I have bought a couple new vehicles from this store and I am very happy with the way those transactions turned out, but as a service center they are really falling apart. Long story short, I brought my pickup in for a simple repair. They kept my pickup for a week. Charged me over a thousand dollars and didnt fix the problem. When I called and asked that they compensate or reimburse me for a portion of the bill they were not exactly easy to deal with. If you have a problem with them, dont expect them to ever call you back. Somehow they kept losing my number. Odd.
Staff are professional and friendly. I would highly recommend Tanner Service for Auto repairs.

I called and reported the problem and a technician showed up at my house within hours to diagnose. They later brought my car back to the shop and cleared the problem. My experience with Tanner Motors has been very pleasing. The people that I have had contact with have been very polite, courteous and knowledgeable. My repairs were completed within the time limit I was told. Even having to wear masks, the waiting area was comfortable.I would use Tanners again in the event that I would need more work done.
The young man who worked behind the service counter when we got our Jeep Cherokee serviced on 01/28/21 was very polite and helpful. He also could fully explain the issues with the Jeep and how they would check them. Our only suggestion for an even better customer experience would be for the service center to offer a shuttle to the shopping mall located a few blocks away for something to do while your car is being worked on. We walked there but it was cold and windy.

My 2012 Jeep Overland Cherokee had a catastrophic failure and died on the highway 3 hours from home. The Jeep was then transferred to Tanner Motors where the repair assessment and all required repairs where applied. Their communication during the 6 week extensive repair process was amazing and since pulling away several weeks ago there hasnt been any follow up things to fix; they did it right the first time. Dont believe auto tech rotated my tires correct. My manuel shows different pattern for my Jeep. This was March 2021 service. Current service was July 13, 2021 Very happy will the complete service tech performed on my Jeep. Thank you Laura & staff

Wouldnt replace a battery with a 2 year replacement. Tried both sales and service center with same answer. Not our problem, call the battery manufacturer. Spent alot of money at Tanners over the years. No more

The staff was really nice and friendly they manage to squeeze me in, for fuel filter change & block heater . The wait was quite long over 3 hours but still got it done .
Had a wonderful experience with Aaron at Tanner Motors. Drove up from St. Cloud on Wednesday to look at a truck and we had to bring our dog with since we worked all day. They let him come with on the test drive and when we went in to sign papers, they let him come in the building and even gave him water. We were going to go back up on Friday to pick up the truck and finish signing papers, but they had a couple of guys deliver it to us in St. Cloud and they drove our trade ins back with them. I highly recommend getting a vehicle from Tanner Motors!

This is a bit overdue, since we bought our truck from Tanner over 2 months ago. If you want good old fashioned service, and a STELLAR, knowledgeable sales person, then ask for Shannon. I am very leery of high pressure dealerships, and take pains to avoid them. I was really pleasantly surprised with Shannons friendly, easy-going, yet energetic manner. He carefully listened to us and we found the perfect vehicle for us the first day out looking for our new truck. Never once did he pressure us. Over and above service, he even brought water out for our Yellow Lab who was tagging along that day lol :) SO glad we choose Tanner, and that Shannon was the one to pick up the phone that day. It made for a really pleasant buying experience!

I had an appointment. They got my car in on time and performed service in a timely manner. They did not try to sell me filters or parts and the bill estimate was what I paid. Excellent job and I will go back again.
I went to Tanner motors to ask them to check out a service light that was coming on. They said they would take it in and figure out what was going on and charged me $120 just for the diagnosis. I was then told that I needed a specific part that they didn’t have but that it would cost around $500 to replace. I went ahead and had them order the part that I needed and they said they would call me ASAP as soon as it shipped and then when it arrived at the store as well. I never heard back from them. I decided to take my business elsewhere.

I wish they had a baby changing table in their waiting room bathroom! Ran into an incident when I was waiting with my baby now for the second time. Luckily grandma was able to come, but she had to drive from Crosby to help us. Otherwise normally I would have been able to change babys diaper in the back of my jeep, but when it dupnin the air being worked on that was quite nthe dilemma I was out in the other day.

By no means is it the Baxter staff/ mechanic responsibility. But I needed to have my AC unit replaced with some (O-rings) . It was still under warranty. However, I was placed on a waiting list for this specific part(s). This took four months. So I spent the MN summer without AC. In fact, I was informed that the dealerships are restricted to only 3 (AC rebuild kits). My major concern is if anything else goes out while under warranty, should I prepare myself for another 3-4 months waiting list.
My car broke down on my way through Brainerd Lakes area on a Thursday after hours. Friday morning I spoke to Jason who was very helpful in answering all my questions. My husband had been calling around to figure out what we were going to do with our vehicle- other places in town didn’t have openings until the following Thursday. When he asked other shops for suggestions, you came highly recommended and we had it towed to Tanner Motors. Jason (and the rest of the service staff) was very apologetic for my situation and were friendly and welcoming. There was a little miscommunication about when exactly they could look at my car, with their full schedule (& it being nearly a weekend). They were able to get my car in a day earlier than they had originally said. They not only did the needed repairs, but worked on the factory recalls my car needed. They got my car running and me back on my roadtrip!

