The sales associate was awesome but the finance department was just an antiquated, condescending, rude men that only care about trying to strong arm you into buying an extended warranty.I had an issue since our financial officer didn’t provide all the appropriate documents, called weeks later for help and only got more attitude from Rodney.I hope they hire some new people in their finance department, the sale associate was too great to be working at this mediocre location. If I’ve known, I would have given my business to another Subaru location**In response the the reply from the owner, you are thinking of another costumer. I live CT and had no issues with registration or anything regarding that. My review is due to the lack of tact with the finance department, it felt like I needed a ransom negotiator to help me get the point across that I do not want the extended warranties. The subsequent attitude I got due to not wanting to add extra services or warranties, it was a complete 180 in attitude and helpfulness. Due to that a lot of important information was not written out or given. I do my own research and I’m a well informed person, but it’s hard to guess your own account number when that number was given to you incorrectly. It took me two weeks to get someone at the office to give me helpful information.

A fantastic experience at Premier Subaru! I was lucky to have this dealership as my first and last stop! When beginning to look for a car, I was a bit anxious. My last experience at a car dealership was nothing short of traumatic and left me stuck in a not so great car/finance situation. I was so thankful to work with Taylor Frawley who showed us patience, positivity, transparency and some good laughs! The team at Premier takes care of you from the moment you enter to the moment you leave. Many thanks to Phil, who went above and beyond to find us a better insurance deal and also showed us tremendous patience! Lastly, thank you to Andi for explaining all of the features of the vehicle. Smooth and fast experience buying a new car from this dealership. A lot of initial steps tackled online and via email. Will consider them again if buying another Subaru in the future. Only snafu- they did forget to put the owners manual in the car glove compartment, but I got it from them a couple of weeks later.

I am so glad I went with Premier Subaru! Due to the continuing car shortages they let me know it may take over a month and half for my car to come in! I looked around at other dealers, and heard the same thing all around. Taylor worked it out and got me the perfect car in only a weeks time! I was ready to make a deal, until I found out they are price gouging by charging $999 over MSRP. Don’t let them tell you everyone is charging “market adjustment” fees or price increases. It’s just not true. I made a purchase with Quality Subaru in Wallingford instead.

DisappointedAs a diehard Subaru fan, the first Subaru I bought from Premier Subaru was smooth and all the transaction was efficiently done before I got there to pick up the car. I was delighted. I made up my mind that this was the Subaru dealer I was going to do business with. More recently, my experiences have been disappointing. About three years ago, I came here to buy a Crosstrek. It was literally close to $2000 in difference in price from another Subaru dealer in Hartford ! I ended up buying a 2019 model in the color I wanted when I was negotiating for a 2018 orange model at Premier! I was surprised at the disparity! Very recently, I ventured again. This time it was going to be a lease. When I ask the sales person what the money factor was when he returned with a monthly payment which was far higher than another Premier Subaru dealer from a different town gave me, he did not know. He went and asked his manager and came back with no answer. I think it is standard to tell your customer what interest rate (money factor multiply by 24 will give you interest charged) you are being charged. I have a very high credit score. Back calculating, I can see that they gave me a higher interest than the .9% advertised. I think this is unprofessional. I was made to wait for answers which I now see was never going to be given. They wasted my time. Two strikes. I do not need to go for the third one.

We reached out for a quote on a specific VIN (2021 Outback) and were given a fair estimate. On the quote, it clearly states they’ll honor the price for 72 hours so we made an appointment to come in. After test driving and talking for 2+ hours, we got into numbers. They refused to honor the quote we were given, saying they had a “backend error” and came back with a price over 30% more. Not sure if they were attempting a bait and switch or it’s just poor customer service, but we heard one of the salesmen scoff when our agent (Dimitri) inquired about getting closer to the original quote.After being toured around the “state-of-the-art” dealership, it’s sad to see such a significant discrepancy between the quote we received online and the quote we received in person.“Every time time you interact with a member of the Premier family we promise it will be simple, upfront, and guaranteed” (except the quotes we personally tailor and email to you).RESPONSE TO DEALER REPLY:This is false information. We had two separate email threads with 2 separate cars we were planning to see. The first one being the VIN in question, 2021 Outback with beige interior, was quoted to us at 28k. Then on a separate inquiry, we asked about a 2021 Outback with black interior. This is when Cailin sent us a 2020 on accident, but then corrected with a 2021.The fact that your sales team did not even offer an alternative after sending a quote you will not honor is astounding. You could’ve said “look we messed up, but let’s get you that price for a 2020 model” or “let’s meet somewhere in the middle”.It’s a dishonorable way of conducting business and making up a story to cover yourself only makes it worse.

