Honey Hut Ice Cream is a small chain of ice cream shops in the northern Ohio area that specializes in small batch ice cream and serves pre-made pints, milkshakes, smoothies, sundaes and more! Their locations are small and the atmosphere is simple but cute with a bumble bee as their mascot. The ice cream we had was very good as both my wife and I had the flavors of the day. Service when we ordered was nice and prompt but before we came in, our group was sternly told to move to the side of the building because we were in the parking lot but we were not. More in detail below. Overall this would have been a 5 star experience had it not been for a rude employee but would definitely go back for some tasty ice cream.I had the banana peanut butter ice cream in a waffle cone and my wife had the vanilla bean crunch. My ice cream was a banana base ice cream with slivers of frozen peanut butter mixed through. The ice cream was smooth and the banana flavor was subtle but not overpowering. You can taste that they use real bananas and not just a flavoring. The peanut butter chips in the ice cream gave a wonderful complementing flavor and I love the way they melt in your mouth. I prefer this way of adding peanut butter to ice cream instead of a swirl or mixing it into the ice cream itself. The waffle cone was a generic cone you find almost anywhere so nothing special there. I had my wifes ice cream and it consisted of a vanilla ice cream base with finely chopped almonds and chocolate chips. The flavor was like eating chocolate dipped almonds with rich vanilla cream and it was delightful. There wasnt any big pieces so the bites only had a small amount of crunch which was soft. A great ice cream for those looking for something not too crazy but extra tasty.The employees inside were very busy as there was a rush of about 20-30 people who showed up when our group of 7 also arrived. The inside was packed and people were waiting outside with the door opened so we stayed back until there was room to get in line. We were waiting to the right of the door, out of the way from people walking out and nobody was in the parking lot. We had essentially taken the spot of the previous group that had went inside. We were waiting and had an employee come out and in an annoyed voice told us that we cant be waiting in the parking lot and to wait on the side of the building. We looked back and noticed a waiting area but there were no signs or anything that signified that was the line to wait at. I was shocked by this because she didnt say anything to the previous groups and as we were leaving there were others doing the exact same thing we were doing. Im not really sure why this employee took the time out of her day to come out and say something to us and not anyone else but it was uncalled for. Hence, this would have been a 5 star experience had it not been for her. Ice cream was good and the prices are reasonable for the quality but if you want customers to do something have better signage.Follow me for more reviews across America 😎🍔🦖🔧

So Ill tell you a little story . My wife and I were in Brecksville for a little mission to pick up a gift . We spotted this place and being 90 degrees we went in to try it out . They young ladies were very nice and helpful . The place is spotless . I could practically lick the floor 🙂 . The icecream is sweetened with honey . Its very dense for a lack of better words . I had the honey pecan which was delicious and my wife had the fresh banana which was also delicious . We would make a special trip to come back and for us thats little over half hour drive . If youre in the area cime in and see these nice young ladies and try out a few flavors youre not likely to be disappointed .

Celebrating another year around the sun with a longtime favorite - Butter Pecan sundae with their Honey Pecan ice cream. I grew up eating Honey Hut from the original (Old Brooklyn) and State Rd locations. The closest Honey Huts for me now are Solon and Brecksville. Of the many locations, their flavors are always spot on and consistent across the locations. This has really made my day!

Great homemade ice cream. They have all of your typical ice cream flavors as well as special flavors they make every day! Perfect for a summers night.

As always, delicious ice cream and very kind, friendly, and efficient staff. Highly recommend visiting if you never have. Pro tip: go to the brecksville one, get your ice cream, and immediately drive east - theres an entrance to the parks very close to there and you can enjoy your ice cream in peace.

Who doesnt love Honey Hut!?

Ive been coming here since I was born (as part of a family that passes on their honey hut love through the generations). This place holds so many memories. Right now, while there are no crowded lines where you stare at destroyer pictures and sit on the benches and tables with strangers on a summer night to enjoy your cones, Honey Hut continues to give delicious, mouth-watering ice cream as it shows care for the community by enforcing social distancing policies. Since the summer has really only begun, Ill definitely be back soon!

