Such a great job from beginning to end. You get greeted by the lovely ladies at the desk a day are given all the information needed for the appointment. The doctor is great and thorough. The customer service reps that help you with the glasses are also so nice and helpful. Had such a great experience. They have such a variety in glasses as well for all women, men and children.
Super nice people, could have got a pizza and stayed all night. They could not fix my Grey hair.
Very disappointed in today. Had an appointment for myself and daughter, daughter got there on time however my appointment 20 minutes later I arrived late because of an accident on the way. Called my daughter so she could let them know and see if they wanted me to reschedule they said no its ok if shes late. I arrive do the paperwork and sit to wait to only have happen after sitting that time to be told I had to reschedule. As a healthcare professional myself I find this very poor customer service.
Sharon has been fantastic with the customer service. She knows a lot of information and patiently explained everything related to frames/selection/lens etc., Glad we chose this visionworks at Southshore plaza. The experience has been exceeding expectations throughout! Thank you!!
Went here to get a prescription for contacts and they were great! They were consistently cleaning anything that people touched, everyone was masked and distancing, and they even took my temperature before letting me in!The employees were super friendly and helpful and the doctor was equally excellent! I was in and out within 35 minutes with my new contact prescription. Very happy!

I went to Visionworks at SS Plaza and my experience was wonderful! Very professional staff. My temperature was taken at the entrance, everything was explained in detail. I was called on time for my exam and the OD was very informative through the whole exam.

This place was wonderful! They got me in and out very quickly, and their prices are more than fair for contacts and exams. Doctor was very polite and so were the front desk staff.
They do not answer their phone, so you cannot ask questions, otherwise they are OK

I had a pleasant experience at this location in South Shore Mall. I was assisted by two helpful and polite ladies named Heather and Mary. They took the extra time to look into my insurance and warranty in order to fix my lenses. Definitely saved me a lot of time and money! I definitely would recommend this place and will be coming back in the future.
The previous reviews of this store are scary. But I think it’s been under new management for a little while because my experience was absolutely painless. Came in for a long overdue eye exam and the eye doctor (can’t remember his name) was super polite and informative. Then when it came time to pick my new glasses, Mary Ellen and Chuck were easy to work with. My glasses also came in a day early! Thank you everyone!
I visited today and received amazing service. I went in only planning to buy one pair of glasses, but their June sale made it significantly cheaper to buy two pairs, even with with anti-glare and transition lenses added. All in all I believe I saved around $450 compared to the regular price of both pairs. Sharon helped me out as soon as she was free and was extremely pleasant and helpful.I also visited a few weeks back for a scheduled eye exam. Unfortunately my insurance was unable to cover the exam, so I had to have it done elsewhere, but the secretary was extremely kind and apologetic about it.While I only had a few short visits, I received top-notch service and would readily return if I ever need new glasses.
Well I just came back from the SSP store. FYI readers “Leo” mentioned in other negative reviews is no longer part of the organization.I called ahead and spoke with Mary who is very polite on the phone but due to the reviews I was still prepared.I arrived with my family to buy my child glasses and both Richard and Mary were not only professional informative and polite but they also extended us the courtesy of not pushing us out of the store because they were due to close very soon.I purchased three pair of glasses and I’m very excited I will definitely refer this location to anyone wanting glasses in the South Shore and beyond. thank you Mary and Richard and hope you have a great evening -Happy customer who will come again ( but hopefully not because my child breaks all three pair of glasses😊)
Store corrected shipping issue and helped me to get my wifey contacts to wear until they arrive. Very pleased with the stores interest in resolving the situation and they will retain us as future customers.
I had my vision test and got new pair of glasses all good so far. Then a couple of weeks ago my frame broke and one of the lenses popped out. Later unable to find that lens i went to get a new lens for that eye. They are pretty efficient, and i got the lens set in an hour. NOW... when i try them on... CRAP i cannot see anything properly. They said may be because my glasses were not aligned before, and now that it is you will feel better in a day. Okay.... so i tried it over the weekend.. and got a bad .. real bad headache... To my relief I found the lens I had lost before, and replaced the sick lens myself.... and the world looked better now. GUESS WHAT THE ERROR WAS..... THEIR SYSTEM HAD INCORRECT LENS NUMBER. I am yet o discover what the issue was.... but i guess instead of a PLUS, they gave me a MINUS ...WAS A CRAPPY WEEKEND, and the rating is for spoiling it.

