I needed tire help on a Sunday and had only a few options of places that were open. Right from the start my experience was wonderful with Pep Boys in Bridgeport. I called to make sure that they were able to take me in and the gentleman that answered was kind and professional right from the start. I ended up taking my truck in and had to purchase 2 new tires. John was kind, patient and did everything he could to get me a reasonable price for this last minute, unexpected purchase. I highly recommend this location for your automotive care.

I went there for new tires. I arrived there very late just before closing. I was pleasantly surprised with the courteous service that I received. John went beyond to get the tires that I needed and at a reasonable price. I forgot to ask for a wheel alignment but it was already way past closing anyways. With the treatment that I received I will definitely be back.

Went there to have my air conditioning serviced. They were realistic about the time it would take and the wait. Jose the service manager was excellent and even provided me with a bottle of water. I was able to get my car back within a few hours. This is my second time going there and each time they exceed my expectations.

I had to get new tires because my front wheels were bald, and the back were going. Also got an oil change. John was the person that was at the front desk and he was so helpful. I knew what oil I get but I had no idea about my tires. He walked outside to get all the information he needed and showed me where to find it, if I ever needed. He helpped me choose the best tires for my truck. The gentleman that changed my tires and did my oil was also great I believe his name was Vladimir Im not 100 percent sure. Highly recommended and they are knowledgeable and very friendly.

I went there 10 minutes before they closed with two flat tires . I explained I am a locksmith my van was at my job location. It was very important to me not to leave my van and my tools overnight at that location. John and Tony helped me out buy replacing the tires even though it was time for them to go home. I went back today for front brakes and a oil change. I live in Waterbury but will drive to this pep boys for service on my vehicle from now on. They were great to deal with. Mike the Locksmith! This place is a scam. I went to get a battery replaced. They ran a test and told me that my battery and alternator was good then later told me that i needed a new alternator which cost over 700$. Come to find out it didn’t even need to be done. John was nice but he wants the sale and does not have the best interest for the costumer. I don’t recommend this place ever! Stay away!

I had a great experience at this pep boys I walk-in on Saturday to get my car fix unfortunately at the time it was a 5 hour wait to they get to my car but a gentleman by the name of John was very helpful and knowledgeable, he made an appointment for my car right then and here for Sunday 1030am . Even though I had to come back the next day to get my car fix, I felt my car would be taking care of. While I was waiting for my car to be fix. John was always giving me a update on the car as well As small talks and jokes, very professional. Over all highly recommend bring your car here 10/10. The only issues I have is the price but the experience I received here is hands down way better than NYC, the workers the service and the professionalism so on point.

An appointment at 9:30 am. I just wanted an oil change. at 12:00 pm to find out they had not yet seen the car. it was park in the same spot I find out the paper service was on the counter they never process it. I cancelled the service I will never go there again. What’s the point behind the appointment? . Otherwise, there’s zero chance we’ll be recommending this place.

Went there cause car was making noise theybtold me it was brakes sprayed and sent on my way. Noise continued when i left... Tire fell off I doubt it was driven cause they would have felt and heard rhe noise. Wish i wasnt 80 miles from home would had turned around as soon as i heard it but really wanted to get home specially waiting 2.5 hours for them to just look at the car.

Completely confusion. Last year I had a complete exhaust system bolted up installed. Two main bolts we never tightened and fell off. I arrived early additionally purchased lifetime alignment during the purchased I was promised they will apply a 10% discount. After waiting over two hours I noticed my car was never put on the alignment lift . The broken English mechanic forgot but lied he did the alignment. I went to pay for the unlimited lifetime alignment and he denied promising a 10% rebate . After driving off I knew immediately they didnt even touch the alignment. Bridgeport avoid this location completely or you may have a devistating disaster later .

I originally bought the Starfire Solaris and they were very loud on the hiway so I took them back to pep boys and Derek the Manager let me choose the Goodyear Assurance tires and i am totally happy with these tires as they are very quiet. Derek and John were both very nice to me and never did Derek give me a hard time about bringing the Solaris tires back. I give these gentlmen 5 stars for customer service they gave!