Although usually honey hut is a great experience, since the corona outbreak they have been slacking. My friend and I, after a long day of work, went to go enjoy some ice cream from our favorite spot where we go often but we were greatly disappointed. We were patient with the worker at the cash register but the machine was down and she blamed it on us, luckily i had my card but my friend had more money on her card and the lady blamed us i have never been so upset and unpleased from honey huts service. Also to top it all off we both ordered waffle cones, she said they had to put in a bowl also and we said okay they just placed to cone on top there wasn’t even enough ice cream to fill it on top.

Why go anywhere else for ice cream in the Brecksville area?? If you live in, or visit Brecksville, you have to get their special dish. Just ask. I love this place. If you like ice cream, and a small town atmosphere, this is the place for you.

Because there is no better or simpler description.Unique ice cream flavors, made with Honey (instead of processed sugar)... its such a decadent indulgence that it Almost makes you feel guilty.On my first visit, I had a scoop of Orange Blossom and a scoop of Honey Pecan... and I was Instantly thankful that my wife was not there to steal away my very own cone... My Precious.Anyway... if you pass by a Honey Hut and decide Not to go in for a bite -- Yes... That makes you a bad person. 😄

I love this place! They have an incredible assortment of flavors, the staff are always friendly and helpful, the ice cream is fantastic and comes in generous portions. Ive never had to wait too long even on hot days. Parking is a bit tight, but thats just the entire plaza they are in.

Excellent Cleveland area ice cream company. Very good unique flavors sticking to their theme of honey. Tried the honey Graham & coconut, both were amazing, great texture, mouth feel & not overly sweet. Excellent service & staff. Ill be back regularly

Don’t ever order a choc milkshake. Save your money and get a glass of chocolate milk. It will be thicker.

The Ice Cream was great. Did not appreciate the fact that the gentlemen behind me got his order before mine and we both ordered a Twister (I know why). My one order had been sitting out for at least 3 minutes on the counter. This was the Brecksville location. Did not have a problem at the Brook Park location.

Hands down (as they say) the best ice cream ever. Rich, creamy, and loaded with flavor. Chocolate-peanut butter with actual wedges of peanut butter? Yes!! Its a bit of a drive from where I live, but we sure dont mind the drive with that kind of reward. Clean, friendly and worth every penny! Oh, and there is a Little Free Library next door, too.

I was just there to get a twister this evening after my long walk in the park. While I did enjoy my twister, the reason I give my experience 3 stars is because the employees were not very friendly. I understand you might be having a bad day but as someone who works in the hospitality industry, I think you should have a smile on your face and be friendly when taking care of your guests. My mom was there a few months ago and said she had the same type of experience where her ice cream was good but the employees were not friendly. I will give this location of Honey Hut one more try when I have the craving but if I dont like my experience I will go somewhere else.

Its a great treat after hiking in the (very) nearby Brecksville Reservation. Tasty ice cream and their special flavors are fantastic. They have an outdoor seating area, and when its warm outside theres free water and cups inside by the entrance.

Prices are a just smidge high, but Id say still worth it. Always a new flavor. Ice cream is top notch. Shakes are good, but Parmas Docs Shake Shoppe is better if thats what youre after.

We love Honey Hut & always look forward to the summer openings. However, we were quite disappointed at our first stop in Brecksville.We ordered a medium (waffle) cone (one dip of chocolate pecan & one dip of honey pecan. The chocolate was adequate but the honey pecan was less than a full scoop. They were very busy that day & we didnt want to start any problems so we accepted what we got. Please pass the word----we expect nothing but the best in all of your establishments. The quality was there (as always) but your customers shouldnt feel like they have been cheated. It was average, menu was hard to read and the employees felt rushed which gave a lackluster experience.

Tasty ice cream, smaller side menu selection, good portion size, average wait time for service, average price point.

The ice cream is made with honey rather than processed sugar. My family has enjoyed all the flavors we have tried. A good stop after a hike in the park. The prices have gotten a little high in the last few years lessoning the value.

Local ice cream shop with quality ice cream quickly prepared even when busy (and at certain times it does get very busy), even new employees are intentive and know what they are doing, seating is kept clean, prices are good, wide selection, etc., etc.. Just, in short, this is a great ice cream place to go to; I have never been disappointed when going there.

They take credit card, they have tiny toddler sized cones that my kiddo loves, its such a great community place, and the staff are always so friendly.

The BEST butter pecan ice cream. The vanilla peanut butter is okay. Avoid the graham cracker ice cream.