Walked in today to look to purchase a pair of glasses, great sale got to pairs of glasses for a great deal. Customer service was very helpful and friendly, they have really improved in customer service since last time I stopped in in April.
UPDATE: Well worth editing to say i went for this annual exam due to concerns i had about losing some vision in one eye. I was told i was just getting old. A visit to my ophthalmologist when the symptoms didn’t go away revealed that i had a scary condition called CRVO. I’ll never go anywhere besides the doctors office again now!Scared myself reading these reviews in the car st the last minute. However everything was truly flawless. Front desk was knowledgeable and polite. Dr. answered all my questions thoroughly. They must have fixed all the problems people described here.
Went in for new glasses and I had a much better experience than last year. I can tell there is a much different staff in place.
There is a new manager named MaryEllen who is awesome and is clearly working hard to make a difference! Bob is fantastic as well!
I dont understand why every year you have to pay $60.00 for a consultation fee for contacts. I could see if this was the first time you have been fitted for contacts but my son and I have gone a few times. They bill my insurance for exam time and I pay for the contacts. The consultantion fee every year is so wrong. I did write costumer service asking this question. Ive called some other places and they do not charge this fee.
Staff is horrible. They lie and are incompetent. Made primises and dont follow thru. Never appologize, just deny, deny, deny.

Ive been here twice, and both times the manager was awful to every employee he spoke to. I spent the entire time waiting for my appointment listening to him berate at least three different people. I will not be returning because of this.

Fool me twice - shame on me!Why in the world would I have thought that because this business (formally known as Cambridge Eye Doctors) would have changed, because the new branding.Ive been a patient of VisionWorks (formally known as Cambridge Eye Doctors) for over 10 years, and every year it becomes one worst experience than the last.Just recently I decided the new location located in the South Shore Mall in Braintree; and I must say that the manager (Leo) made this one of the most difficult and unpleasant experiences in the 10 years Ive done business with this company.Leo has to be one of the most arrogant and rudest people Ive ever dealt with. This man is not only verbally abusive to his customers he takes another level by being rude to his employees in front of customers. Leo bad mouths the doctor and talks down to the employees. I will be sure to return back to Quincy so I dont have to deal with him again.On the brighter side, the doctor was an absolute professional and EXTREMELY thorough.
This place was awful, management was rude to their customers an employees I seen an employee in the back getting yelled at so bad she folded like a lawn chair 😑 only At that point I knew I couldn’t buy glasses 👓 from them. I was waiting for a long time as management was tearing her a new one so before I turned away to walk out I seen a beluga on my 9 o clock and had to ask her is she being kept from wildlife reserve she look unhappy so I called ASPCA quickly an delligently as I was on the phone management came over an asked me for help an I told him he can’t have belugas working out front they belong in the ocean 🌊 it’s not right at all, he tried to blackmail me with glasses an I didn’t take the bait. I knew what I was up against an had to be careful not to fall for his trap. So I slapped a tracking device on the beluga an made my way out, I’ll be back but just for you people out there wanting to buy glasses just know visionworks supports animal abuse an it stops with you not shopping there. Its been two months and still havent recieved my glasses, keep getting excuses why theyre not done. They have a good dr but other than that the staff sucks and so does the company.
The manager is a racist ass hole and he talks down to people as if were beneath him. I wish i could have video recorded him leaning in closw to my face aa if i couldnt hear him. No beuno
Don’t go here. Incompetent staff, terrible customer service. I ordered glasses and had to back 4 Times because the lenses were scratched each time. It took six weeks to get a pair that wasn’t scratched!
Terrible, just dont go here, they messed everythng up I have now been waiting six weeks for my glasses UNACCECPTIBLE !!!!
