Driving through West Haven and our Pilot started to have issues. We called the service center and they saw us right away, no questions asked. They weren’t able to fix it but they helped fix the car enough to get back home with our three kids. They helped us get home safely. Thank you to the mechanics and staff working the service center. I am not going to start off by saying I have had a ton of experience buying new cars. In fact, this was my first time. Brandfon Honda set the bar extremely high for any future experiences I may have at other dealerships.Everyone in the dealership was very helpful and attentive. Our needs were looked after every step of the way from the moment we walked into the showroom. We met with Julio because we had family members enjoy their experience with him and we can honestly say he went above and beyond our expectations. He was prepared to answer any question and provide quality information in regards to each step. He knew the cars top to bottom and helped get us into the right eco-friendly hybrid we were looking for. Julio has a great mind for what he does and a caring heart that looks to help others.The rate that they were able to provide for us was within our ballpark and perfectly reasonable for a brand new hybrid vehicle. The market for electric and hybrid vehicles is robust and they were able to locate and deliver the car I wanted within a week or so.Again, I cannot stress enough how much I recommend and how highly I rate both Brandfon Honda and Julio for my first experience buying a vehicle. Update: engine cover was removed during servicing and has not been returned to us.Beware of financing scam: My husband found the car he wanted very quickly, credit score is in the mid-800s and knew we wouldnt have an issue with financing. While we waited for the title, it seemed like our financing wasnt a priority. We got a call that the title finally arrived after two weeks and our loan would be a 6% interest rate.We went to our credit union and without a cosigner he was offered a 2.5% interest rate, meaning we will save around $4,000 over the life of the loan.We also found out the dealership contacted the credit union for the loan, but didnt provide their loan to us as an option. One has to wonder... why go with the super expensive financing when there were more affordable options Brandfon? I dont know if this was intentionally screwing us, or just basic ineptitude. But this stuff isnt hard. Steering us to an expensive financing option unnecessarily and not being transparent with the options available to us was obnoxious. The response at the time was that the CU hadnt gotten back to them fast enough. Flimsy at best. I had an answer within 12 hours when I applied. Somebody is either not doing their job or wanted to make some fast cash off of us. Not appreciated.Their vehicle checklist also missed that some lights were out, meaning we have to go back for servicing because they missed something. It makes one wonder again.... what else was missed?Love the car, the service and communication left a LOT to be desired. Not looking forward to going back for the light servicing, but what can you do?

The lady we dealt with didnt really have a clue. Didnt even try to see what our warranty covered. She said she couldnt get the paperwork pulled up from when we bought our car in the Watertown Honda. We didnt know what services it had when it was bought, figured it was the same everywhere, and if not, at least pull it up in their system.***She also was very open about not believing the whole covid thing from the start. She only wore masks when necessary, she rolled her eyes about the dealership and mentioned not having a vaccine a couple times. A lot of places mark the employees somehow if theyve had their vaccine. I was very upset about her not having it and blatantly saying she doesnt even try.***And also it was her who said she wasnt vaccinated, not the company.She said they would put it through the car wash, which they did not.Definitely not going back here again!!!!

I live in east haven for over 12 years but never ever found a chicken leg in the fan were the cabin filters goes this happen in branfon honda i told my wife just oil change but they said that it need a new cabin filter she told them no thanks it was because i had buy a K&N filter i just didint have time to do it my self but after that oil change wen she use the air condition starting making a big noise and smell really bad i told her that wen they took out the filter they maybe didint put it right that probably the noise but what about the smell so a month later i changed the filter i tested and the big noise was still there i take everything out again and found a chicken leg in the fan i was liked no way i told my wife and she said i told you that was from were the smell came from i was like why someone do that just because we didnt change the filter with them this happened on 2020 summer i know its late to tell the story but hopefully they pay more attention to there workers i just think that person said if i live this chicken leg they will come back and finally change the filter because the noise was big thats why now i have cameras for my own safety now.

