Customer service is lacking and the people who come in and pack your house do not do a very good job of packing your stuff. Then they charge you for using your own television boxes also. All that said; the people who come and actually move your household goods for you are awesome and I would recommend them any day to anyone. Great crew who take extra care of your items and ensure nothing gets scratched or damaged. Would give the company five stars if the customer service people answering phones were a little more positive and the packers paid a little more attention to their job. All in all it was a pleasant experience but for the amount of money paid it needs to be a little better.

Great service! People both on the phone and in person were friendly and professional. Our storage container was delivered quickly and picked up exactly when they said it would be. Will definitely use again!

They have zero care of the costumer satisfaction, the left my couch outside. The employees are very rude. They don’t keep their appointments. They deliver your furniture, when ever they want. Worst service ever. Don’t pay them until they finish unloading your furniture. That the mistake I did. Hopeless company ever dealt with. I won’t recommend to anyone. Im a united driver and I ran into a problem because the navy base here wouldnt let me go on even though I have a federal ID and a spotless background. They sent a crew that could get on base so I could stay on schedule and loaded my trailer. Not many agents I would consider driving for but with how proactive and helpful they were I would drive for them in a heartbeat. Thanks again for all your help and the 3 guys in dispatch deserve a raise.

It started with Bobby showing up for the packing on day 1. He was awesome. Great guy, friendly and easy going, did an outstanding job packing, AND keeping it organized. Cant say enough about how good of a job he did, by far the best weve ever had for multiple moves. Alex (who also loaded and drove the truck) showed up to help him finish the second day, and was just as good, incredibly friendly, and pre staged it to make loading Monday even easier. It was Alex again with Jerit (not sure if I spelled that right) for the load and unload, and just as the previous days, were great. There were also two ladies from the office (I assume), I believe Natalie and Megan, who made sure to keep us informed of times and such. Overall there is absolutely nothing negative about it, all positive, and I want to make sure Bobby, Alex, and Jerit hear how awesome they were. Dont just tell them when something is wrong!!Thank you guys!

Andrew, John and their team were amazing! They were very personable and worked very hard to make our deadlines. They packed all our belongings including some very fragile pieces. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. I called last minute and Sarah was very accommodating to our small office needs and schedule with patients. They were able to come within hours unexpectedly. We previously had movers about 2 weeks prior and it was not a good experience at all. John and Dominic were nothing short of amazing! They communicated and problem solved with 3 extremely heavy items. They talked different strategies out and decided on a way to execute. Their execution was perfect. What we expected to be a stressful situation turned out to be a very delightful and productive in a very short time span. My boss was very worried because of the meaning of the items being moved. John made her feel very lax and comfortable with his skills. I did appreciate the follow up phone call from Sarah checking to see how everything went. We recommend them to everyone who has the smallest job to the biggest.

I would rate the team that prepared, packed and moved us and our cars as a 20 out of 10! We moved at 80 years old from WA state to Texas. We had a 30 day escrow. We were overwhelmed. Our rep was responsive to our needs, our concerns and our general well being. The packing team was efficient, courteous and thorough. My parents recently moved. My dad had an iPad sitting in 1 of there dresser drawer. They discovered it was missing. Thier employee 1 of them steals. Cops were called&filled complaint with company. Can they finger who? Cant trust this company, dont use thier service. As well they dropped the dresser going up the stairs damaged it and put a hole in the wall. My dad was nice about it to say he would fix the hole himself but now after the theft was a mistake!

The guys that help unload our truck were very professional and had a great sense of humor. Loved dealing the office personnel, very friendly and helpful. I recommend the go minis, made our move much easier than using a moving van.

We had a great crew to move us out as well as move us back in (after 6 months in storage). I did most of the packing but they took care of the large art and TV. Gave them a bit of a challenge with our 2 kayaks and very heavy sleeper sofa but they rose to the challenge. Nothing was damaged and they were extremely friendly and professional. I’ve already recommended them to others.

