Camp sites are well taken care of.my daughter loves the updated playground.there is mini golf.this place is so much fun. Hopefully they will get a pool one day its the only thing they dont have is swimming on premises. Also the mini golf needs some help it was in rough shape.

This is a very nice campground perfectly situated in the middle of the cape. There’s a whole seasonal section separated from the the rest, and also a large tent only area. We were traveling in a 22’ travel trailer and stayed 3 nights. Mostly wooded sites vary widely in size and layout and degree of privacy, but for the most part are pretty good. Our site A-24 (E/W) was just barely large enough for our trailer and vehicle, but was cozy and fairly private. There are also several sites that can accommodate big rigs with full hookups. Facilities and grounds were very clean. Nice little camp store. Definitely recommend calling and telling them what you like. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful (and very popular) campground. Our first stay here and we already have reservations for 2 visits next year. Clean and quiet. People are very respectful of quiet times even over a holiday weekend. There are staff on-site all the time and they are friendly and helpful. Restrooms are always clean. The only negative is there is no on-site laundry facility but there is an excellent laundromat over in Dennis Port if you need one (we stayed for a month).

Sweatwater forest is everything me and my family could hope for! If you are looking for an awesome campground in the middle of the cape definitely stay here. The camp sites are very private and there is so much to do here, from all the many playgrounds to free mini golf, and minutes from a lot of beaches and parks. The staff has been amazing and super friendly, you can tell they care about your stay being enjoyable. My family and I live almost 4 hours away from here and I would definitely have no problem making the drive to come back to this place! Were so happy here!!

Weve been going there for 16 years or more and weve visited friends at other Campgrounds on the Cape. This is by far the best. Quiet hours are quiet, Bathrooms are clean and staff is kind and accommodating. Its right off the bike trail and great swimming is only a mile a way by bike. Heather and her crew run a great business.

Our family had such a great time. We had a tent and loved the location. There was so much privacy and we were able to bike right on over to the CCRT. The staff was kind and welcoming. The quiet hours were quiet-much more so than other places weve been to-we also loved the theming of the gnomes! Our kids loved the little playground, and it wasnt buggy like other camping locations have been. Also, the overall camp location lent itself to visiting other areas easily. Weve already booked for next year! (Also, we loved how many people made it a point to share that theyve been coming to this campground for years, some for three generations-there was a lot of pride in the campers and it was such a kind atmosphere!)

I have been to a dozen campgrounds or so this summer, and this place is so far my favorite!! I was at site A-23 with my camper, and I think that is the best site in the place. Highly recommend. It was easy to get to, easy to park, level, large site, wooded all around, and very private from anyone else. There was lots of camp roads to walk my dog, and I felt very safe doing it at night. Even the season trailers are very well kept, clean, and look quite nice. I also very much enjoyed kayaking in the pond. The free air for my tires was a nice added bonus. Close to many things on the Cape. Good cell and internet service.Only downside was the water temperature in the showers was pretty warm and not hot, but everything else was so great.

Overall the campground was nice. One thing I really appreciated was the thoroughness of the cleaning staff in the bathroom! The bathrooms were a mess from campers but after the two gentlemen were done it was spotless! Loved that I never had to wait for a shower. I do wish you could swim in the lake but we saw a snapping turtle which was cool too! My only dislike was how I felt we were camping in a ditch lol. The layout of the campground for tents was just odd...we were close together with our neighbors and we were located in a big downhill. Driving around I see that the tent sites located near the pond were much better and more privacy. The campstore was adorable and fairly priced. Overall good experience. :)

Weve been going to this campground for several years -- many times with our grandkids. Its a beautiful campground -- rolling hills, lots of shade, and large campsites. It is the kind of homey, laid-back, place we enjoy. They have a very basic mini-golf but our grandkids love it. This year, while going to our campsite via a wrong way that they had sent us down, I hit a tree stump that tore out our sewer connections. The owner and his son repaired it within a few hours at no charge. Our grandkids look forward to going to the Cape and staying at Sweetwater Forest Campground.

Were from Alabama on our way to Canada and stopped here for The Cape. This is a really NICE campground and the staff are super friendly. They keep everything in top notch shape and theres plenty to do, if you stay around the campground. Theres playgrounds and miniature golf. Our hookups were at the front of the camper, so have some longer cords and hoses. The price is an excellent value for where your at. Wed stay here again for sure.

We have stayed there in the past, and returned there last October during the pandemic. The campground and staff are very nice. However, this time, we were completely inundated with ticks. Every time we took our two small dogs out for their walk, we had to remove multiple ticks from them. I would not go back unless the tick issue is rectified.

We have traveled across the country with our camper trailer and dogs, and have stayed at countless campgrounds. If you truly want a camping experience - despite being in an RV - this is the place. The sites are the best I’ve witnessed. They were quiet and freshly raked, and level. They were private and afforded easy backups. We were on the side of a hill and it was like being by ourselves, despite having plenty of neighbors. We didn’t have septic, but they had a convenient dump site.It was properly quiet when it had to be, but had the vibes of a bygone era when it was appropriate. The staff was hands-off and genuine, and you can’t beat the location. We’ve stayed at two other campgrounds on the Cape since, which has caused me to circle back and give Sweetwater Forest the 5 Star rating they deserve.Simply put by an experienced camper - The Best!

Great Camping on Cape Cod. Just returned from a week stay here. Was very impressed with the campground. Sites had relatively good separation and privacy. Campground was very clean and all sites are promptly raked when one checks out. Enjoyed that the campground was very quiet and peaceful at night. Walked the campground and it is very large. Good options for tent campers too as there were secluded sites in the tent section. Nice camp store and dog day care too! Do not be put off by the website. Campground is much nicer than it looks online. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Cape Cod. Only possible negative is main entrance is about a 1/4 mile long dirt road and can get quite dusty.

