If you are looking for an honest auto repair shop, I would recommend Clarke Automotive. I had taken my car to another auto repair shop and after a very cursory evaluation (I say that because they only had the car up for literally 5 minutes before coming back to tell me what was wrong), they told me it was a coolant leak and quoted me a very large repair bill. I dont know anything about cars, so I called my brother who does and he did not think that was correct. A family member recommend Clarke Automotive, so I took my car there. They were able to let me know that it was an oil leak and were able to fix it at a much less expensive and reasonable price. My car is now running great and I am very thankful thatI found these guys.

Stellar customer service. Timely, friendly, and fast! The technician stayed late and worked early the next day to get my car running so that I could go to work in the afternoon.Matt in the front office very clearly articulated every step of the process, from letting me know what repairs and maintenance they recommended to when they were being done and when they were completed.He even offered to get me an Enterprise rental car at his own expense, in case my car wasnt ready in time. Talk about going above and beyond!I will definitely be back, and I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the Brandon/Tampa area.

Friendly folks.So far, so good on the work done (alternator replacement). Good warranty (2y/24mo).Curiosity - there is a charge for diagnosis (about $125 or so) that is not removed should you choose to get the work done there. I understand they must cover their time, but this is usually dropped if you choose to make the repair. This is the only oddity. Otherwise, the service and folks were cool.Id use them again depending on the diagnosis charge response. It seems like an honest business.

I have been taking my car here for years, they always explain what the problems and solutions are, fair pricing, and my car is always ready when they say it will be. What more could I reasonably ask for? Also, this business was recommended to me by someone who is really into cars. Im not into cars as a hobby personally, its strictly a way to get from one place to another for me, but a recommendation like that is meaningful.

I have an old truck that is very special to me and I needed some work done and was having a hard time finding anyone that would look at it due to the age and lack of diagnostic equipment for an older truck. These guys were able to figure out what was wrong very quickly and also fix some other things that I had going on with it very promptly and did a fantastic job. I will be returning for all my old truck needs!

Great experience. They were very responsive and offered a great value. This is one of the first auto mechanic places Ive been to in a long long time that didnt try to pad the bill. I got a very reasonable price and only paid for what needed done.

We were traveling from California, pulling out RV when the brakes started making metal to metal grinding. They took us in the next day and took picture of all the brakes, highlighting the bad areas. They finished the job in one day, so we could get under way. The results were terrific. I highly recommend this place. The people were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

I’ve been taking my vehicles to Clark’s for years and they have always been fair and honest . Mike and his father are always friendly and eager to help. For example today I had my lift gate repaired on my Buick and Mike took $60 off my bill because he said it didn’t take them as long as he thought it would to repair . Any other place would have charged me the original agreed upon amount . I won’t trust any other mechanic with my vehicles .

I have a 2010 Honda Civic that was blowing warm air. After a week of sweating I decided to book an appointment online with Clarke Automative systems and the online booking system was easy to use. Upon arrival for my appointment I was warmly greeted by Matt and he let me know how they would diagnose my car with exact detail. I left my car at the shop as Matt mentioned that it could be the compressor and they would need some time to determine the exact issue. The next day Bob Clarke called me letting me know that it could be both the compressor and the condenser with a great explanation and I decided to go on with the work. Turns out that now I have very cold Air conditioning and a 2 year warranty. Ray worked on my car and did an amazing job. I will bring all of my cars here from now on, exceptional service!

Called in the afternoon to see if I could schedule an oil and filter change the next day. They were able to schedule me for the next morning at 8 AM and did the job while I waited. I was out about 9 AM and theynhad done a check of the tires, fluids, and safety items. I have been accustomed for several years and their service has always been exceptional.

Wow, I was surprised to find a great mechanic with good, old-fashioned customer service. This place truly is an awesome business in Brandon. First, the customer ahead of me was having repair done and there was an issue with getting his car ready quickly because of the work to be done. Since the issue was related to a warranty on the part, they paid for his rental car and arranged for him to transported directly to where the rental was going to be...what a great dedication to customer satisfaction.I brought in my SUV for an error message, and they were able to quickly diagnose the problem and let me know that there were two components that needed to be fixed - a tire and a part for a sensor on the vehicle. I was given a list of tires with prices compared to the expected milage out of the tire and the autonomy to pick which tire would best suite my needs for the vehicle. Since the tire was not in stock, I was given a ride to my house and offered a shuttle for return to the facility if needed. The vehicle was ready in a reasonable time, and I was informed that the sensor was something that could wait to be replaced and was emailed a quote for the part that I could arrange to have replaced at a time that was more convenient for my busy schedule (screenshot enclosed of the email with an invoice of services provided and there is the recommendation for additional part in the invoice).They have an early bird/night owl drop off system for the working professional that is also an awesome feature for those of us who work unpredictable hours and may need some flexibility in when youre able to pick up or drop off the vehicle.THIS IS A FANTASTIC AND RARE FIND in my experience of having repairs done on vehicles over the years, and I truly recommend this place if youre looking for a fair assessment of your vehicle and a reasonable price for parts and labor with a quote provided beforehand that is reasonable to the delivered product. Instantly a fan of this hidden gem.

The staff here are incredibly honest. They treat everyone with high levels of respect and efficiently assist you in your car troubles. I was leaving town because of an emergency via job and my car had started smoking the previous day. I was still skeptical when taking my Chrysler 300 to anyone. I have been on the fence about writing this review, but after reflecting on the financial decisions I made in 2020, going here was where I wasted the most money.I basically wanted to get a quote to get my GTI inspected for preventative maintenance. I was a little shocked when they made my inspection go from $57.95, to $157.42 just to receive a sheet of OBD codes I already had. They could’ve at least made sure the airbag sensor worked like I had requested when they broke the news about paying more.To wrap it all up, they treated me like a dumb “young man” throughout my whole experience. I came here for professional advice to make my GTI last as long as possible, and I did not appreciate being told my GTI needed $1,200+ in unnecessary repairs on top of an inspection which is usually free.I could not find another mechanic faster.

After reading all the great reviews I had to come by to see for myself if this place was all people say it was. I was not disappointed. A small place inside but good atmosphere. Yard and inside was clean and orderly. Every face friendly and bright. Service was great and reasonable. I’m very satisfied.

I recently brought my car in for a repair, however, once the car was at the shop it was no longer acting up.... The shop called to tell me it would be better to hold off on any repairs then just start replacing random stuff. WHAT! WOW! I have never had a repair shop tell me to wait!!!