United Moving and Storage provided us with packers for our move from Washington State to Washington, DC. The packers were excellent and we had no damage from our move. In addition to being good at packing, they were just all around nice guys! Thanks Dennis, Bobby, and Lucas for the care you took packing up our household goods!

6/6/20 update. As you see in the owner’s response below, they are hiding behind the paper the tenants signed after packing was completed. The packers stacked the boxes against the wall that was damaged and the tenants didn’t move the boxes to inspect the walls because they didn’t see any reason to do so. The lesson here is to make sure that your packers stack boxes away from walls so that you can see any damage. Having not received any call back from the claims person with whom I left a voicemail on Wednesday, I stopped in their office on Friday 6/5/20 and was met with much defensiveness and the hiding behind the release signed by the tenants. I would never use this business. If they cannot even own some sheetrock damage, I can only imagine the shields they’d put up if they damaged a clock or a piano or artwork, where serious money could be involved.6/3/20 I manage a rental property in Bremerton for a friend who lives elsewhere. Today his tenants were moving out and United Moving and Storage is the mover. I went over to do the move out walkthrough and noted that a wall had sustained sheetrock damage that I know was caused by either the packers or movers because I was personally installing a sheetrock patch there on Sunday and know exactly the condition of the wall. Monday the packers came, and today, Wednesday, was loadout day. I pointed it out to the movers who said the packers must’ve done it, and they called the office. The tenant also called since he’s the customer. Later, the tenant called and told me that United is denying any responsibility. This is ongoing and I am now awaiting a call back from the claims department. I don’t appreciate dishonesty in businesses and that’s what’s happening here.

I highly recommend moving with United! The whole experience was smooth and very professional. Ben, Quintin and John worked so well together and completed our move in record time. It was affordable and our final cost was even less than the estimate, what a nice surprise!

Ben came out and gave me an estimate. When I agree to reserve the move, he said someone would call me for details. When I did not hear from anyone, I called and left a message. The next day Ben called and ASSURED my date was secure. When I still did not hear from the office, I called them. They said I was reserved for a date 5 days later than I had planned! This was terrible for us. My husband was scheduled to leave for an assignment the day they scheduled. I had already made arrangements for the utilities to go off in our old place, and on in the new. I am so glad I could quickly and efficiently book with Hill Moving Services, not only could they book us right away, they were available to move us a day before our originally scheduled date.

A first class moving company. Excellent and honest estimator. Moving crew easy to work with, did all that was expected, placed everything were asked in new residence and did not break or damage one single item. Very pleased and would use again.

I am giving a bad review because nothing has gone right with this company from the start and I feel like we were mislead. We were given a very low quote and then when the movers arrived the charge ended up to be nearly double. At the time to pay the movers the deposit, we were told to put the earliest date possible that we may be ready to receive the furniture. We were told not to worry, we would get a call prior to delivery and if we werent ready it was no big deal, you had a month free storage. We had to wait for closing so I allowed a few weeks and put a date that I thought would work out. I received a call asking if a earlier delivery date would work, and I declined. I never received a call to reschedule until the day before the truck was arriving. The house closed later than we anticipated and funds were in transit. I didnt have enough cash available that day and tried to call to see if we could arrange another option. The person I talked to was very short and not nice. She basically said either pay cash when the driver arrives or you will be charge a storage and re-delivery fee. No trying to help. They would not accept any other form of payment - only cash or cashiers check. Plus, the mover dropped a couch into the wall and offered $100 deduction to fix the wall or we could file a claim. We cannot file a claim until the furniture is delivered and who knows how long that will take to resolve. Not happy with this company and cannot recommend them to anyone.

Not sure why they only have 2 stars. They were extremely polite and helpful throughout the entire move. The movers showed up on time, were quick and efficient, and had our entire move done within 4 hours saving us almost $500 from the original estimate. Nothing was broken, damaged, or scratched, and they offered to move anything in the house if we didnt like the placement before they left.I would definitely use them again.

We were lied to from the start on our delivery date estimate, and I have it in writing. Downright sleazy business model, the estimates were low by over 30%, and that even after I overestimated EVERYTHING (accurately itemized) by about 25%. We’re still waiting for our stuff and have been told it’ll be 3-4 weeks instead of the 1 week that was promised.Do yourself a favor: take a uhaul or pay for an actual A-to-B moving company.

