The Cardinale brothers have been caring for our vehicles ( personal and fleet) for almost 20 years. Tony is the surgeon and John is ground control . They have complete mechanical histories for all of our vehicles on file which, at a glance, can tell me whats been done and whats next. and if honesty and integrity are qualities that appeal to you in a mechanic, theyve got them in spades. Should have written this years ago and thanks guys, my new front brakes are excellent!

Honest mechanics that go above and beyond, and they let you know what you need to get done and what can wait. Have been going to these guys for years. Towed my car from Hartford area to Cardinal two separate times because I trust them. When you find an honest mechanic, its hard to go anywhere else.

I have been a customer of Cardinale Auto Services for many years. They are a superior automobile repair shop that is consistently honest and respectful. Problems with vehicles are accurately diagnosed and explained. Repairs are conducted properly and thoroughly, and costs are fair. They will not try to manipulate or up-sell you or cherry-pick issues with your vehicle to address. It would be difficult yo find another shop that matches their character and performance. From my home in Shelton, CT, I happily drive passed several other reputable shops in route to their location on North Avenue in Bridgeport to continue my patronage. Go check them out!

I would highly recommend Tonys shop to anyone looking for a great & honest mechanic. I meet Tony a few years ago and found out he was a top notch mechanic. I brought my Jeep for the first time to Tony for routine maintenance and one of them was this knocking/clunking noise coming from the rear passenger side of the jeep. Just to give you a little short back story when my Jeep was still under factory warranty I brought it back to the dealer to have them try & figure out what this clunking noise was . Every time the dealer said all set my Jeep would still make the noise. Once out of factory warranty when I brought my Jeep in for routine maintenance I would mention it to the shop to see if they could figure this strange noise out. No one could, they always replaced a part or said it maybe this or that but never anything that solved the solution. So I meet Tony & like I said brought my Jeep in for routine maintenance & again like I did with the dealer & other auto shops mentioned to Tony about the strange clunking noise that no one could figure out. So I got a call later that day from Tony saying he thought I figured it out that he thought it was a torn strut mount but changed it and the cluck was still there. So I said to Tony dont worry about it its a mystery he said that it was really bugging him so he would like to take one last stab at it. I said knock yourself out. With in the hour I get a phone call from Tony saying I figured it out, I said hit with with it. He said he pulled out everything from the back of the Jeep had one of his mechanics drive back & forth over bumps with him with his ear right in the back strut mount in the rear of the Jeep trying to hear the sound but it wasnt coming from the strut it was coming from the rear seat latch. Once Tony put the seat down the clunk went away once he pulled the seat up locked in the latch it make the clunking noise. So now I drive with one side of my back seat down so its now clunk free. Simple fix to a bad design. I said right then & there this shop is my shop till he decides to retire & yes I told him he cant retire.No other shop would go that far to solve a issue but Tony did. Great people top notch highly recommend Tonys shop to every one its a no brainier I would never even think about using any other shop other then Cardinale Auto

Great service! I have been using them for years for multiple cars. They have yet to disappoint me on their customer service or on their workmanship. And they always are straight forward and honest about pricing.

Genuine, honest and saved me tons of money. Paid for an inspection on a used vehicle from a private seller and their feedback was thorough and respected.

My vehicle broke a tie rod right in front of their shop, right in the middle of the intersection. They came over and towed me out of the intersection right away with no requirement that I get the car fixed there. I decided to let them fix it since the car dealership always rips me off for extra services anyway. They stayed overtime so they could get the part from their parts place and fixed the car lightning quick. I was expecting at least an $800 bill (what it would have been at dealership minimum) they only charged me a couple hundred for the part and labor, which as I said included them staying past their normal closing time. They definitely had me over a barrel and really could have charged me almost anything, but were honest and only fixed what needed to be fixed. They didnt try to say well since we are changing one side we should really change both and all the other crap the dealerships do. That was many years ago and the vehicle has been great ever since. Just needed to look them up now on Google because I have a coolant hose broken somewhere and I am having them come get it to fix it, so I figured I would leave a review while here. I will add another or update this one after this service is done.
