I dealt primarily with Scott. He was excellent and although the work was complex and took a little while longer than anticipated he was forthright on the pricing and updated me constantly as to when the work will be done. I am very pleased with the service provided and the reasonableness of the cost. I got a decent amount of work done on a Volvo with a big engine and he took care of me. I really appreciate it.

Scott is my guy! He takes such good care of me...doesnt overcharge me and helps me out at a moments notice. Hes Professional, Honest and Trustworthy. I have been going to him for years and he has never failed me. I never have to go back because all the work is done right the first time. Counter person (s) really great, they dont push other problems discovered while servicing the vehicle.Good place to bring your vehicle but wait time is my only issue. To be fair I am not a mechanic, I just drive the thing, so drop it off.

This places deserves more then 5 stars. My catalytic converter rusted and split. It happened on a Sunday when every place is closed except for Firestone. I went there first and it was the WORST service I’ve ever received. I made an appointment for Midas online on Sunday evening and it was immediately confirmed. I ended up being late to the appointment and they had no issues with the delay. This place is SUPER friendly and tells you how it is. My car is over 11 years old and I’m not planning on keeping it much longer. They didn’t try to up sell me for repairs that would be a waste of my money. They were able to add some pipe and put a sleeve on the converter to get my by until I get a new car. Super reasonable prices as well! I was in and out within a HOUR! That never happens even with oil changes at other places. This will now be my go to auto shop.

My Toyota Solara started making a loud noise while driving at speed over 60 miles/hour. At times the sound would be so loud that you cannot listen to the person sitting next to you. Scott has saved our car twice now ! We brought our car in for an oil change at splash car wash of Hamden and they completely overfilled the oil and put in the wrong size air filter . Midas is a nice place to get work done on your car. This place can be expensive but they do have a finance services for those that it applys to. They have diagnostic test that can be performed on your car for a price. They did a free diagnostic to check my brakes and they started replacing little things before I agreed to it. But they took it out before I left but they let me know what was wrong with my braking system.

In and out did find a belt that was bad I didnt know about

I Had a flat tire at the last minute I was just coming from my uncles funeral and I stop at a couple other places that fix tires no one could help so I came to midas and they came to the rescue it took about 1hr to get it fixed and I was on my way .

Was headed out for a state to state move and my brake line went out. Called and they said they could get my truck in right away. The labor is posted as $100 an hour. I picked up my truck 5 hours after I dropped it off and was charged $800 for labor. I was told they had to place two guys to work on it same day. Mind you this was never told to me upon dropping it off. I was told that it would be 4 to 5 hours to get my truck to get back on the road. I called to check and see if my truck was done. I was told it was almost done and would get a call when it was. Never received a call back so got someone to drive me back to see my truck had been sitting and I could have gotten back on the road sooner. Absolutely disgusting to skrew people who need same day help. Be sure to have quotes in writing and ask how many people will be working on your vehicle or ask to watch the service happening. I will never return there and will be sure to post it so others know how to not be robbed by Scott.

In the past, Scott has been really helpful, knowledgeable, and particularly willing to take the time to explain repair work. This past week, he went above and beyond. After replacing the brake pads and doing an oil change, my car had a strange noise. He took it right back, determined that the problem area was the transmission, and had a transmission specialist look it over at no cost to me. (To be clear, the issue wasnt anything the Branford shop had done, just bad timing.) He is just *that* concerned with customer satisfaction and making sure every customer drives away safely. I have been a customer of Midas in Branford for more than 10 years. I have always received on time and reasonably-priced service with an explanation every stage of the way, including for repairs, tires, oil changes, etc. This year, I was taking my car to Brooklyn, New York, on a permanent basis to begin a pandemic-related switch from subway commuting to car commuting. First, I needed some repair work performed on my Connecticut-based car. Scott at Midas communicated the entire way through, including when the initial installation of a defective part required a replacement. Scott went above and beyond, keeping in touch with Midas in Brooklyn to ensure that I received a replacement part at no charge. I cannot say enough good things about this shop or its people. Car shops are eager to over price& get you to buy the best at the most expensive cost. However, at Midas they get you the best of the best at a cost that works for you. My car runs better than ever and I was able to get up to Plymouth, NH on 3/4 tank of gas where previous times I had to stop halfway through my trip to fill up. I live in West Haven and will drive to Branford to see Scott and his team for my oil changes and any other work that might need to be done. Scott, the manager, identified a few areas that needed to be worked on and gave me a timeframe of when they should be fixed. I am very happy with their service, communication and professionalism.