8 am appointment for battery. 1 hr later car is where I parked it. Why get a appointment. Going on two hrs. Guy now at counter has no mask on. Finally out after 2 and 1/2 hours.When I was younger I could change a battery out in 15 minutes.dont understand why they make appointments when the mechanics dont show up till 9:00 and you have at 8:00 appointment

Had an appointment at 2:30 pm. All I wanted was an oil change and break check. Called at 4:45 pm to find out they had not yet seen the car. My husband cancelled the service and just picked up the car. What’s the point behind the appointment? Btw the 1 star is only for the young man at the counter who checked the car in because he was polite. Otherwise, there’s zero chance we’ll be recommending this place.

I go there too often lol because I have an older car so there’s always something that is broken. Each time I go I am treated with respect and excellent customer service. They are very professional and polite. I have no problem with their work as well; I have never went back for a reoccurring issue. They always tell me how much time the job would take so I know if I should stay and wait or not. For the most part I’ve always dealt with Keith and Randy and they are great! Thanks guys!

Do not go to this place. I took my car in for a couple basic services - oil change, tire rotation, and a flat tire fix. The flat couldnt be fixed and no one bothered to call me to let me know. I came back after two hours to pick it up to find out they had only done the oil change (and werent even done with it). It took 25 minutes to check out and get my keys back because no one was at the service desk and when they finally came back they opted to help the people behind me in line first.To top it off, I took my car to Firestone to get the tire replaced and they informed me that EVERY single bolt holding my tires on had been stripped. I put the spare on myself so I know for a fact they were not all stripped before I took my car to Pep Boys.

Service was quick, with scheduled appt. Their store capacity is 30 as of right now, but the store is so wide and big, its hard to tell how many people are actually in there. My appt. Was 10-11pm and they did it in that time frame, for a good price.

The guys working here went above and beyond to take good care of my car- which I especially appreciate since I needed to go to them as an emergency appointment since Im living away from my normal mechanic. I originally went in for an alignment issue and they ended up assessing some other issues that needed to be fixed. They educated me on the issues so as to ensure I understood what needed to be taken care of. My car is now running so much more smoothly. They also were able to work around my work schedule to accommodate my needs- theyre the best!

The staff was friendly and helpful, tried expediting the 2.5 hour tire install I was waiting for. Pepboys.com says average tire install is 45-60 minutes. It shouldnt take 2.5 hours to install tires with an appointment.

Very rude, discourteous, I went with my son to this store to purchase rims $700! I left my car there and no call back, I went a few hours later to find out the car hasn’t even been touched. Cancelled my purchase the attendant there could care less, no apologies he just said do you what you want. EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Drew and his team (Tyrell, Henry, Taylor and repair tech Carson) have been patient, thoroughly explaining what is wrong with the car, the parts/labor it will need; they are prompt in notifying me when parts will be in (when parts needed to be ordered to repair my car) and even provided a ride to/from work when a repair required that they keep my car for more than a day. The only reason why I gave them 4 out of 5 stars is because I have several rewards/coupons that expire way too quickly, before I am able to use them towards larger costs (like brakes, tires, etc). Otherwise, the service staff and repairs completed have been very good!

This is the place to go if you are having trouble with you vehicle!!! I was having a problem with my vehicle and was nervous about what the diagnosis would be. The staff at this location was extremely calming and helpful. I was only in there for about an hour and a half which is the fastest Ive ever been helped in regards to my vehicle. Driving back from Brooklyn back to Boston, I had two tires blowout on me. The tow truck was expected to get to Pep Boys after closing. Andrew and Taylor kept the store open for me and were very accommodating to my situation. Ive taken my van here a few times for routine maintenance. The staff are friendly and dont push anything extra on you. The work is always completed efficiently, but I havent had anything major done. The quotes for bigger things always seem fair, though. I just cant speak to my satisfaction of them. As an auto parts store its also s great place to go.