Today we purchased our second Subaru Forester from Premier Subaru. That alone should say it all but for a little more detail here are the highlights. Their salesman, Dmitry, was very helpful and found exactly the car we were looking for and was extremely responsive to my many phone calls and emails. Also, as we were getting ready to go he ran to parts and service for us to inquire on some add-ons we were contemplating, even though his job with us was done. Rodney was the finance manager and has a wonderful big personality and made all our paperwork go quickly and effortlessly. Their responses to reviews seem very aggressive -- I wouldnt want to purchase a car from them with that sort of defensive attitude. I had a flat and had no appointment. It was early morning and I pulled in and it was busy. I though there goes my morning. The manager greeted me warmly. It was my first time here and as a woman expected the worst. He brought me to a lovely woman named Meghan and they had a new tore and a car wash done in under an hour. The shop is huge! There were a lot of mechanics and it was spotless. This will be my new dealer! So happy with the service!

Keep giving them a chance since they are local but this was the last time.On top of taking almost two hours for an “express oil change” I was told I had a nail in my tire that they think I should repair. I get home and put the car in the air and guess what..... not a single nail in any of my tires!!!!Terrible service and sales departments.

I like and trust this dealership. I bough a white Subaru Forester (Base) 12 years ago and loved the car. I liked going in and having it serviced, I liked the staff and location. When it was time to replace that car I wanted to get a Volvo or Audi. I drove around CT to find the cars I like but in the end, I bought a white Subaru, Forester (Limited) it was better value, and had more intuitive dash system. I also realized I preferred going to this dealership for the next 10 years over any other. They are very attentive, friendly and clearly pride themselves on customer service.

First time visit to the new service center. I drove up Premiers service bay doors and entered. Immediately, I was greeted by an attendant who covered the seat, floors and steering wheel. Off I went to meet the service writer. She created a work order and went over my needs. After paper work was done, I went to their modern waiting area to wait for my complimentary ride back to work. After several minutes, I was in the dealers extremely clean van and on my way back. Do not hesitate to visit Premier Suburu for sales and service. Great experience.

I called today and spoke to Anthony in service, I had broken a part on my mother in laws car and needed a new handle but needed it ASAP. they didn’t have it but rather than lie and say we don’t have it and now you have to wait. he was able to help me find the part elsewhere even if it meant they didn’t make the sale. To me that says A LOT! In a world where it feels like everyone is so just flat out mean and or out for themselves it was a breath of fresh air to meet and honest salesmen (i guess they do exist ) and wanted to take some time to share my experience. Express oil change plus tire rotation takes 1 and half hour .. during my last oil change sales person recommended tire rotation, and then when I purchased coupon which comes with free tire rotation, tire rotation was no longer recommended.. so sales people who are not sure are willing to charge for tire rotation before consulting technician??? Anyway, so on august 2020 tire rotation wasn’t done..(I understand it’s not needed, my car is literally like new as due to covid I didn’t go anywhere), even then on august the person who attended me recommended tire rotation to charge the fee, I purchased the coupon upfront that I received in email and then technician DOESNT recommend tire rotation which sales person tried to make me buy.. today luckily I informed I have free tire rotation as I have purchased the 5 service coupon which comes with oil change and several services including tire rotation and she recommended tire rotation.. I bought car here so express check out should not take 1hr 45mins.. after an hour my car came into service area as I was watching from the other side at the seating area.. last two times my express checkout was quicker.. had I known I would have taken loaner car which is again complimentary for me as promised during time of purchase (I have a list of what I get - buyers benefits package)... overall vibe is not so good.. i do not have high expectations from any dealership anyway.. I come here every 6 months only to not violate my lifetime powertrain warranty.. I would recommend people to buy such coupons which would save you a lot.. my first oil change costed me $82, second time I bought $224 coupon for 5 oil change plus tire rotation and few other free service.. since I purchased car here I get free car wash every service but have to ask for it everytime I come, today I didn’t ask as it’s raining heavily.. and also have express oil change, multi point inspection, tire rotations .. I feel they should know their customers better (meaning keep records in system so we don’t have to tell evetytjme that we have coupon or we have free complimentary car wash) don’t sales use these as wonderful complimentary features? Then why do they make us ask everytime as if we are asking for something we are not entitled too? English is not my first language, I tried to use appropriate words, hope I made myself clear here.. 2 stars for bad vibe during services, 4 stars for sales .. average 3 stars ..Edit: I emailed you the coupon that clearly states each service includes: new filter, change up to 5 qts oil, tire rotation, check pressure and lubricator chassis.Edit: train your sales guys to not try to fool people. On august 2020, he recommended tire rotation, after I purchased the 5 service with the coupon I emailed boom tire rotation not done. After reaching home I saw tire rotation was not done as written in the document. So as soon as I bought the 5 oil change using the coupon it wasn’t recommended. Had I paid extra for tire rotation it was recommended!!On 26th feb I informed the lady about it, she literally argued with me over nothing, until I showed her the email coupon which I had purchased. She didn’t inform me that it will take 1 and half hours in the beginning, as last two times I was in express I didn’t know it would take this long, only after I went and asked again that’s when my car finally went into service area.