Buyer BEWARE!! Do not ever finance a used care from Brandfon Honda!! I financed my 2015 Honda CR-V just under 2 years ago. Was supposedly in β€œmint condition” at 9,000 miles. I have had nothing but issue after issue with the electrical. It’s completely unsafe and I have spent so much money fixing it!! Not only am I paying almost double what it’s worth, the car is a freaking lemon. Of course since it’s been almost 2 years Brandfon will not take responsibility of the cars issues. But tell me how a perfect car (supposedly) can have so many issues within 2 years of getting it! I take perfect care of it. I get it maintenance regularly and make sure it’s perfectly taken care of as it’s my only car for my family. The only way to get out of this car is to get put in a new car with higher car payments!! Do not trust them. They wanted to make a quick sale and rushed me and shame on me. I’ve learned my lesson. But please, buyer beware!!!

I cant believe I managed to obtain a WONDERFUL new Honda Fit with the help of Joel!!! I literally upgraded from my grandmas old 1998 Honda Civic that was croaking. Something about the storage options and mileage of a Honda Fit spoke to me, and Joel walked me through all the wonderful ways you could fold seats to fit things. I was a bit clueless at the process of buying my first car but I appreciated Joels patience. I also appreciate the whole dealerships patience with my dads various concerns.

If you did not buy tires from them do not ask them to service them. Which as a whole, if thats their policy is fine. However, you must clearly tell this to people who book service regarding their tires. I also feel that if they do not have confidence in their mechanics to assess the safety and installation of tires not purchased from them (even if the rims are Honda purchased) then I dont understand how they can trust them with more complex problems. Heaven forbid you had to emergently have engine work done somewhere else, who knows if theyd help you. I have switched to a different dealership.

From the moment my wife and I walked on to Brandfon Honda we were greeted by the masked man. His name was Julio, and he waved to us from 20 feet away and did not approach us until we gave him a smile and then he walked over. Didnt run over to us and hover like most sales people do, he basically asked for permission to speak with us, which we did want to speak to him. After all, going to a car dealer can be a daunting task, so people are always on their guard.He took his time assessing our needs and desires for the vehicle we wanted to purchase. Without any pressure he walked us thru the process of choosing the best vehicle for us as well as what we wanted for options and I cannot say Ive ever had a better experience at a dealership before.We got to meet the Manager, Bob Szymanowski as well and he was very personable and kind as well.Even spoke to Mr. Brandfon, this was the last day of the month (which Im told is a very stressful day for dealers) which was extremely busy but Julio took all the time we needed to fully completed the delivery of our new car. We are in our 50s so we have been to many dealers before but with Julio, and Gary Secula helped us pick out our options to protect our new vehicle I cannot recommend this dealer enough.RW

I took my vehicle in for service and I have to say that if you have a Honda, you should definitely be bringing it here!Quicker and cheaper than their initial estimate over the phone and the initial estimate was already much cheaper than other shops I had called.Not only was it quicker and cheaper the service was also fantastic! Everyone I spoke to was knowledgeable about the maintenance schedule, the actual parts and assemblies and what these do in the vehicle. They definitely are not trying to have you do unnecessary work, and they throw in a number of free services to build confidence in the state of your vehicle.All in all I was very satisfied with my service here and plan on coming back in the future!

My wife and I were in the market for a new car to replace her 2007 CRV. We worked with Chris Donofrio, who was fantastic. He didnt pressure us to purchase, and we were able to make a deal. However, his sales manager, whose name I didnt catch, was quite rude and unprofessional. When in the finance managers office, we noticed a discrepancy on the value of our trade in. There was some miscommunication, and mistakes happen. I wasnt thrilled, but chalked it up to an error and was ready to move on, except that when this error was pointed out to the sales manager, he was exclaiming in a fairly rude manner, loud enough for us to hear since we were only 2 feet away, that there was nothing he could to because he had already lost $1,200 on the car. Even if that were the case, there was clearly a breakdown in communication somewhere, so youd think that in the spirit of being customer facing, thered have been some offer of concession as a gesture of goodwill. Instead, we get scoffed at from afar, and I honestly would have walked out had Chris not been so great and had my wife not fallen in love with the car. If the car was for me and I was alone, Id have taken my business elsewhere, because if thats the reaction that a mistake over $400 gets, I can only imagine how rude he is to others.Id recommend buying from Chris in a heartbeat, but I cant imagine how it must be for him working under someone like that, who was talking to another colleague and I heard F bombs as we were walking into the office. His overall behavior really turned me off.