So took my car there for tires. I dont trust a lot of places with my car since I had bad experiences. But guy named Andrew works there and he hooked me up. Was nice, told me about all tire deals, told me about all the roadside assistance. Plus my car is really lowered and he made sure the car went in and out with out a problem. Car went in perfect and came out perfect. Rims that I had bought were put on with out a scratch. Deffintly recommend pep boys and make sure you go see Andrew. Not only will he make sure your car is done right by his great amazing team but he will make sure the car is taken care of.

Prior to this year my experience as a regular was exemplary. However it seems that management and staff have been removed or replaced. It just went downhill from there. Had my car towed in for engine work (timing belt). After a week of calling for updates on repair I was told they dont do engine work at this location. Why did it take 7 days of me calling back and forth to find this out? They lost my cosmetic engine cover plate during engine checks and diagnosis and left all other covers and screws in the trunk and let me drive home with the engine mounts loose. Will never go back again. Had to tow the car and have the remaining repair done elsewhere. I did receive a refund after speaking with corporate so Im grateful for that.

I am a busy full-time student and worker who had purchased two new tires to be replaced in the front my 2007 Jeep Liberty since my old tires had been worn out. I asked all the questions that I felt were relevant to job being done such as the estimated time of the service as well as the rate for the job being done.As I am waiting, one of the service writers asks if I would like to switch my old back tires to the front and replace the new tires in the back, which I declined because the back tires did NOT need to be touched. I was completely ignored and my tires got switched anyway.I was later informed that it was the stores policy to put old tires in the front while putting the new tires in the back. Had I been informed of this early, I would not have agreed to have the service done. Ive been scammed. Ive been taken advantage of as a woman. Ive been inconvenienced. I would not recommend for any person with sense to have service provided for them by Pep Boys.

Visited on 10/15/17. I’ve read a few negative reviews about long wait times and a few good reviews so I decided to give them a try. I came in this morning when they opened at 9am for a lug but that was stripped. Was the second customer in the store. I had my family with me and told the associate there that I had them with me and if they could do it quick. They said no problem. 4 hours later they just started on the work. The problem is we were waiting 4 hours in the store assuming they were working on the car when they weren’t. The normal thing to do would be to tell the customer that it would take longer than expected. But it seems like most auto repair places operate with little logic and no regard for customers. Do yourself a favor and AVOID ALL PEP BOYS. They are all the same.Its now 230pm. A full 5 1/2 hrs and still not done. This is 2.5 hrs after they said they were almost done with 30 mins to go.What is PEP BOYS going to do with an email to there customer service?? Absolutely nothing is the answer.

Today the staff was kind enough to service my car without any animosity towards me after arriving only a few minutes before closing. My car tire received a flat the night before and I drove home on the flat which caused the tire to be nonexistent 😩🤦🏽‍♀️ I asked my son’s father to change the tire for me but because the nubs are swollen it needed a power tool to removed them. Thus, I didn’t know how I was going to reach the auto shop to get a new tire. I didn’t want this situation to cost me an arm and a leg so I was a little hesitant to call a tow truck. Long story short, I did end up calling a tow truck which I found out later was free because I bought a tire. 😁This was a true emergency and they didn’t turn me away. Thank you 😊

Slowest service ever, even with an appointment. I witnessed others after me without appointments getting their cars serviced before the ones with appointments. Seems like they run a self-serving gig on the side, otherwise why non-appointment services are getting done before the ones with appointments. My appointment was for 9am and my car went into the service bay at 10:42am, and still waiting at the time of writing this review!? What’s the value of having an appointment?

They overcharge for everything they do. Not only are they most expensive for labor, they mark up the parts they use up to 95%. So that $35 part becomes a $70 part. Went there for a job that they quoted me almost $6500 for that I got quoted $2600 somewhere else. Not to mention, they take SO LONG to do ANYTHING. Getting new tires? Expect to spend 4+ hours there. Oil change? 2 hours or more.Save yourself time and money and just go elsewhere.

