Ive been looking for a Gransfors american felling axe and and encountered other authorized gransfors dealers who were advertising stock they didnt have, or failed to send the warranty card. I found American Traders on the Gransfors authorized dealers site and decided to call them. Best customer service Ive received on the phone in a while. I spoke with Tim- he knew the product and took the time to go over it with me. His knowledge and patience sold me immediately and I bought the axe online after my call. Ill be purchasing more products from this establishment in the future, I like to buy from quality small businesses.
Officially, the rudest encounter Ive ever had with a small business. I gave them a quick ring to check on some expensive axes (Gransfors Bruk) and to see how much inventory they had and how large of an order they could fill. Most business would be beyond thrilled to receive such a call and the prospect of someone spending thousands of dollars.However, the clearly irritated man who answered the phone had no patience for my inquiry If weve got it its on the website and says in stock, if we dont have it it says out of stock and we dont have it-got it? speaking to me in a condescending tone.I paused and then attempted to calmly explain that I understood but wanted to confirm how many units I could purchase of each given model, as his website doesnt display stock quantity.Me: Yes sir, completely understand about your website. Just wanted to check if I can order more than one unit for each model line, say if I needed three of a given model you show in stock.Him: Look Im busy and I have someone on the other line...Absolutely flabbergasted by his tone and level of disrespect I simply told him he was very rude and said goodbye and ended the call. I cannot comprehend why anyone running a business would treat a potential customer in this manner. I will not be doing business with them in the future and I would recommend you avoid them yourself.Anyone running a business who sees customers as a nuisance and despises human interaction should not be in business.