The technology they have at this dealership is amazing. I drove in thinking that I needed a little extra air in my tires as the indicator app went on. After all the weather got cold, so this is normal. They have this sensor you drive through to enter the garage. It showed exactly which tire (only one) and come to find out I had a small nail/screw. They took tire off, patched from inside, balanced the tire and washed my car, while I waited a short time. It cost me less than lunch cost at Wendys...

The facility was very nice, clean, and pretty cool. Had a great space to do work while I waited. Just routine appointment for me (oil change and recall), but they did a fine job. Also had them change over from snow tires and do realignment, which was incredibly more expensive than I anticipated, but thats on me — I know dealers are always more expensive. Probably the only annoying thing were the incessant survey emails following my appointment, hence my review here. :)

I do not recommend going to this Subaru dealership. I recently went there to trade in my moms Subaru, who recently passed, and then purchase a car for myself. First thing they did that was unsatisfactory was that they fought me over 400$ on the blue book value of my dead mom’s car even though a week before I traded it in they quoted me the higher trade in value but because it was a week later they said the car was devalued by 400$ in that time span. In the end I was not able to get the full trade in value that they quoted me a week prior. After that I then bought a used car from them which had a lean code go off within a month of purchasing the car. This lean code was not able to be fixed until several trips to a mechanic and thousands of dollars spent. They also sold me the car with a ton of safety features not up to par. For example, I had to get all new brakes (rotors and pads), four new tires, spark plugs, power steering flushed, and many more maintenance items done to the car within the first couple of months, showing that this Subaru dealership is not of high character and does not care about the quality OR SAFETY of their product or customers as all of these items that I have mentioned could have been fixed by the dealership for pennies on the dollar . But, instead of fixing them they chose to cover up these problems, put the customers life in danger and make me foot the bill for all these safety issues that any reputable dealership would have fixed before even putting the car out on the lot to be sold. Lastly, I was stupid enough to go back to this dealership for a maintenance checkup, where they charged me 30$ for an oil change. I thought this was a good deal, but I was wrong. The Subaru dealership employee gave me that price and changed my oil knowing full well that he was giving me conventional oil in my car even though it recommended at the worst a half and half blend. So, this means that he nor anyone at the Subaru dealership in Branford CT cared about the quality of their service or the quality of the car’s lifespan, but instead was just looking for the business and gave me the cheapest product they had even though it wasn’t the best thing for my car. To conclude I highly suggest you look somewhere else for a car because they are going to try to take advantage of you every way they can while giving you an inferior product. This dealership has no class, character, or respect.

We purchased a brand new, 2021 Subaru Outback Onyx XT and our experience with Premier Subaru was fantastic!We started the process online and Barbara Shaham reached out to us and was very welcoming and helped us setup up an appointment to come test drive our new car.Taylor Frawley was our sales associate, and she made us feel like family the minute we walked in. Taylor did an amazing job guiding us through the car, all of its features, and made the entire experience fun and enjoyable. She is awesome and we highly recommend everyone see her when they come to the dealership!Rodney Pomerleau handled our financing and paperwork; he is very personable and explained every aspect of not only the financials, but the warranty related items as well. We walked away feeling very secure and confident in our decision to purchase our car through Premier Subaru.Overall, what should have been a stressful experience, was really enjoyable and exciting. This is an excellent dealership, with an amazing team, and a really nice facility. We never felt pressured to do anything, and they were always open to our requests and honest in answering all of our questions. From Fairfield and my family has purchased three Subarus and serviced four Subarus from the dealership. Recently went in for service and ordered a part based on the recommendation of the service technician. I was promised the part within 3-4 days, but never heard even an update from the service center for over a month. The service center didnt even bother to let me know when the part arrived. Was subsequently promised a refund after all of this only for the service center to renege after the fact. I never write reviews and I intentionally drive 40 miles for years to go to this dealership, but will not be patronizing it any further. Plenty of options from other Subaru centers across Fairfield County to even Firestone that do a fantastic job and high level of professionalism to justify this trip and premium on labor.