Had my truck in right away, found a couple more issues, spendy but I know it was done right. Fixed everything up and had it done by 5pm that day.Second trip in with truck, I dropped it off 3 days earlier then my scheduled appointment because of time constraints, got a call the next day saying truck was done, very impressive!!!! Tanner is starting to earn my trust in dealership service.

Worked with Shannon. Test drove a decent vehicle, but had dent in bumper, plastic coming off nerf bar, and damage to interior driver door. Their asking price was just below KBB excellent value, which vehicle was not in excellent condition. They would not negotiate even $1.00 with the defects in the vehicle. It also has a check engine light on, which they said they would fix. But said they would only negotiate if they didnt fix the problem. That, to me, is a very pathetic attempt at negotiation.......If they dont fix it???? Why would you put a vehicle on a lot with a check engine light on anyway. Good grief. SMH. Will NOT be purchasing from these crooks.
We drove up from the cities after looking at other dealerships to help our daughter purchase her 1st new vehicle. Her first 2019 Nissan Altima was purchased here also. I recently leased a Nissan Rogue from Tanner and worked with Corey. He was courteous, quick to respond, knowledgeable, and didnt give me the run around. The team worked with my needs and got me the car I wanted, and within the time frame I needed it. Corey offered delivery to the cities and even came in on his day off to help me go through the signing process. Cant say enough of the customer service I experienced and will definitely be back for future purchases!
Be careful with this outfit. I made an appointment to go see a vehicle and they sold it from under me. Clearly they do not hold themselves to their word. I spoke specifically with Cory and would not recommend.To give myself some credit I purchase 10-15 vehicles a year for my employees throughout 3 different states. I will give none of my future business to this dealership. This was my first and last experience.
Had truck in for routine oil change service. Use Tanner because they check everything out also. Found a couple of additional items that needed taken care of. I appreciate the extra time taken to do the job right as I love this truck and plan on keeping is as my forever truck.
Tried calling about array of things and they don’t return calls when you leave messages. About a 50/50 shot that they will call you back. When they do call you back the employees are friendly and nice.Update 2/15/19: Had to call again for a repair and after 5 times calling finally got a hold of the parts department.Update 2/19/19: After calling 12 times, finally got to a service adviser named Dillon, he is great super kind even followed up with me on the phone afterwards. He is the best one they have there and takes the time to call people and follow up and go the extra mile to find out the answers to your questions.

Our salesman was nice, easy to work with. However, information seemed to get miscommunicated between the multiple people we worked with the day we bought our vehicle. I specifically asked for our credit union to do the financing instead they ran our credit with all of their lenders and we were given a different bank. We are now waiting on the title to be able to switch the financing to our credit union for a better rate, shorter term, and considerably cheaper GAP insurance. I’ve had to speak with three different people at Tanner for various reasons. Each of the three people I spoke to required me calling them twice as I never heard back from my first call. I will likely not be buying another vehicle from Tanner. The only reason I gave three stars is because their service department is great and wonderful to work with.

This place has been horrible. They have had my van for over 2 weeks when all I asked them to do was run a scan and answer a simple question. Didnt hear from them for over a week, claim my van came with 2 flat tires (although they were new and NOT flat) I have had to call them 3 times with still no answer on my van and they dont return calls!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! And STILL waiting on my van!!!
Always had good service and good sales people. Not so great with the mechanics. Two bad diagnosis, fixed by another shop.

This Dealership not only tried to scam me out of 2200.00 for a part I didn’t need for 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee but they were charging double for the actual part itself. I had my Jeep evaluated at a reputable dealer where I had purchased my Jeep they had diagnosed my Jeep with needing an air bag sensor wiring harness that was still covered under warranty but I didn’t have time to get it fixed at this dealership so they suggested i get it fixed by my local dealership. TANNER AUTO INSISTED I NEEDED A COMPLETE WIRING HARNESS FOR MY ENTIRE JEEP WHICH IS A TOTAL LIE. I contacted the dealership that diagnosed my Jeep to begin with and explained the situation and the guy informed me they were trying to rip me off the part they had suggested was only 1100.00 and the CODY from BERNARDS JEEP didnt understand why they were charging 2200.00 when the part was only 1100.00. I WILL NEVER BRING MY BABY BACK TO THAT DISGUSTING DEALERSHIP AGAIN.

I have called their service dept 3 times and have left messages. My air suspension on my Ram truck has been nothing but problems. The cold weather makes all the air go out. It is absolutely dangerous to drive. Had it in the shop last year twice. Once I was told it was fixed. Drove 25 miles to pick it up. Nope didn’t work. Called and left messages on their service line 3 times. Never once did they call me back