This company is absolutely terrible. My husband and I moved across the country. Before our items even arrived, we noticed movies were being purchased on our Amazon Firestick (which should have been packed up with all our belongings). It turns out one of the United employees STOLE our Amazon Firestick!! The company acted concerned at first and said they would file a police report, but later told us it was our responsibility to do so. Upon delivery, I noticed a handful of our items were destroyed in the move, including our sectional couch. There are over 10 black scuffs all over the couch and most of the corners are ripped open and frayed. Both the movers who delivered the couch and the company inspector told us the couch was in extremely poor condition & was probably not repairable, and that we would be reimbursed for a new one. A MONTH later, we heard that we will not get a new couch but instead will receive a lousy $800 for the couch to be reupholstered and cleaned. This is 100% not an ok solution. We should not have to fight so hard to get our items back in their original condition. I would expect much more care and compassion from a moving company who destroyed our items & stole from us!! Do NOT use United!!EDIT: The company has posted below and said I am not a customer. That is 100% incorrect. The moving information was under my husband’s name, so that is why my name is not showing up under the account. I will NOT be removing my review and stand by my original statement.

I used United Moving for a recent move simply because Hill Movers did not return my phone call or follow through with a moving quote after I did reach them. I had used Hills in the past. What a difference this experience was! Teri met me at my place to give me a detailed quote, an email with her photo was sent to me the day before so I knew who to look for, a quote came two days later, a move coordinator was assigned, Pam. and she followed my move from start to finish. It was a pleasant experience with professional and friendly people on all ends. My driver, Lance, was just about the nicest guy ever! Should I ever need to assistance of a mover again - I wont hesitate to call United Moving and would recommend them to anyone!

I would recommend this unit to anyone needing help getting moved. I had to get stuff packed and moved from 2 houses, in another state. This United office helped find a mover in the other state, and then coordinated the entire move. Later, they also arranged the pick up and transport to my home state on the days that would cost me the least amount of money. They actually saved me 3 thousand dollars!! They really know what customer service is, and everyone I came in contact with was a Christian. If you want the best possible move outcome, you need not look anywhere else.

I have moved numerous times. This was by far the worst move I have experienced. I purchased replacement insurance. A piece of furniture was broken. I assumed it would be repaired. No, I was sent a check for 1/3 of my claim. After submitting the claim it took 2 months to be settled--unsatisfactorily. Items were left behind at my house and I was told it was my fault. I use a walker and have a hard time with stairs, but that didnt matter. Beware! Dont use this company!!!

Hired this company on recommendation of real estate agent.Move consisted of moving household goods 4 miles.Elected to not take additional insurance as extra cost was $480 .Movers very careless-dropped a heirloom Bonnet Top High Boy; broke key off of wine cooler, broke a wicker chair leg, and a dining room chair leg.The cost to replace the dinning room chair is $369 and they offered $12based on 20 lbs (weight of chair)times 60 cents/pound.Base insurance reimburses damage at 60 cents per pound-Would never use again because of their carless handing of goods.Perhaps the workers are more careful if they know the client has paid for extra insurance and they are probably somewhat accountable for insurance claims.Workers were courteous, worked hard without frequent breaks-The move took place end of June, 2017. The time to process a claim took in excess of 4 months. Total compensation offered was $60 again based on weight of damaged goods times 60 cents per pound. The claim adjusters first letter asks recipient to return check if not satisfied along with explanation of why the client believes special consideration is warranted.I did that and it took and additional 2 months and the response from the client was completely non responsive. Just recited the bill of lading terms.No expression of any responsibility.You have been forewarned.

Move itself was uneventful, quick and efficient. The reason for 4 rating was that I later discovered the drawers in the bed itself (under the bed frame)were not placed in their normal positions, thus sticking and not closing properly and thus will need to be repositioned.That problem could easily have been prevented by tagging which drawer goes into which place before moving.The bed and headboard covered the electrical outlet making connections with built in lighting systems very difficult and since the connections in the back were not reconnected, half the lights do not work. I can live with that albeit somewhat reluctantly. These are minor issues. No damage done to furniture nor the new location.

