. When I called Nancy immediately had an attitude with me. Our contract is up soon, we will not be returning. Not only is it unethical and bad business practice but a trap. I suggest you try somewhere else. Beware: I called to get a price on oil (for a contract) last year and was told to fill out the online application. Once filled out, I was informed the online app was a binding contract for oil and there was a $300 cancellation fee. Needless to say, it was straightened out with help from the CT Attorney General. Im sure their prices are fine, but their business practices leave much to be desired.Update: It seems they have changed the language on their site. Just beware.

Reported a gas leak at 9am and they said they will have a technician swing by between 11-2.At 2:20 I called them they said someone was already dispatched. 5 minutes later I got a text message saying the tech just got dispatched. Its past 4pm and I am still waiting for the technician.Its a GAS LEAK! HELLO!!!Update....................................The technician finally showed up apologetic and very professional

It is sad that I have to do this review but I hired this company back in December 2014 to do a full replacement of my oil heating system as I was updating it to gas and also installed a water heater. They were courteous and although the installation took a little longer than anticipated. Everything was completed and working as expected. We had a one year warranty on all the work performed and the equipment but in my ignorance having spent a little over 10k for the entire process, we did not think that we would be needing a warranty any time soon. Well, long story short, the pipes were leaking since day 1, we did not notice it immediately. When we started noticing it, we thought it wasnt really a big deal since it wasnt all the time and we figure it was the humidity. Then the pipes started getting rusted and really bad after the one year. We called and guess what? Surprise!! We were on our own as the warranty had just expired. We called them to maintain the filter as we were supposed to do every year. We paid them to come and they attempted a very weak and cheap fix at one of the pipes and it still did not fix the problem. Fast forward to 2017 I had to pay a Plumber to replace the affected pipes that were almost rotten not even 3 years old. Oh wait and there is more! The pipes that Santa used were made of metal! Which my plumber said, should not have been used for water lines. Santa you have lost my business forever. I will be calling my own plumber for any maintenance needs.To be fair, everyone should get extended warranty on all work performed especially when you are paying an arm and a leg for an installation to be sure you are covered and its always good to budget for a plumber to give you a second opinion on things after all the work is performed. So I take partial responsibility on this. I will know better going forward.

Just informed that even though this company, Santa Fuel overfilled my tank by over 20 gallons of oil and rushed in to have it cleaned up and called everyone in to help on day one that now they are claiming that the gauge on my tank is responsible, not the person who overfilled it and did not notice it spilling out inside and outside of my house. And now that they have had my wall torn down and my entire basement still smells like gas that this is my fault as I am the homeowner. This is absolutely ridiculous. Additionally I had to call them to find this out as they pretty much just abandoned helping me on this. I cannot believe the lack of empathy or service in this matter. They also accused me of hammering the gauge on the tank, what? who would do this. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.

We bought a new furnace in late summer. So far, we have been without heat three times- once because it wasnt hooked up correctly, once because the company made a computer mistake so we ran out of oil (although we are on an automatic delivery plan)and today because a part of the new furnace was defective and had to be replaced. The repairman told me they were replacing this on many other furnaces and no longer selling what we had bought. The company has never apologized for leaving us without heat on any of the cold days even though these were all its mistakes. The lack of communication about problems an poor customer service is distressing.
