Absolutely wonderful collection of textiles and cloth from around the world! The proprietress, Jan, is a fountain of knowledge and inspiration - and her store a veritable joy for the senses!

This store has an amazing selection of jewelry priced to sell. You can view it right from the store window. The owner is delightfully quirky and ALWAYS happy to have a chat and make a friend. This Brattleboro Main St. staple is well worth the visit. If youre buying a gift she will tie a bow from silk ribbon. She does this right in front of you without missing a beat in the conversation youll likely be having with her.

I love this store so much we went many miles out of our way on our recent trip from Washington DC to visit, and spend the night in Brattleboro. It is a national treasure.

I absolutely adore shopping for fabrics at Delictable Mountain Cloth. I found the perfect linen, just the right hand and weight that I was looking for of course! She’s got a sale going on now and that’s just a major bonus. Every day prices are very reasonable for the amazing quality and selection she has somehow fit into this space!

My other favorite fabric store. Small with limited stock, but what they have is superb. Jan Norris (the owner) is an artist, and thats readily apparent in her stock of silks and fine wools and velvets. Her button collection canl hold you enthralled for hours, and her hat collection is museum quality!

This shop is a national treasure for fiber artists. All natural cloth and some of the most exquisitely curated collections of silks, brocades, velvety, sheets...vintage buttons, antique laces...the owner used to work in New Yorks garment district and uses those connections to source some of the highest quality fabrics available today. And her collection of whites and ivories for weddings is unparalleled! A must stop but youll need hours. Dont shortchange your visit.

Favorite fabric/button store. As a knitter I pick up button sets when in the area...I dont know what the project will be but I cant pass up the gorgeous buttons. Supper helpful staff when I need fabric for wedding gowns/bridesmaid dresses, even though they are three hours away from me.

Delectable Mountain Cloth is not so much a store as window to a bygone era of opulence. The merchandise is meticulously curated by the owner, featuring silk satins, taffetas, and velvets that would satisfy any fin-de-siecle coutourier, as well as a melange of antique buttons and findings. I walked away with twenty or so Victorian picture buttons and some fat quarters of duchess silk satin and taffeta for $35.