Three weeks ago I had purchased a used 2011 Honda CRV for roughly $13,000 after taxes. The other day I was driving and the check engine light came on. Sure enough the catalyic converter is bad and needs to be replaced. The job itself costs over $ 3,000 to get fixed. I bought the car as is but come on. Thats bad business if you ask me. Everything went well just a few things when I first started going to them when I bought the car there was something wrong with the one of the rim of the tires and I had it on document and then when I went in for my first they said that the something was wrong with my rim thats making my tire lose air and I told him that there was something wrong with Tire in the rim when I bought the car needless to say after a while I got my tire for free and then just recently I have three things that need to be done with the car and thats fine I started getting the things done and then I noticed something underneath the car so I wanted them to check cuz I thought I was leaking oil from when they lasted the oil change maybe they put too much but it wasnt it was just that he said everything was fine that Im missing my shield and I think the last time I got my oil changed they forgot to put my shield on to protect the engine so now I have to pay a hundred something dollars to get a shield for protection when I had it on the car cuz I never lost the shield I dont remember losing a big piece like that I never got into an accident with the car anyting but besides that I like coming to Honda and I always come to Honda

Was told that I can buy a car and that they’d fix the issues with the car by Chris at brandfon Honda. Tried to buy a 2013 Nissan with issues that I was told Would be fixed. Fix your communication skills cause I don’t know who in their right mind would buy a car with a leak that isn’t fixed have fun selling it. Manager said he wouldn’t do anything after taking my money. Thanks guys will never recommend anyone to you and you lost a customer. By the way fix your employees attitudes. While I was about to buy a car was told”I’m busy” very rudely by Chris. First of all, Brandfon Honda, you will remember me as Jacqueline Smith, my legal name. Im sure you remember me well as I just left your dealership for the third time and left there furious. Without putting my personal financial portfolio here, I will keep it simple. I was completely lied to by the salesman and the sales manager. Long story very short i purchased not one but two cars a little over a week ago...or i thought I did. All the figures, of course, were worked out prior to me agreeing to them and asked multiple times, Is this all correct and all set? I was assured by the salesman that it was. I took the first car home from the dealership the same day again being assured that as long as I spent the ridiculous lease buyout inspection fee of $850 and purchased a nee seat of tires for another $500 that we would be all set. I did all promised and showed up today to finish up the sale paperwork (third time there)...to my surprise and dismay they presented me with paperwork of a payment nearly $85 higher per month than agreed on and was told to me. Oh no, Brandfon Honda, you will not do this to a Grandmother that just lost her 4 year old granddaughter and has enough on her plate. Tell the truth!! I left it with Jack will do what he can tomorrow and call me. Well Jack you better figure it out before you call me. It is your problem that i was lied to. Figure it out!!

Easy sales process, likable salesman. I did take offense to one of the receptionists in the service department for her attitude. The Service Manager is good though; identified and explained the issue we were having quickly and in a way we (not mechanics) could understand. He sent us on our way quickly and worry free. I would buy here again.