HOLY HELL THIS IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY. Lets just start out with this. My husband is aboard the USS Carl Vinson. We moved from San Diego to Bremerton two weeks ago. Our shipment was supposed to also arrive two weeks ago. Theyre excuse? The driver from CA was late. I get it, things arent on time. BUT HE WASNT TWO WEEKS LATE. United Moving decided that because he was late, they were going to take their time. Meaning I dont have our bed, pots & pans, cooking utensils including all my plates, bowls, silverware and cups. I dont have any of my linens and a variety of other household goods. The people who work with you are also an absolute joke. Our coordinator was Carrie, who mislead us multiple times. She promised it would be here the next week just a lot later (Friday, Jan 4th or Saturday, the 5th.) But wait! It could also be there Monday, the 7th! Did it come?? Nope! We also were told our things had JUST gotten there monday and even BETTER! Carrie wasnt even in office, even though she said she would call us Monday morning! She decided to go on vacation. It took me calling 7 times for ANYONE to call me back! So flash forward to today. I was told two days ago that our things would be here today, the 10th. Yesterday was informed it would be here between 8 - 8:30 am. ITS 9:47! I called Sarah, whos an absolute waste of space, to ask where they were. The first call was at 8:33 and she said they left at 8 am so they should be there shortly. I said OK! Just a couple minutes passed, no worries. 9:30 rolls around and still no god damn movers. I call again JUST FOR HER TO TELL ME THAT THE DRIVER SAID HE WILL BE THERE BETWEEN 11-11:30. I have a dog who is a puppy and doesnt sleep well. My husband just left for a small deployment and I am alone in a town I dont know much less a home that is bare. I didnt fall asleep til 2 am, waking up at 7:30 to be ready. I am beyond furious. Screw this company. I promise a civil lawsuit will come from this.I finally received my delivery, James Potter and Brendan Stanford were amazing and also unaware of all of this. I was also informed that my delivery was pushed back due to lack of importance and that’s why they weren’t here at 8 am.

I hate doing reviews but Im not sure why they have all these negative reviews, these guys were awesome. They had like 5 stars all the way up to when I was about to hire, when the bad reviews popped up I got hesitant but I needed the help being pregnant and all and my husband deployed so I took a chance and dont regret it.So this was my first time actually hiring movers without the miltary covering it. We went from Bangor base in silverdale to a new house we purchased in Port Orchard. My quoter was Teri, she was wonderful, very pleasant and professional. Theyll have one of their quote people come by your moving location and take a look at what needs to be packed, and how much time it would take to load up everything, so you get a pretty accurate quote. We both knew the move would take no less than 6 hours but she quoted me for 8 hours just to be safe.They gave me the best quote out of everyone.When moving Day came my movers were Ben and Justin, they actually arrived an hour earlier than planned but that was totally fine with me, I wanted to get the move done as early as possible. I will say if you just pack everything yourself it saves you a lot of money, make sure to keep all your tvs boxes and cushions for it, buy mattress bags so they dont box them. I had everything packed and ready with the help of my family so I literally only paid labor. I think it took them 2.5-3 hours to load the truck. Then we drove over to port orchard and the unloading took maybe an hour ? So the moving portion was about 4 hours but then you have to pay them for travel time to and from their warehouse so that added 30 minutes each way. So I totaled a 5 hour move. Which wasnt bad at all. Saved me a few hours from the 8 hour quote. You only pay for the actual time you use. so if they quote you longer than you think it will take, its just a precaution in case something comes up and it does take longer.As for the movers themselves both men were very nice and professional, they moved quick. They did put like fabric pads on doors they were carrying things through, they had like a long red carpet at the entrance where they kept moving in and out of. They didnt drop anything, there were no damages to any of my boxes or furniture. It was a very successful move.I hope I never have to move again but if I ever do Id use them or refer them to a friend.