The sales person was great. Wont say the dealership is honest. My purchase was an as is car that had undergone an inspection by their technicians. Their safety inspection said there were no issues and car was safe to drive. My mechanic found the rear shocks were blown and gaskets leaking oil.The manager had nothing to say to this.The brakes areiffy. Will post an update.

Weve had excellent service from you for years and bought our 2012 Forester from you, too. Still, yesterday, Nov. 16, 2020, Rebecca and the team went above and beyond. They rescued Holly and her melting ice cream from the StopNShop Hamden CT parking lot when the Forester starter wouldnt connect, and Fred was just home from major surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital. When the courtesy van arrived (we never got the kind drivers name!) and the Forester had started after all, the van driver followed Holly home safely even though there was no Subaru service needed. WHAT A KINDNESS! You really saved the day... and Fred got his yogurt with no spoilage! THANK YOU PREMIER!

Started my 2019 Forester after work today to see my tire pressure light come on for 1st time since I bought my car. My first time with nitrogen-filled tires, so naturally I called Premier Subaru where I bought her. They closed at 6pm, I couldnt get there before 5:50. But these wonderful folks told me come, were here for you. And they were. They stayed well past their 6pm closing to help me - office and maintenance staff alike. Turned out I had a nail in my tire. They offered me a choice of putting on the spare & coming back tomorrow after theyd repaired my tire, or waiting while they fixed my tire - about 1/2 hour. I didnt want to make them stay any later than they already had, so I opted for the spare. But the important thing is they ALL offered to stay well past their quitting time to help me.Ive been with Premier Subaru since I bought my 2012 Forester. They have always treated me with respect, stood behind their vehicles, and been there to help me. As long as I live anywhere within reach of Branford Premier Subaru I will never go anywhere else.

In May, I went to Premier for an oil change (66k miles) and was informed that I needed new brake pads on both the front and the back. I was told that my back brake pads were less than 3mm, very unsafe, and almost metal on metal. So, I had those changed ($330), not a problem. I was told that the front were at 4mm and they urged that I change those that day (additional $330) before driving across the country. Against their advice, I opted to wait on the front pads until they were at/below 3mm.Now Aug (70k miles), I took my car to a dealership in Colorado to have the front brake pads changed after several months on steep mountain grades. This Colorado dealership said (and showed me) that my front brake pads did NOT need to be changed as they were actually 7mm - at half their life. He said he could not in good conscience replace my brake pads when they were in such good condition.Be cautious of Premier trying to take advantage, especially if you are a student or young female.

Poor customer serviceAll they had to do was dealer prep a 2019 Legacy. They held the car for almost three weeks and never returned my calls until after I finally insisted on speaking with the General Manager Brad. Even after that I had to continue to call the leasing company and play phone games with office personnel that didnt attempt to cooperate.I had plans to have extra keys made and buy some options from them but I wont now. If they dont like doing dealer prep then why do they bid for it to the big leasing companies.Finally, while I was adjusting mirrors and trying to connect Bluetooth in my vehicle a man came out and asked why I gave them a low rating on Google Reviews. At first I thought he was going to apologize and see if they could make it up to me but instead the conversation went south quickly, he got angry so I rolled up my window. A couple of minutes later he walked back out and told me I had to leave the parking lot. I would be more than happy to speak directly with Brad the GM if he wants some constructive feedback. He knows my number and is the only reason i didnt give them a lower rating.

5 stars for our great experience leasing a new Ascent with Dalton last year. Zero stars for our experience with Barbara when we were looking to purchase our daughters first car. She found the car herself which had been just posted and immediately e-mailed her interest in the car. She was told she had to wait as it wasnt through safety inspection yet. FOR FOUR WEEKS she e-mailed follow ups and got the same response until she was notified yesterday that it was sold. To me, this is a HUGE lack of integrity and is flatly disrespectful. To add insult to injury Barbara offered another more expensive car that ALSO had to go through safety inspection still. Aside from the lease we are currently in we will no longer consider doing business with Premier.

I just bought a new car this last week from Premier Subaru. I got great customer service from beginning to end. Dalton has been very friendly and helped me through the whole process. I was given a tutorial on how to use all of the features in the new car, got my questions answered and everything set up the way I wanted.