Good campground. Love that they offer canoe rentals and have a general store. The staff were very good and exceptionally professional. Pointed out the number to call if there was an issue at night so they could deal with it. MY mistake was not dialing that into my phone for easy access. The couple that were camping just across from us were fine the first night, but remarkably clueless the next night. Quiet hours are from 9:00 on; I had to pay this couple a visit as I was not able to sleep. NOT a reflection on the campsite. Just something to pass on...

Just returned from a great time at Sweetwater Forest with my family. Good location, close to Brewster beaches, tucked back away from traffic, and unlike other campgrounds, they actually have a very nicely wooded campground. This is a large, family-owned campground nestled among the hills and trees. It is centrally located on Cape Cod. The office and camp store are well equipped and staffed. It has some facilities and events for kids and families, though I did not use these. The campsites are rather artfully placed among the trees and hills. Even though they are rather close together, they don’t feel crowded. I really liked my site on Loop C. Facilities were above average, restrooms very clean and roomy. All in all, this is a great campground. My only real annoyance is the half-mile or so of bumpy gravel road at the entrance. I recommend this facility to others and will return if ever in the area again.

We camped for 8 wonderful days in our 45] Entegra Cornerstone; this is a big rig for this vintage style campground; no rows of camp site here. Every site has its won nestled in the woods location and the shade make the site cool during the day and night. The owners were over the top accommodating. First, they provided us a double site for our rig. Second, I had some maintenance issues which Jim and Brian (the father and son owners) helped me with. They wouldnt take money for helping me so I got even by leaving their daughter an envelope with some cash and a note of thanks. This place provide real New England Hospitality.

Campground has nice tent spots. If the campground was packed you would never get in the showers being there is only two showers. Camp store has most things you need but seems to close earlier than it is suppose to so get there early. There is nowhere else around here to get wood except the camp store and your not aloud to pick up wood off the ground. The severel playground in the park are run down and have high grass surrounding them, the only good playground is by the camp store. The game room closes at the same time as the store which is earlier than anywhere Ive ever camped. Also, quiet time is at 9 which is earlier than most places and this campground you have to have your fires out by 11:30 or you could get your fire permit pulled and you will not be able to have a fire.Website for this place is terrible. Mostly information not related to the campground like the history of this place and way to many photos that look outdated. Also, they have no activities for kids on the weekend.

Traveling in a 38 foot coach we stayed 7 nights in a site for big rigs. The site we had was on sand and dirt, and not level. If it had rained our sand pad would have been a sand pit and we would not have been able to get out. Is it that hard to put a little gravel down? Big coaches need gravel! After seven nights we were as dirty as can be due to the vehicles going by on the dusty road. No Wifi anywhere other than the office area. We were on the closest site to the office and could not pick up any wifi signal but sure did pick up the smell of garbage from the dumpsters right in front of our site. Our satellite did not work here (way to many large trees to get reception). If you have a dog there is ample area to walk. If you are looking for a dust free park…. look somewhere else.

SWEETWATER LEAVES BITTER TASTE....My parents and I (21 years old) stayed here in August of 2016. We found the campground to be nice and quiet, but not very friendly. In addition, there is no public swimming in the campground even though there is a pond (disappointing, but not a deal breaker). The BIG deal breaker was when the owner threatened to kick us out of the campground because we had a complaint about management. He tried to intimidate my parents and threw his trash in our fire place before driving off in a rage. We did not get kicked out, but we left early due to displeasure. We will not be returning to Sweetwater.**NOTE there was never an offer for a refund. Again, I will say that they threatened to kick us out. In addition, there was no fire ever found nor dealt with. Safety for all was jeopardized due to the careless nature of the fire response team.

Staff are terribly rude there. And after reading thru reviews here, you can see how rude they are to people who say theyre rude. Its almost comical, theyre so disrespectful to customers - just read their responses to people who complain. The only thing they have going for them is the dog kennel (and the playground). Camp sites are squished, the campground was loud at night, despite calls at 2 a.m., still loud, drunk people and the worst part, the staff. They were just so rude to everyone. Awful. I overheard a woman who worked there screaming at a child for running on grass in front of the office. Yeah, wont be back there ONLY because of how rude they are.

It was an ok campground. The sites are a positve because they are secluded and quiet, but ours had no level area for a tent. The campground has a strict noise policy which was very much appreciated and emforced. The bathrooms were very disgusting and dirty. I was horrified by the mold and slime in the showers. They may be free, but you will not feel clean after using them!!! The playgrounds are very old and run down, but the campstore did have a good (but pricey) selection. Very pretty views of an old cranberry bog and a pond. Lots of birds and other wildlife. My advice to the owner: please take reviews as constructive criticism and respond with respect instead of rudely in a way that turns off potential customers.

In early August, we drove up from Florida in our MH and when we arrived at Sweetwater Forest were told there was no reservation. The fault was ours so here we were after a long days drive and a full park. Problems are when the good companies shine and shine these nice folks did. They got us parked and we ended up having a wonderful family reunion. Will definitely be back next summer as soon as my brothers let us know the dates of the 2018 Reunion. This is a really nice wooded campground. Our MH was 40 so it was a bit tight getting in and out but take your time, there were plenty of nice people to help us get tucked into our spot for the visit. They helped us get hooked up (no pun intended) with a great striper fishing trip. My only word of caution has NOTHING to do with this great place. Plan to arrive / leave on the cape on a weekday as the Sagamore & Bourne Bridges are extra narrow lanes and you need to take up both when you cross these bridges onto the cape. 5 Stars A+++