Took my car to get a emissions and oil change nothing was wrong my car ABSOLUTELY NOTHING picked up my car and all of a sudden I turn my steering wheel and its making a clunking noise which never happened prior to me taking it to this place. Called on Saturday August 10th because I needed a new Alternator and they made me an appointment for the next day at 10am and sent me an email confirmation. So because I’m from out of town, I made it very clear to them I needed my car back in a timely manner and he said there was only one person in front of me. So I booked a hotel for the night and before I went back on Sunday August 11th, I called to make sure my car was ready and the guy told me it was almost done, and that was at noon. So I proceeded to check out of the hotel and make my way over to Pepboys to only find out that my car wasn’t ready and not only that, but they didn’t even have the part for my car. When they finally got the part for my car, they didn’t start on my car until after 3pm and when they finally finished it they decided to tell me at the end of the day that my car needed another repair, so make sure that I go to another mechanic while I’m on the road. But I left my car there and told them to fix it and that he should’ve told me about this while the car was apart and let me decide what I want to do. So now this guy is going to basically charge me double for what he should of done right from the start.... I’m extremely dissatisfied and l will be contacting the corporate office about this situation...I’ve been dealing with Pepboys for a long time and I’ve never had a problem like this before but these people in Connecticut have really dropped the ball, I can’t wait to get back to FLORIDA...Update Keith the manager called me at 8:30am the next morning and apologized for the inconvenience, however my car was supposed to ready by 12:30pm but we didn’t get there until 1:15pm. Yes he said he would call when it was done however we had nowhere to go because we were on our way home to Florida. So we did a late check out at the hotel already but if the manager would’ve called me and said they got the wrong part and they had to reorder the part, I would’ve went to lunch rather then sit over there for 3 more hours. Once I finally got my car it was basically 4 o’clock and it cost about 360 something dollars. So we finally get back on the road and we’re driving for a few hours we drive through New York we’re in traffic for a couple hours and then traffic starts moving and we’re hitting bumps and hitting bumps and then our car starts basically almost stalling in the road on the highway and it starts revving in and almost stalling and revving and stalling so we finally we have to pull over because we have no idea what’s going on The check engine light comes on and that’s weird because we literally just left Pep Boys so we’re like what in the world is going on so we google another Pep Boys so we stop in New Jersey at 2525 Route 22 W. Union New Jersey and then we find out the throttle cable wasn’t tightened up properly from Connecticut. So basically we could’ve died on the highway because they didn’t properly tighten this throttle cable which was like the oxygen for the gas and stuff. But I guess I’ll blame that on the fact that the mechanic had a girl hanging around his bay station where it’s his work station, so basically he shouldn’t have had nobody hanging around the bay he should’ve been concentrating more on the car rather than having a girl hanging around the his work station rather than messing around with her and I’m sure they can see the tapes or whatever showing that from the time that we got there, from time that we left that store she was hanging around the bay rather than him dealing with our car they were too busy messing around. They could’ve killed me and my kid so I’m pretty upset and not to mention all the money it set me back between hotels, food and maintenance and it wasn’t even done right.....

Have been here for 2 hours for my pre-scheduled appointment to have new tires put on. Supposed to be 1 - 1.5 hrs. At 1.45 rs found car up on lift with no one there working on it. Questionned why? Told are working on it and but tires not brought in yet. No apologies. Waiting room was full when I arrived for appointment; room was empty except for me when I questionned. Cant even comment on the finished job but dont expect customer service in Bridgeport.

Poor service, lazy staff.No one in the store when I arrived. It took them over 10 minutes to ask me what I needed. Then both had a bad attitude all working on a Monday.I will be going else where for my auto parts. 😡

Sat, Sept 29 at 5:09pm Today I went to purchase everything to do an oil change for my Nissan 2018. I ask a lady for the package they offer. She didnt know anything about it. She then ask another worker who did not give her a clear answer. Then she asked a another guy who said they need this and that bla bla just kept walking and didnt help us. We left. Owner go ahead check your cameras so you can see the worst customer service being given to a customer. Im never ever going back nor recommending you guys to anyone! By the way in shopping on Auto zone right now and they were so nice to us that they made my day today. Read well. I aint emailing anyone, I dont want any resolution. Learn well once a unhappy customer is gone is gone FOREVER!