I had the pleasure of working with Manny at Brandfon Honda and let me just say...unlike any other experience at a car dealership. Manny was very informative of my choice in car, he didnt pressure me into other vehicles just because they were on sale. I am no finance expert and Manny was able to explain my lease payment and how it can vary it ways I was able to understand. Manny got me this car over a year ago and I had a question a few days ago and he was supportive and able to help. If you want a Honda, do yourself a favor and go see Manny at Brandfon Honda. I drove over to Brandfon for the sole purpose of confirming that they had a Honda Pilot in the color I wanted. I had trusted another dealer over the phone but when I arrived to check (at the other dealer) I was told they could order it. Not what I had in mind.It wasnt my intention to buy that day, just to visually confirm the car was in stock. Well, not only was it in stock, but I sat down with Julio who proceeded to tell me that I could buy the car AND hand over my Civic whose lease was up, the one I had driven over in, all in the same visit! Julio was able to quickly match a low price quote I got from another dealer, which was very nice to hear. The sale was almost scuttled when the financing terms they quoted werent as good as the quote I got from AAA, but a quick visit by Julio to the financing office was all it took for them to match my quote in full. I had no reason not to pull the trigger. Julio even helped me clean out my Civic because, remember, I hadnt planned on turning it in that day.In short, Julio bent over backwards to get me everything I wanted and the process was amazing. Maybe it shouldnt be this easy to buy a new car? But Im very glad it is.

My wife and I recently bought a car a couple days ago and while our salesman Jeff was extremely nice and helpful and respectful and completely knowledgeable the finance manager was extremely rude and short with my wife and father in-law and also didn’t offer all warranties available just the most expensive one which I think is dishonest and somewhat greedy plus we are repeat customers this is our second car from there but possibly our last once again our salesman Jeff was great and one last thing after spending 20 thousand not even a congratulations from the finance manager or thanks for your business.

This was by far the best and easiest car buying experiences. Not once did i feel any pressure to buy a car. Joel was my salesman and he couldnt have been more polite. As soon as i got in the car he described in detail all of its features. I visited other dealers before this one and i was lucky if they knew where the key was. We wrapped up the transaction in a couple of days and i drove off in my Civic. I worked with Al when i finalized my paperwork and he was great as well. I would recommend Joel to anyone looking to purchase a new Honda. By the way i love the car as well. It has a nice quiet ride and very comfortable. Thanks Joel!!

Both sales and service departments are staffed with folks who always treat the customer with courtesy and respect.Their service department is very efficient and the personnel are very clear and precise. They help you understand what exactly will be done with your vehicle and repairs are completed in a very timely manner.I cannot say enough about the sales staff as well. In particular Manny and Matt get top marks for their patience, helpful attitudes, and respectful people skills. You just get the sense that the people who work here have a philosophy that vehicles will sell themselves. This translates to a sales staff that doesnt use the kind of ploys and pushy techniques so common with most other car dealerships. My husband and I had a great experience with Brandfon Honda. Joel Demarco is truly a great guy to work with. Very personable and real. You dont get that when walking into many dealerships. He worked with us through the entire process and even stayed until after hours to make sure everything went smoothly. Before I brought my car in for a flat tire, I called to verify tire is still under warranty. When I got there, the advisor told me otherwise... Left with no choice, I had to purchase one tire. After everything, my car wouldnt start, the battery died. Tech was very honest he left the car on the whole time of service and it drained the battery. The Service Manager stepped up and replaced the battery for free. Exceptional service. Keep it up.

Just trust me on this, they wont acknowledge your issues and theyll just push you out the door as fast as possible. And if they try to tell you they will look at an issue if its still happening after driving it a bit, it wont be covered. Even if they say the term certified 8000 times. Your issue, I guarantee, wont be certified or else it wouldve been fixed before you left the place.Dont buy from Brandfon.

Brandfon Honda is a very nice dealership.Everyone that took care of me were very friendly and pleasant.They do their very best to sell you a car, there is no doubt, andthey will suck you in every time. But I didnt mind it because Igot the car I desired at a much lower cost than even theywanted to sell it for. Tiffany was the sales associate that tookcare of me and Matt was the business manager that helpedmake it happen. The used car they sold me was detailed,topped up with gas, in mint condition, and came with a 6month/6000 mile warranty to give me peace of mind andreassurance.
