Ladies at the front of the stores when you first walk in make you feel welcome and are very efficient right away ask you if you need help and offer you a basket for your items. Employees at the back by skincare are very attentive and friendly. This is real customer service in a retail environment, highly recommend!
While the store is packed the stock is not. You can never find any of your favorite products and there are so many employees they absolutely overwhelm you. I 100% prefer ordering online than going to this location.

5 employees came up to me to ask if I needed help. When I actually needed it, they were stand off-ish. Girl who helped me was sour and just grabbed the products and walked away when I asked for a swatch. Didnβt say, βfollow me, letβs go off to the side, let me grab a tissue, etc.β then yelled, βwhere did she go?β Like if I was supposed to know where she was running off to in silence. She couldβve been sanitizing the item? Or idk! I was being polite and I never leave reviews but I just had to. I asked if I could redeem my bday reward (because I went to a Sephora in downtown a month ago and they asked me if wanted to redeem it then and I said no. I thought might as well do it now) she condescendingly said, βyouβll get your bday reward on your bday month.β I think some people just lack social cues, communication, and customer service.

ZEROOOOO STARS!!! Just let this Sephora, was in there for less than 5 minutes and was asked by 4 different employees if i needed help!!! It is extremely uncomfortable to feel like they assume your going to steal something! I believe I was decently dressed for them to act they way they do. Its a make up store i would like to walk around and see what new make up I may like to purchase without being harassed by the employees!!! Never ever coming back!!!!

Not enough staff to help customers. Theyre all friendly but seem very stressed and so the friendliness seems forced. Had to wait foreeeeever to get some samples, theyre always busy with something else.

Every time I come here I leave with a great experience they all have offer great customer service and are very knowledgeable about products. I went here yesterday to take a class and came five minutes early. I asked one of the employees when the class started and she responded in a rude tone. I left, came back, and I asked again and the response was just as rude. I stayed for about 20 minutes, waiting for instructions because I was confused. Iβm disappointed that I came all this way from Ontario to this. Finally, a third employee came and told me I had to wait because there werenβt enough people. After waiting for all this, she offered to do my makeup when I was only there to learn. Itβs safe to say I wonβt be coming here again regardless of classes or just shopping in general. The staff is surly and the whole place is very unwelcoming. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
I walked in to Sephora La Brea today needing specific makeup for my sonβs wedding. I had been without sleep and crying and a real mess. My youngest son getting married in Salt Lake City next weekend and my oldest son not expected to live who is in New Mexico terminally ill with heart failure not a candidate for any surgery. My daughter was helping me with makeup which I used and was out of. Teresa walked up and asked if she could help me. I explained what I needed and she set me in a chair and worked her calming effect on me and pulled together a natural look I wanted. Thank you Teresa you are a blessing.

I think this is the last time Ill try this place. Ive been here 4 different times, different months, different days of the week and the people who work here are never friendly. I dont know if they are on commission or not but theyre profiling techniques are terrible. No one has ever spoken to me or asked if I need help finding any product, even if I wander in the store looking for a certain line of make uo. So I go and buy what I need some where else.
The staff is meh I feel like they racial profile you and follow you around the whole store .I felt super uncomfortable I mean I get it itβs Monday morning 10:30 a.m, 10 people working the floor but honestly do you have to ask me at every turn I make if I need help. Never coming here again Iβd rather walk upstairs to the JC Penny Sephora.
Racial Profiling. Horrible costumer service. Extremely rude. I went to this sephora yesterday because i ran out of my favorite cleanser and moisturizer. From the minute i walked in the employees would not stop harassing me. ALL of them were staring at me the whole time i was in the store and one by one they kept coming up to me asking me βare you sure you donβt need helpβ βis everything still okayβ and would not so subtly radio in to the other employees right when they walked away. They asked me multiple times if i wanted a basket and i know that means they thought i was stealing so i said no thank you because i was literally just holding 2 things. Then one of the girls grabbed what i was holding in my hand WITHOUT ASKING ME and put it in a basket. Yβall need to retrain these girls cause they suck at their job.

Ive got very bad customer service from one of the employees today! Her name is Stephanie.. she was very rude!!! I asked her to help me with the eye concealer and she gave me very bad attitude.. Anyway I did not like what she choosed for me. I think she needs to be more professional. Really disappointed.

Today while at the Sephora in Brea I was profiled for reasons unknown. I walked in as I always do but instead of spending money I went to return something. After looking at things for a while while NEVER being asked if I needed assistance I went to the counter to return my item. I then inquired about other merchandise and went to check that out as well. After leaving the section I was in I saw an employee go over to where I was with encouragement from a fellow employee as they were clearly exclaiming as if I was doing something wrong. Working in retail I know the signs and I spend far too much money with Sephora to be treated this way. I expect better for not only me but other customers. Okay, so I often hear about how horrible peoples experiences are at Sephora but this one definitely rebels against the usual Sephora experience. They are absolutely friendly and willing to get you what you need. Mind you, I walked in straight from work so I was looking like sweaty Bettybut they treated me like I walked in looking like sexy Susan. Awesome Job Sephora @ Brea.
Every time I come to this location its either a hit or a miss with the employees; you either have the kindest, most helpful person assisting you, or you have someone who acts like they would rather be doing anything else with their time than talking to you. Today I had the latter. The cashier who rung me up was very snotty, and the two workers that I had conversed with on the floor were mostly unhelpful and rude. Looks like Ill just be buying my Fenty Beauty online from now on.

There is no help from the workers. I was trying to get my stuff from the bottom drawer and the security said you cant get you things there please close it. As he was saying that a worker was looking at what was happening from the door and didnt even help. Stared and looked away. Wow!! Never going back. After seeing many videos on Sephora. The people in the back tell the girls who they can help or not based on their look communicating to them through their mic. These girls need to re trained it all goes back to management.
Sephoras is the place to buy your make up good quality but not cheap. Has a very big selection of colors. The has hair and skin idea. This location is very bissy you have to wait to get some help.The emplyees are friendly. The parking is hard to find.
Got a hydro-facial after purchasing more than $75 (actual amount closer to $200). Be sure to dl the app, make an appointment, then purchase $75 or more, then theyll also scan the viles, otherwise, they just waste your time.

If youβre looking for a Sephora that has everything including a friendly staff DONT COME HERE! The girls are so rude. I went in to get my shade for the fenty beauty foundation and I already know what shade I was then this employee comes up to me and tells me βthat isnβt your shade honey.β While giving me attitude and rolling her eyes at me. you will start to feel bad vibes from the moment you walk in. The employees dog you when you first walk in and wonβt even welcome you in. Definitely NEVER coming back here! WORST SEOHORA EVER!
Although there are a lot of good Sephora stores everywhere, this one is not a good one. The staff are not friendly. I tried to do a return with receipt, and the cashier said she canβt do that because she believes I didnβt pay anything for the product, and it was free!!! She told me she can damage it for me if I like!!! Insane! I had the receipt, was she kidding me?! Also, I asked them for facial mask sample with my purchase, and the guy gave me a few drops of mask that wasnβt even enough for one time use.In addition to that, they told me I have to show my government issued ID if Iβm using my credit card. What the hell?! I will never ever come back to this location.

I went today wanting to buy the Kat Von D foundation. I asked a girl if she could match me. She said Im busy with a costumer but Ill get you some else to help you. I came for last minute Xmas shopping (literally Xmas eve) with my bestie who I COMPLETELY FORGOT TO GET SOMETHING FOR. I knew she was in love with the Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Shimmering Body Oil but weβre both part-time workers and full-time college students so while weβre not broke we donβt have enough for high end products such as that. HOWEVER I saved up because you never know what youβll spend on Xmas and Iβm glad I saved! I had enough to get it! We walked in and were greeted and I told her I had to pick something up at the front and she wandered off on her own. This product is near the front of the store and unfortunately none were available so I asked the greeter if he could get someone to check... success! They had it in the back and brought some to restock and gave me one. Now I had only one mission.. buy it without her noticing. I was waiting in line looking around making sure she wasnβt around (and feeling really guilty cause Iβm so sure I looked suspicious looking around so much) when an employee came up to me and asked if I needed anything. I told her I was just waiting in line and she explained that another employee told her I looked like I was in a rush so I explained I was hiding my gift purchase from my best friend who was also in the store and she got me from the back of the line to a register immediately! Mission successful! I bought it without my bestie noticing! This store really made my visit magical and I appreciate all the help I got. I hope my cashier wasnβt only seasonal because she gave me the most amazing customer service Iβve ever had! This evening, I entered Sephora with the curiosity of purchasing a high end skin care regime. I walked to the very back of the store to find a young lady with a long frowned face. I gave her a back story of my skin so she can see if there was anything that would work for me. The women gave me a dry answer with no assistance at all.I decided to simply just get a sample since I was not ready to purchase an expensive regime without knowing if it would work for me. I scrolled through best sellers and Allure awarded products in the Sephora App and found it much more useful and informative. After I chose the product I handed it to the employee so she can be kind enough to give me a sample-size so I may try at home. The women came up to another employee and whispered with a mean look on her face. I literally felt like I was in Mean Girls and a bad roomer came out about me or something. She mad-dogged me and passed me over someone who was much more kind and informative. The second lady was super sweet and polite and even gave me a mask favorite of hers. The second lady set the correct expectations and friendliness. All the stars go to her. The star missed was because of the first experience.I believe the skincare consultant job is [t]o be a skincare expert and provide friendly, knowledgeable service to all clients. Overall, I found this true to only the second employee who helped me this evening. I do not plan to go back to this Sephora location anytime soon.

Located on 1st floor, near food court and Apple store.Its always hard to rate a retail store because if its based off their online website, I would give Sephora a 5-star. Due to varies staff, I experienced the most helpful to the most useless clerks here, so 3 star it is. My number one disappointment here at Breas Sephora was that their tester utensil station was empty for the most part, so I wasnt able to test the foundation, lip gloss, or anything without using my own fingertips (gross).Sephora has everything you want in makeup, skincare, fragrance, and hair care. You can always ask for skincare and fragrance samples in stores, limit 3 per person.Sephora has everything on display, so its a great way to check out the products before purchasing. They also have exclusive sets that are only sold in Sephoras and worth checking out seasonally.The best time to shop is during November when they offer 20% off everything in store online and in stores...just join their VIB! Its their points reward system and they always have something additional for your birthday. I would definitely save the points till 500, dont waste your points for the 100 points gift unless you are never shopping at sephora.Bottom line, Sephora is the best place for makeup junkie!!!
